Y'all, we cannot rave enough on how amazing this place is, especially Morgan!!! We took our German Short-haired Pointer for the week 4 week program since she was less than a year old with ALOT of energy, and WOW!! We picked up a well-mannered, obedient, skilled pup. Morgan is absolutely amazing and spent so much time being patient answering our 637282612 questions thoroughly and training us humans also. She's enthusiastic, energetic, and so nurturing to the dogs... AKA she is made to work with animals. Be reassured that your fur baby is in the best hands with people who genuinely put the animals before the money. We will definitely be sending our lab for training here! I have placed my lab retriever at Redmark for boarding and training for one month periods three times over the past 1-2 years, and i have only great appreciation and respect for their trainers, owners, property, and facilities. They clearly love dogs and are patient in teaching their client dog owners/handlers how to better work and train their own dogs. They are also generous volunteers in helping retriever clubs in various ways, and provide quality obedience training as well as more specialized training such as gun dogs, hunt tests, etc. I also applaud their newly introduced boarding discounts for individuals affected by the Covid19 virus fallout. read more

I'm not going to lie and say that I wasn't reluctant to leave my dog when I went on vacation out of state. My dog is everything to me and with my husband's background in the veterinary industry, I know that anything can happen. Meeting Debbie and Mark has been one of the best things to happen to me and my dog. When I called to ask about their boarding services, Debbie was extremely helpful and even let me drone on about my pup and his habits. When I told her how much he loves to play fetch and how he still tends to get excited around people, she recommended doing some training during his stay as well. Well, what can I say except for WOW. I enjoyed my vacation (and didn't worry about his safety one bit) and came home to a happy, healthy, well mannered dog. Their trainer, Morgan, spent time telling me about the fun things my dog did while I was away (did I mention they have an awesome pond where the dogs get to go swim?). I'm pretty sure that my dog had a better vacation than I did. I don't have any trips planned right now, but I know that if I have to go away and leave my dog again, this is the place he will be going. We sent our coonhound/lab pup Lola to Redmark when she was about 10 months old--it was the best decision we've made this year! Lola completed the 4 week training and came back the dog we always envied :)  Before going to Redmark, we were dealing with a lot of common puppy issues- pulling on leash, not coming when called, jumping, wouldn't settle down. We figured Redmark training would address 2 of the 4. We were beyond thrilled when Lola came back and all of these bad habits had been cured plus a few more. After spending a month at Redmark, Lola has perfect recall, sits (and stays), lays (and stays), can heel ON AND OFF leash, doesn't jump on people or furniture. Not only that, she's now fully kennel trained, has learned how to relax, is an excellent hiker, and will "place" indefinitely.  Training in general is kind of like a use it or lose it thing, similar to learning a different language (for us and Lola). We've definitely continued working with her post-Redmark. The huge difference between training at Redmark vs trying to learn from youtube/books/classes is that Morgan taught both Lola and us what we need to be doing and how to communicate effectively so that Lola will respond correctly. Continuing Redmark's training also helped us bond even more with Lola. She still has her same silly puppy personality, only now she isn't wild and out of control.  We are so impressed with Morgan, she's an excellent trainer. When we went for training lessons mid-month and end-of-month, I could tell that Morgan had spent a lot of time with Lola and knew all of her little quirks as well as her specific strengths and weaknesses. She knew when Lola had hit her max and was becoming grumpy and knew when Lola was giving her the puppy dog eyes because she wanted to keep sniffing around instead of doing what she was supposed to. Seeing that in action made me really confident that Morgan was giving Lola personalized training and care. For a second I was worried that Lola wanted to go home with Morgan instead of us, I could tell they really bonded!  In addition to training, Morgan also managed all logistics: she answered every email, sent weekly updates, remembered monthly meds, and scheduled the mid and end visit. Prior to training, Morgan even spent 40min on the phone with me answering all of my training questions about the facility and program- she's really well organized and I felt so confident that Morgan had everything under control.  Would absolutely recommend investing in your dog (and sanity) through Redmark training! Lola has definitely been our bright spot during all of this Covid mess and now that she knows her commands backwards and forwards, we're all having way more fun! read more

I highly recommend Redmark Kennels. We left our two Shih tzu dogs there for two weeks of training. When we picked them up they were like new puppies. I could not believe the difference in their behavior. Ashley and Morgan were both great with training and caring for our dogs. If you are planning on leaving you puppy there, be assured he/she will be well taken care of and a changed puppy when you return. I cannot say enough about how terrific this place is so please excuse the novel about to come. I've dealt with Redmark for almost 3 years. Initially it was the board and train with my newly adopted 9 month old lab pup. I've had dogs for 20 years but never what I would consider a "well trained" dog. I didn't realize for all this time that I was the one who needed the training. Morgan and the team gave me the tools I needed and prepared Trixie to respond to them. About 4 months later I brought my 7 week old puppy for their head start program. I've always rescued older dogs and was scared to death to have a new puppy, no less two young labs at the same time. I went out to visit Tucker on the weekends and the staff was always accommodating and welcoming. (it was 7 weeks I think). Sometimes I would bring Trixie so they could play, plus I received regular updates and pictures. To this day Tucker is the best behaved dog I have ever owned. He is calm, disciplined and in tune with my every word. I attribute this to the start Redmark gave him. He came home potty trained, knowing basic commands, walking on a loose leash, loving fetch and swimming, and willingly responsive to commands like sit, down, etc. He was socialized, easily played with other dogs and quickly bonded with his "sister." You can imagine life with two young labs, 170 lbs of wiggly flesh, my friends thought I was crazy. But I knew what I needed to do and as long as I did it, the pups responded. I could walk them together, take them to the park, hiking, etc. People are always commenting how well behaved they are. Another thing I love is that they don't have fears and phobias like many dogs. They love swimming, even jumped on my paddleboard without hesitation. When they hear thunder they run outside hoping for a chance to play in the rain instead of running for the corner. About two years after Tucker's training I went on vacation and took both of them back for boarding. I paid a little extra to have training thrown in to fine tune a couple things. (They were playing too rough with each other). I didn't expect much behavior difference in other areas as they were already model dog citizens. To my amazement Trixie came back a new and improved dog. She's my teenager, always testing the boundaries and quickly out of control if not monitored. She returned drastically calmer, more controlled and much more attentive to my commands. I had no idea! Now I'm making it a point to take them to Redmark when I travel so they can get more time with Morgan and the trainers. The positive outcome of that time is worth the 50 mile drive from my home. My pups board together and the cost is much more affordable, even with brush up training, than most places where they are left to their own devices. You cannot go wrong with Redmark. The people are top notch and the results speak for themselves. read more

On sixty or so acres, the kennel has long runs with plenty of room for a dog bed & easy access to the outdoors. We dropped off a wild and strong-willed 5-month-old Lab for puppy camp and picked up a well-behaved gentleman. Our puppy came back knowing several useful commands, but also, his mind has been trained to be receptive to even further training. The training at Redmark is top-notch, and the personal and individualized attention can't be beat. It's a bit outside Austin but a pleasant, scenic drive. The property is a dog's haven with wide open spaces and dog ponds. Everything is clean and well-kept. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back for boarding and more training as needed. read more

Located just past Manor and Elgin, we gladly make the drive from Austin to kennel our dogs with Mark and Deb. The facilities are spacious, clean and very well maintained. We know our dogs are in good hands when we leave them there. For a few extra bucks, the staff has been working with our dogs when they are kenneled there. You can tell both the owners and dogs enjoy the experience. Their rates are very reasonable, even with the extra training. We sleep well when our dogs are there. Can't think of anything better than that. read more

I have used RedMark Kennels several times to board my bird dogs and other dog pets on multiple occasions, and have been 110% completely satisfied. Very good facility , well laid out and always clean, well run facility. We will be lifetime customers. Due to an illness in the family, we had to travel and I was hesitant to leave our young puppy anywhere, but Redmark came highly recommended for boarding and training, and I'm glad I did. Our puppy came back a much calmer and more obedient puppy. He was only 14 weeks, so he still had puppy tendencies, but he really took to the training. The trainers were great, and they spent a lot of time with us reviewing what he learned so we could feel confident with the transition back home. I was very apprehensive taking my dog there upon visiting the facilities because they had a lot of dogs and I wasn't sure if they will be able to provide the care and attention my dog needs. However, we gave them the benefit of the doubt based on the good reviews here and dropped off our 5 months French Bulldog, which turned out to be the biggest mistake we ever made for our dog. The trainer did not send video update every Friday or keep us as informed with our dog's progress as much as stated. I would overlook all of this IF I felt that my dog got the proper training and was RETURNED to us in the condition we left him. A few days before the 2 weeks end, we got a called saying that our dog is limping and they don't know why. They believe it was because he tried jumping over the crate or something at night. We SPECIFICALLY asked them to crate our puppy at night but they said they felt bad for crating a young puppy for so long. With the expertise they claimed, I would expect them to respect our decision and understand why it is important to not let a puppy roam around free at night. Needless to say, my dog is still now limping after 1 week and he developed skin issues after coming back from the kennel. We dropped off a healthy and happy dog and now we have an injured puppy and the vet doesn't know if he will walk normally again. Anyone who cares about their beloved pets should look where else to board and train their dogs. read more

We had the best experience with Redmark Kennels. Our puppy was about 12 weeks old, and we did the Puppy Head Start training program. She was there 6 weeks, and even though it was hard to miss out on her cuteness, it was definitely worth it for us! Ashley was so great, and we felt comfortable with her. Not sure how we would have gotten through all the training without her! At pickup, we had a family training session so that we could all be on the same page with training going forward. Potty training, house training, name recognition, recall, heel, place/stay! Couldn't believe how much our puppy learned! About a year later, we took her back while we went on vacation...and our puppy had "tune up" training while being boarded. That helped too because at 1 year its nice to have a refresher. While we were away, Morgan sent us pictures & updates. We would definitely recommend Redmark Kennels! Ashley & Morgan are awesome! Great training, great boarding! read more
