Well, I can't believe I haven't written a review yet - but better late than never! My dog, Jet, has been coming to Bark & Zoom for 7 years, practically since they opened, and we couldn't be happier. There are so many positives to highlight. First, I really appreciate the rotating play and rest schedule that Taurus/Bark & Zoom uses, which differs from other facilities in the area. It's been a fantastic fit for Jet, especially when he was younger and would be tired but had a bit of FOMO when other dogs were playing and wouldn't know when to rest. At other facilities without this structure, he'd end up overtired and overstimulated from hours of endless play with 25 other dogs and poor trainer/dog ratios leaving minimal staff supervision. Bark & Zoom's approach (focus on temperament and smaller groups) has been a much better fit and Jet has thrived in this environment comparatively. The staff here has always been wonderful and so loving toward Jet as well. Years ago, there was a team gathering at Yardbar where Jet ran right up to the staff, thrilled to see them, and they immediately recognized and showered him with affection. Interactions like this validate the level of positive care he receives across several services including board-and-train, daycare, or boarding. Aside from great care, the convenience of their 24-hour model right by the airport is seriously unbeatable. As someone in the aviation industry, the flexibility to drop off and pick up at unconventional hours has been a lifesaver. I'm so grateful to Bark & Zoom for accommodating my unpredictable schedule time and time again throughout all of these years. This past year has been challenging as Jet battles lymphoma. He's experienced multiple remissions and relapses, and as he slows down and needs more care, the staff has been wonderfully supportive, bringing comfort to me on days when I can't be with him. There are SO many wonderful people here, but I'd like to give a special shoutout to Jess and Mackenzie. They've known Jet since before their well-deserved promotions and have always treated him like family. I appreciate y'all (and everyone) so much! read more

I can't say enough wonderful things about Bark&Zoom! They are essentially my second family and the only folks I want taking care of my 3 pups while I'm traveling... which admittedly is a lot! The staff is incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and just overall attuned to all the things that come with managing an incredibly busy boarding/training facility. Anything my pups need, they get! And if there is ever a question about something, they are always prompt to call or text me to dicuss. I simply can't express my gratitude and love for this group of people; I life would spin off its axis without them! Rex is the manager for this location and though he followed up with the issues that I had he ended up turning my issues around to being my problem. Which blew me away that he would not take ownership for his team and their lack of follow through. 1) they charge you $5 a day for photos and updates of your puppies (they are not consistent) 2) when you check in, they do not have any of the information that you entered into the system to make the check in seamless, they ask for you to answer everything again (this takes like 10-20 mins) 3) they staff has horrible attitudes and question you over everything even when it is their fault (ie they believed they left medication for another dog in our bag, my husband and I both checked the bay, then they sent out two other people to check it and then another person 4) my 10 year old dog came back with missing hair on his hip due to stress and no one from the facility cared to mention or let me know even though I told them that he had a wound on that side and it needed to be monitored 5) Rex got upset with me for not wearing a mask when I was finally allowed into the facility even though 4 of his staff members were all there and never told me too (I am triple vaxed) he also got upset that we didn't wear mask when we were standing outside though no postage of requirements for wearing a mask outside is posted 6) they waste food, I asked for them to not waste the food the puppies to eat and to only add water to the food as a last result, I was told at the end that they always add water and they went through a full week of food in 3 days (though they texted me that they didn't eat). My husband and I had to board our cat for a few days while we were having our house staged and put on the market over the weekend. We had toured the facility prior to boarding her here. Overall the staff was extremely friendly and answered all my questions. My cat seemed to have tolerated the stay. There is cat boarding and dog boarding. You can also keep your car here since the airport is right across the street. There are different price packages depending on what you want from the visit for your pet and car. read more

I'll post my email I wrote to Bark & Zoom here in hopes that someone will actually reach out to me since no one has. This place doesn't actually seem to care about your pets or your experience anyway so I won't hold my breath, but this was my most recent experience: "I am writing to express my concern for an incident that occurred with my dog, Lila, on Tuesday, April 27th at your facility. I was informed when I picked her up at around 7pm that she had been injured during her stay with your facility. The daycare attendant told me that they heard Lila yelp, looked over and they think another dog stepped on her. That itself concerned me that my dog was not being watched during play time if they didn't know for sure what happened. Secondly, I asked if they thought I should bring her to my veterinarian to be examined. I was told "No, she'll be fine." It is my understanding that a daycare attendant should not be giving out any medical advice. I am wondering what your policy is regarding that. Thirdly, I called when I returned home to inquire when the incident occurred. I was told it happened around 3-3:30pm that day. I was not called or notified that this happened until I picked Lila up at 7pm. I can only assume that means my dog was left limping for four hours without me being notified. What is your protocol for when incidents like this occur? Is it normal to not be notified at the time of the incident? I took Lila to my veterinarian anyway out of concern and was told it could be a soft tissue injury or it could possibly be a partial cruciate tear. She is now on strict crate rest for 2-3 weeks and is on multiple medications. If it does turn out to be a partial cruciate tear and she requires surgery after her crate rest has ended that cost would be around $3,500 - $5,000. If I had not brought her in to be examined as your daycare attendant said, and I had let her continue at her normal exercise level, this possible partial cruciate tear could have become a full tear resulting in said surgery and months of activity restriction. I hope you understand where my concern is on how this situation was handled. I would like an explanation on how this occurred, your protocols in place for handling such incidents, and how you plan on handling them in the future as I think whatever protocols you do have in place need to be reviewed." I have not received a response which is honestly infuriating. No one seems to care that my dog is now in pain and constantly crying in her kennel because of their negligence. read more

the absolute WORST place i have ever sent my dog to. i wouldn't even recommend this to a person i hated. The website makes it seem like your dog is going to have the best time ever when it is in fact the opposite. everytime i looked at the camera my dog is in the room, the place is 24hours and he is maybe taken out twice a day so it's not only a waste of money but they don't care about letting your dog play with others and enjoy him time there. it literally looks like he's just in a jail cell. when it came to feeding time they picked up the bowl with a stick like if he's a vicious animal !!! they say dogs are taken out for 20 minutes at a time but i watch the camera and he is brought back within 10 minutes it's ridiculous. Also when it is time to sleep he is in a pitch black room, not even a light in the hallway is turned on or anything it's just ridiculous i would never ever recommend this place and you would never catch me back there. when i picked up my dog he was CRYING the whole rest of the night like if he was scared i'd leave him again! read more

My experience with Bark&Zoom can be described as nothing short of PHENOMENAL. Not only is the facility itself immaculate, very cleaning, a large yard, and even a swimming pool for the dogs; but the humans working here are exceptionally friendly, kind, and empathetic. There are many activities you can add on to your fur baby's stay, and they send you pictures and videos throughout. I haven't even mentioned the amazing parking feature, yet! You literally pull right up, drop off your pet, kiss them goodbye, and are shuttled straight to your gate! No waiting, no parking hassle, no lugging baggage around. When you return, they are waiting for you right at the gate, shuttle you back, and your vehicle is already pulled up and ready to go. I also have to mention how grateful I am to this location to agree to board my dog for three nights with last minute notice. My father passed away suddenly from a heart attack, and I had to leave town urgently. I called them up hysterical as our usual boarding facility was full due to Spring Break. Even though they were full, they found a way to work us in so I knew that my special boy would be in good hands while I was away. I will never forget that kindness. Bark and Zoom literally saved my dogs life. I am a long time client of Bark and Zoom. I dropped my dog Eli off on Friday for an overnight weekend outing, like he likes to do at times. I got a call from McKenzie saying that they think Eli has bloat and they are taking him to an emergency hospital. Luckily I work at said emergency hospital and immediately met them up there. Upon arrival, the x-rays came back positive for GDV, aka boat. If you don't know what bloat is, it is a life threatening emergency and if surgery is not performed within hours, the only outcome is death. After the x-rays came back positive, he had a successful surgery and is currently recovering very well a week later. I can't say thank you enough. I don't think a lot of people would have caught what they did. They are live savers. Jess came up to the hospital when she heard the news and also followed up the next day. 100/100 would recommend. They cancelled my reservation, after it was paid in full. They stated they did not receive a deposit... because it was paid in full. My dog loves going here but I found the customer service lacking and they've really put me in a bind on Thanksgiving week, as I will not be able to find alternative boarding. Hopefully, nothing goes wrong with our Christmas boarding but afterward I may be looking elsewhere for peace of mind that reservation will be handle with care. read more

My dog was boarded here for several days, twice. My first pickup was met with an employee who said my dog had a great stay and was "up to his old self" the whole time. That was moments before a computer error occurred, prompting her to question if I had ever brought my dog there in the first place, as he was not apparently registered in the system. After later sorting this out, and confirming that he WAS physically located at the facility (and not running loose somewhere around the airport), I smelled his coat and could tell he had not been bathed per my request - a $20 fee. They said he'd be bathed next time for free. My dog puked upon leaving. Another time my dog was boarded here, the airport pickup driver was unnecessarily sassy because she thought I was "confused as to where [I] was going." This was due to the similarity between "Bark and Zoom" and "Park and Zoom," a difference that I could certainly detect. I learned from her that the drivers split their time between the two enterprises, which is why they are skeptical of customers' not knowing which van is which. Logic was completely awash here, furthermore proving how negligent and farmed out this business feels about hiring, accountability and customer service. My dog wasn't bathed this time either. He puked again upon exiting. I've stopped taking my dog here. At $50+ a night, $20+ a walk, I'd expect the employees to at least try to seem like they care about doing anything. I really try to think positively of Taurus but this business seems to be a complete failure of an endeavor. read more

This is a great example of over-promising and under-delivering. I was nervous to leave my dog while away for a long weekend, but Bark & Zoom promised to send pictures if I asked for them and provide lots of updates. They failed miserably on ensuring my satisfaction and comfort with ever using this service again. Both times I called to check in on my dog, they said they would have to call me back. Hours later, someone would call me back and say "notes say she ate today. All is good." They couldn't tell me how many times, if any, she played in the yard. They lost the toy we brought in as well. Not only that, but they missed a feeding!!! We had an extra bag of food when we picked her up! Critical failure! After all of that, Bark & Zoom forgot to get my husband and I from the airport citing our reservation must have been "misfiled." Even after keeping us waiting, they still made us pay for the full parking charge, up to the minute! They said they "didn't know we were coming back" even after leaving flight information and paying in advance for boarding. That's scary. On the positive side, they did a great job with my dog's bath and shedding treatment. She was very fluffy and well groomed. Overall, the lack of attention to detail and ability to follow through on promises mean we will not be customers again. read more

This place is great. We have been taking our dog, Mali, there for over a year now. Pros- Great staff. Everyone is super nice. They have all the normal pet care stuff like walking and nail clipping. Love that we can leave our car there while traveling. We have even had it washed. The shuttle to the airport is quick and easy. Gaby, one of the drivers, saved us one time when my wife forgot her ID at home. She radioed into the valet to pull our car back around, she helped me with our baby and the luggage while my wife raced home, then shuttled her to the airport so we could check in and make our flight. Thanks for turning a stressful situation into a smooth one, Gaby! Cons - this is a little picky but the check in and checkout experience could be a little faster. Nothing that would stop me from going there, but if you're in a rush to get to the airport or exhausted from traveling, the less waiting the better. read more

Just picked up my pooch from her first visit at bark and zoom. It was only three nights and of course I was worried. From the initial call to make sure my dog had all the current vaccinations to the evaluation day to the actual stay the customer service was stellar. These people love their jobs and love dogs. I think it was a bit of expensive as I moved here from a much smaller city but I must say completely worth it and I'll do it again. Thank you all at Taurus for making me feel comfortable when I had to run home for a family emergency. Stopped by today with our dogs to check it out. Great facility. But here is the thing. If your dog is over 10 years old they will not be accepted for boarding, no matter how well behaved. We are astonished - especially since I checked the website and it says nothing to that affect. So, if you have older dogs this is not for you. Unfortunately we had a horrible experience last time we left both our 100lb boxers. One of our dogs was due to have surgery and so needed special care, which we paid for. However some of her MEDICATION was given to a different dog. We were also given the carefully portioned food I had provide back so our dogs didn't get their food and I was given someone else's tiny kibble back too. I paid for them both to be washed but both smelled disgusting when I had them in the car, I had to wash them again. I was told that my dog would have family (her and her brother) playtime but she ended up going out on her own. (They refunded me for this). We were also called while we were away to be told that she had a UTI that my vet found no evidence of when she had her surgery the next day, so I can only assume they mixed her up with the dog they gave my dogs medication to. I hope it wasn't the dog with the tiny kibble they gave me back as our meds were for a very large dog. I wasn't asked what medication it was they'd administered to the other dog, so they would not have been able to tell her owner what they'd given her. So all in all this is not a place I can recommend anymore as they didn't give our dogs the care we thought they would, especially given the stay is so expensive. My dogs for sure lost weight during the stay too. I was fuming when I picked them up. The manager was lackluster at best and just put his hands up and said well what is it you want. My answer was that I wanted my dogs to get the care I'd paid for, her pain meds and the food I'd provided! read more

Excellent place for my dogs. Great concept: drop dogs and car then shuttle to ABIA. Return is just as simple. We've been customers for at least four years. Lots of options for add-ons. One dog gets snuggle time and the other gets enrichment puzzles. They also get baths. The play yard is included and entirely closed in and safe. Excellent staff on boarding side. Mackenzie is always so helpful. We boarded over the weekend and had the pleasure of meeting our shuttle driver CJ who provided amazing service. Really top notch. Thank you. read more

I wanted to be able to give a 5 star rating for Bark & Zoom but I cannot. I have many positive comments but the negative ones I list were very important to me and are the reason for my lower rating. I applied online for an interview at B&Z with my dog. I do not kennel often so I was prepared for the higher cost in boarding. I dropped him off at 9:30 AM and returned for their assessment at 2:30 PM. This cost me $35.00, the fee for daycare. The report was excellent and I booked his future stay that day. I booked the most expensive suite with a camera. He's a large dog so I wanted him to have his own bed and a lot of space. Plus I wanted to watch him on the camera while he was there. I also scheduled pool time for him to help make his stay more enjoyable. He was only there for 1 night. I used the parking facility which made everything very convenient. Drop off was easy. It was early, 5:30 AM, and I was greeted by a friendly, fast and efficient employee. I gave them his bed and individually packed meals. They took notes regarding his food and meds and scheduled a pool time ($25.00 extra) for that day, told me they take him out about 5 times a day and led him to his suite. I left my car with the parking attendant and was shuttles to the airport. I was thrilled with the convenience of parking and the ability to confidently leave my dog at the same location. I watched my dog via the camera throughout the day. He was seldom out of his room and I did not see them take him out 5 times like I was told. I also could not tell he had been taken for any play time or swim time in the pool. I returned from my overnight. The parking shuttle was at the airport waiting for me and returned me to the facility. At checkout I was told they did not take him to the pool that they had scheduled it for the wrong day. They did not charge me for that mistake HOWEVER they did charge me for a full day of daycare which had not been discussed prior to my booking. My flight returned at 12:10 PM and I was brought straight to the facility. When I questioned the charge they said they charged when it switched from AM to PM. which was 20 minutes. I had NOT been made aware that there would be an additional charge when the clock turned 12:00 PM. So for 1 night in a suite with no playtime or pool time and an additional charge for a full day of daycare I paid $130.00. Oh and of course they asked for a tip. My advice....This is a clean facility with a lot of options. MAKE SURE you have been made aware of ALL the charges and that your pet gets the play time they say they provide or that you sign up for. I truly don't understand how anyone could give this place a positive rating unless you don't give a s**t about your animals or simply choose to overlook what happens here. For starters, everyone should know that the info this place posts on their website and shares with customers during "evaluations" is a COMPLETE LIE. You'll be told that your dog will have lots of playtime and activity during the day, options for enrichment activities, 24 hour staff and attentiveness to their needs (potty breaks, food/water, etc). What actually happens is that your dog(s) are put into a concrete room (or much much worse if you don't book one of the "luxury" suite options) without water, shut in with no interaction with dogs or humans for hours and hours (I watched my dogs sit one long afternoon and all night with maybe one 5-minute break) and a staff that 90% of the time doesn't pick up the phone when you call. The reality is that your dogs are out for maybe an hour of the 24-hour day with the rest of the time being in a small solitary confinement cell. I wouldn't wish this experience on my WORST ENEMY and I truly feel that bringing an animal here is cruel and unusual punishment - DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMALS HERE IF YOU WANT ACCEPTABLE CARE. It is truly SCARY what they do to your beloved pet. My dogs were absolutely traumatized ... one of them barfed in my car on the way out, he was so stressed and sickened by the treatment he received. I originally was supposed to be gone for 3 days but when I saw how my dogs were being treated I had to spend $1000 to get back to Austin immediately to rescue my babies. In the ~18 hours I was gone I noticed a dramatic difference in them that took many hours to recover from upon bringing them home, including physical sickness. Again - NEVER TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE IF YOU LOVE THEM. They also had the gall to CHARGE ME for this experience. I will NEVER bring my dogs to this or any other Taurus facility. Bark & Zoom made boarding our pet and boarding our plane super easy. We dropped our dog off at 4am, they had us on the shuttle and at the airport by 4:15. When we landed, there was no wait time for the shuttle back to the facility, where our car was already waiting for us, engine running. Our pup seemed to really enjoyed the place, too! My favorite thing about the place is that they're 24/7, so no awkward designated pick-up or drop-off times necessary. read more

I wanted to like this facility but was left sorely disappointed...and this was my first time. I wasn't able to get a "bark and zoom"shuttle when I arrived at the airport so I had to do a "park and zoom" one, which meant I got a lovely tour of those facilities before I was taken to pick up my dog. There was confusion as to why I was even on the shuttle and after a 5+ airport delay it wasn't the most welcome experience. Only one person was working at night for everyone that was showing up. My dog is a senior pup, and apparently had some accidents when staying there...which is never a problem at home, and I was only told the day I picked her up. She was hoarse from barking so much, and given a bath the day before I picked her up which means...she wasn't bathed the day I picked her up, which defeated the purpose. I think for the price I paid I can have someone give her much more individualized attention and not leave her sitting in her own accidents. read more

This new establishment is a great deal - convenient and fairly price. I boarded my cat and parked my car for one week at Bark&Zoom. When my cat had a minor issue, they called me to let me know. (He was fine but I appreciated the update.) The boarding staff seemed to truly care about my cat and I felt comfortable leaving him there. As for the car parking - wow! It's valet service but not at a ridiculous price. Plus at pick up time, they were already waiting to pick me up as they monitored my flight and headed out to get me without any requirement that I call to let them know I was waiting. We recently used this facility to board our cats when we went out of town for a week. Our experience was mixed. Prices were very reasonable, the drop off and pick up process went well. However, they had promised frequent contact with us as to how our kitties were, and this didn't happen. We called several times, and were either put on long holds, or the phone was 'accidentally ' hung up. When we actually did talk to someone looking after the cats, supposedly, they couldn't answer even basic questions like " are they eating?". We supplied the food we wanted them fed and they returned two full size zippies of dry food - we had provided 3. So what the heck did they eat???? read more

We have been bringing our dog, Sullivan, here since day one. The staff has always been very attentive and responsive to anything we need. We now also take our 2nd dog Penelope. The facilities are very clean up in the front, we have done two tours and the back is always very clean as well. We have grooming services done, no complaints here either. I've read some of the other reviews here that are negative and can honestly say that these reviewers are either extremely sensitive or plain unreasonable. We've had to wait maybe max 5 minutes for a shuttle, etc. Anthony and the rest of the team with the shuttle service are always great as well. Only feedback I can give is implementing a loyalty program or something. We've spent thousands there now, it does add up. We also travel at least once a month though. Bark & Zoom is great, we will continue to use their service. read more

We like taking our dog here when we leave town. The staff is very friendly and the facility is well secured and kept very clean considering that it's a kennel. I like that there is staff there 24 hours a day, as I was recently surprised to learn that some boarding facilities don't have staff on site late at night and in the early hours of the morning. I also really, really like that you can leave your car here for only $9.99 a day and they park it for you and drop you off and pick you up curbside at the airport. When I filled out the application the first time we left our dog here, I felt like I was filling out an application to adopt a pet, it was so long and detailed. But that's fine with me because I want to leave my pet at a facility that wants to know a lot about me and my pet. read more

Becca was so great at pick up and even showed me a video she had taken of my kiddo playing in their awesome cat play rooms. They were also great with getting down feeding instructions or seeing if I needed anything else extra done for my cat. I was not worried at all about her while I was gone. Contrary to previous food review I gave earlier this year, I am truly disappointed about this facility. We have an upcoming trip out of town and when we tried to make a reservation again for our pets ( Miniature Schnauzer and Yorky Terrier) we were told our dogs are no longer welcome. They told us they were "Geriatric" although one is 8 and the other is 9 years old. We have spoken with a manager and were told that the initial evaluation was a mistake. Our dogs behave well and one of them has a need for Insulin with meals but otherwise both are in good health. We understand liabilities but now are truly disappointed since the web site does not disclose anything about this and the "evaluation" was done already. This type of service is unacceptable and seems to us that this corporate type of thinking does not allow for proper care for your pet Post review; To Crystal, Contrary to your comments, you never offer any solutions. For this type of facility, having competent staff is a must. You don't have to be a licensed technician to administer insulin. So it seems more of an inconvenience to this facility to adhere to proper care for all pets boarding. My wife called the facility six times without anyone answering. With the 7th phone call, a person in charge of valet services said; no one is answering the phone. They're just walking around. I have read more than half a dozen "negative" reviews from pet owners that address other concerns. Some as recent as three months ago. And for the sake of clarity, your position is managerial. The actual owners of this facility are not hearing truths from the customers that have given them business. You are keeping these matters (all) in house. And again, no disclosures seem to exist on the website. The misfortune exists and the TRUTHS will be revealed. read more

I won't be bringing my dogs here again. We had a Thanksgiving trip 4 nights long and our boarding place of choice was booked. Bark and Zoom had us pay a full day fee for both dogs for the mandatory test day where they were only there for 4 hours. They also charged 20 dollars more per day per dog for camera access. In comparison, camp bow wow gave us a full free test day, free camera access, and a first day packet about how well the dogs did and adorable first day pictures. It felt like Bark and Zoom tried to squeeze every penny out of us and it was already more expensive at its base price than our other place. Then, they asked us to verbally fill out their "questionnaire" which included the awkward task of approving or denying (to someone's face) a myriad of up-charges like taking baths, going on walks (20 dollar walks per dog per day), and grooming. Then, they made us do the same questionnaire again because "people change their answers." Sounds like a lot of pocket jingling and guilt tripping to me. On top of that, we had to ask them multiple times, in person and on the phone, if our dogs could sleep together. More space for them! And they weren't very cooperative. I got a vague maybe at first and I had to call back later to get a solid answer. When we came back from our vacation and picked up the dogs, it was convenient since we were near the airport. However, since our flight landed at 12:20pm, they made us pay another full day fee for both dogs since they stayed after 12 pm. Absurd. IMPORTANT: Worst of all, my dogs were not in good condition. They were chewed alive from head to toe. Both dogs legs were visibly cut up in a lot of places. Also, we soon discovered they had fleas! Just save yourself the trouble & pick a different place. I'm sure the location is convenient but the price is steep in comparison to other better places where your pups won't come home with fleas and injuries. read more

We were extremely impressed when we first visited for the mandatory evaluation day ($35. for day care), however, we won't board our dog there again. We dropped our 11 year old dog for 4 nights of boarding while we traveled to WV for my mother's 80th birthday. We did utilize the web cam feature, but while the kennel rooms (we used a Luxury suite) are very clean, I didn't like watching her staring at the door - only view in the otherwise complete cement walls and floor. I also didn't realize that when we picked her up on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. - after $280 for a 4 night stay, we also had to pay an additional $35 for day care for that day. She also came home with a sore on her lip and limping from her arthritis more than usual. Staff was nice, but I think they need to get established and re-evaluate the business practices before we use them again. read more

I really can't thank the staff at bark n zoom enough for loving on my fur baby London. Mackenzie and the team are very helpful with making sure my anxious dog feels at home when he's there. They even found him buddies to help Chill him out when he's in the kennel. I can go on vacation and not worry about him when I'm gone. Best part is, there's someone there 24/7 so no matter when I come home, I get to scoop him up on the way! read more

Cat service is great! My senior boy needs some special attention. Wet food. Thyroid pill. Had dental surgery and got some teeth pulled a few months prior too his stay. I've had trouble finding reliable in home, cat experienced pet sitters in my area. Austin is the nearest place that even offered cat boarding in a facility. The best option for him was to go somewhere he can be monitored all the time reliably. I booked him here while we had to fly out of state for a few days. First, absolutely love they are open 24-7. It's true. I dropped him off around 3am and picked up around 12am. So so convenient for flights and no extra stays or missing my cat. No extra driving around rushing before a trip to drop off the night before a flight. I can literally drop him off before going through security and pick him up within minutes of leaving the airport same day. They called me with updates on him. I called them, and they answered and provided updates right away. They did their absolute best to care for him. Unfortunately my boy was a bit scared and wouldn't eat but that's typical for cats especially older ones. It was a quick trip away for us. But bark and zoom went above and beyond to make sure he was okay. The ladies and a man were knowledgeable and cat experienced!!! Even though their website is tailored to dogs, don't let that deter you. The staff has experience with cats. Not just basic experience but actual, true knowledge of cat behavior. I will continue to use bark and zoom and hopefully my cat will come around after some time. read more

Clean, modern facility with easy access to airport. Parking and boarding are charged separately, which I was not told during my evaluation day or drop off. Can't seem to find it on the Bark and Zoom website either, so just be aware you will make two separate payments for services if you choose to park there. Our pick up and drop off were seamless and the shuttle service to the airport was outstanding. However, upon picking my dog up, her voice was very hoarse and she had multiple cuts on her lips which no one could provide any information on, and no staff had noticed during her stay. Upon notifying customer service, they were able to tell me that she was very "vocal" so they tried to calm her by giving hew chewies, and hypothesized that her wounds were self inflicted. Even so, it's very disheartened that we would not be notified of these issues at pick up, or be given some type of report on our dog's stay. They did provide a small account credit, a gesture which I do appreciate. With that being said, I think there are other alternatives for pet boarding that provide more tailored care for you pets at a fairer price. Had Bark and Zoom lived up to our expectations, I would have no problem paying their price for comfort and convenience. Unfortunately for our family, the convenience of Bark and Zoom is not enough to compensate for the lack of care our dog received there. We will most likely be returning to our former doggie hotel, which provides a higher level of care for a lower price. I write this review not out of spite, just in order to share our story and better help families in the future have a more positive experience than ours. read more

My pup has been going to Taurus at McNeil since he was born almost 4 years ago. About 6 months ago we moved to south Austin to be closer to work. Because Taurus has been so amazing I have continued to drive from south Austin to 183/McNeil twice a week since moving. Once I found out Taurus was building this facility I was very excited. A close and convenient Taurus location?!? I waited and waited. FINALLY, on Saturday I went to the grand opening. And was pleasantly blown away by what an amazing facility they have built. And I travel for work so being able to have my pup go to a place he is familiar with, where I can drop him, my car and myself off all at the same time is a HUGE plus. Taurus McNeil has been amazing for the past three years so if you live north you'll love them. But, if you live south like we do now, this new location is such a blessing. And my pup already knows two of the staff members that have been at McNeil in his time there and are now at Bark & Zoom. I do have a few concerns that only time will tell. 1) How will the dogs being dropped off for traveler stays be screened? Taurus makes your dog come in for a play day evaluation normally. This one thing that Taurus does very well. They make sure everyone gets along. For a dog that plays hard and usually leaves the park with some scratches from running through the woods or swimming too close to a rock he has never been picked up with any kind of issues or injuries or been in fights thanks to their careful screening and watchful staff. I'm sure most travelers won't have time for that evaluation before jumping on a plane somewhere. So will none daycare pups be in separate play groups? 2) From the pricing schedule it looks like play time in the AWESOME guitar shaped wading pool is extra. As a member on a play contract will my pup get any pool time or will I have to pay extra for him. He could swim all day so I hate thinking he would be kept from splashing around in some pool time fun. And 3) Taurus has been so great on their own. Will they stay just as fantastic with Park & Zoom as a partner? I sure hope so. They are local, home grown greatness. I would be sad to see their personality, values or love for their animal customers change in anyway. But I digress, overall the facility is amazing and I'm expecting us to both be very happy there. There are some great and familiar staff already on board. And I'm sooooo excited for my boy to get to go next week! One final note about McNeil's awesomeness. When I called to break the transfer news they 1) answered the phone and said hello to my by name (gut wrench#1). And when I told them he was finally going to the new location they were very sad but informed me that they were going to give him a going away party on his last day (gut wrench #2 which just about brought my ass to tears). Love this place for my pup! It was super easy and convenient. Our dog was spoiled when we went out of town. He had the room with the camera (24 hr... great idea and terrible at the same time. Ha), had a daily walk, playtime with friends and 1on1 time. He is a super energetic dog so the ability to add on services to keep him busy was awesome. The staff was great (even with the late night crazy dogmom calls of "he looks restless would you give him some extra love". The only down side is that it isn't cheap but you get what you pay for and my dogs are my babies. We will definitely use them again for daycare and boarding! Love that they are also 24 hours so we were able to drop off the morning we left with no problem. Ps. The pics they took of our pup are beautiful! read more

I did not board my pet here but they did help me out immensely and are extremely kind. I had just flown in from Germany with my cat and was staying at a hotel about 2 blocks away. I arrived very late at night the airline had lost my luggage. I needed to catch a flight very early the next morning. My cat's litter box and litter were in my lost luggage, and after traveling for over 24 hours, she was distraught and needed to go to the bathroom! I ran down the street and tried to see if they could sell me some cat food and litter. They told me they didn't have any for sale, but the sweet female employee went to the back and gave me a baggie of food and litter for free and was very endearing about it. This was around Jan 3, 2018. So, if your business ever reads this, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! read more

We are SO LUCKY that Bark and Zoom opened, especially right outside the airport. My husband and I often do quick weekend trips and this place is absolutely perfect. The facility is gorgeous, chic, and extremely clean. Our dog literally scratches at the door to get inside because she has such a great time there. This is a huge relief. She gets to both relax and play at the same time. Anyone that is in need of either puppy day care or a few nights stay- THIS is the place to go! read more
