He kept walking back and forth (pacing) and each time he'll stop & grab his water bottle from the cabinet, took a swig, then place it back in the cabinet. This he did quite often. He didn't check to see how we were doing. Paid our bill which included an 18% fee. Blah...as we left the guy behind the bar said Thank you & have a nice day! He was the ONLY nice person. This is real authentic fresh PNW seafood - the best fresh oysters, best crab, etc. It's pricey for sure but seafood is expensive. This spot is tight but the wait wasn't that bad for a weekend night. Oysters are fresh. This is our first time here, and the one-star is for the service we received. We didn't catch the name of the server, but on our check it shows someone name Mary. She appears unfriendly and unwelcoming since the moment we walked in. Then, her attitude progressively worsen. The menu doesn't have as many cooked dishes and entrees as other oyster restaurants, because it's all about the seafood, and for what you get, it's a really good value. They mentioned on game days happy hour is not offered. Also, no reservations! We walked in around 4pm on a Friday (I think) and we were seated just fine. These were the first oysters we had on our trip, and they were the most memorabl.! While they offer a variety of oysters, we loved the fat bastard oysters so much! They weren't too small, yet creamy & sweet! We also tried their geoduck sashimi which was very thinly sliced, & crunchy-ish. One super fun item we ordered was alcoholic oyster shots! They have a choice of alcohol you can put inside, we were told that vodka is the most popular add-in. You gotta try it! It was delicious! Between that & many glasses of wine on happy hour.. let's say our next dinner was a ruckus ;p Anyways, our server Josh was super friendly & personable! This location is cute small oyster bar, the one on Samish bay is located along the shore of the bay, both remind me very much of my favorite Tomales bay oyster place.., both are great for fresh oysters, seafood, and service. I finished off the seafood feast with the North West geoduck chowder ( pronounced gooey duck for those of us new to the area) OMG! So tasty and yummy! My opinion, as good as any clam chowder I've had in SF or Monterey, flavorful, a little kick, and the Geoduck adds it's on unique bivalve flavor... ya gotta try it, especially if you're a clam chowder aficionado, great on a PNW winter evening. Good selection of beer, wine, and cocktails. The oyster shot can be either vodka or tequila, I had not had it with tequila before, definitely worth trying, another unique taste. So I was scouring the web on the hunt for the best oysters and seafood in general in Seattle and I want to note be prepared to spend $$$ if you're not going during happy hour and we got the Shucker's Dozen, Peel and Easy Prawns (Cocktail Shrimp), and the Smoked Oyster Dip. I would pass on the Cocktail Shrimp, it was underwhelming (they gave you about 4 pieces and it was okay not super fresh) and the Smoked Oyster Dip was pricy for what was served (it was okay). This was a good option to try some different types of oysters. Wouldn't highly recommend the geoduck, it was our first time trying it and was very chewy. (No fault of the restaurant, we just didn't enjoy it) Music was pretty loud rock which wasn't our favorite, but we were the only people really there.
