We got the Shuckers Dozen and the Smoked Oysters Dip. I loved everything! The dipped was so so yummy and the potato chips really complimented this dip. For the oysters, as an oyster lover, I thoroughly enjoyed getting to taste all of their different oysters. My favorite were the tiny little Olympia and Kumomato (i don't remember the name too well). They were so good that I had to order more of each but unfortunately they ran out of olympia already and it was only like 3pm :,) This location is super close to the Space Needle and one of the most beautiful walk we took the entire trip. Came here on a Saturday lunch and it was fairly empty. We weren't helped right away which threw me off because there was maybe about 4 tables. The interior is clean and bright with wide windows everywhere. The places allows for a lot of natural lighting. It is pretty staple prices for oysters $4 each but, since we're only visiting, so we wanted to give this place a shot. We were a party of 2 and they already had a service charge of 18.9% which I though was odd. Ordered the shakers dozen and high tea with the Queen cocktail. Oysters were excellent and very delicious. The shuckers dozen provided 2 of each oysters they have. I would recommend getting Tabasco on the side for the oysters. The high tea with the Queen cocktail didn't taste like earl grey tea infused gin but it was delicious none the less. Truly lived up to the hype!!! We loved happy hour @ Taylor with their wonderful crew and the great oysters. We ended up getting 24 oysters and probably could've eaten many more. The person shucking the oysters was highly efficient (3 seconds, we timed him lol) which was so fun to watch. The Bloody Mary was WONDERFUL with fresh horseradish and lots of snacks. Our group came here for a quick snack and wanted to try out some fresh oysters and we ordered the sampler that came with four different types of oysters, but only one of them were really good and the other oysters tasted mediocre. Dynamite clams were small and tasty but nothing to write home to. Their Caesar salad was tasty and fresh and their side of shrimp was plump and delicious. Service was good but I'm sure there are other seafood restaurants around time that offer more variety. The restaurant itself is cute and bright but not that much seating for large parties. After visiting the Space Needle we started looking for something to eat within walking distance. I checked Yelp and found Taylor was close and had geoduck, something we have only seen on TV. When we arrived, we were greeted by a friendly staff and a cool atmosphere. I ordered the geoduck crudo with a jalapeño infused cider while my wife ordered the mussels. Everything was fantastic. The crudo was surprisingly crunchy, sweet, ultra fresh and salty from the ocean. It paired extremely well with the cider which really brought the heat. My wife's mussels were the best she's ever had and that is saying a lot because this woman has tried them in dozens of States and a few countries. We highly recommend going here. I visited alone and ordered a half dozen oysters which were admittedly excellent. However, the service left much to be desired. The tall, slim waitress who served me maintained a sour expression throughout my visit, never once offering a smile or pleasant interaction. What bothered me most was how she hovered nearby and approached my table the instant I finished my last oyster, pressuring me to order more. The experience felt rushed and unwelcoming. To add insult to injury, I discovered an 18% mandatory service charge on my bill! When my out of town friend visits and wants seafood, I tell her we go to Taylor Shellfish. This is real authentic fresh PNW seafood - the best fresh oysters, best crab, etc. It's pricey for sure but seafood is expensive. This spot is tight but the wait wasn't that bad for a weekend night. You can join the waitlist and they will text you too but we didn't have to wait too long. It's cozy in there but it's a good atmosphere and also their cocktails were decent too. We probably spent twice as long as other people for lunch but we also ate probably twice as much as other people.. The jumbo clams were great, but I wish it was less sauceyy. Reminds me of the top of the "baked lion king roll" at most sushi restaurants. -Dungeness crab: This was my absolute favorite! The house sauce for the crab was c r a c k. They use crab fat, seasonings and butter for that delicious concoction. The menu doesn't have as many cooked dishes and entrees as other oyster restaurants, because it's all about the seafood, and for what you get, it's a really good value. Overall, good experience and I will come back again. Recommend to call in advance, particularly if coming before a concert at nearby Climate Pledge Arena. Sevice was friendly and fast. These were the first oysters we had on our trip, and they were the most memorabl.! While they offer a variety of oysters, we loved the fat bastard oysters so much! They weren't too small, yet creamy & sweet! We also tried their geoduck sashimi which was very thinly sliced, & crunchy-ish. One super fun item we ordered was alcoholic oyster shots! They have a choice of alcohol you can put inside, we were told that vodka is the most popular add-in. You gotta try it! It was delicious! Between that & many glasses of wine on happy hour.. let's say our next dinner was a ruckus ;p Anyways, our server Josh was super friendly & personable! I love coming here and always get the Dungeness crab. They crack the whole thing open for you and mix the insides with the most decadent, sweet, salty, and creamy mixture to dip the meat in.
