    HH shrimp and crawfish

We love their happy hour menu! Such a good deal from 3pm to 6 pm. Came back two weeks in a row because we were addicted! The shrimps are huge, crawfish I believe is frozen but still tastes good and good quality! I love their rockin sauce (everything combined) in hot. If you like spicy I think hot or extra hot is doable. It's not that spicy but their sauce is the best part. Service is very friendly and food comes out quick! Would definitely recommend.

I always get the shrimp with the head on and white rice. It's a simple meal with a lot of flavor. I love getting the head on because it's bursting with flavor. The customer service is okay and the location is a short distance from the beautiful Lake Merritt.

Best service and yummy seafood! When I'm in Oakland, I always try to hit this spot up...

I came here with my family to celebrate my son's graduation and had an overall good experience. I ordered prawns with corn and thought the flavor was good. The prawns had an excellent texture, a really nice bite. The spice level was right on point, not mild but just enough kick to wake up my senses. I tried my niece's garlic noodles and thought they were good. I don't like that everything was individual, I would've liked combination options. Our server was incredible, she was attentive with a great attitude.

Literally my favorite place ever! The amount of times I have been to The Rockin' Crawfish or had it delivered is actually insane - I love this place. They use live crawfish in their seafood boils so they are incredibly fresh, sweet and juicy. You know the crawfish is good when you can easily pull the vein out of the tail! My friends and I always order pounds upon pounds of crawfish because it's just that good. All their seafood tastes super fresh and the Rockin' Combo sauce is very flavorful. When eating in-person, the calamari rings are a must-buy - they are perfectly flavorful and crisp. Their saketinis are also great and really have a kick to them. The staff is all so kind and quick. Everyone working there is young and hip, and it really shows through the vibe of the restaurant. Like many seafood boil restaurants, all the walls are autographed and drawn on. If you were to close your eyes, you would think you were in a nightclub. The music is always blasting, no matter what time of day it is. Sometimes it is loud enough where you cannot hear the person sitting across from you but regardless, it is a super fun vibe. The Rockin' Crawfish has literally never missed.

The service was quick and food was very tasty! I enjoyed their happy hour menu, I feel like it was worth the price for happy hour apps and deals. I got 1b of crawfish on top of the half pound of clams and shrimp. I felt like the sauce was good but it didn't soak enough into the seafood as I hoped. The vibe is super chill and the staff is very nice!

Came to Oakland to visit a friend, and she took me to her go to spot for Cajun seafood- Rockin' Crawfish. Now I see why she loves it! The food here is delicious and exactly what you'd want from a seafood boil spot: fresh, flavorful, and great overall We went all in and got fresh crawfish (with sausage, corn and potatoes), raw oysters, cold micheladas, garlic noodles, and fried oysters--everything was CHEF'S KISS. A major highlight was getting to try a new menu item (not sure if it's officially on the menu yet), which was raw oysters topped with a cucumber sauce with ponzu. Super refreshing and a great contrast to the briny oysters. Now let's talk about the sauce... the sauce was sooo good paired with the seafood combo that we got. It complimented everything and I could literally eat the sauce mixed with the garlic noodles or some rice. Highly recommend getting the Rockin' combo sauce - we ordered a medium because my friend can't handle spice too well but I'm definitely coming back to try it spicer next time. There's plenty of seating and space, making it a comfortable spot to enjoy a seafood feast. Service was fast, friendly, and accommodating, which is always a plus when you're dealing with messy, hands on eating. Would absolutely come back--great food and friendly service.

I love this place. The food is great. The service is pretty good. The ambience is as advertised, Rockin'! My personal favorite is the lychee martini with a bag of shrimp, add corn and sausage, with a side of rice. Come hungry & thirsty.

There are literally no good seafood boils in SF, so we had to make the trip to Oakland and check out Rockin Crawfish! We haven't been here in years, but wanted a taste of nostalgia! KO was our designated point person and he was so helpful, fun, and efficient! He explained how much food he would recommend a group of 4 to order, continued to check in on us, and gave us great friendly banter! He honestly really made the experience for us and we will definitely be coming back! Food was filling and delicious.

Took my bf here for the first time and he's accustomed to eating fresh, huge, juicy crawfish so I knew he would give an honest review. He LOVED it... "greatest seafood boil I've ever been to" It wasn't just the food, they had everything though of. From the black gloves instead of the clear ones that are so loose, to giving us TONS of lemons compared to other places where we always had to ask for more. We even asked if we could change the tv to watch the playoffs and they willingly did it. The food came out with reasonable time, and the music was so fun. Think current hiphop, r&b, and throwbacks. Its family friendly still, they get packed after 6pm. We went on a Saturday around 4:30-5 and it was empty but we saw the crowd as the night went on. Parking is the only hard find, but I would honestly just park anywhere on the street and make the walk. So worth it.

Solid food and service! Kid-friendly with a casual atmosphere (hip hop/R&B music playing in the background and TVs featuring sports). Clean and well-stocked bathroom. The parking lot here is small (shared with the laundromat next door) and there's rarely any street parking available, so you might have to park in the grocery lot down the block.

I was craving a seafood boil and this absolutely hit the spot. We ordered the cross cut fries (super crispy and flavorful) as well as a pound of shrimp, a pound of mussels, corn, sausage and potatoes. I also got a refreshing Arnold Palmer that comes with free refills! I will definitely be going back! The service was kind and quick! I had left my bag in the store and they ran out to give it to me! The restaurant has the coolest vibes and although a small hole in the wall, an amazing place to grab a bite!

I've been craving crawfish boil so we decided to stop by for dinner on a Tuesday night. Parking lot is very small so we parked on the street. There were only two other tables and some To-go orders. The place looked cool and service was friendly but the food was not as good as I'd thought it would be. We ordered Cajun fries, garlic noodles, 1llb crawfish + 1llb king crab + extra corn + sausage + potatoes, in the mild garlic butter sauce. The only thing I liked was the fries and noodles. Fries were nice and crispy with the perfect amount of seasoning. And the noodles were perfectly cooked with a delicious amount of butter and garlic. The corn wasn't that sweet, which sucks because that's one of my favorite add ons to a seafood boil. The sauce was great on its own but the seafood tasted as if it was boiled then lightly tossed in the sauce afterwards. This was disappointing because the sauce was exactly what I was craving for. Would not come back again, we spent around $150 for seafood that was pretty bland. Disappointing. I give a star for the noodles and fries and another star for the good service. Grand rating 2/5 stars.

Parking is a bit difficult but we managed to find street parking a block away. Wasn't too crowded and there was plenty of seating inside. You order first and you find a table to sit, and they bring out the food to you. Self serve water is available. The food came out pretty quick! Thoughts: - Lobster roll (classic) was delicious! Generous amount of lobster. Would definitely get this again. Chips weren't too great though. - Fried shrimp basket was nice. Shrimp was crispy and tasty. Fries were also very crispy and flavorful. The sauces go well with the shrimp/fries. Coleslaw isn't the best though. - The crab nachos were surprisingly good. A nice cheese sauce combo with pico/avocado crema and a good amount of crab. - Garlic noodles were fine, nothing standout about them. - Mix and match basket with catfish, cod, and calamari (not pictured): Catfish was solid (would highly recommend, one of the favorites of the meal!), but would pass on the cod and calamari - a bit dry/fishy. Would recommend for a casual spot for seafood and a nice view!

Anyone remember the Jack London Village that they tore down to build this end of the development? Anyways - this is a fast casual type spot, where you order from the counter, place the little number sign on your table and wait for it to be delivered. The menu is your standard seafood joint by the water type, with all the usual suspects represented. Fried fish, shrimp, chowder, seafood pastas--if you've ever been to a seaside seafood joint, chances are good that the menu here is exactly like the one you remember seeing at the countless other places like this one. I noticed right off the bat that their pricing structure was on the high side - with a $17 burger and fries option, with the bulk of the fried seafood options in the $22-25 range. A cheaper choice might be the $16 fish tacos (two of them) but I kind of draw the line at paying $8 for a single taco. Our table ordered a few of the fried options plus a few soda beverages. The food arrived in a reasonable amount of time, and I noticed that the silver metal trays that the food comes on is a bit on the small side, especially considering the prices for each dish. The fried shrimp dish was a big scoop of mega-salty french fries, and 3 average sized deep fried shrimp. Yes - 3 as in 1, 2, 3. That's what - $7+ a shrimp? The two fried fish platters weren't much better portion-wise. My deep fried cod consisted of three modest sized fish-fingers, and not the single luscious chunk of perfectly fried cod I had imagined in my head when ordering. They were fine - but very average and nothing that stood out as life-changing or something to write home about. As mentioned earlier, they must be employing the Little Rascals method where they over salt everything, in hopes that you'll order another beverage to wash down the copious mounts of sodium (I figure about 4+ days worth). The fried catfish platter that rounded out our order was more of the same - thin meager portions of fish on a large bed of mega-salted fries. Small plastic containers of generic pre-made tartar sauce and coleslaw can with each platter. The coleslaw was fine - just very forgettable and perhaps a tad on the flavorless/watery side. All said, was it okay? Yes. Was it anything outstanding that I'd crave and plan my return to have again? No. It is in line with touristy by-the-Sea seafood places that charge an extra couple of bucks because they're "on the water"? Pretty much. You're paying for the view and the 'scene' of sitting on the patio out front to people watch, and not for the food. I kind of hate these places and normally try my best to stay away from them, but every once in awhile, you gotta put on your tourist hat and join the mindless flock. A meager 2 stars outta 5 from me. Instead, I'd stroll around this area on a Sunday when they hold the farmer's market (again - is not what it used to be) and then drive through the tube to Alameda where great dining spots are numerous on Park Street. You can stop at Crab Cove and Crown Beach on the way, for more touristy sightseeing.

A search on this website resulted in Marica having it on their menu. He booked a 7:30 PM reservation for two. We arrived early. What started out as a not too pleasant experience for us was the attitude of the guy who greeted us when we entered the restaurant. Attitude bordered on rudeness (3 star). We somewhat tolerated it, not knowing what to expect next. The restaurant was filled with diners, and the only available seating was not far from the front door. Oh, the chill was in the air, and my not wearing a sweater and/or light jacket to stay warm had me shivering. I had to brave the element (LOL). Since there was no Chilean sea bass on their daily special menu, it took a little longer for my companion and I to peruse the menu, and decide what entrees we were willing to have. Usually I would order an Arnold Palmer as a beverage; however, this time I decided to be adventurous - reisling peach spritz please - to whet my appetite. My date had the Temescal pilsner. Eats: Grilled salmon arange ginger saffron blanc beurre, roasted potatoes and vegetables. Korean short ribs, honey garlic gochujang marinade, mashed potatoes and vegetables. Our meals were on point and bomb-diggity delicious. The arange ginger saffron was perfect with the carrot. It reminded me of glazed carrots. The green beans were fresh and not overcooked. Ooh, the Korean pork ribs were tender and that sauce was sweet and had a subtle kick of spiciness. (Definitely a perfect complement for the pork ribs.) I have to admit the chef knew how to burn. Food tasted so good that figuratively speaking y'all gotta slap the cook and his mama. Ambiance: Comfy and casual. Despite the dining area is small, still it is a great restaurant for dining on a Friday evening. From my perspective and vivid imagination with the indoor lighting, it exuded a romantic atmosphere. Only in my mind I can hear soft jazz in the background. What convinced me to give Marica a 5 star rating? It was none other than Enriqueta, our waitress. She was pleasant, attentive and so accommodating. The chef lost our order ticket; thus, the wait time for our meal took a bit longer than we anticipated. She came to the rescue and comped us with dessert - chocolate souffle with homemade vanilla ice cream. It certainly was a gesture of kindness to have my date and me smiling from ear to ear. The mains were a bit of a letdown. The fried chicken was a little dry. We got all the "fixins"and, though they were innovative, it was all very savory. Way too much savory. Even something simple as a honey butter for the biscuits would help cut through that. My wife got the mussels. Good, but again super savory. Partially our fault for getting two very savory dishes but a balanced dish should have a balance of flavor profiles. 3 stars for mains. Overall, a great experience. We usually go to Hang Ten, but they closed down the one that was at Southland. I looked around and found Lemon Crab. They had everything we were looking for and it was super close by! I ended up ordering online through Yelp and it was a very smooth process. When we got there to pick up our order, the staff were super friendly. We told them that we had an online order to pick up and it was already waiting for us. Everything was sooo amazing! The flavors were delicious and it was not bland or too salty. Everything paired so well with rice and we just couldn't get enough. We definitely will be ordering again from here! Amazing place and looking forward to trying out stuff on the menu.

It was on one of our places to check out after seeing an influencer go here. It's a small restaurant with limited seating outside but plenty of parking outside. We got clam chowder, white rice, and combo #1 with shrimp head on, crawfish, and clams (extra $2) with lemon crab medium spicy sauce. Service was just okay. It was hard to flag them down even though it's not a big space. The clam chowder wasn't very hot. It was cool at the top and a bit warm at the bottom. The white rice just wasn't soft at all :/ The combo was alright. No complaints on the quality of the seafood.

There's nothing NOT to love about this place!…read more I made a reservation for date night, as we've wanted to try this place for awhile. The atmosphere is cozy and casual and the service staff are really friendly. In terms of food, we started with a dozen oysters, the smoked trout dip, and the boquerones. The smoked trout dip was outstanding!!! Loved the flavor of it! The Boquerones was also delicious... the oysters were all fresh and can be ordered with horseradish and hot sauce (I think it was Crystal). For mains we ordered the steamed mussels and the grilled shrimp. The mussels were good, though on the smaller side, and the shrimp was delicious, buttery and garlicky. Great combo! To finish I had the Key Lime Pie which was done in a bowl. Great lime flavor and not overly sweet. Overall, a fantastic experience and we will definitely return!

They were running a special with a winery, buy a carafe of wine, get a dozen oysters for a $1 each. I mention it because it was a good deal. Unfortunately for me, no alcohol. I still had the oysters though. They served me 1/2 East Coast and 1/2 West Coast. For once, my beloved Miyagis were the bigger oyster. Delicious! Instead of wine, I had a Shirley Temple. They make a good one. For my main, I had the lobster roll. They do it with mayonnaise and celery. It was good, but I prefer my naked with butter. Wish that was an option. I chose to splurge and get the Cesar salad on the side. It was almost delicate, with finely shredded cheese and light dressing. I wish there was more dressing to stand up to the romaine. Maybe a few more croutons, too. For dessert, I tried the creme brulee. It was nice and creamy with lots of fresh fruit on top. I only ate half. Be aware, the serving size is generous. You and a friend could easily share. The space itself is nice. It's modern and bright with jwarm wood and jaz playing in the background. There is seating at the bar, and a few outdoor tables in addition to the main room. I enjoyed my experience. If I had a criticism, it's that I wished for one or two more mains. They really have what I consider a grazing menu. It's not a bad thing, just something to consider. Only go if you love seafood. They have the obligatory burger, but not much else. I give them a solid 3.5. Recommended.

No one greeted us. Wasn't sure where to go. Went to the register. Waited a minute for someone to come out. Ordered the clam chowder, dozen oysters and fish & chips with a glass of mystery orange wine. Decided to sit outside in the back patio. Table was dirty from previous guest which usually doesn't bother me be ut little things started adding up. Service took a while. Oysters came out first. 20 min. They were fresh and delicious. Just enough to get the palette opened up. $46 though? Way overpriced but was willing to overlook since it is Mother's Day. Next up - clam chowder, 10 min after they took the tray for the oysters. Smallest bowl I ever saw. Flavor was good. Temperature was luke warm. Broth was thin. $10. Not worth it. Last was the fish and chips. 10 min after picking up the chowder bowl. Portion looked good enough to make up for the small clam chowder, except it was under seasoned. Fish texture was a bit dry too. Fries were meh. Between the overall vibe...the overpriced items...the time between dishes...and the lack of flavor, I will continue my search for an oyster spot in this neighborhood.

First of all, the ambiance was giving FOR US BY US, which we love. It was Friday night and there was a DJ playing throw backs. Very comforting. The servers were very attentive as well so we knew we'd be taken care of. But really what we need to get into is the flavor and generous portion sizes. Normally, I'm skeptical of roux-based mac & cheese because I typically prefer egg custard southern style baked mac & cheese, but the Mac and cheese was absolutely delicious, creamy and flavorful. My girl B got the gumbo and it was FIRE, crab legs and everything with that deep chocolate color you wanna see in a gumbo. Not greasy, just full of umami. I got the catfish with greens and rice and it was MASSIVE! Literally 2 meals for lil ole me. The fish was seasoned dowwwwwn and the greens were very solid. Sometimes in dishes like this the rice can be the afterthought, but the rice was also very flavorful and seasoned and paired well with everything. I will absolutely be back to big my back with those big ass plates of tasty Southern cookin.
