Dungeness crab in Steph Curry sauce
    Billy L.

Hang Ten is easily one of my top three Asian style crab boil spots. My other two favorites are Lemon Pepper in Hayward and Claw Shack in San Jose, but Hang Ten definitely holds its own. My go-to order here is the Dungeness crab with the Steph Curry sauce. It has this Thai yellow curry flavor that's super unique and really tasty. I usually go for spicy, which has a nice kick, but this time I tried extra spicy and it was still manageable in a good way. One thing I really like about Hang Ten is that their sauces are thick enough to actually cling to the seafood, which makes every bite flavorful. The only downside is that out of my top three spots, this one has the oiliest sauce. It's a bit heavy and can leave you feeling kind of weighed down afterwards. I wish it was more like Lemon Pepper, where you barely taste any oil or butter. Still, that Steph Curry sauce flavor keeps me coming back. Their garlic noodles are also really solid, probably my second favorite anywhere. They've got great umami flavor without being too oyster sauce heavy, just garlicky with a touch of sweetness. The only bummer is that they used to have a rewards system, and when I tried giving my number yesterday, they said the company that ran it shut down, so all my saved points are gone. That was disappointing. Overall, Hang Ten is still a great spot for flavorful seafood boils, but now that I've discovered Lemon Pepper, I'll probably come here a little less often.

What an amazing experience we had at Hang Ten Boiler! We came out for a Halloween Market and decided to grab lunch after stumbling upon this place, we walked by and couldn't resist the garlicky, buttery cajun notes wafting in the air. Small hole-in-the-wall type of interior with lots of sports decor and a cozy dining area with several wooden dining tables. They had a couple televisions playing varying sports channels , I could see this as a place to hang out and watch a game if sports is your kind of thing. Upon arrival we were seated within minutes. Our waitress was friendly and attentive throughout our luncheon, and even helped us decide which flavor to go with for our shrimp. We decided on the curry sauce, and we were so happy we did. I'm a sauce person and this is one of the most unique flavor profiles I've ever had for a seafood boil! We picked the medium spice flavor for our shrimp and it was just right, next time we would go spicier. Other highlights of our meal included the hang ten fries, tender bites of savory and smokey meat on top of fries, da dub basket, with fried shrimp, fried catfish, and fried oyster, we upgraded the side to garlic noodles. The breading was perfect, not too thick, slightly crispy and the seafood was juicy on the inside. We were super impressed by the food and cannot wait to go back!

Food was sooooo bomb. The seasoning if the hang ten signature sauce was very flavorful.

Our friends were visiting and wanted to have lunch here. I've known about Hang Ten but didn't know that they offered a Hawaiian menu and not just a Cajun seafood menu, which is not a preference of mine. Lot of sports décors on the wall and I knew this was the home of "We Believe" for you Warrior fans. Arriving at 12:30 on a Thursday, there were about three tables of diners, but there were a bunch of students from the Alameda High ordering lunch with a couple dining in. We were promptly seated and we checked out menu and placed our order. Lumpia - ten pieces of homemade lumpias to an order with sweet chili dipping sauce Garlic Fries - thin fries in a garlic sauce Garlic Noodles - a large portion. This was so tasty. Would definitely order again. Katsu Chicken with mac salad and broccoli - Chicken was moist and had a nice crispy batter Kalbi ribs with mac salad - Ribs were tender and good portion. Janelle's Loco Moco with broccoli - only disappointment. The patties were over cooked as they were tough. Definitely had better loco mocos. Overall, we had a good experience. Friendly service and good food at reasonable prices.

Came here ready for a seafood boil and it was way better than I expected! I came in a group of 4, where we split the Hang Ten fries, two people ordered individual plates, and I shared Jordan's combo with one other person. The Hang Ten fries were deep fried to perfection and the kalua pork was salty and tender. They give you a big squeeze bottle of aioli sauce if you want more too. The portions for all of the entrees were MASSIVE! The Jordan's combo could definitely fill more than two people and you'd have leftovers to take home! I had it with the Hang Ten (Cajun) flavor and medium spicy. It was so delicious and spicier than I expected! It was even spicier and more flavorful the next day as leftovers. Those that ordered the entrees had a good portioned meal for another day. Service was fast and the market price for the Jordan's combo was ~$55 when I went.

My mom was craving hang ten so I called for an order of one pound shrimp, medium spicy, hang ten flavor. It was ready super quick within ten minutes. I got there and realize they were prepping for closing. Staff were still super nice even though I know they just want to close up and go home. Very sweet staff. I went home to bring my mom the shrimp. She loved it. Perfect spice level we chose. My mom finished her meal and wanted more already haha

Hang Ten is delish! Hang Ten Boiler is a lively restaurant with great food. Their portions are large and food is super flavorful. The shrimp, mussels, and clams are super plump and juicy! Their hard boiled eggs, potatoes, and sausages are pretty large which justifies their higher-than-average additional cost. I love love love the Steph Curry and Hang Ten sauces - their flavor profiles are super unique and unlike any other I've had at a seafood boil restaurant. The drinks, however, are pricey (sodas are sold by the can with no refills). Hang Ten is a hip spot. Like many other Cajun/seafood boil places, there are signatures on the walls and good music playing. It can get a bit rowdy, especially on Warriors game nights. This makes it a super fun spot though and a must-be location for good dinner and rooting for the team. The service is iffy. Sometimes we are seated and served quickly with zero complaint. Other times, we end up waiting for over 20 minutes for a water refill or a request for lemons, even on a non-busy night. The wait-staff are truly either phenomenal or grumpy. The majority of the time though, we are served well. I definitely recommend Hand Ten!

If you're craving some real-deal Cajun food, hang ten is the spot. From the moment you step in, you're greeted by the rich, spicy smells of gumbo, jambalaya, and crawfish. The vibe is laid-back and fun, with a touch of New Orleans charm mix with a lot of Bay Area sport culture. Food: I went with the classic Bay Area special - garlic noodles, and wow--it did not disappoint. Also got the shrimp and crayfish. The shrimp were perfectly seasoned, with just the right amount of heat. The crayfish were steamed thoroughly, and they soaked up all the delicious sauce. The house special sauce is different, it has a curry based to it and not alike any other Cajun style resturaunt Service: The staff here is super friendly and really knowledgeable about the menu. Our server gave some great recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed without hovering. The food came out pretty quickly too, which was awesome. Vibe: The place has a cozy, down-home feel to it, with Bay Area decor that makes it feel like you're dining right in the heart of the bay. The music adds to the atmosphere, but it's not so loud that you can't carry on a conversation. It's the perfect place for a casual night out with friends or a date night if you're in the mood for something a little different. It's got great food, a fun atmosphere, and the kind of comfort you want when you're in the mood for bold flavors and good vibes.

It was the middle of the day and there was only a few people there. The atmosphere was cool and the service matched the vibe. I've heard about this place awhile back and wanted to try as I love some good Hawaiian food. Well!! The food was just okay.

Met up with a friend for dinner. It was a spontaneous evening and we came in with an appetite. We ordered the Dungeness crab, shrimp and corn with garlic noodles. Oh so damn good, I could dunk my face in it and drink it! We got down and dirty- but with gloves and bibs! There was no cracker for the crab, so we ended up cracking the crabs against the table. Yummy!!! Service was fast and friendly!

The Food is sooo fresh! Totally recommend this place! It has so many options to choose from! Even if you don't or can't eat seafood, you'll find a dish you won't be disappointed with! Nice area here to take a walk after eating. Highly recommended! Will be back for sure!

My friend told me she was coming here once a week so I had to stop by! We ordered 2lb of shrimp with the hang ten seasoning, garlic noodles, cajun fries, and a side of rice. Service was really good here and it was busy on a Thursday night! Shrimp - We ordered head on and it was fun putting in the work to peel them! The hang ten seasoning was really good and my friend was making little rice balls to dip into the sauce. So good! This place also provides a bib and gloves, but the gloves were a little too thin. Garlic Noodles - Garlic noodles were good - I was also dipping this in the shrimp sauce! My friend who always orders garlic noodles gives these a 8/10. Cajun Fries - The fries could have used more seasoning but the texture was good.

Ordering the garlic shrimp and bbq beef with half katsu and half teriyaki sauce was recommended, so I decided to give it a try after looking up the taste of katsu sauce. I don't eat a lot of chicken katsu, so I knew it was a thicker sauce but couldn't remember the taste. Glad I chose what was recommended. When my order arrived I was pleased with the amount of food having not eaten all day. If I didn't have the sauces to complement the garlic shrimp and bbq beef, I'm also sure I would have been fine. My plate was evidently seasoned. Everything on my plate was delicious except for the macaroni salad. I used to love that as a side whenever I'd get Hawaiian bbq, which is rare. I'm usually craving a lot of meat whenever I order any bbq, but the macaroni salad from various places has stood out to me over the years. Not anymore. It was dull in taste, lacked creaminess, and tasted like the small amount sugar used in a batch probably wasn't added at all. Maybe they don't add that to their own recipe but some things were missing and I can't put my finger on it. I'm giving em four stars because my plate was so good and so were the crab rangoons. I'd have replaced my macaroni salad with more vegetables if I'd known it wasn't going to taste like much. I guess the saying's true here - your side dish shouldn't be better than your main dish. That said, I'd order from here again. There was more than enough sauce in the bag for both of my items so they get points for that - two teriyaki cups and one katsu sauce + 3 sweet & sour sauces for my crab rangoons. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and there wasn't a whole lot of fat on my beef, making it an easy eat that chewing through fat could never be.

Sometimes, it's 420 and you have an insatiable desire for meat. Sometimes it's not 420 but you…read morestill wanna go in some meat. Here's where you can do that, at great value imo for $44 pp. I come in every other month or so for that AYCE $44 dinner and really enjoy the Bulgogi and the LA beef style short rib, which you cook yourself. Additionally, they have a wide variety of sides you can order as well. My favorite is the kimchi soup, which is DELICIOUS, as well as their house boneless fried chicken. Alyssa just put me on the radish wraps, so I like to go back-and-forth between those and the lettuce wraps with the meat. Don't sleep on the cheese corn either! With all the sides, I really do $44 is a good deal. You order at a little kiosk at your table, but there's also servers who can help you, so it's nice to have both option options. It can get pretty busy here on weekends but on weekdays it's really chill so I usually come on weekdays. Honestly I'm in bed rotting with no food or water in my system and this sounds soooo good. It truly does fulfill the craving!

Food quality, service, cleanliness, and ambiance all exceeded my expectations; I haven't checked ALL of those boxes at any other KBBQ spot in the Bay Area. The manager (I think his name was Eddy) and his crew were beyond accommodating. Check this place out--it's a must!

First things first, the drinks here are absolutely outstanding. It was great to go to one of the…read morefirst tiki bars in the US and to try so many different cocktails. They're about $16 a cocktail which isn't terrible, but if you are drinking and dining you'll run up a pretty tab. It's also not in a part of the city that you'll be able to take public transit to, so make sure you have a DD or an uber ready. The food was good, but not exquisite. I liked the Maui Wowie shrimp a lot, and would probably try something more novel instead of chicken next time. The artisanal love is definitely poured into the drinks. Overall, this was a fairly expensive date night. The bartenders were lovely, and although the place was full when we got there around 6:30 the crowd thinned out as the night progressed. It's the kind of place you either have to get reservations for or be comfortable waiting.

It sits on the beautiful Emeryville Marina. It's an amazing piece of real estate, right on the water. The service here is decent, but nothing special. Everyone seems to have worked there for quite some time. There wasn't a lot of enthusiasm in the service, but they tolerated my questions. Parking is easy. There's a parking lot right out front.
