Tastyyy The HotPot soup was so sweet & curry based. I forgot to take a picture. Service was sweet & smooth like the tea. The ambiance was nice, quant & a multi cultural dynamic which i can always appreciate & love.
First time. Tried the vegan tomato hot pot which comes bubbling red to your table so it looks like the hottest one but it's mild. kids/spice-averse could eat it. Maybe don't go with rambunctious kids/people because each person having their individual volcano is a lot. Besides choosing the soup/contents, you can add stuff but maybe don't because I was stuffed and only finished about half. You can choose between noodles or rice (try noodle next time if split hotpot with someone else). Def try the various chili sauces. Also, split 4-ways a coconut pudding that comes in a green coconut (can confirm you can scrape the green coconut pieces). That was also delish. Not fancy but seemed pretty clean. Eclectic decor but since the bubbling pots on fire is the real entertainment, who's really looking?
Tasty Point has rebranded so they have menu with more variety, and the hot pot is not their specialty anymore but still on the menu. Everything is still delicious! The egg rolls were on the house. Crispy and good. I will always come back!
I think my boyfriend and I are here literally every other week lol We love the Buy Two Get One Hot Pot specials on the weekdays! I keep saying that I need to try something other than the Taiwanese Spicy Hot Pot (never spicy enough) or the Golden Spicy Soup Beef Hot Pot (also never spicy enough) but I never do. Friends also like the Korean Army Hot Pot. There are three sauces on each table that you can add to your hot pot or on the side as a dipping sauce. The amount of ingredients aren't always consistent but you'll be full either way. The real protip is to ask for a bowl so you can pull out the ramen so it doesn't overcook! Each pot heater has a little metal tab so you can flip it over lit sterno and turn off the heat yourself (or else it burns forever and you'll never get to eat comfortably lol). Service is fast and friendly! The mango pomelo sago drink is SO GOOD and I really like the wintermelon grass jelly drink as well. Definitely take advantage of the B2G1 deal while you can! It works for to-go orders as well.
I've been wanting to try their hot pot for awhile. They have a good selection of hot pots, appetizers and desserts. My family got the Golden Spicy Soup Beef and the Herbal Hot Pot. I normally get hot pots with beef but I ordered the Coconut Cream Curry because I wanted to try the curry base and I enjoy pork slices as well. The hot pots were delicious! Although I felt like my pot was mainly cabbage packed on the bottom. The soup bases and the ingredients were pretty good. We also ordered the Super French Fries. The long fries were so fun to eat. We got the cheese, ketchup and wasabi seaweed on the side. We dipped the fries in all 3 condiments and loved it! Currently, they have a buy 2 hot pot get 1 free Monday-Friday, so I will be coming back for that!
I came here for a late lunch recently. The food took a while to come prepare and come out even though it wasn't that busy. I could tell the ingredients were fresh and the portions were generous. I didn't like the broth that much, I couldn't put my finger on what it tasted like but it was interesting. This was a decent place to dine at, I would come back occasionally but this wouldn't be on my usual rotation when I'm craving hot pot.
Tasty Point has been spot on with everything I've ordered or my friends have ordered there so far. The first time I went, I got the hot pot which was so much food that it became the next day's lunch. The side of vermicelli that came with it tipped me over the food edge but it was so good and piping hot at all times! The next time I went was for dessert. My friend and I ordered their creme brûlée and now it is my go to dessert on Park Street. That sugar crunch...makes me crave one right now. The owner convinced me to try the coconut pudding the next time I was there which I did. He told me it's one person's job to make it so it may not always be available if they sell out. If you love coconut, this is a must try. They make smooth coconut pudding and put it back in the coconut and top it with fried coconut flakes. Do you get the flakes, the pudding and can spoon out some fresh coconut from the sides and lid of the coconut. So delicious and unique! The next time my friend picked me up from the airport, we had time to make it back to Tasty Point. We both decided to try the ramen since it would be less food than the hot pot. I ordered the black garlic tonkotsu and it was delicious. So don't just go for hot pot, go for the ramen too! The restaurant is always clean and spacious. Cold water is always brought once you sit down. The only one negative I can think of is when they're cleaning tables and they use the spray bottle that smells like bleach (but it goes away quickly thankfully). The two bathrooms are clean. Street parking but it's pretty easy to find in that area.
Cute little spot in Alameda. Street parking, all metered. Can be hit or miss, also could prob park a little further down for free parking if wanted. Friendly service and big menu which was fun. They did not have beef skewers sadly so we tried the lamb. It had good seasoning and crispy but little gamey for my taste. The noodles were decent. The chicken was good! The tofu pudding wasn't too sweet but didn't have the ginger sauce I love. But still good nonetheless! They had a real big selection of drinks- I'll be back to try their other items~
Grabbed dinner here on the recommendation of a friend on a Thursday night. The name caught my eye because it sounds like they basically blended together Tasty Pot and Boiling Point to create a name. We ordered 4 items between the three of us: fries, lamb skewers, and 2 pots. I personally opted for the Chengdu hot pot which was customizable. The portions and pricing are pretty standard, but some of their pots come in a larger size that I thought was a pretty good deal and could definitely feed two people. If I hadn't had Tasty Pot (my favorite for individual hotpot) before coming here I think I would have enjoyed it a lot more, but it was just okay in comparison and I probably wouldn't return. The broth wasn't as flavorful nor as spicy as I'd like and I was underwhelmed by the other toppings and sauces. My friends seemed to enjoy the lamb skewers. We all liked the fries, they were crispy and the batter was light. Fries were served with cheese and ketchup, and tasted like potato chips. I was so amused by how long they were compared to typical fries! Service was on point, friendly and attentive. My experience wasn't bad by any means, quality was good, but there are just better options out there for hotpot. Stars mainly for the service and the fact that others I dined with seemed to really like it! I think I just prefer a broth that packs more of a punch. Giving this 3 stars because Yelp doesn't have half stars, but it was more of like a rounded up 2.5 for me.
Tried Tasty Point in Alameda and went with the large Taiwanese spicy hot pot. The broth had good spice, the toppings were plentiful, and the sauce selection made it easy to mix things up. Service was really nice, and the spot itself felt modern and well lit--great atmosphere without being too flashy. Overall, a solid hot pot experience that ranks right up there with others in the area.
I'm so happy there's an individual hot pot place in the east bay that's delicious! My favorite hotpot flavors are the laksa and the spicy lamb, I forgot the names! But you'll find it on the menu. The hotpots are super flavorful and packed with ingredients! The girls who work here are also super nice and helpful! The restaurant is also super roomy and comfortable, bathrooms are super clean and parking is easy! I love that they're doing a weekday promotion Monday to Friday buy 2 get 1 free hotpot! My family and I LOVE this spot! I hope the promotion stays for a long time :)
The food was definitely tasty, I ordered a beef pot, I think it was the Porcini hot pot, but I can't remember exactly. The service was very prompt and the waiters were very smart and made the drinks in to go cups, so we can just carry it when we leave. It was relatively tame when we arrived as it was late, but the food hits and it's tasty with the variety of ingredients. It's similar to Tasty Pot.
It was our neighbors get-together and we decided to check out Tasty Point for hotpots. Located off Park St on Santa Clara, we were able to find street parking down the block. The restaurant is bright, clean and modern and the waitress welcomed and directed us to our table of six which we had reserved. Their specialty is Hot Pot as there are 12 different choices that come in three sizes, though a couple come in large or big sizes only. For those not wanting hot pot, they also have rice and noodle, ramen and spaghetti choices. There's also appetizers, desserts and tea, yogurt and fruit drinks. For appetizer, we got the deep fried stinky tofu, since some of us never tried it. Having tried in Taiwan, these did not have a strong and pungent aroma. They were crispy and came with a side of pickled vegetables. I ordered the Porcini Hot Pot which came in a large size. It came with sliced beef, beef ball, imitation crab, fried tempura, pork fish ball, soft tofu, fried tofu skin, shitake mushrooms, king oyster mushrooms, daikon, maitake mushrooms, a wedge of corn, and Napa cabbage. The beefy broth had good flavor and there was a lot of ingredients in this bowl. Thought there was just a little too much slice Napa cabbage in it. I had a taste of the Taiwanese Braised Pork Chop Noodle dish which was served in a skillet dish. The pork chop was tender and had a nice crisp and there was a mince braised pork over the noodles as well. Thought this was tasty. Other dishes my neighbors had were the Tomato Hot Pot, Vine Pepper Hot Pot, the Chengdu Hot Pot and Tonkatsu Ramen. They enjoyed their dishes and the two who had the hot pots also commented that there was too much Napa cabbage. Our waitress was friendly from answering our menu questions through service. I've had better, but Tasty Point is a good hot pot choice in Alameda and also they have options for non-hot pot eaters.

Lmaoooo do not go here...this was the calamari for $10 by the way it had like 6 pieces. I thought it was a joke. I wanted to return it but no one ever came to check on us. We had to go to the front to pay and ask for things. Terrible service! Probably the worst hotpot place I've ever had, don't even bother wasting your money guys. read more

Tasty Point is kind of like the Taiwanese hotpot chain Tasty Pot. The menu features a selection of specialty hotpots, Taiwanese street food eats like stinky tofu, popcorn chicken, fried calamari, etc, boba/fruit teas, and desserts like tofu puddings. It's a fun place for groups as the foods are conducive to sharing. That's not to say solo diners can't enjoy the hotpots, as they can be ordered in different sizes. Parking is along the street. The interior is modern and cozy, with large photos of their specialty hotpots on the wall. Our group of 5 shared a large Korean Army Hotpot, a few appetizers like stinky tofu, fried king oyster mushrooms, curry fishballs, and a Taiwanese sausage and braised pork rice bowl. While the foods were tasty, the portions were all a bit small. The large hotpot was not large nor deep. It serves more like 2 instead of 4. That's the reason we ordered the rice bowl as an addition. The boba drinks were very good and we really enjoy the tofu pudding in a real coconut. Service was a bit lacking as our server only checked on us once the entire time, and they didn't bother to provide us with sharing plates and bowls even though they know we were dining family style. What was nice was that they gave us a few scratchers along with our bill, and we found that we won a free drink, a blind box(surprise gift), and a $1 coupon toward future purchase. Tasty Point better up their game if they want to compete with Tasty Pot. read more
Food was good but bathrooms really dirty. We were seated promptly and food was given roughly 5-10 mins after and was very delicious and fragrant. The broth was really great and the dining room was very clean. Service could have been better, we were not once checked up on nor offered napkins and water throughout the dinner. Bathrooms were disgusting and smelled like a homeless encampment and was pungent with old soaked urine. Soap dispensers on one of the bathrooms is leaking rust and is mixing with their soap turning it brown. read more
WHEN: Tue @ 7:30pm (Halloween) Stumbled upon this place for the first time after walking around for Halloween. I knew I had to check it out! I wasn't too hungry, cuz this place serves all sorts of food and a popular item seem to be the personal hotspots. But here's what I got: D10 - MANGO GI GI w/TOFU PUDDING - $6.95 Ahhhh totally hits the spot. This is exactly what I wanted. Something sweet, fruity and light with the tofu pudding! It has pieces of pomelo too which gives it a nice texture RE02 - PORK SAUSAGE w/BRAISED PORK RICE - $14.95 It's minced pork over rice with some sliced Chinese sausages! Comes with one boiled egg too! It's not the best I've had, but it's good enough! Could use a bit more flavoring, but I enjoyed it still. Wanted to order the LONG FRENCH FRIES but they were out, which is fine. There's a good amount of seating indoors and this place looks pretty new. They seem understaffed cuz one of the waiters seems to be scrambling and I was afraid he'd run into the tables! Anyhow, this place serves all the wonderful goods a Taiwanese diner would--snacks, meals, boba, dessert. I'm definitely coming back! read more
Good value, fast service hot pot place that opened up in Alameda. Came here and left in record time with coworkers (1.5hrs) for hot pot and was impressed. I got the Herbal Hotpot and it was light and refreshing. The broth was a bit lacking in flavor and not salty enough so helped myself to the sauce rack in the middle of the table. There was not enough meat but plenty of tofu which I liked anyways but something to note if you want more proteins. The pig ear appetizer we ordered needed to be cut into thinner pieces as some were so large it wouldn't fit into my mouth / too chewy at that point. Overall 3.5 stars but rounded up since we didn't try any drinks or dessert. I would be willing to come back and try to dessert menu. read more
I was craving hot pot and was happy to find a spot near me. I parked by the Citibank parking lot and thankfully my meter already had an hour on it so I just put in a few extra coins to make it an hour and a half! I loved that our server didn't need to write anything down on a pad. We ordered the beef and Tom yum. I was told I wouldn't be able to adjust my spicy level for the beef and I accepted it since it said it was already spicy. Unfortunately, my soup lacked any flavor. I had to add a bunch of sauces for it to taste like anything. It's also my fault but I asked for instant noodle halfway through my meal and it took forever because they cooked it for us, which I did appreciate but it wasn't cooked all the way and my flame had died out while waiting for it so it couldn't absorb the soup and finish cooking. I do like that they gave us extra stuff as a replacement/substitution for stuff we took out. I also blame myself for being blind lol cause I thought the pink lychee was a smoothie or slushie. But it also didn't look like the picture, I was expecting it to be a lighter pink. It also tasted okay. I did appreciate the girl server walking around offering more water and napkins, I do wish she offered more than a single napkin for the table each time. We were intrigued by the New Orleans wings, don't know what makes it New Orleans but it was probably the best part of our meal. May or may not come back, haven't decided yet. read more

The Garlic Ramen was soo good with a tender pork belly char siu. I love that their menu is pretty extensive so you can order boba, Asian desserts like tofu, durian pudding and mango sago. read more

This location is street parking, there's usually some parking on the sides but keep in mind they are metered. It's a decent sized location where we were seated right away. On a cold rainy night, there were a good amount of people. This is the type of hot pot where everyone orders and gets their own individual pots with pre-determined ingredients. We started with popcorn chicken, king oyster fried mushrooms and their super fries. The king oyster fried mushroom was amazing. The texture was like chicken and honestly I thought it was the popcorn chicken a couple of times. If you're vegetarian and want to experience popcorn chicken, this is a great alternative. Their fries were average, just abnormally long and comes with ketchup and cheese on the side. It makes me wonder if it's a big potato that they use, or if they deconstruct a regular potato to reconstruct it again as a long fry. I have 3 types of hot pot I normally get and usually places have 1 or the other, but this one had all 3: Tum Yum, Kimchi, or Korean Army Stew (I like the meats in it). The decision was hard but I decided to go with Korean Army stew like my gf suggested, and our whole table actually all ended up getting the same thing because it just sounded so good. No one wanted to budge on having a different pot on the table. The portion size was huge. We had enough to take home to have another dinner or 2. Other than finding parking, it's a pretty decent place to have dinner, especially on a cold rainy night, hotpot hits the spot. read more

Service is really good, even though this place got really busy around dinner time. I personally really like the Taiwanese spicy pot. It's spicy enough and has a great variety of ingredients. The Korean pot is also good and my friend likes it a lot. The only one I probably won't recommend is the Taiwanese stinky pot we asked for medium spicy, but it's not spicy at all as you can see in the picture. We also ordered a pink drink, which I may not recommend because it looks pretty different from the menu. It tastes not bad, but it's just not what we expected. This place is pretty clean and neat, visit here when it's not busy otherwise you may need to wait for a really long time. read more

This is a provisional 3 stars with the hope that things will improve. Friendly tips for the owners: 1. Take some time to really get the flavor and salt correct in your various broths. The beef pot base was like sugar water with just a taste of water with a hint of sweet. Very odd profile. But then the Porcini broth was so intensely salty. If the chef took a minute to taste the broths, they would see how off they all are. The Korean broth was just red paste and water which gave the broth sweetness and some spice, but not good flavor. TIP: make one great bone broth base and use that as the base for all your broths. Keeping the bases simple is best so that the customer can add various pastes themselves. 2. Don't use stock photos - make the dishes yourself and take photos of them. 3. Work on service around transitions. We got appetizers that weren't cleared before the soups; then we got desserts while the hot pots and appetizers were still all over the table. 4. The spicy beef tripe was okay - needed more spice. Better when it's super cold. 5. French Fries were just awful. Tasted nothing of potato, just overly fried pieces of...something? 6. The purple rice drink and the young coconut pudding were both wonderful. read more

Similar to tasty pot but tasty point has more variety like fries, beef skewers, popcorn chicken, and ramen just to name a few. It's nice having hot pots closer to home so I don't have to drive far. Street parking available and good luck finding a spot during busy hours. Service could be a bit better. I did have to get the attention of our server a twice. I hope their attentiveness towards costumers has improved since last time I was here. read more
Crazy slow service but was there on a Friday night. 20 minute wait with hour for the food. We were a small table of 3 and ordered the spicy Taiwanese hot pot, lamb hot pot, and pork chop rice. The spice was extreme even though we ordered mild, no one checked for water. Ordered 3 things and they still wound up missing one. The table next to us missed 3 items. I'm very certain all the soups have the same level of spiceness although they say otherwise . Luckily I have a high spice tolerance but I think the cook needs to have his tastebuds checked. read more

My take: this is a GREAT dessert / popcorn chicken spot that also sells hot pot and other foods 5 stars: The young coconut pudding!! To die for 4.5 stars: Most of the other desserts + the popcorn chicken 3 stars: Most of the hotpot options we've tried so far. They're not bad, but the broths haven't been very flavorful and it's not something I'd ever crave Seriously, check this place out primarily for some Asian dessert fixes and you won't be disappointed :) read more

Came last time and didn't like the golden spicy pot, thought it was too bland and not special. Decided to give it another try today and try the Tom yum pot instead. Much better today! Flavorful and pretty enjoyable actually. Only thing I wish they did was add some kind of meat to this pot, like pork or beef. It was all seafood which I guess is the point, but felt a little bit heavy on the fish balls haha Would come back, and definitely happy Alameda has a place like this :) read more

Solid hotspot spot! It's located in a busy area. There's a parking structure a couple blocks down that are free weekday evenings, so highly recommend going there. We got seated right away, and served right away. I like how you can control how strong the spice is in your hotpot. It tasted pretty good! Ambiance is nice. Looking forward to coming back here again. read more

The popcorn chicken was sooo good. I got a lychee drink and couldn't finish it because it tasted like perfume. The pots are big portions for 1 person, so you can split. Each pot comes with a side of rice. Popcorn chicken was great - must try! The fries did not come out looking like the picture on the advertisement, but wasn't bad. I'd still recommend the popcorn chicken more. The tom yum broth was ok. Wasn't super flavorful. Overall, it's not Boiling Point, but it does scratch an itch if you need. Some of the items are hit or miss. I would give it three stars, but the service was good and they were pretty nice, so I'd probably give it a try again. Arrived during a holiday week on a Thursday night around 6pm and luckily it wasn't too crowded yet. The staff were friendly and helpful and they were able to combine tables so our group of 6 could sit together. Less than 30 minutes later, the whole restaurant was packed with big groups! Service was fast so I was glad we didn't have to wait long for all of our orders. We ordered a bunch of items from the menu and there was a good variety of appetizers, entrees, drinks, and desserts for selection. It was a little on the pricey side but we enjoyed our meal and will likely be back! read more
Glad to see a new hot pot place in Alameda. Great for cold days. We ordered #11 to share. It was supposed to be extra large but it's not that big if you have a healthy appetite. Each soup selection comes with a specific broth. The rice was a little hard and the portion's could be bigger and have more meat. Service is good and friendly. read more
Service was quick. Staff was friendly and helpful, our server was thorough with taking the order and even made a good suggestion. Very clean, even the bathrooms. Fresh vibes. Champagne Boba Milk Tea: Cute idea. Strong tea yet sweet enough. Similar to a Vietnamese coffee. BBQ Beef: I think they were actually fried instead. Salty with a spicy kick Braised Pork Rice: Tasted like there was some alcohol included in the meat's marinade. Savory nonetheless and a nice touch with the mushroom sauce. Porcini Hot Pot: Soup slightly under seasoned. Ingredients seemed to be of higher quality compared to other sites in the same league. Coconut Pudding: Yummy! Creamy but not too sweet. A bit difficult and messy to eat because you have to scrape the coconut meat yourself. Loved the added crunch on top. read more

Food was fresh and there were lots of variety. Love the extensive menu with hot pot, small bites, dessert, drinks, etc. They have 3 dipping sauce at each table - bbq, garlic soy, and chili oil. The garlic soy was amazing! Had chunks of roasted garlic inside. I haven't had individual hot pots like this in a long time, so i'm not sure if price point has gone up (probably did) but at $20.99 it felt little pricey to me. I also got their durian tofu pudding. It was tasty and there were durian inside. Mild durian flavor, texture wasn't as silky, but i still enjoyed it. Service could use some work. The staff here is mostly young students(?) who could use more service training, such as being knowledgeable about the menu. This place is fairly new, i hope it gets better. read more
I kept saying I needed to try this place and finally did....the staff was very kind and the broth was very tasty. Yep that's the positives I got the Singapore Laksa Hot Pot which is supposed to be one of their medium spicy options. It didn't taste like there was any spice to it at all. Finally decided to try this place. It was okay.. The meat was not alot. Very little mushroom, one fish ball, 2 fish cake. Alot of napa cabbage. I was a little disappointed. The soup is salty. The fries is nothing amazing. If Tasty Point want to be leader.. They need to out do the competition. Make it a worthy $20+ hotpot and don't skimp on ingredients. This is a disappointment. I left unsatisfied and still hungry. Also, I'm not liking they add the 15% tip in the bill for you. That's not cool. read more

The idea of having your own individual hot pot is always a cool idea. We ordered the Korean army hot pot that has no size options but large. I can say it can easily feed 2 people if you add one more protein option ( we ordered an extra order of beef). The pot had ramen noodles, pork slices, fried mandu, sausage, spam, tempura shrimp or fish cake, rice cake, and lots of cabbage and zucchini. The soup base started off kind of bland, but got really rich later on as it continued to boil. The hotpot also comes with an option of vermicelli or white rice. The beef skewers were very fragrant with lots of spices like cumin and hot chili flakes. It was quite enjoyable. Meat was tender and flavorful. Our server answered all of our questions and were attentive in clearing our plates and refilling our water. The only downside is the menu. There were 3 menus to go through. 1 was the hot pot options, the 2nd was ramen, rice bowls and appetizers, and 3rd was their drinks and dessert items. At some point, it was overwhelming going through all 3 menus. Ended up not even looking at the drinks or dessert menu as the options itself is enough to feel like you're at a boba shop/ Asian milk tea place... Also- there were never any disclaimers about the automatic 15% service fee charge regardless of party size. Although I would have tipped regardless, the fact that it's just charged without any warning is a little sneaky as some people might add more tips from not seeing the add on from the bill. I'd rather the server letting us know during the beginning of the service or having a small blurb on the bottom of the menu so it doesn't take anyone by surprise. Overall the service, price, food, and ambiance were good enough to give this place another visit in the future. With some minor changes to addressing the menu and service charge, this place could easily be a 4-4.5 star place to go to if you have a hot pot crave or want something to warm you up in the winter. read more

We decided to try this new restaurant on May 23rd during its soft opening period. We were hoping that it would be a new successful local yummy restaurant. Unfortunately they set the bar so low we won't be coming back. We ordered two hot pots, one called Singapore lasa and the other vegetarian (no fish) with a tomato base. Both dishes were just average tasting without anything special about them. We did bring our extra food home only to discover that the vegetarian hotpot contained fish. Yikes! I am allergic to fish and luckily we noticed it in time. I just hope that this restaurant gets their act together before somebody receives allergies etc. On another note, the serving bowls were too small, the fresh hot pot left on our table was improperly balanced so the juices ran onto our table, even the flame wasn't properly adjusted and so the server kept coming back. Other customers nearby were complaining about their flame bring too high. The final straw was when the server dropped the to go plastic lid on the ground proceeded to pick it up and just hand it to me. No! I don't want a lid touching my food that was just lying on the dirty floor. Maybe the server thought the floor was clean? read more

My family came here based on other friends' recommendation and it's a great place for a Friday evening dinner. Great value - large portion and yummy hot pot with mix of meat, veggies, ramen, egg, etc. I ordered the Taiwan pot (see picture) with medium heat (2 peppers instead of 3) and it turned out to have more heat than I can handled. I enjoyed it nevertheless. Quick friendly service - quick turnaround time for getting the food to us. It got busy in the evening and we have to ask for more water (due to spicy soup base) which got filled quickly. I recommend the wait staff pay more attention in water refill. Good variety of food from the hotpot options, to ramen, to appetizers and desserts. We ordered D2 (Crème Brûlée) and D14 (Red bean, Boba and Durian Tofu pudding) both great and help cool down the heat. Would definitely come back and try other items on the menu. I will go for mild (medium heat was too much for me personally) or the non-spicy items. One of my family member order the non-spicy #11 and it tasted great. Re: Tipping. On the receipt, it clearly states that service charge of 15% is included and additional gratuity while appreciated is not required. (I think it would have been a bit tacky for have the wait staff to point that out every time). Given the good value of the food and the amount of preparation and quick, friendly service, I think it's reasonable to include the service charge even for small parties. I have no problem adding a little extra to show our gratitude. read more

Came back this past Thursday, everything that was confusing last time has now been improved and perfected! Waitress came by to give us vibrant , colorful laminated giant menus that were easy to understand and had photos, as well as a "crown" next to their signature dishes and hot pot. That was super helpful. The waitress explained well any questions we had and offered recommendations. I ordered the Coconut Curry Hot Pot and my friend ordered a Taiwanese Spicy Hot Pot. Both were delicious and a treat to have as leftovers later . She suggested the coconut pudding for dessert and omg it was so good! Love this place! read more

Food and service both are great at this restaurant. The waiter/waitress is taking our order and making sure our spicy level, and keeps checking our needs during our dinning. Ordered hot pot number 9 Taiwanese Spicy Hot Pot, the soup flavor is great and the spicy level just right for me! I will come back to try other items, they have different kinds of food, Appetizer, rice and noodles e, Ramen, Boba drinks and dessert, the dessert looks great, will try next time:) read more

A new option for Hot pot lovers in Alameda. The place is actually cozy with a good variety of food and drinks option. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The only drawback is the limited parking space around the restaurant. Definitely coming back since Dynasty pot closed in San Leandro. Highly recommend trying the Singapore Laksa Hot pot and the drinks. Very cute drink presention served in a bucket like wine read more

So happy that an individual hot pot place opened up in Alameda. Now I don't have to drive to Berkeley or Fremont for hot pot. I think I might like Tasty Point more than Tasty Pot. I usually get the Tom Yum Shrimp pot with a coke. Let me tell you this.. they are always consistent on the amount of shrimp (3) and mussels (2) that are in the pot. All the appetizers that I've ordered did not disappoint, the fried calamari came with sweet and sour sauce in this little can with a newspaper lining. Kind of cute. IMO their super French fries are the best out of the all the appetizers. They're extremely long and you can dip it in cheese sauce. I always wanted to try their mochi with peanuts but never did, maybe next time.. If you're too lazy to speak to a waitress, you can scan the QR code on the table and order thru your phone. read more
