If you live in Berkley, Royal Oak or HW, this is where you should be getting your nails done. Best french manicure I've had locally in a minute. Eric did a really good job on my French , was very detailed oriented and did exactly what I asked and even added a decorative snowflake on the house. Very lovely staff, clean, competitive prices and organized. 10/10

Under New Management! I went to TD Nails today and had a great experience! The customer service was wonderful & the new owners and staff are so welcoming! They now have a Deluxe upgrade for pedicures (which I opted for) and it was so relaxing! They have all brand new colors and a great variety to choose from. I can't wait to go back soon!

They use plastic liners in the foot bath for hygiene and even offered me a drink while I enjoyed a fantastic pedicure. I showed Helen a nail design I wanted, and she did an amazing job replicating it perfectly. I'll definitely be back for another TAP Gel set and pedicure. Wow, such a phenomenal experience! Definitely will be our new go-to nail salon. Under new ownership, and the manager, Naomi, is so kind and wants to ensure all guests have a great experience. Two of us got pedicures, and it was the best experience we've had in a while. Nails turned out great, massage and service were incredible, everything smelled and looked clean. If you live in Berkley, Royal Oak or HW, this is where you should be getting your nails done. Best french manicure I've had locally in a minute. This nail place has recently gotten new owners and a renovation! If you like Royal Oak Nails but hate worrying about parking, TD Nails may be the place you have been looking for. I hope they add to their regular nail polish colors but other than that I was really happy with my pedicure. The staff were all friendly. read more

I used to go to this place like 20 years ago. I just recently switched back and it is so great. The new manager Naomi is turning this place around!!! New everything! New tables. New colors. New tvs. Everyone here is wonderful (Naomi, Kim, vin, etc). If you tried them in the past and were not happy I strongly recommend checking them out again. It's a totally new place! Pedicure was perfect and so were my gelx nails. My daughters got dip and it was also just perfect. Highly recommend. I would suggest making an appt. I feel like it's going to get busy once the word is out! read more

You know the saying about putting lipstick on a pig? I used to go to TD nails on occasion many years ago until it started to decline. Now they apparently have new owners and while it does look nicer and the people were nice, the quality of the work is still awful. I had one of the worst pedicures I've had in ages. I'm positive that the tools that were used on me were not sanitized, since they came out of a tackle box (not out of a sanitizer station) and then I saw the tech rinse them under water when he was done with me and put them back in the box. He didn't trim my cuticles at all, my nails were left jagged and I had polish all over my skin and cuticles. I also had some weird sticky gel left all over my legs that got all over my car seat. Won't be going back, that's for sure. Bummer. read more

I wish the experience was better but this the third time there and it wasn't. My polish looks terrible, my mom had to wait almost an hour at the pedicure chair. They apologized but why not say can you come back or can you wait?!?! They try to upsell you shellac. Why are we using a drill on cuticles? They are very nice but... Will not be returning and wasting money. read more

Make no mistake, this is a 5 STAR nail salon! Anything less is due to poor reviews under previous ownership. I am picky and I have never walked out disappointed. The shop is completely remodeled and meticulously clean. This is the same family that owned Royal Oak nails. But here I can get a same day appointment and PARKING is a breeze. I had been to TD nails for a pedicure and it was great, so when my daughter wanted her nails done last minute for a dance, I took her there. They were able to get us right in and Bee made my daughter's Pinterest nail dream come true. The owner remembered me from my pedicure, which I appreciated. TD Nails is our new spot. read more

Worst gel manicure I ever had. Went for a gel manicure and my nails were cut down to the point I was bleeding. The lady didn't even care enough to say sorry. She also proceeded to nonchalantl paint my nails which came out horrible. Its laughable how bad she did. read more

Overall my manicure and pedicure will look ok but I will not be coming back due to the multiple cuts on my fingers and toe. Two of my fingers were cut by the cuticle trimmer (one bleeding so much she put a powder on it which was definitely not hygienic as it came from a pot and a brush and she then put the brush back into the pot...), two by the nail buffer, and my tech accidentally stabbed underneath my toenail with the metal cuticle tool. I am praying that I don't get an infection as nothing was disinfected or looked like it had been cleaned. Also praying I don't lose my toenail. read more

requested a polish change which is what I usually get. I understand upselling but once I say no to something it's rude to keep trying to persuade. HORRIBLE. My normal nail shop was closed and I needed my nails and toes done quickly. I initially asked for a pedicure and full set. During the pedicure I said white POLISH, the man kept insisting on Shellac which I'm not a fan of but I gave in because he wouldn't stop... then I said never mind about the full set I just want my nails polished. He says he can do a "dip powder" and it's less money and time. Fine. He starts filing my nails and files right into my finger and I'm like "that hurts" he says "do you say that to your boyfriend" Smh... we finish and my names and toes are barely subpar. We go to the front to checkout and he says $95.00 NINETY-FIVE DOLLARS!!!!!!!!! I ask well how much would the full set have been, he said depends on how long it would have taken WHAAAAAT? Never ever will I be back! Ridiculous! read more

Don't waste your time or money. My nails looked a mess for my formal. My nails were bulky, not shaped correctly, and definitely not what I asked for. I asked for a French Tip with pink tips. I was so upset that not only did they rush to do my nails but didn't give me what I asked for but made me feel bad when I spoke up and told them I don't like them. I spent more money the next day trying getting them repaired. Is it worth it? If you believe they are by all means go but definitely go at your own risk. read more

When I pointed it out, the staff did nothing to try to fix the issue or make it right. Instead, they dismissed my concern and said the sample was done six years ago, as if that somehow explained the mismatch. If the samples are outdated or inaccurate, they should be updated so customers know what to expect. I left with a color I didn't want and felt like my concern wasn't taken seriously. Very frustrating experience. I will not be coming back.

I am grateful they were responsive and willing to talk and even reconsider some parts of their policy. I am updating my review to reflect this update. 12/12/2025 I used to be a regular at this nail shop and this review does not reflect the nail techs, they are always nice. Unfortunately their lack of flexibility with their cancellation policy, particularly for long standing customers that have had multiple appointments is frustrating. I had to cancel my appointment same day due to an emergency and was immediately directed to the policy and given a cold shoulder when asked about rescheduling. After sending them a follow up message via their very active social media asking if there is anything they can do, my message was read and ignored and I was charged the full fee for my appointment despite their policy noting you COULD BE charged the full amount. You would think there would be a willingness to have a conversation or a professional courtesy to at least respond to a message you read. Given my numerous appointments (at least once every 1-2 months for the last two, maybe three years) and an obvious willingness to reschedule, a conversation could be had. I have referred friends and family here and it is unfortunate that the long standing relationship has to end because of their lack of warmth with customers. I get it, missing an appointment causes missed funds for the techs but if its a first offense or a long standing customer, you should value maintaining that relationship and business over a one time offense.

I don't get it. I've been going to TD Nails literally for years and have never once experienced anything remotely similar to the last several revues. Granted, I'm a guy and don't have to concerned with eyebrow waxing or nail polish changes or color, but the staff and Jo, the owner) have always been attentive and pleasant. I've always had an extremely pleasant experience, very relaxing and completely professional and competent. The shop is always clean and tidy. The decor has been upgraded several times and is up to date. It generally takes about an hour and a half for a mani-pedi and I don't feel that the $39 charge (without tip) is at all excessive, especially considering their fixed cost of operation. I used to live in the neighborhood, but now travel a considerable distance to come here, and I do it happily. I would, and have, recommended TD Nails, without qualification. read more

The new owner (Naomi) has been my nail girl for years! She came from a very busy, local salon to open her own. She does such a wonderful job! She is a great, honest person! She would do anything to make her clients happy! I prefer very short nails, with shellac/gel and she delivers. Both manicure and pedicure last weeks! She has remodeled the previous building and everything is new and clean! Parking is easy (and free) in the front (along Woodward) or the back. Color selection is amazing! Love the pedicure chairs.
