    Our pittie on graduation day!
    Jennifer M.

Haley and Allegra at the Naked Dog have completely changed our lives! For the first time since we adopted our pit-mix, we can enjoy stress free walks, sleep through the night without him barking, and truly enjoy a peaceful co-existence with our dog. We adopted Harley knowing that he had some behavioral issues. He was wonderful in the house, but any time he met a new human or dog, or heard an unfamiliar noise, he would immediately become stressed, start barking, and lunging if he was on leash. After a bit of research, I knew the Naked Dog was our best choice. Our group meetings were incredibly informative (and Covid-safe) and having other dogs around while with worked with Haley and Allegra was so helpful and encouraging. Additionally, they are always available to answer questions and they have SO many online resources to help with specific needs. Our 1-on-1 training sessions were with Haley and can't express our gratitude enough. The way she worked with Harley helped us understand his cues and how to communicate with him was essential to our success. It was amazing to see him so focused, happy, and responsive when she worked with him (he literally pranced around listening to every word and cue she gave!), and she taught us how to get that attention from him as well. After spending about 6 weeks in their training program, he is NEW dog. He is calm, walks in heel, listens without treats, and his behavior toward other dogs has improved immensely. The Naked Dog taught us how to understand the language of our dog - to read his micro-communications, and to communicate with him in a way that he can understand, rather than confusing him.

Holly (on the rock) living her best life!

Allegra is literally a god-send!! Our 2 year old Schnoodle, Holly, has shown so much progress since we've worked with Allegra. We initially reached out to her to address Holly's fear-based aggression towards other dogs. Because of previous bad encounters, Holly would always growl or snap at other dogs within seconds of meeting them. Allegra taught us how to create a comfortable environment for Holly so she could confidently socialize with other dogs. Outside of that, she also taught my bf and I how to be Holly's pack leader! It was difficult at first to change up our life-style, but we trusted Allegra and it has made such a huge difference all around Holly's behavior. She respects and listens to all our commands AND she trusts us 100% to keep her safe in public! On our last session, Allegra took Holly on an off-leash hike with 13 other dogs and Holly did fantastic! She didn't snap once and her recall was on point. I've never been such a proud dog mom!! THANK YOU so much for your help, Allegra!

Allegra and Haley changed me and my pup's life! I can't believe how much progress we made in our group session training. When I started, I had the craziest dog anyone had ever met. He jumped on people and furniture, leash pulled like crazy, caused a scene in public, was extremely reactive to other dogs, bit ankles and hands. Now, my life with my pup is much more peaceful. He is still energetic but has manners. I can take him on walks and he walks by my side and I feel in control. He no longer lunges and barks at other dogs. He no longer jumps on the table or bites me while I eat. I control him when guests come over and he doesn't jump on them. He has learned how to politely greet dogs and humans and we are still working on growing those skills together. My family, friends and neighbors are all in awe noting how much he has changed and how much more pleasant he has become. Additionally, Allegra and Haley are both extremely kind, honest and reasonable. There have been times I have inquired about more expensive options like personal training and board and train and they assured me that the more affordable group training would be a good option for us. They truly want what is best for you and your pup and treat it as an opportunity to heal your relationship between you and your dog - not just as a business opportunity. I would HIGHLY recommend The Naked Dog. Don't even think twice about it. They are miracle workers!

Allegra and Haley are wonderful. We initially had a consult for our puppy and older golden before our daughter was born. Allegra takes the time to help and I appreciate that the girls get some training on their hikes as well. We've noticed great improvement with both girls' behavior on leash. We've used the hiking and boarding and have been extremely happy with both. With a small child, I don't have time to drop our younger dog at daycare and I can't stand to have her in a kennel all day. They pick up and drop off which is great for us. I would recommend The Naked Dog to anyone who wants to give their dog exercise and exposure to other dogs in a non daycare environment. If I could hike with my dogs everyday, I would. I trust both Allegra and Haley completely and our dogs love them. When we go out of town, I know they are in good hands and we love getting the daily photos.

My husband and I have had a fantastic experience working with Hailey at The Naked Dog. Hailey changed our lives when it comes to day to day living with our dog Arnold. Before our first training session, we struggled with Arnold biting his leash, not listening at dog parks when called (selective hearing), and acting up/ being rambunctious around the house when we were trying to watch a movie or relax. Things have sure changed! Arnold is now so good that we are able to take him everywhere with us (restaurants, parks, planes) without any issues. After our full training series, we joined a Saturday hiking group with Hailey that furthered Arnold's skills when it comes to being off-leash! He will now heel when off leash (when asked) and comes back every time we call him. It's no longer stressful taking him out on a hike! Not to mention Hailey showed us so many great new trails. We have been so lucky to find The Naked Dog! We can't wait to get Arnold into one of their hiking groups!

    My doggies adore Allegra.

As much as I'd love to spend my days running around with my pups, girl's gotta work. Allegra is a lifesaver, scooping them up twice a week for off leash hiking with a pack. They come back happy, spent, and polished on their training to boot. My younger dog, a rescue, was very fearful and unpredictable when we first adopted him. Hiking with The Naked Dog had a profound impact on him, helping him tune in to a chiller pack-member posture.

I was introduced to two magical training artists known as Allegra and Haley at a puppy introductory class. I was nervous about going even though I had been working with my puppy, but I was so glad that I went! My boxer, Mack had a blast and so did I. It was a small group of (up to date) vaccinated puppies who were close in age and size. We worked on things like basic commands, walking on leash, and introductory play with others. Allegra and Haley have this synthesis that creates a soft, but disciplined demeanor that compliments one another, sprinkled with magical nuggets of individual wisdom and experience. I felt comfortable and started to relax and gain some confidence back. I like that Allegra is tough, but fair. She gives direction well, explains the reasoning behind her corrections, and reminds me to pause and breathe. I like that Haley is warm and assertive, and she took the extra time to help me problem solve after one session. I haven't had the opportunity to spend as much time working with Haley, but as I said before.. Allegra and Haley compliment each other's training and teaching styles so well! They are able to explain ideas from different perspectives, all while personalizing the experience to meet you and your pet's needs. They have created a community of dogs and dog people to ask questions, share ideas, and continued learning. They even have amazing "how to" articles on their website! Mack and I thank you The Naked Dog for the professional, fun, and personalized support. Definitely recommend!

She has learned to stay in her place for as long as we need her to be. I learned from Matt how to help Ryder through his fear and trauma and how to recognize when he was experiencing trauma (for example, he developed a new and strong fear of rumbling engines). By applying Matt's empathetic practices, Ryder has become much less fearful, is no longer afraid of rumbling engines or playing with other dogs and he's back to his old happy, playful, super enthusiastic and friendly self!! :) Matt also greatly helped my dog Ellie through the excessive anxiety that resulted from my marital separation and helped us learn what an impact the breaking of that social bond had on her and how to address it!
