If I could I would have left 0 stars. Went in on my day off with my mom so we could get our toes done. Waited 10 to 15 minutes to get back in a chair....okay but once we got there we sat for an hour.. looking over I see the woman who was there before us still waiting..but a woman who came in after us gets her toes done and nails started..and when I said something about it she said oh I called..well so did my mom.. the customer service was horrible. I walked into TD nails not realizing they were closing soon. It was a very cold Friday night, so I'm sure business was slow and they were ready to head home (they literally had their coats on ready to walk out) I apologized and left. I got in my car and thought, "Man, this is not my day," after already being on a string of bad luck-which is why I arrived so late. I don't get my nails done often and really wanted them done for an event the following day. As I was about to leave, one of the nail technicians came out to my car and insisted on taking care of my nails. I felt so bad having them stay open for me (working in the service industry for so long I know how frustrating last minute people could be) but they were so kind and generous that I almost cried. They did not see it as a bother. I was having one of those days where I just felt completely run down but Jo and her staff surely picked me up with their philanthropy. You could tell they were genuinely good people. That is something you don't see these days. And THAT is TRUE customer service. Thank you so much! I would highly recommend. I met some friends here recently who had come here many times before. I was impressed by the friendly staff and the number of chairs (probably 8 for manicures and 6 for pedicures). The entire place was clean and they did a good job. The only issue seems to be how long it takes--two solid hours for manicure and pedicure. However....it was only $27 for a pedicure, which was a good price in my opinion. :) Time well spent if you aren't in a huge hurry. read more

Staff is pleasant, although it takes quite awhile. Place could certainly be cleaner but the tools did come out of a sealed plastic package. Used hot rocks on my legs and feet during the pedicure which was an unexpected treat. For a regular pedicure and a gel manicure total cost was $58 which I found to be quite high. Went in on a Sunday to simply get my acrylic nails off. The gentleman that opened the salon that morning did not speak English so I had to wait for thirty minutes for another employee to arrive in order to be seen. Once the second employee arrived she sat me down to start taking my nails off. Every other time I have gotten acrylic they soaked off the nails in order to have a gentle removal. This female took a plastic fake nail and slid it between my real nail and the acrylic until the acrylic nail popped off. I usually have a very high pain tolerance but this was pure torture. The female employee kept telling me to relax my hand, meanwhile she's plucking off my finger nails one by one. The nails that were removed happened to pop off and were flying all over the salon. It was disgusting! I was tempted to run around and pick them up myself. Not one employee was phased by someone's USED acrylic nails lying all over the place. To make matters worse, when I returned to my seat after washing my hands, another client was sitting in my seat with my jacket, purse, and cellphone all in her possession. There were at least five stations available but the employee decided to start another client at the same station and sit her amongst all my personal belongings! I went to the counter and sat for at least five minutes to pay and not one employee even looked my way so I figured it must not cost anything to get acrylic removed so I began to make my way towards the door until two people ran after me and charged me 15 dollars! Overall I was left with raw nails, painful to touch, with chunky glue residue still in place. Worst experience. NEVER returning. read more

My friend and I stopped in here for a manicure and eyebrow wax. We asked at the front counter if there was anyone available to do one manicure and her wax and the woman looked around and said " Yes. We have people available." An hour later....we decided we had waited long enough and left. They weren't even close to being done with any of their other clients! I have been here 4 times, once for a pedicure, twice a manicure, and once for a polish change in that order. I got a fabulous pedicure the first visit...the woman had my feet soft as a baby's bum and the polish job was on point! It wasn't as clean as the salon I had been going to but seemed decent enough. So a bit later I went for a manicure. I was talked into a Cindi's naturals mani and I went with it. No formaldehyde, lasted 2 weeks, so I was happy. I decided to get an eyebrow wax...big mistake...huge. I barely have eyebrows as it is and after I left I had way less. They were wayyy to thin. This was 2015, not 1994. She convinced me into a lip wax which I didn't need but fine, people like to upsell. Fast forward to last week. I went in for a Cindi's manicure and it looked great. I sat there and let it dry for the recommended time but an hour later I smudged it. It should have been dry by then and I was very careful but the polish was very thick and looked old. Still loving how great of a polish job they did I returned today for a polish change as I have an important job interview tomorrow. The tech was relentless that I needed another manicure, mind you I just had one there 6 days ago! I agreed to it and then he pretty much forced me to get shellac. The shade I picked out was not even close to the sample. So he found a different polish that was exactly what I wanted but he didn't remove the first one. Granted, it still turned out nice and you can't really tell but I was bothered by the persistent upselling and I had to ask for another coat because it was really streaky when he was going to stop. Also, the cleanliness and equipment has gone downhill since My first visit 6 months ago. I hope they can get it together by summer because I loved that pedicure. read more

First the basics, they take CC but only for services, not for tips, although I think they have some sort of a first timer exception. You can call ahead for an appointment and in theory that will jump you ahead of the line. Pedicures here seem to take a long time, like over an hour, they seem to do a decent job read more

First of all- this place is GROSS!!! It looks old and dirty. I stopped here instead of my normal nail place because I needed a quick manicure and my salon had a wait and this place did not- now I know why. When I walked in I immediately started second guessing my choice to stop here, but there were two people getting a pedicure and I thought it can't be that bad, right? I told the woman I wanted a manicure and as she reached to grab a file that looked like it had just been used on someone else and was clearly dirty she asked if I wanted a full manicure or a polish change. Starting to get more nervous I took the polish change hoping to cut down on using any more dirty tools on me. My polish change took 50 minutes!! After the first coat of polish it looked like my three year old niece had tried to paint my nails. There was polish all over my fingers- and she wasn't going to fix it. I said something and asked shouldn't it be fixed before putting my hand in the dryer. She said oh yeah- it's just because it's so cold out it makes the polish run, we need a heater and then this wouldn't happen. What???? It's 65 degrees out today and we're in Michigan, it's going to get a lot colder. To sum up my story she tried to file over my skin, repaint, use top coat, then put polish over the top coat and then put more top coat over and over again for almost an hour. The polish was thick and all over my fingers, not to mention she didn't file evenly, so there were red ridges sticking up from my the tips of the nail. I had to stop her and say no when she went to try to put coat number 7 on my hands. Basically this was the worst manicure polish job I had ever seen and I told her that. She went on to tell me it was because I had picked a red polish and I had pale skin. Again, what??? After 50 minutes of her clearly not knowing what she was doing she told me to go home and wash my hands until the polish came off my skin and then told me my total was $20. For a polish change that I needed to immediately go somewhere else to remove and redo because it was so bad I could not even let it stay for work the next day. I was legit shocked. I will never ever go to this nasty place again. DO NOT EVER GO HERE!!! read more

Had the absolute WORST experience here today. I've gone in the past but the young gal (Helena) wasn't there and it was an older gentleman's turn. After painfully watching his attempt at shaping nails with the gel, I have come to the conclusion that it HAD to be his first day. They look horrific! If the weather wasn't so unseasonably warm, I'd be hiding them under gloves. Save your money ladies! Never again. read more

I got a shellac manicure for $30 and it started to lift up the next day when I asked the person to fix the nail right after he did it he said "oh it'll wash off". They only care about how many people they do so they go fast and don't care how your nails really look. read more

Came in 1/2 hr. before they closed. It was my first time. I asked them if they had time to do just a Mani, nothing fancy. If they said no I would completely understand.....instead they started talking another language to each other and completely ignored me. I sat down for five minutes and asked a tech, am I on the list or should I leave? Again all 4 employees ignored me.. another customer said they would take me. The nail tech did not look me in the eye or say one word to me. When she was done with my service and asked for a change she automatically assumed she was getting a $5 dollar tip off a $15 manicure....in other circumstances I would have no problem with that except they were so rude.... I would rather pay double and go somewhere else...it's not until when I left, one of the employees said goodbye. I have been going to this place for 5yrs. They are always so nice and friendly. About a month ago I had a appt with tom for mani and pedi he always does a good job, but I was so upset weeks later, as I removed the polish from my toenails I had a horrible nail fungus on 2 of my toenails. I have never experienced this before. I had to go to my doctor for a prescription to help clear up the fungus it is now a month later and i am still using medication. I will never go there again. They need to start sterilizing there tools much better and cleaning the foot bath with bleach! read more

I've given this place multiple chances before writing this review. It used to be a great little place maybe 3-4 years ago; but I don't know what ha happened in recent time. On my two recent visits, my mani/pedis were so rough that I left one time with scratches and cuts on my feet, and the other time with cuts on my cuticles. They filed my nails so rough as to start hitting the skin on the top of my toes--and it hurt! When I tried to talk to them in process, they could barely understand me and don't know much English. Even "ouch" and a winced face wasn't enough. The time my feet were scratched, they also missed an essential step in my mani--they didn't do the hand lotion and massage! All who get manis know this is probably one of the best parts. Also who wants to leave a mani appt. with rough dry hands?! Sorry--but I'm finally done with this place and have to ding them here. I have been here before and had a pretty good experience. But today was not pleasant. (The pedicure was great) I also got a shellac manicure and when they were under the lights, it felt super hot and smelled like something was burning. I took my hand out really quick until the pain stopped and told the guy it was hot. It got better eventually but now that I'm home and time has passed, I actually have blisters on my fingertips. I called TD nails to tell them to check their bulbs so no one else got burned like that and the woman I spoke to was more concerned about if my nail was burned. I told her I had blisters on my fingers. She offered for me to come back tomorrow and she'd look at my nails but I'm leaving for vacation (hence why I got my nails done). She then told me to soak my blisters in alcohol and some cold water and I should be fine. I won't be returning unless it is to get my money back. read more
