Since I was new to the restaurant, the staff kindly explained the menu and how to order, which made the process really easy. The hot pot was delicious! There were plenty of options to choose from, including different meats, seafood, and vegetables, plus a range of spice levels to suit any preference. The portion size was very generous--I couldn't finish it all by myself! The broth was flavorful, and I loved the variety of ingredients in my meal. This is the perfect spot for a cold day, but I'd honestly come back anytime. They also offer appetizers and boba drinks, which is a great bonus. The restaurant is the middle of huge shopping center with Target. It is a little hard to find. Lots of parking spaces in front of the restaurant. Thanks so much to the genius who decided to open the 1st hotpot place in Temecula! Of course it's going to be successful! We waited 1 hour at 6pm today and I'm so glad we did! Was excited to try this place but a little discouraged by the single serving hot pot concept (I prefer communal style). Tried the lamb hot pot and was throughly impressed! Very generous serving of meat and all the ingredients were so high quality--some of the best blood sausage and imitation crab I've ever had! They pack such a variety of ingredients it's like sifting through treasure. We also tried the popcorn chicken which was amazingly flavorful and fried with what I believe are tea leaves. Our party agreed we will never not get the popcorn chicken when we return. This is a hip, brightly lit placed well suited for lunch with friends. You scan and order through your phone so it's not a traditional restaurant experience. It's hard to find a hot pot place in Temecula but this place knocks it out of the park! We found this place in one of Temecula malls, and immediately had to check it out. It's quaint inside, and smells amazing when you enter. Also plenty of parking outside. When we got inside the menu is split between side dishes and main hotpot's. For hotpot you get to pick a a combination, some are hot and spicy with seafood others are beef base with corn and veggies. The variety make it even better with these pre set hot pots. They bring out the hot pot and set it on the cooker and you add in the noodles and side bits you want. The rest is patience and magic. They also have some drinks and mixed saki drinks. The prices are very reasonable and the service is great, they also check on you for more broth and if you need anything. I highly recommend you check this hotpot place out! Reply to Management: The restaurant was COLD a few times I've been in when the weather was colder. I'm not over exaggerating. I can take the cold better than the vast majority of people here and don't wear jackets or sweaters when everyone else is wearing puffer jackets. That's me at work and in general all of the time here. I still can tolerate colder temps being from Chicago and have maintained the cold tolerance. It was COLD where I could tolerate on an as-needed basis, but it was extremely uncomfortable as a dining experience. I got the impression you were just saving money on your heating bill. The manager as I said, was almost shouting at me (not angry) with customers eating around him, and was frazzled and had a bewildered look on his face and in his posture, holding his hands out asking me what he should do to "not make me mad" - (maybe he's just gotten lots of complaints and felt overwhelmed), even though I wasn't angry and was speaking in a very calm tone and manner - I was seriously relaxed while he was frazzled. If you have cameras, you can take a look at the footage if you'll be honest with yourselves. He, as a manager had no idea how to handle it, and was asking for me to advise him when he should've known how to handle it professionally. I wasn't going to try to take advantage of his ignorance of how to handle it in the moment when he was asking me what he should do...and was hoping he'd figure out how to handle it properly. It was a screw-up on your part. The server told me he took everything down on the iPad, but the kitchen failed to follow through. You don't just give what you originally were supposed to at the end (dry noodles to take home) and not try to make up for the failure to follow through on a customer's simple requests that were approved with no hesitation. I would have handled it far more professionally if I were a manager, than that was handled. I would acknowledge and take ownership as a representative of the restaurant, and truly make it better, apologizing for our failure at proper service, and indicating your worth as a frequent customer...even if you were a first-time customer. These weren't one-off negative experiences. I've had a number of negative and even atrocious experiences here. No proper training, management, management of employees, a COLD restaurant, outrightly being repeatedly ignored, and outright disrespect. I've gotten the impression owners/ management do no care enough to provide anything close to an exceptional experience. I have only counted on a few select servers to provide such experiences. It comes down to how much the OWNERS care for a their customers and the level of integrity they hold, not a business just being about generating money. And it comes down to the extent of how involved owners are with their employees and their customers, and how much they illustrate they truly care for all of these people and the experiences they have at their establishment...not just defend themselves against any valid criticisms. I could've been a jerk and just given you 1 star, but I'm maintaining integrity and giving an honest assessment. I've enjoyed the food I've had...just not the failure to meet requests on it. These all and more are valid criticisms. The more successful you would be as a business if you only were to listen and absorb feedback and criticisms, implement changes, learn, and evolve...and not just justify your shortcomings and be defensive towards your patrons. It's not professional. As a business, you're providing a service to the public. If you fail at providing a high level of service to your patrons, you've failed at the core of the foundation of what your business is - customer service. It's far too rare of an experience to meet people of such levels of integrity around here. People do not generally care very much about others around here as I have found, and lack a level of integrity and mutual respect for one another. At least it's in line with the level of standards I've become familiar with around Temecula, the Inland Empire, & Southern California in general. You aren't out of place having your business here. Maybe you can change that and be one of the most exceptional ones though, and be an example to the rest of the businesses around here, and begin to create a much higher standard where far more pride could exist to make this place a far more desirable place to live. Just some suggestions on how you can look at it. At the core, we're all here to serve one another, and in saying these things, I'm serving you as a human being. It's up to you to take any of it or leave it all. If only everyone were to understand this fundamental human trait, we wouldn't have to quarrel so much and be in a much better place collectively. read more

Everything looked and sounded so good it was hard to choose. I ordered the hot beef bowl and it comes with a complimentary cup of sweetened green or black tea and rice or vermicelli. So happy we have Tasty Pot in Temecula! I've been to Tasty Pot in SD and SF so I'm super excited that we have Taiwanese hot pot so close to home. Went on a weekday, so business seemed pretty slow, but service was great. Restaurant is clean and hip, so it's a great place for dinner or a hefty lunch. I've tried their sizzling rice places and beef hot pot and both are so good an on-par with the other Tasty Pot locations I've been to. Their boba tea is also so good and a great way to end your meal. I make a mean pot of hot pot at home so I can be picky when it comes to hot pot joints. But my friends and I enjoyed Tasty Pot. I got the Taiwanese broth in mild. It was flavorful, & not too spicy. It had alot of different goodies in the soup. It had calamari, imitation crab, thin sliced beef, clams, tofu, fried tofu, fish cakes, fish ball with filling, blood cake, intestines, beef balls, ramen, mushrooms, cabbage, tofu skin, & a little bit of fatty cartilage. I'm usually not a fan of a few of these funky things. But everything was cooked perfectly, was melt in your mouth, & had no funky taste...so I ate it all. I loved the soybean dip for all the meats & veggies. Made everything even better. Lunch price for the hot pot was $20+ which comes with a complimentary free sweet tea & rice or vermicelli. You do have to cook it at your table (or risk turning it into beef jerky), but that just made us feel like Iron Chefs. We were legit fighting over it. So good. I was rather excited to try Tasty Pot as I have heard a lot of good things about this chain and wanted to see for myself how good it really is. While the interior was clean and the service was good, I ended up being sorely disappointed in the food. Initially I wanted to try the hot pot but when I saw that they had sizzling hot plate dishes I got extra excited since Pepper Lunch in OC is probably the closest place to get "DIY Teppanyaki". Admittedly, I am already a big fan of Pepper Lunch and Sizzling Lunch so I did try Tasty Pot with high standards. Unfortunately, I left Tasty Pot with NO taste in my mouth. Bland doesn't even begin to describe it. The garlic butter and black pepper sauce didn't taste bad...it just didn't taste like anything. Their chili oil was moderately spicy and had some flavor but I didn't use much because I still wanted to taste the food. Now that I think about it, I should have just covered the whole dish with the chili oil because at least I would have left with at least a bad taste in my mouth. read more

We are a regular diner at the Mira Mesa branch so we are happy and excited that they opened a branch here in Temecula. It's their soft opening period so it is understood that a lot of kinks will come into play so my 3 stars doesn't mean a bad thing because it gives them a room for improvement for future update review. Few things for them to note. Glass noodle/vermicelli is included in all their pot menu in Mira Mesa so we were surprised it is not the case here. I guess they have to check them out. Second and most important,their broth here is on the watered down/bland side for the lamb pot and not "milky" thick enough for the Cheesy Milk Soup. Vegetables aren't that filled up in comparison to the Mira Mesa branch. Perhaps they need to try other branches to check them out and make the necessary adjustments. Overall,we'd still come after their soft opening period to check if things has improved. Customer service was great so it has them working well already. read more
