We are blown away by ATX K9 and what they were able to do with our puppy. She is so well behaved and now listens to us. She spent two weeks at ATX K9 and it was worth every penny. She does great walking with a leash, listens to all our commands, and no longer bites us to get our attention. Thank you!!!! We are so grateful.

Steven, Ashley, and team are absolutely amazing! We brought our 3 year old pup for an initial board and train to improve loose leash walking and general etiquette. Two weeks and many cute photos later, we noticed such a massive difference in her behavior! We now use ATX K9 for all of our boarding and our pup is SO excited when we arrive. She jumps out, says goodbye, and runs to go hang out with Steven and his crew of amazing trainers, never looking back. She's equally as excited when we pick her up running across their (very large) yard to come greet us with a huge smile on her face. Now, we're so excited to put our second pup through 3 weeks of board and train to build strong habits from the beginning and we couldn't be more excited. This team of amazing trainers is a hidden gem and truly one of a kind.

We recently took our mini Aussie to ATX K9 and could not be happier with the whole experience! I had personally had a bad experience with a dog training company when I was a kid, so I was hesitant to send my (now) dog to a 2 week board and train, especially since he was already a very sweet, smart and kind boy. With that said, I knew that he could be even better and I really wanted to nail down the "basics" with distractions around so I could travel with him and take him with me anywhere. Our dog, Mamba is now even better at "sit, down, and come" and has learned to "heel, place, and off" like a champ! He is better at calming himself down and is gaining confidence due to the awesome training. It's only been a few days since we've been home with him again and these news skills have come in handy over and over! Today I took Mamba on an off-leash walk with lots of distractions and other dogs around, and he stayed by my side the whole time! It was so cool. I love that he is still his silly, sweet, loving self! Thanks ATX K9 for everything! Highly recommend!

So far so good. I really like the names of the commands they used and the techniques with the "shock" collar. I'm excited to practice these exercises the next couple months and see how much more she grows. The trainers are extremely personable and helpful. I asked a million questions and they had answers and patience for all of them. I already highly recommend them to anyone with any age or breed of dog. Looking forward to the follow up private lesson in a few weeks!

One of the precious photo updates I got of my babies! As well as videos!

Can't recommend enough! I brought in my two crazy and ill mannered corgis for training. Specifically wanting to address on leash behaviors and interactions with other dogs. I should probably mention that one of them is particularly smart and sassy and another is very nervous and resistant to basically everything. Neither were the ideal candidates for an easy training journey, but they both came out with great success! For starters, this training facility is based out of a family's lovely home on a quiet piece of land away from any stressful craziness that a boarding and training facility with tons of dogs and little space in the city might have. This gives you serious peace of mind, knowing that they're in a home with someone always present and near constant supervision and interaction. They also care deeply about their clients and don't take an overwhelming amount of dogs, so you know your baby is getting personal attention and love. They send updates, photos, and videos of your babies and are patient in answering all the questions us crazy dog parents might have. Upon pick up, you get an extremely thorough walk through of training with demonstrations and the chance to learn hands on with your dog and address any questions immediately. You don't feel rushed whatsoever, and this family is so kind and friendly- they were even giving me recommendations on activities in Austin because I'm new to the area! My dogs are night and day compared to what they were before training. No leash pulling, listening to commands, and having stress free romps with other dogs in the park. The best part of their services is that they're there for you afterward to help work through any issues that may arise as your dog gets acclimated back into their home environment. They want to work with you to really get the best results you can- they're not just trying to take your money and run. I can personally say that my dogs are near close to perfect, and the little things we have to tweak are not only minor, but are breezing by with the guidance of these trainers. They even come out to you for your follow ups if you'd like! I'm so looking forward to continuing to work with ATX K9 because my dogs love them and I love and trust them and their results!

ATX K9 is amazing! My brother recently got deployed to Afghanistan and his 10 month old pit bull Kylo came to stay with us. Kylo had recently had an altercation with my brothers roommates dog about a month before he came to us. Due to that incident Kylo naturally was scared of other dogs and overall needed training in other areas. After searching I came across ATX K9 and they have truly been a blessing! We did the 1 month board and train which has been great given our busy schedules. Kylo is back now and doing amazing! He is still the outgoing happy pup but calmer and is able to be easily redirected when distraction arise. Kylo is even getting along with his cousin Brody the pug! Can't wait for my brother to get back to see all the Kylo has accomplished! Thank you again ATX K9 we truly couldn't have done this without y'all!

Transformative Online Training, Truly Beyond Words!…read more We are so grateful for Allegra and her incredible online training program. We took in two stray dogs who were wild, anxious, and completely untrusting. We weren't sure where to begin and it was chaotic for us, until we found her. Through her online courses and virtual sessions, she helped guide us step by step with patience, wisdom, and a technique that honestly goes beyond words. Even though we never met in person, her presence and deep understanding of animal behavior came through in every interaction. With her support, our dogs have started to trust us, calm down, and settle into their new life. The change has been remarkable. It feels like a miracle to see them open up and begin to feel safe and loved. If you're dealing with fearful or reactive dogs, do not hesitate to work with Allegra. Her approach is compassionate, intuitive, and truly life-changing. Thank you, Allegra, so much!!

It's much more wide ranging than training that's only focused on commands like sit/stay/down/etc (though you can work on all of those with the Naked Dog's programs too). Before we signed up for the group training series, I was at my wit's end with our recently adopted dog. He had a lot of behavioral issues, ranging from chewing things in the house, overall excitability, constant attempts to eat pecans and, worse, trash on walks (and often succeeding despite our best efforts & requiring steady doses of probiotics and even a vet visit to induce vomiting), and lunging on leash at dogs and passing vehicles. We also noticed that when we took him to the dog park, he'd play really rambunctiously and generally go 0-60, including running and body checking other dogs (not the best strategy for harmonious playing). The great part about this series is that it's three in-person sessions (we added a fourth for some additional coaching) and the rest is a series of online lessons. This made it easy for us to work through at our own pace. In the online portion, the end of every lesson included video homework that we'd send in and get feedback from one of the Naked Dog trainers -- this was great because it captured us applying these skills in a total real world setting, without the presence of a trainer to coach us or influence our dog to be on his best behavior. Fast forward a couple months, and now we feel confident that we can handle any situation with our dog, including taking him to busy and distracting environments and responding to misbehavior. He's mellowed out so much -- he isn't perfect, but it feels like we've reached an understanding. He went from my problem child to my sidekick. He can walk in a heel, he comes when called, and will wait at the door before we say he can come in. It feels like he's looking to us as leaders and that he's truly settled in as part of our family. We followed the Naked Dog's recommendations for introducing dogs for the first time when we took him over to a friend's house to meet their dogs, and they remarked on what a good dog he is, and that he's better behaved than other dogs they've petsitted, so now we have a worry-free petsitting option. I also now take him by our neighborhood park on walks and let him meet other dogs, which used to be a wild activity full of leash pulling and jumping. The Naked Dog taught us what to look for in reading dogs' behavior so that we can spot polite vs rude behavior and manage their interactions before they start getting too wild, which is a truly priceless part of this training seminar.

The owner does need to be diligent with taking their dog to the trainings (we kind of fell off at the end but it was okay) but as long as you stick with it, your dog will learn new skills and will be better behaved than before. We can literally walk our dog without a leash now, I never thought that would be possible. She will sit in her place when people come over and we are always getting compliments on how good she is. We can do things in the front yard and have her stay in the garage and she won't run after other dogs that walk by or other other people or children. She has learned to stay in her place for as long as we need her to be. It's funny because she was a really wild dog before and now that she's trained everybody loves her. overall the training here was worth it and we are really happy that we did it!

I reached out to Matt for virtual dog training appointments to help us through that, and his guidance and great wisdom around dog psychology and behavior and deep empathy for Ryder and in general made such a huge impact. I learned from Matt how to help Ryder through his fear and trauma and how to recognize when he was experiencing trauma (for example, he developed a new and strong fear of rumbling engines). By applying Matt's empathetic practices, Ryder has become much less fearful, is no longer afraid of rumbling engines or playing with other dogs and he's back to his old happy, playful, super enthusiastic and friendly self!! :) Matt also greatly helped my dog Ellie through the excessive anxiety that resulted from my marital separation and helped us learn what an impact the breaking of that social bond had on her and how to address it! We now give her the extra attention she needs when doing hand offs to switch between homes. Thank you so much, Matt working with you has made a WORLD of difference in Ryder and Ellie's quality of life!! :)
