After an afternoon of wine tasting, this was a great way to end the day before heading back to San Diego. Located in a strip mall conveniently near the freeway, parking was easy. Walking in, it's not a big place so we were thankful that our party of 6 was able to be seated right away. This is not an all-you-can eat hot pot restaurant but the individual bowls were pretty generous and delicious! We tried the Beef, Taiwanese Supreme, Cheesy Milk and Japanese Miso Hot Soups. Every person absolutely loved what they ordered. The dipping sauces of Chili Oil, Soy Garlic and Soybean Chili Sauce were fantastic! We each mixed our own combinations of them. Overall, this was a great find. Good customer service and delicious food. Can't wait to go back! read more

I am absolutely beyond furious with my experience here tonight, and I strongly advise anyone considering this place to stay far away. I came in with a group of 7, expecting a decent meal, but what I got was a masterclass in terrible service and shady business practices. First, the kitchen completely botched my order. Everyone else at my table was served and nearly finished with their meals before mine even arrived. Sitting there watching everyone else eat while my food was nowhere to be found was incredibly frustrating. But the real nightmare started when the bill arrived. Because we were a party of 7, they automatically added an 18% service charge to our checks. We split the bill, meaning that 18% was quietly tacked onto every single person's total. The waitress conveniently "forgot" to mention this to us, and since the service was already mediocre at best, we all tipped an additional 18% on top of the total. We ended up tipping a staggering 36% EACH! This is completely unacceptable and feels entirely predatory. I fully intend to contact my credit card company first thing in the morning to dispute this entire charge. Please be extremely careful if you decide to come here--check your receipts, ask questions, and do not let them take advantage of you. This place is a total scam! read more

First time visit and the service was amazing. The girl that waited on us was really nice and informative on how everything worked from scanning the QR code to being able to order online which I love because it takes off a lot of the pressure of ordering on the spot. She also made sure to check on us frequently throughout the meal as well. We ordered 4 boba drinks (not the best we've had, but still refreshing on a hot day) and a bunch of apps to share family style plus the miso hot pot which is a huge portion. All the hot pot places I have ever been to from San Diego to Hawaii, you just choose your broth and that is simmering while you go pick out your pre-plated veggies and meats that you want. The way this is premade being on heat the entire meal, made everything soggy, unfortunately. The broth was ok, more umami flavor from the konbu than actual miso flavor. Nothing included in the hot pot really had any flavor unless you used their sauce on the table, the soybean chili was my favorite. The appetizers were really good, from the rocket shrimp to the beef skewers, my favorite was the pork egg roll which was fried in rice paper. They give you complementary rice and vermicelli noodles along with an amazing sweetened Japanese green tea with your hot pot order as well. Our youngest enjoyed the popcorn chicken and the french fries the most. Ended up spending $120 after tip for lunch for four which is pricey, but we definitely paid for the experience and novelty. read more

It was my first time at a Tasty Pot in general. It was very interesting to see a hot pot location in Temecula of all places. On a Saturday night, this place wasn't completely full; I'd say half of the restaurant was still available for seating. They seated us immediately and had told us to scan the QR codes for the menu. You also submit your orders online so it goes straight to the kitchen. I ended up ordering their lamb hot pot, mildly spicy with a Hazy IPA to go with my meal. I also got rice but you have the option for vermicelli. When I received my meal, it already had a flame on the bottom. Within my pot there were slices of lamb, lots of lattice, a cube of purple rice (?), fish balls, meat balls, and more. To go along with my pot, they had three sauces you can use for your meal: garlic ponzu, spicy bean curd, or a spicy chili oil. Overall, I'd like to say the service was exceptional. They checked on us and offered to refill our pots with soup. My reason for the three stars is the good quality. I've had my share of different hot pot places and experiences, and I try to taste the quality in their vegetables, meat, and fish/meat balls. Their quality isn't top tier and I can taste it in the quality of the ball. They fill your pots with lots of cabbage, but the pot itself was lacking. The taste and quality of meat wasn't great nor was the soup. I'd say it's not bad for the Temecula area, but it could absolutely be better especially for the price you pay. Besides the quality and taste, service was great. The inside was clean and the tables were nicely arranged. I don't know the likelihood of me coming back, but it was nice to experience. read more

My daughter brought me here a week or so ago for a great lunch. Great it was! The service was great, the place is spotless and the food was great. The bubble or boba drink was absolutely delicious! I wish I could remember the names of the two pots we got but I don't. The only thing I do remember is that it was green'ish and it had curry. I could have eaten thw whole thing by myself. They have Tv's that were playing the soccer games. The bathrooms are also spotless. The colors are a beige and gold. Their selfie wall in the front is cute. I would absolutely come back here again. read more

It was nearly empty when I went. I think this type of food is hard for this demographics. If you were in San diego or orange county or l.a it would always be busy. I dont like tasty pot in general. This place looks big on the outside but its kind of small in the inside. I love yin tang and ziangliang mala tang and places of the likes bc its 14$ a pound and you choose what you want inside. Today I ordered the stinky tofu soup, which was BTW very delicious. Its an excellent broth. I chose the flame spicy and there was no spice but that's sort of expected bc the demographics in temecula cant handle ANY spice, even tiniest bit. This soup was very rich and flavorful, but what I was disappointed in was there was 0 intestines. I only ordered this bowl bc it had intestines. I showed my server I had 0 as I was sifting through my soup. I asked him if he can get me a bowl of intestines a d if he can't, ill pay for the extra charge. This was the only reason why I ordered this dish! Its just sad it had none. This is why they get 3 stars. I like the cabbage substitute bc I dont eat noodles or rice. Everything else in the soup was OK. I also got beef sticks. It had 0 flavor. I think even this demographic would agree. Maybe today I got a bad batch? Again, im not a big fan of tasty pot and its overpriced food, but i shall say this is the best tasty pot I've had. Ill come again to try other things. I want to add i loved the tofu paste sauce they had with chili oil and soy sauce on the middle of the table. The soy sauce was really funky however. read more

I liked this concept of hot pot, although I was confused at first but they refill your broth, assuming with a base broth that mixes well with all flavors. Even though it isn't all you can eat, the portion size makes up for that, you don't need all you can eat lol. It's nice getting your hot pot to go, I should ask at the other spots bc why waste the broth! Some countries drink bone broth for breakfast and I'm all about saving food, I don't mind leftovers. I wanted to try a Taiwanese hot pot and I got the spicy beef one! There was a lot of things I wasn't sure about but it's not that big of a deal and just took them out but I tried them first! You never know what you will like! I really loved the Napa cabbage!!! Oh and please y'all, get the black tea, I came during lunch and it was complimentary but if not please get that black tea! It's the best black tea I have had in a long time! They do need to do something about the flies! I had to take a greedy fly out bc he kept trying to get my food and actually landed on it! I'm giving them five stars bc it was only one fly but made me think ya know. Now I wonder how the other restaurants ensure there aren't any flies! There must be a way and hopefully you guys figure that part out. read more

Even though we didn't order the hot pot, we still had a really good experience at Tasty Pot! The food was overall delicious and definitely worth the visit. Workers were friendly! Ambiance good for friends and family! The popcorn chicken was a standout -- super flavorful and crispy. The beef skewers were also really yummy and well-seasoned. Rice was solid and did the job. The torpedo shrimp and the pork & shrimp egg rolls were just okay -- not bad, but not the highlight of the meal. For drinks, the taro milk tea with boba was good and satisfying. The Thai tea was okay, nothing special but still enjoyable. Overall, a solid spot with tasty food and good variety. Next time we'll probably try the hot pot, but even ordering off the appetizer menu was worth it! read more

I was close by, starving and wanted to try the soup, I went to order and ask what her favorite was. She mentioned a couple of the soups and then the Beef sizzling plate. That sounded so good, with udon noodles, onions, corn, cheese and a fried egg. Of course that's what I ordered, with all the extras. I was going to take it home, but instead thought it would taste better on the sizzling plate. I was seated and patiently waited. Once it arrived I was instructed to mix it together well and enjoy. It was so full of flavor and tasty. I will have to make another trip to actually try the soup, I am very happy I decided to stop here today. Thank you. read more

Unfortunately, the flavors in the food were lacking. I had read that from others and even tried to add the available sauces. However, the sauces didn't do much and I was left wanting to find a way to enjoy the meal. Fortunately, the boba tea was good and I ordered a side of chicken skewers which tasted more fresh. Also, the setup is odd because you sit down and order using your phone yet at the end you walk up to pay. Not sure why we couldnt just pay using our phone since the location forces you to order using a phone. There is staff around that bring out the food and beverages, so there is some human interaction. When the servers were around, they were friendly. I wanted to like this place but the tasty pot was not worth it. For a place that features a hot pot, that meal is not there speciality. I was about to write a review for boiling poi*t, but I decided to come back and get to the review for tasty pot. The overall ambiance was a bit unsettling with their tables not being the cleanest, the sauce containers having what seemed to be some residue as well as some bugs on there, and it just didn't feel the greatest. The service was good and was helpful with our meal, and the food itself was good, not great. There definitely could have been more flavors since the broth tastes a bit watered down. My husband and I have dined in plenty of times, and each time we've always had a great experience with the food and staff. I think it's a great price for all of the food you're getting. If you dine in during their lunch hours, you get a free green or black tea. Both are really good and I wished they offered this complimentary drink during dinner too. You order via a QR code with your phone, or you can always order with the staff if you're not tech savvy. There are sauces that are left on the table to add to your liking. The restaurant is always super clean and there's usually plenty of tables. The longest we've ever waited was 5 minutes. Winter time calls for a nice bowl of hot soup and Tasty Pot is the perfect spot! I came here during lunch time with my mom and sister and it wasn't busy. There were plenty of chairs and tables indoors. There was a lot of light coming in through the big windows which I liked! I ordered the seafood lobster hot pot, and it was amazing! This was my first time visiting Tasty Pot. I was curious to try it when it first opened, but after looking at the menu, I decided it didn't really appeal to me. However, tonight we were looking to try someplace new and casual, so we decided to give it a try. It is very casual inside - open space with several tables and booths. You order on your phone and they bring it out to you. The employees were friendly and helpful. My son ordered the fried lobster balls, and I ordered the sizzling beef plate with udon noodles and mushroom sauce. My husband had the sichuan flavor hot soup. The lobster balls tasted a bit rubbery, like imitation crabmeat. My sizzling beef was actually pretty good, but a little too salty for my liking. My husband was enjoying his soup at first, but halfway through eating it, he too, felt it was overly salty and could not finish it. I also ordered a peach green tea which I really liked. My son had a honeydew slush which I took a sip of and thought it was pretty good, but my son didn't care for it. Prices were reasonable, and service was good. Although we didn't love our meal, we decided we were glad we finally tried Tasty Pot. I could see why some people like it, but it just wasn't for us. read more

Cute place with excellent service and hotpot! I've been to the ontario location but this location had different items and appetizers! I ended up sharing the beef miso hotpot which had excellent flavor and was full of vegetables, fish cakes, seafood, and mushrooms! The staff was very quick and helpful. Inside is clean and there are quite a few tables. It was pretty empty when we arrived. Food came out shortly after we ordered and its alot of food. Totally worth every penny! First thought upon walking in was, wow it's so clean, trust me even the bathroom was super clean, decked out in gold and smells good too. I like the minimal, not over decorated but also Instagram-able decor they have going on. The wings on the wall were definitely a cute touch! If you had to wait for a table, can have a photo shoot here haha The service was great and ordering can be done on your phone or in person. I love the fact that you can customize anything you want and can do it all on your phone without someone standing there hovering over you! My sister, of course, had a field day with the customization of her order. She is a customizing queen lol The food came out fast, so if you're starving, no worries! We started with popcorn chicken and calamari, love the Taiwanese flavor and so crunchy. The hot pots came out, it's not as deep as it looks but you see how packed it is in the bowl of broth. I didn't taste all the flavors but I did taste the Sichuan flavor hot soup. It does have the hot Sichuan flavor, very comforting, esp on a cold night. I ordered the sizzling plate for myself and chose udon noodles. I didn't realize you can also choose a sauce flavor so I didn't have any, but it was still good without it. Just make sure to stir your plate or it will burn the bottom since it's so hot. I also would also like to say, I am a water snob and their drinking water was so good! I appreciate the filtered water so much. Give this place a try if you're still thinking about it! The price is also reasonable. read more

Tasty Pot Temecula is my first experience with the Tasty Pot franchise, and I would say it was a 3/5 for the food, bumped up to a 4/5 because customer service was fantastic. I wished there was more complexity to their broth base like Happy AYCE Hot Pot 开心火锅 or Dolar Shop in Bellevue, but their tomato broth was savory enough to provide satisfaction to the meal. A unique thing about Tasty Pot was that the soups already comes with vegetables, meats, and other toppings included and fully cooked. I think that's both a pro and a con, because I actually like the act of cooking my own toppings in the soup itself; but, the plus side is that you can eat right away! Pros: - The pricing is affordable in today's economy:$18.95-21.95 for hot pot is hard to come by nowadays. - Complimentary broth refills - Courteous and friendly staff Cons: - Broths are somewhat one-note I think it's great we have a hot pot option here in Temecula now. Nice restaurant but kind of in a bad location, I feel like they'd do a lot better somewhere with a little more people traffic, but that just means there's tons of parking and no wait You order completely on your phone through a QR code which is convenient but it seems to be a little didficult for the elderly population of Temecula who want to try it out sichuan hot pot 7.5/10 good variety of toppings, napa cabbage was way too chopped up tho so it got overcooked real fast and was in tiny bits, beef was kind of dry already once it came out, broth is a little bland but their redemption was in their sauces! loved the soy garlic milk creme wintermelon tea 7/10 tasted really good at first but after a while for some reason it really just tasted like brown sugar milk? idk, not bad but not what I was hoping for LOL read more

Love going to Tasty Pot! One of my favorite Hot Pot in Temecula! I've been here before, when it first opened and more times thereafter... They have tons of great selections to choose from. All pots come with a delicious broth plus your choice of seafood, meats, and veggies etc. They do have preset choices. But if you're picky or have special diet/allergies, you can request certain foods to be removed or added... They also have several options of appetizers and other food entree to choose from. One of my Twins favorite are the Popcorn Chicken and Dumplings. Tonight, it was just my husband and I, since our Twins have plans with their friends. We felt like empty nesters but realize it's gonna be like this once they go to college. So we will just enjoy our evening, even though we miss them terribly. Yet, due to the nice chilly weather and cold night, this hit the spot and perfect for a good bowl of hot soup to warm one's bellies. As a creature of habit, I always like to order the Taiwanese Supreme Spicy Hot Soup. It's a combo of seafood, meats and veggies. One thing you need to know about this place? You basically use your camera and order through a QR Code. I usually like to make it Flaming Spicy or Max Spicy. I also would add on the Soybean Chili Sauce to create even more flavors, to my already scrumptious Hot Pot. What's nice? If you go during lunch time? You get free Green or Black Tea. Since we went for dinner? My husband ordered a Blended Taro Drink and I ordered a Slushy Lychee Drink with Green Apple Jelly. Our drinks were quite refreshing and tasty. Both my husband and I ended up ordering the same Hot Pot, except he got it with a side of rice and I got the noodles. They usually offer it as an additional item to complement your Soup. The flaming pot was over boiling, since I like my soup temperature hot. It ended up spilling over to the table, but the waiter was on top of it. He came by with extra napkins, so I can soak up the spilled broth. The waiter and waitress were super helpful in explaining how to order, if it's your first time. They also offer to add more soup broth, if your pot dried out and you wanted more liquids. They had somewhat of a full house but managed to come by and offer any assistance, if we needed anything, so that was a nice added touch. The venue and decor is simplistic and clean. They have a nice giant angel wings for photo ups. Which is fun to do. I see tons of families and friends coming together to experience this wonderful place to eat at. I thought it was cute, because I saw a mother and son date night. I use to take my twins out and enjoy them all to myself, so it definitely brought back sweet memories. If you are in the mood for tasty hot pot? You've come to the right place. Enjoy. read more

I took my girl here for her birthday lunch. We were seated right away, and there were about 4 parties when we arrived around 1:15 pm. I'm glad we missed the lunch rush because we needed to take care of business! I love how bright it is inside because of all of the windows. We ordered the Steamed & Fried Dumplings, Popcorn Chicken, #4 Curry Flavor Hot Soup and the #2 Lamb Hot Soup, both with no spice. Everything came out super fresh and hot. The bowls come to you sitting on a flame that you can control with a little lever on the side. We loved everything from start to finish and because the portions are big, we took doggy bags home. "Bubbles" and his staff are on it! They're attentive and helped us when we needed stuff like utensils, more water, etc. This place will be poppin' come fall weather, so anticipate the crowds. My suggestion is to come after the lunch crowd, around 1:30 for lunch. The prices are very reasonable and I like that they also offer boba drinks! Maybe I'll get one next time.
