While visiting Alameda Brewing, I was hungry for dinner. They don't have their own menu, but partner with Monkey King next door. You order there, and you can eat at the brewery. I was craving something more filling so I got a chicken fried rice, that was super flavorful. Portions are large for the price as well. They have a large menu. The workers were very friendly and made ordering simple; food is ready quickly too. They have their own seating as well, plus some in the shared mall area.

My relatives were in town so we stopped at the Alameda Brewery for drinks and order food from Monkey King next door. We ordered General Zhou's wings, green beans with tofu, crab fried rice and garlic noodles. We shared these 4 dishes and all of our food was great! We ate it so fast I forgot to snap a picture, next time because

Cajun rice was really good! Cajun noodles were well liked too. Dry fried ribs are different than they used to be. They were soft this time - not crunchy, and even though I requested extra chopped jalapeños and garlic (I think) I didn't receive it. The garlic isn't pungent or flavorful which was disappointing. I might try the salt and pepper chicken wings next time. Overall not a bad dining experience.

Food is great service is great. I forgot the man who helped me. It was a Hispanic heavyset man, but he's so funny and he suggested his sauce that was amazing and the service is good.

The food here is really good. So next time I'd order to-go. We got the Mongolian Beef noodles & the ABC wings, both were amazing, not greasy or too salty. We came in the early afternoon and the music playing was so loud we could barely hear the person taking our order. The staff was also not the friendliest to deal with.

My girlfriend is brought to eat there. This is the next day.

Well although there has been a few Administration and management changes in the way the restaurant operates now. The food is still on point ! We awaited for a waiter for the longest but now you have to go up to the cash register first and make your order and pay for it then sit down at a table. I recommend everything on this menu is soooo food. I usually get the crab fried rice honey walnut prawns and chicken pepper wings. We always get a table soread and pig out for hours!

This is a small restaurant located in downtown Alameda. The menu is eclectic, with a mix of Asian-inspired and Southern comfort dishes. You'll find everything from Korean gochujang wings and kimchi fried rice to Filipino pork lumpia and homemade gumbo. We tried the lemon pepper boneless chicken with fries, which came out to about $16 with tax. The chicken was flavorful, tender, and well-seasoned, and the fries reminded me a bit of McDonald's--though I wish they had been crispier. Next time I might ask if they can make them extra crispy. The portions were solid, and overall it felt like a good value. The indoor dining area is very casual with plenty of seating, and there's also a covered outdoor patio with heat lamps and string lights--perfect for chillier nights. It's right across from Alameda Island Brewing Company, so it's easy to grab a beer before or after your meal. There's also an ice cream shop attached, which I didn't try this time, but it's nice to have the option. Overall, I'd recommend checking it out if you're in the area. I'd come back to try more dishes.

AMAZING!!!!!!!!! I took my grandma to eat here for lunch the other day and it was amazing . I've been here before at the other location , but it was closed so we went to this one. We ordered the food and was suggested to order our to - go food after we eat because it was all going to come out at once. So that was helpful. No longer than 7 minutes later the lumpia had came out fresh and hot. Then the food came out right after. The only bad thing was that is was like cafeteria style where they serve the food then if you need extra stuff you have to get there attention and see if they come or keep getting up and asking for things. Other than that the food was great nice and hot. I got new things to try and they were really really good. We also got food to go for my mother who wasn't there with us. 10/10 definitely recommend

Ordered takeout and was extremely disappointed. I ordered wings - lemon pepper flavored and added a side of fries and a side of ranch. Wings were crispy but it was extremely salty. It tasted like it was drenched in salt. The fries were limp and undercooked. These fries probably were sitting out for awhile. The ranch was additional cost and it was the most watered down ranch I ever tasted. I could have bought a bottle or ranch at Safeway and it would have been better. Ambiance inside is clean and had an ice cream/gelato area. Service is quick. Upon arrival my order was ready.

Eh. The food wasn't impressive but the atmosphere is clutch. I haven't been to the OG location in years. Last I remember the chicken and fries were delicious. Going off of memory, the food doesn't taste the same. The place wasn't too full. You order at the register then grab your seat. I received my order almost immediately. It was piping hot. The presentation is nice. Lots of garlic and some jalapeños. Unfortunately, it had no flavor. In my opinion of course. I would still recommend this place though. It's a nice chill place to hang out, chit chat and watch the game whilst plenty affordable food options Side note: They also sell gelato

The staff was cordial and friendly, and the chicken-themed decor, charming. Now it IS a chicken joint, the go-to chicken spot for my full carnivore friend. He loves them for their chicken, their inexpensive menu and their large portions. I'm mostly pescatarian, though I do sometimes cheat with bacon. (I always feel SO guilty afterwards too!) I ordered the honey mustard salad with bacon and no chicken. My friend ordered the chicken Mac n cheese and tater tots. The bill came up to $30, and the portions were good on on the salad, GREAT on the tater tots and decent on the chicken mac. I can't speak personally on the chicken but my friend says it's amazing. I tasted some of his Mac n cheese with no chicken, and it was really good and flavorful, nice and cheesy. I tasted his tater tots. They were plentiful, well-seasoned and fried to golden perfection, with a nice crunch. I ate all of my salad. My friend couldn't finish his chicken Mac or his tater tots and was happy to be able to take them to go for another meal. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this place.

I would say the chicken they use for…read morethe sandwiches...and probably the strips....and probably the salad, is actually really good. It was hot and thick and juicy when it came out. The fries were decent, but likely just some standard frozen fries. The ranch was also really good, but $.50 each small sized cup. My biggest gripe was the service and the state of the restaurant. In the booth we sat in there was an electrical outlet is hanging out of the wall and the booths are in need of cleaning. We had to use the bathroom, and the soap was out. The staff member brought a new one, but didn't know how to install it so it just sat on top of paper towels. Not a huge deal but bruh, figure it out. The guy was nice enough, but just sat and watched his phone when no one was at counter. There was also another guy, maybe from the kitchen (?) hanging out behind the counter sometimes as well. All while tables needed wiping, the bus tub was FULL with dishes, or either of them could have tried to get the soap installed. If there was no one at counter or food to cook it was stand around and stare at our phones. It's just sad Just a subpar experience for as much as food costs these days. Train the staff to stay busy and know how to bus tables and clean. And if you ever order the BLT chicken sandwich make sure to ask for no BBQ sauce. Yuk.

I love the food over there and I had the advantage of tasting it homemade so when I go to restaurants here I have a little bit more of an educated pallet. The menu is offering quite a few things that I would've liked to have tried, but there will be more visits in the future. So I got my order. I looked at it. The presentation was very nice. Everyone at the table shared with they were eating and I really enjoyed my experience here. I recommend this place to all who appreciate food from this part of the world. Do you like the funk?…read more Our server explained to us the Lao version is more funky and fermented, while the Thai version is more mellow. We went with the Lao version. The Thai iced coffee was delicious and strong! As it should be. It did give me the jitters though because I'm a weak sauce. We were a party of ten and I was able to make rezzies via phone for a Friday evening at 6:30pm no problem about a week beforehand. The kiddos ordered à la carte, and five of us adults had the following: - BMV ultimate papaya platter with Lao sausage, angel wings and crispy pork. Crispy pork was legit, papaya salad definitely had that extra funk. The angel wings were crispy and meaty and my friends loved the Lao sausage. One even said "it's like tom yum soup in a sausage". It was very lemongrass forward which is not my thing, but that's my problem. I feel we could have ordered à la carte and that would have been a better deal than $75 for the platter. Some of it was fluff like the cabbage, rice and pork rinds. - Khao soy soup: Fiancé thought it would be creamy and coconut-y like the Thai version but it wasn't. I did enjoy the flat noodles but they were all stuck together. - Pia pla ka pow (fish with basil): Good one. The fish was moist and flavorful. The veggies were al dente and delicious too. - Sakoo: Unique! I enjoyed the chewy mochi exterior and the savory ground pork filling. It needed a sauce. I just used the chili sauce that was on the party platter. - Laab Gai: This fell flat for me. I'm not a huge fan of organs though. - Nam khao fried rice: One of our favorites! The crispy pieces really made this dish. Would definitely order this again. - Mango sticky rice: Served warm. Very sweet mango! - Purple rice with egg custard: Also served warm. This was ok. - Side of rice: HUGE serving! Unfortunately it was clumpy and hard, which means old. Street parking only. Get the nam khao and mango sticky rice!
