We come home from long days at work to a different dog on the days that she has walks/runs with Game Time, and she is always much happier, calmer and doesn't chew or get into trouble, and they always provide sweet notes and photos of their outing. Amy has also been very understanding on a couple of occasions when we absentmindedly forgot to leave our key in the lockbox, she would return later in the day or have someone else do so, so that our pup could get the walk. 2 stars for challenges with communication, professionalism, and area of service. The good: of interactions with 4 dog walkers in 7 months, one was only once, and two were great and somewhat "long-term" relatively writing. Area of expertise: one walker kicked (yes, kick, not block) one of my pups. In front of me. She (pup) is a rescue from the streets of San Antonio learning how to be a people and house dog. If he had listened, "do NOT put your knee up; she thinks you're playing the way wild dogs play with front legs up." So he left the house, promptly called the owner, told her she got his 'private region' etc. I find out later that she didn't even reprimand him. Here's the deal: if you are working with dogs, dogs jump; you do not kick someone else's pup, especially a newly rescued dog, because it jumps on you if that is your profession...and then rotate that person to someone else's pet. Confirmed by the manager who has left the business). Update: I am unable to walk my pups and am present when they are picked up. I relayed in my discussion with the owner the previous issues with this long-term walker that I had attempted to resolve prior to this incident. A kick is a kick; a yelp is a yelp. Also, the new walker, who had never walked dogs in her previous life had 1 trip with my pups before taking them out on her own before I was told by the owner how difficult that new walker found them to be. Update: Me and my pups became very attached to this walker, but a vet tech is not a walker and 1 trial walk does not breed familiarity with the "26 years of training methods", and sending sideways insults via email is unprofessional without taking the situation into context. Communication & Unprofessionalusm: I communicated to the owner and to the manager who was one of my primary pup walkers that I have chronic daily migraines during the Meet & Greet, and do not use tech devices often. I was asked about downloading an app and said I would not. The manager/walker later asked me about it; I reiterated my position. When a new walker was brought on to walk my pups, she was told to use the app for messaging ALL clients. When the new walker didn't show up, I sent a text to the manager/walker asking for status, I received a GROUP text from the owner stating that if I had the app, I would have received the message. At this point, I finally had to air my humiliation in the group text that my 3G old old phone no longer would download apps and I could not afford a new one. The owner was well aware that I am on Disability income from our first conversation. But that is not the point. This is beyond unprofessional communication. After the 3rd time, Leave. It. Alone. I am omitting the issue that led to my finally terminating services, because there's too much gray in that area, but relative to professionalism, during that discourse as well as during previous disagreements the owner continued to make it personal. And after sending the note terminating services, she continued to send texts and emails for two days finally stopping today (July 2021). Please note that I worked with the same business owner/dog service for the previous 6+ years and had the same dog walker for almost 5 of those years, during which time we never had a single disagreement (she dissolved the business during the pandemic). I even sent Thank You texts today to Matt & each back up walker today (yes, I shed a tear or two) read more

Game Time saved me, or rather my sweet yellow Labrador, when my knees went out last year. I rely upon them to exercise my dog and they are absolutely up to the task. I love how easy it is to schedule services and maintain the mutual calendar. It's just as easy to pay online and their prices are fair. I know this because I compared them with about half a dozen other services. Best of all, whenever I have a question, I can just post it to our private conversation board. I always get an answer by next morning. These are good people. Lacey loves them, especially Greg, her regular walker. Always a time of great joy when Greg appears at our door! A last note for these times of pandemic: If you're working from home and still have a salary, please keep hiring the service providers you were hiring before. Your dog can have two walks a day. The three most magical letters in the alphabet this week are A-M-Y and Game Time Dog Services! What an amazing person and operation. The unfortunate part for so many people is that they don't know that Amy does Cats! That's right! This is more than the name suggests. Therefore for all of the cat owners leaving their feline friends at home that could used a "checking in", you should work with Amy for a daily visit. We have her on retainer this week to watch our 3 cats and it has been such a relief! From our first meeting I knew that Amy would be able to work with us on the needs for our "Gang of 3" . Amy had a great initial consultation and asked fantastic questions for clarity. Similar to all people that do work in our home, we like to work off a written "Scope" statement so all of us are on the same page. Amy helped us work through the definition of the document and helped me clarify items that I took for granted that she picked up and is executing for us. During her first visit alone she went out of her way to snap a picture of our "gang" and send it over. I feel so much at ease knowing that the Gang had a nice morning meal and clean litter boxes for the rest of the day. I love that they take credit cards and can keep that on file for future visits. I have not traveled very much out of Austin because of our concern to make sure the "Gang" is well cared for, but having met Amy, I think I can take a few more trips, because I know they would be in good hands. Amy is AMAZING! Amy just started walking my two Boston Terriers two months ago and I could not be happier for a slew of reasons: 1. She does her JOB. My dogs differ drastically in age. I have a 3 year old and a 4 month old. To say the least she has her hands full. But she handles them both and gives them both the attention they need. She makes sure the older dog gets the the walk in and the more rambunctious play she needs, while making sure the puppy has his puppy pads, his crate set up, and the attention he needs. She always gives me a post walk update on how they did, what they did, and has even sent me cute pics of them playing. I know my dogs are being well cared for. 2. She is trustworthy. It's hard to let someone into your home, unsupervised, when you're not there. It's definitely a risk. Amy has a key, comes when we are not home and we have left jewelry, even (gasp) money on the counters and it has never even been so much as touched. I trust Amy in my home. 3. She goes above and beyond. Amy scanned and sent us potty training articles and even brought over some extra puppy pads to help with the impossible task that is potty training. 4. She is flexible. When we first started using Amy we took quite some time getting her a key. So everyday she had to drive to our building management office (off-site), wait for someone, get a key, drive back to the house, then afterwards drive back and drop off the key. I felt terrible! But she never once acted like it even bothered her. She stays closely in touch and seems very easy going and flexible- something very important if your life is so busy you're considering a dog walker! I really can not come up with any criticism. I wish I could to give this review a little more credibility... but I have nothing negative to say! read more

Just returned home from a 6 day vacation in which Game Time was in charge of our two elderly dogs. They are so much more comfortable in our home than at a boarding facility (one is blind so really doesn't need the stress of a new environment) and having Game Time come puts us so at ease. We sent a long list of instructions (one dog requires medication administration) and Amy followed up with great questions ahead of time. AMY ROCKS!! I had to go out of town and don't ever want to board my dogs. I asked Amy if she could dog sit for me. Of course she did, even though in her personal life one of her very own dogs was going through a difficult time (she left them in the care of her also capable husband). My dogs were so well cared for, she didn't miss a beat. One of my dogs is on twice daily meds/eye drops and eye flushes- she took care of everything. I cannot say enough excellent things about Amy. Our dearly loved Labrador, Lance, has some serious health issues. We hired Amy to make sure someone checked on him during the day while we are both at work. Amy is so loving and attentive towards him and is making this stage of his life fabulous. Amy is incredibly reliable, showing up rain or shine within the time window she committed to. She does so many extra things for Lance like brushing him, making sure his water bowl is full, and giving him treats. During our extra hot summer this past summer, she made sure the wading pool we had for him had cool, clean fresh water whenever we couldn't get to it. We get photos daily of Lance's adventures with Amy, taking walks, wading in his pool, getting treats, etc. She is also HIGHLY communicative about how he looks every day due to his illness - she notices his good days and bad days and informs us of anything unusual physically or about his attitude. Amy even took it upon herself to take Lance to the vet when he had a terrible nosebleed and I couldn't be contacted as I was in the air on my way back to Dallas. Game Time Dog Services is one of the best dog sitting/walking services I have used in Austin. I have an older dog that is becoming very high maintenance and requires different medications throughout the day. Amy goes above and beyond to make sure my dog is happy. She's flexible and always friendly (no matter how many nervous emails I send !) She runs with my dog during the week, and has come on the weekend when I've been out of town. She's dependable, always responds to emails/texts, and is just a really nice person. Amy and her team took such great care of my pup, I really felt ok leaving him for such a long time. He had some stomach issues the first few days, and Amy kept me up to speed and we talked a few times about if a vet visit was necessary or not. They did a great job cleaning up after my pup too (I think my carpets were cleaner when I got home then when I left). They were super great and flexible when my flight coming home was cancelled and I ended up needing one more day of service at the very last minute. I should say this was all handled with such ease and grace, and I come to find out later that Amy was on her Honeymoon. Amy, Hannah, and the whole Game Time team are absolutely phenomenal! In January we brought home our little english bulldog Buford. I work full time and my boyfriend is in a masters program and there are a few days we need a little extra help with an extra walk here and there for our little guy!
