I think the prices were a bit high but when the food came, I think the quality and quantity made up for it. The hot pot comes with a variety of veggies, proteins, and mushrooms. There are containers of sauces and spices at each table so you can add more flavor. The sizzling plate was also pretty good. You need to cook the meat yourself so it's up to you to make sure it's cooked. We also got the calamari appetizer. It was gooddd. It wasn't dry or old, the crunch was crunchy and it was seasoned well. We also got the boba in the menu. Some of the drinks aren't very customizable and some are. It was overall pretty good. We recently ate at Tasty pot as part of yelp elite week. We ordered all vegetarian items on their menu. They have minimal vegetarian options. We got spicy fermented tofu, their sizzling plate( which generally has beef but they accommodated that for us), and veggie hot pot and a boba. The spicy fermented tofu came first and it was extremely stinky (we could barely eat 1 piece) and not spicy at all and almost made me lose my appetite for everything coming next. The sizzling plate was average, might taste better with their beef version but I wouldn't know. The veggie hotpot was good. We got it very spicy and it tasted good, had a decent amount of veggies in it. That was one dish we finished entirely. We also got a mango green tea and peach black tea which were good. My favorite spot to go to when my family and I are craving hot pot/soup! The service was great, very accommodating, kind, and fast service. I appreciated that the workers checked on us often, and brought us more broth and togo containers. The wife and I went for the elite event. Got there right at 5 when they opened. I love the modern look of the restaurant compared to another location we have been to. They had tvs playing some sports. We were told we can order an appetizer, sizzling plate, hot pot and 2 drinks. We got the takoyaki, beef with rice sizzling and Japanese miso hot soup. Food came out pretty quick. Takoyaki was very flavorful. Miso soup was a bit of a let down. Didn't taste like much. I needed to add some extra side ingredients to my liking. But I believe it's due to it being miso and I usually get something else. Sizzling plate was good after mixing the ingredients. Hot pot is always a good idea on a cold day. I came here for lunch with coworkers. I don't think they really take reservations so come at opening time if you plan on coming with a large group. Ordering is a breeze through a QR code. The staff are pretty friendly and efficient here. They set tables up quickly and being out free green tea. The tea came lightly sweetened which was a nice surprise. I like how you are able to customize your hot pots here. Hot pots are roughly $18 each and are individual portions. You can indicate what toppings you don't want and you have the option of rice or vermicelli noodles. You do need to pay extra if you want the instant ramen or additional toppings/add-ins. I ordered the kimchi dumplings hotpot at medium spicy. That was a perfect amount of spice for me and I enjoyed the toppings that came along with it. We had an option between black tea or green tea. I asked the server what his preference was, so I ended up with the green tea. It was sweet and refreshing for such a hot day. I ordered the mango slushy with lychee jelly, and we ordered the popcorn chicken as an appetizer, the Thai soup, and Beef Sizzling plate. So much food! This was our first time trying an individual hot pot place, and we were pleasantly surprised. Our group of 6 adults and 3 toddlers made a reservation for 6:30pm on a Sunday night. We were seated within 15 or so minutes after our reservation time. There's a very small handful of chairs in the front to sit in to wait, but not enough for our group, let alone the large crowd that was waiting outside. When we were seated, they had combined 4 sets of 2-person tables together. We were against a wall on one side and another 2-person table on the other however, so this became challenging situation where we wanted to keep the kids on the inside of the booth away from waiters walking around with boiling hot pots. Because of this, we struggled whenever one of the parents and kids need to come out to manage a fussy child, because everyone in the booth would have to shimmy out (including my hugely pregnant self), and we could seat only one child in a high-chair between our long row of tables and the table next to us. To be fair, I'm not sure if my friend who made the reservation made it clear that we would need high chairs for our toddlers, but if so, it would be great if they could have slightly better seating plans for these kinds of situations. We ordered on our phones, and when a few of our friends couldn't get good reception, they were unable to place an order and had to rely on the rest of us at the table to order on their behalf. I don't know if there's in-house WiFi, but that may be something worth offering if they don't already for situations like this. Food came relatively quickly, and the waitstaff generally seemed to know which add-ons belonged to which person's order. Downside was they ran out of a few items (satay sauce and beef tendons) pretty early on in the night around 7pm, so that was a bummer. Every add-on came in a separate paper cup, which seemed a little wasteful when a re-useable bowl would have done the job. Similarly, waters came in plastic cups. I do have to appreciate how they use boba cups with the plastic seals on the kid's water cups though! Despite this, my toddler figured out how to smash a hole in the top by the end of the meal, and ended up spilling the whole cup onto himself and the floor right as we were headed out the door. The staff were extraordinarily understanding and accommodating, we are so sorry for the mess!!! The food is amazing, super addicting. Nearly everyone at the table finished their food clean. I love that the hot pots are elevated, which makes eating so much easier. There's little flames underneath that keeps the soup simmering for the entirety of your meal. We showed up right when it opened at 11 am one day and it was empty the whole time we were there. They had the music really loud which made it difficult to hear each other talk. We ordered a mild miso soup and a mild beef soup. We got excited when we saw they had karaage chicken and tried to order some, but we were told it was only available at dinner. We added some dumplings to share. For a completely empty restaurant, we were surprised how hard it was to get any help. We think the waiter spent time smoking out back or something, as he stunk of cigarette smoke. We'll stick to our regular locations of Tasty Pot from here on out. read more

I ordered a beef hot soup with medium spice ($18.50) and the green tea for the lunch special. I also used the Yelp check-in for another free drink. Overall, the food was excellent. The beef hot soup itself was much deeper than I initially thought, although it was filled with more cabbage than I would have personally liked. The dipping sauces were all delicious, and my favorites were the garlic soy and soybean. The green tea was strong and complemented the beef hot soup well. My favorite topping was the tofu skin, and I think I could have gone without the taro and the tomato. There's a number of condiments/sauces such as chili oil and a Thai peanut sauce that are both delicious in the soup. Although they are meant for one person, I think I could have shared a pot with someone else (if I wasn't starving). On my own I ate as much as I could and still had leftovers. This place is not a buffet, great for light lunch and I mean light lunch because because there's not much food in a hot bowl that costs average from $19-$22. A bowl of pho would fill you up better if you're hungry and there are more meat and noodles, less expensive just different taste. The food here is Taiwanese style soup and quite tasty. We ordered the most popular which was the first one. You need a smartphone to scan the table barcode and order from there. The spicy pot can be from mild to spicy, I got the mild one. My friend made a sauce for me to dip the meats in which was delicious. There are about 4 types of sauces that you can mix according to your tastes. Normally I give 5 stars for great food, plenty portion and great services. This place only misses the portion which is not plentiful. There are many types of ingredients in this shallow bowl of hot pot, mostly cabbage, imitation crabs, meat balls, some beef slices, many of different seafood here and there. The soup is the main flavor of the bowl, to me it's a little light for my taste, flavorful but not salty enough, the meats have no flavor so must be dipped with the sauce mixed on the side. You can have vermicelli or rice with the pot, but the portion is quite skimpy that's why I was hungry leaving the place. I did like the free ice tea that comes with the meal. It was a light lunch and good lunch, but not for me next time. It's a nice place for having lunch dates because it's nice. It is pricier than Boiling Point by around $1-$2 bucks and has much less ambience but the staff and service is a lot nicer. I always get the Beef and Lamb hotpot here as well and it always hits the spot. There are tons of interesting ingredients ranging from taro pieces, to imitation crab, fish balls and so on. Tasty Pot switches up its ingredients based on location so its highly likely that you'll get something new every time you visit another location. Really good though for a lunch date as always if you're in the area. Been to Tasty Pot before but this is the first time I've been to this location. I went an hour before closing and we definitely weren't the last ones seated but all the workers seemed like they were just over it and wanted to go home, one was even limping. This place does not know what customer service is all about. We got seated quickly because it wasn't busy. You scan the QR code and place your order via mobile. I ordered the beef hot pot and my boyfriend ordered the "new" item of the beef sizzling rice (can substitute rice with udon). My hotpot never even got hot. Usually it boils and it makes for nice comfort food but the soup was lukewarm. So disgusting. The extra add-on of quail eggs that I ordered were already boiled but it was room temperature and never got hot when added to the broth. My boyfriend's sizzling plate also lacked flavor. Their sweet potato fries had some seasoning in them that made them extra sweet. And trust me, I love sweets but this one was just too much. The crispness was nice though and thankfully it didn't get soggy in the container it was in. I also ordered their Hokkaido milk tea with boba. I was given crystal boba. No communication at all whatsoever to let me know that they were out of regular boba. Crystal boba and regular boba taste different and the consistency/texture is different as well. You'd think they'd let me know so I can pick a different topping or opt for no toppings at all. I complained and ask if I could get the Crystal boba removed and they did remove it for me. The milk tea itself just taste so bad, like plain milk. It even looks like milk, the color from the picture is off. I'm a milk tea connoisseur so I can tell just by looking at it that it would taste like milk. I complained again because I'm not going to pay $6-7 for a drink I don't even like & barely drank. They came back and said they had to rebrew the tea because they were originally out of it. Again, had they communicated this with me I would have ordered another milk tea, there were a ton of options. Plus the second drink didn't look or taste much different than the first. I didn't even bother and just left it on the table. For $50, I expect better service. This place was lacking in all areas food, customer service, & cleanliness. And they start cleaning up at 9:10 even though they close at 9:30 so don't even bother coming near closing time. I came on Sunday afternoon for lunch with my bf & my nephew. One of the servers noticed my young nephew and already provided us with a separate small bowl with utensils upon seating us without us having to even ask for it. Although it was a Sunday, it wasn't busy at all & the service was quick. I was able to redeem the free drink with the yelp check in as well. The hot pots aren't as flavorful, in my opinion, as other similar Taiwanese hot pot restaurants. However, it's still pretty good & they even come around offering more broth if needed, which I don't see the other places doing. I would definitely be back because of their good service! read more
