This is a very cute restaurant! Valet parking is offered here and can be confusing with the other establishments here. I came for a friend's birthday dinner. I had some drinks at the bar which were fantastic. However the staff didn't seem to be able to service a large party of people. Half the table had the drinks and orders taken while the rest of us waited a long time to be seen. The food here is lackluster in my opinion, very greasy and underwhelming. I would come back for the drinks though! read more

Rosa was amazing! She was really helpful with the menu and making suggestions to make our experience the best possible. When my girlfriend didn't like her drink after two sips she was more than accommodating to getting her something she would love. She definitely made our experience wonderful! read more

Another 5-star review is necessary. Very grateful for Taylor R. with the Harwood Hospitality team to have reached out to me at my workplace to host an evening event for my residents. Everyone had a fabulous time, and loved the margaritas and hors d'oeuvres. Very friendly staff and bartender. Most of my residents had not been to Te Deseo, and they were blown away and are excited to return! read more

Pre-COVID review. We came to Te Deseo for a client meeting back when it first opened. I remember it being one of the most aesthetically gorgeous restaurants I'd been to in Dallas! The staff was really personable and attentive to our table. They even surprised me with a sweet wedding "Felicidades" cake that was delicious! I also remember having delicious cocktails that were authentically Mexican inspired. We haven't returned in over a year so I can't speak to their COVID safety measures but we may have to call in a pickup order sometime! read more

Food is OKAY. Drinks were good. It's a very nice place to go to and dress up. Ambiance was romantic. Dim lighting, nice for a date night. But in my opinion I would only come back only if others wanted to. Food was not worth the overpricing. Upside: they have dancing upstairs on a rooftop for later in the evenings. read more

This was a dinner spot for a group of girlfriends before heading to our final spot. The vibes are very upscale, 30s & up, sexy, etc. The restaurant is so cute! The food & drinks were good! No issues with service. A little on the pricier side. I was a little surprised to see $17 guacamole. If you're prepared for that, you'll love the restaurant. read more

Great atmosphere and music, amazing drinks, and decent food. See below for the details: Came in for a late (10:30pm) dinner on a Friday night, and we needed reservations so be advised. The food is above average but not 'great'. The yellowtail tiradito was the best thing we ordered - great flavor with just enough acidity and a great sauce. The flautas and beans were fine but you'd do better at an authentic taqueria for a fraction of the price. Sea bass is tasty but if you look at the photo you'll notice that you can't see the fish underneath all the other 'stuff'. Maybe a little less stuff and just let the fish speak for itself ya know? The flan is very interesting as you get a tres leches disc on the bottom, separated by a 'tuile' of caramelized sugar. I really liked it! But the stars of Te Deseo and the reason it gets 4* from me are the drinks. There are 5 bars in the restaurant including a rooftop bar and it's basically a nightclub late so of course the drinks are awesome. Before we were seated we had a house margarita and an old fashioned - both were strong and delicious. With dinner we had a Smoking Conpanion (whiskey and tequila drink w banana, mole and Aztec chocolate bitters- wow!), Dragon Breath (cachaca and absinthe drink w a lot of fruits) and a Mambo #5 (frozen tequila drink w pineapple). All were delicious - can't go wrong w any of them! Finally, the ambiance is epic as long as you don't mind loud Latin music. The playlist has lots of Bad Bunny, Marc Anthony, and other reggaeton and latin pop. We felt pretty old as the crowd skews young (late-20s, early 30s) but it's a fun place so it's all good. Don't forget to check out the rooftop bar in the evening. When we were leaving around midnight there was a long line of at least 50 people waiting to get in for drinks and to hang out - yikes! read more

Firstly, this restaurant is absolutely gorgeous! From walking up the beautifully lit sidewalk to seeing the gorgeous front entrance, and then opening the doors and seeing a huge tree in the middle of the restaurant. The food is good, not the best I've experienced, but good enough that I went back twice :). And the service is always on point. This is a great place to take a date! The cocktails are damn good!! read more

This was my first time coming here! Food was great but we had a little problem. Wife and I had a little too much of an entre to handle and they offered to take our food and hold it while we went upstairs to their upstairs bar. While we were there for about an hour we were ready to leave. We gave the staff our number that that they gave us to pick up our food. turns out they couldn't find it. I guess the boogeyman ate it or the closet monster did. We were very disappointed since the food was very pricey. I wouldn't recommend trusting their staff to hold your stuff while you get a a drink. A whole meal gone to waste. Thanks a lot read more

Came here for Valentine's Day weekend! It was crowded but we had reservations and were seated promptly! The restaurant is dimly lit and beautifully decorated. Our waitress was wonderful ! I wish I remembered her name. She was very knowledgeable on the menus and have great suggestions . I ordered the short rib plate which was very flavorful! I also have French 75 which was not on the menus but was well made and delicious! Valet was so convenient! I would definitely return! read more

Meh, I went for NYE, the food is average and overpriced in my opinion. My server was incredible though! Also really cute bathrooms. Music had a fun Latin flare, cute atmosphere for a date or a night out. read more

I was so underwhelmed and I hate that. I wanted so much more from this really cute place! The atmosphere is ridiculously spot on for the gram!! However, that didn't translate through the food. I got the brisket quesadillas which were a little on the greasy tasting side, and that's all that looked good to eat to me. My friend has the fajita plate and she had to send it back because it was so well done she couldn't chew it. Drinks are okay, and overpriced unfortunately and they really don't do a great job with presentation. I think it's more of a place that caters to the ambiance rather than food because it is beautiful. I had no idea the rooftop was a thing, so that was cool to see. Word of advice for the big sign of roses though, move it so people can take pictures there without being embarrassed by security. That was rude... read more

Nope. There's so many glamorous restaurants with cool ambiences in Dallas with way better service. Took us almost 20 minutes to get a server to order drinks. Finally got a girl willing to help but she was overwhelmed so we had to keep tracking her down to order things etc the food was pretty good. And the place is pretty with good music. But to have an almost 2.5 hour experience just because we couldn't get decent service is just too much for me. Not sure I'll be back read more

Fun birthday celebration for my brother Sunday night. Chase is a great host. We were reserved for the 'La Familia' tapas, we were seated and told that they no longer offer the 'La Familia!' Got that sorted out & they chose to provide for our reservation. Our easy-going server made the confusion all better. Food was good. The pièce d'resistance was amazing...a skull chocolate lava cake, which they flambé with perhaps too much alcohol, served with ice cream taco & fresh fruit garnish. It was simply too fun for words. This has to be THE place to celebrate Day of the Dead! read more

This place was SO cute. The vibes in the place were very dark but romantic. The food and the service was just as great! They also have valet so you can just pull in and go to the restaurant. They have a bar on top as well. So once you're done with your dinner you can just go upstairs and enjoy the music and drinks! Definitely going back. read more

I decided to bring my husband here for Valentines to try something different. I made the reservation 2 weeks in advance for 2/15. We arrive and we get sat at a table that obviously doesn't belong there . Everyone getting sat walks by us so it became very annoying . The area looks like a dark closet , and the "court" area next to us had plenty of available tables and looked better because they had a lit candle . Our table didn't have anything to represent romantic dinner for valentines . At least a fake flower We decided to go with their pre-fixed meal for valentines for 2. Which consisted of a Cesar salad , a "parrillada" which was a combo of ny strip, chicken, Brazilian sausage , lamb, and Rice/beans all to share. I do believe it was plenty of food for 2. Although the food was not flavorful at all. Definitely the steak didn't have any flavor at all, it needed like just some salt . Lamb was ok , chicken was the best , sausage was ok too. Dessert was very yummy , it was freshly made churros , side of chocolate for dipping but you don't need it at all. Drink " Maluma baby " was great if you like whiskey but steep $15 per drink . I did ask the hostess once we were sat if we could be moved but she stated that all the tables were reserved and how if they moved us it would mess up the cycle they had going for this week . In a nutshell I would come back for only the drinks . read more

I made reservations to celebrate my birthday a month ahead of time. It was simple they have 6 max but I made a note for 8 and they changed it. So that was good. We got to the restaurant, and sat at the bar while we waited for everyone to arrive. The bar was the best part of the restaurant. The bartenders made an amazing drink. Dinner....we all ordered and the waiter was nice, I felt the quality of the food and the price was not equally yoked. You are definitely paying for the location and ambiance. 18$ for guac, and chips in a little bag, cute presentation but we came to eat. This is not the place to leave full and satisfied. Everything is à la carte. They don't have lots of items in the menu so I did not feel overwhelmed. Plans were to enjoy a cocktail and cigar after dinner on the roof top, I had called to see if I should reserve and was told no we could just go up after dinner. Well wrong, you have to reserve. And the staff up top is super rude. So birthday ended at 10 because the city was packed, they had multiple events, we couldn't get in anywhere else. We did find a little patio spot down at the bar and we had one drink before we left and that was the most peaceful spot. Over all, I don't plan on doing it again. Nothing was inviting another visit. But for some great photo opportunities and being downtown! Do it. read more

Service was slow for how slow overall the restaurant was but the best elote I ever had made up for it. The fajitas and shrimp diablo tacos were delicious. 3.5/5 Rating! Appetizers (0.7/1) : We got the stuffed arepas. We thought the masa was a little dry but the salsa underneath them was good. Cocktails (0.6/1): Initially I ordered the Deseame which was pineapple juice based with Malibu, antiqueño, & coconut. Our waitress said it was a popular drink, but I honestly didn't like it- it had a bitter aftertaste and the coconut chunks weren't it for me. I also tried the Gaviota which was better. It is a grapefruit and sparkling Jasmine water drink with Mezcal. The cocktail names were cute! Meal (0.7/1): I got the brisket tacos- they were spicy, meat was tender, and the corn tortillas was nice and soft. I was def a fan of them. Hubby got the Arrachera skewers with borracho beans and poblano rice as his sides. Overall we thought the sides were well seasoned and had a little kick. I liked it but my hubby wasn't a fan of spicy rice- I guess to each it's own on that one. The Arrachera meat was a little chewy and had a lot of fatty. Overall we thought the food was good. Dessert (0.6/1) To have a well rounded review we made it a 3 course meal. We chose the Churrones as our sweet. And unfortunately they were just okay. They pair them with a abuelita chocolate sauce which I was initially really excited to try. But the sauce was very grainy- kind of like putting pure abuelita chocolate and absolutely no milk. Idk. The churros were also not very soft and would fall apart. ‍ Service/Aesthetics (0.9/1): I think one of the reasons this restaurant is a top hit is it's aesthetic. The rooftop bar is beautiful, has a lot of photo ops and a beautiful view. After dark it turns into somewhat of a night club with bottle service and music. They also have a cigar bar which I thought was cool. The service was great, our waitress made sure to ask how everything tasted which made it less awkward when I asked if I could switch out my cocktail. Lol The only thing we were bummed about is being told we couldn't sit on the courtyard because it was booked already (we also made reservations) and were there for 1.5 hrs while it was half empty the whole time. So maybe if you want to be seated in the cute area specify that in your reservation. Our bill came out to be $125 with a tip. Overall, super cute place but food was just okay. read more

Te Deseo is a restaurant with a very beautiful decoration and its service and attention are excellent. As for the food, it really falls short for me. I ordered a ceviche 2/5, its flavor was overwhelmingly lemon. We ordered 2 more entrees which were simple and small without any impact on its flavor. Basically you are paying for the decoration of the place and its service. You can find the same type of food in any restaurant at a lower price. read more

First time coming here and it was very nice. Great date night place. The ambience is dark but enough light for to see each other. I have been waiting to visit this place for over a year and I'm kicking myself that I didn't go sooner. The service was so great, the ambiance is dimly lit (it's getting cold so we sat inside) but you can go upstairs to the rooftop after dinner for pictures or views. But the star of the show was definitely the food. Everything single thing was excellent and reasonably priced. I noticed that they are able to seat parties of 12+ if you're looking for a dinner party, girls night, or just date night! Te Deseo is a MUST! read more

So first off I want I to start positively because I'm not from Dallas and I was visiting for the week. The decor and location was beautiful the design in the interior was nice the rooftop was beautiful the staff was pretty friendly and the bathrooms were very clean. Now for my experience first off i tried to make a reservation being that it was a table of 8 people they said we had to come in and do it. So we waited at the rooftop upstairs until we were texted to be seated. To my surprise it was a 2 hour wait for our table which was a a bit crazy especially since we made it to the spot at 7pm so we placed out orders the appetizer came fast which was great cuz I was starving then our meals came my whole table got their meal except me. Mind you I madey order first. I didn't get my food until another 15 minutes so I have a feeling they didn't place my order in. So there's that. I'm sure some have had a great experience but for my table to be known to all be visitors to the city I expected a better experience. read more

This is not a club but they try. It's a restaurant that they turn into a club after hours. Everybody congregate to the rooftop because the view is amazing but the outside are all tables with very little standing room. The bar takes up most of the inside so the dance floor is literally where people walk around. Can't dance and keep a groove without interruption of somebody walking by every few seconds. I was annoyed. Music is Latin and hits or miss. read more
