I like this spot, it beats those chain seafood boils in terms of flavor of the sauce, and it has a decent variety of seafood offerings. I usually stick with the shrimps and crab. Other items are mostly fired stuff like fries and zucchini and such. This place does give off a ghetto vibe, so if you're not comfortable with that then this place is not for you lol. Graffiti on the walls (by design I think) with a very mixed crowd. No nonsense waitstaff, not rude but "let me get this in" type of a vibe. I like that here because it kind of matches the vibe of the restaurant. No fake rapport building, not rude not super nice but they are working hard. Music is loud and it's more of a younger crowd. Parking can be tough, there are only like 4-5 parking spots for the restaurant and you have to try to find street parking for the most part. the food was really good even to go. that really all i have to say that was good. i went there to order to go. there were around 3-4 tables with people that were eating there and we were the only ones ordering togo. our order wasn't big, it was a normal seafood boil with garlic noodles. thats it. we waited around 10-15 minutes at first before wondering where our food was. i noticed that the couple that was eating there had ordered another bag for to go after we had ordered and they got their food before us. we gave them the benefit of the doubt and continued waiting. in total we waited 30-40 minutes for a TO GO order of two items. we asked them where our food was and the waitress checked it. it was never sent to the kitchen because they had computer issues but what i was confused about is why were we the only ones with an order problem and not any of the people that came after us ordering to go as well. i am also confused why the waiters were walking around serving everyone else and not noticing that we've been sitting there for so long. and the restaurant was not packed AT ALL. no one thought "why are they sitting there for so long after ordering 30 minuted ago?" after checking in with her, the waitress was very apologetic and offered for a free appetizer. we ordered cajun fries. we got home and the cajun fries were normal fries with no seasoning at all. are we serious? read more

A major highlight was getting to try a new menu item (not sure if it's officially on the menu yet), which was raw oysters topped with a cucumber sauce with ponzu. Super refreshing and a great contrast to the briny oysters. Now let's talk about the sauce... the sauce was sooo good paired with the seafood combo that we got. My husband ordered the Volcano Shrimp Boil (peeled & deveined) $23.99 with 2 Potatoes $4, Eggs $2, 6 pieces of Sausage $4.50, & Corn on the Cob $1.50 He was disappointed that it wasn't spicier so I finally convinced him to let Chhaya know, and he went in the back and came out with a cup of liquid to pour into his to spice it up. Took my bf here for the first time and he's accustomed to eating fresh, huge, juicy crawfish so I knew he would give an honest review. He LOVED it... "greatest seafood boil I've ever been to" It wasn't just the food, they had everything though of. From the black gloves instead of the clear ones that are so loose, to giving us TONS of lemons compared to other places where we always had to ask for more. We even asked if we could change the tv to watch the playoffs and they willingly did it. The food came out with reasonable time, and the music was so fun. Think current hiphop, r&b, and throwbacks. Its family friendly still, they get packed after 6pm. We went on a Saturday around 4:30-5 and it was empty but we saw the crowd as the night went on. I've been craving crawfish boil so we decided to stop by for dinner on a Tuesday night. Parking lot is very small so we parked on the street. There were only two other tables and some To-go orders. The place looked cool and service was friendly but the food was not as good as I'd thought it would be. We ordered Cajun fries, garlic noodles, 1llb crawfish + 1llb king crab + extra corn + sausage + potatoes, in the mild garlic butter sauce. The only thing I liked was the fries and noodles. Fries were nice and crispy with the perfect amount of seasoning. And the noodles were perfectly cooked with a delicious amount of butter and garlic. The corn wasn't that sweet, which sucks because that's one of my favorite add ons to a seafood boil. The sauce was great on its own but the seafood tasted as if it was boiled then lightly tossed in the sauce afterwards. This was disappointing because the sauce was exactly what I was craving for. The spice level was listed as "spicy" but it didn't really it hit the mark - definitely a personal preference issue but no big deal. The crab legs were a mix of snow crab and king crab legs which seems like a good deal until I realized that they were connected? Very odd. I have to agree with the others. the quality is poor and has definitely changed over the years. I ordered head on shrimp and they were all mushy and not fresh. Every single one, and some were so bad you couldn't even peel them. The rocking combo seasoning used to be really good and tasty, but I feel like it's watered down now and there isn't much flavor. The gumbo used to be decent, but I feel like this was also not fresh except for the two shrimp and the few pieces of sausage. Everything else in the gumbo had been over boiled. Although we selected mild, it came out pretty spicy. Kids won't be able to eat at that level imo. We were disappointed with the crab legs. As you will see in the pic, they are small. My tastebuds wanted a shrimp boil for dinner. I hadn't been to The Rockin' Crawfisn in a good while and it was the place I desired to return to. I ordered the boil with.5 LB shrimp (heads off), .5 LB mussels, corn, and 2 red potatoes --in the Rockin Crayfish flavor with medium heat. Sorry I didn't even think about taking a photo because I was too eager to eat. The food was delicious, filling, and exciting to look at and to eat. Medium is the perfect spice level for me (the next level would have been too hot and then unenjoyable). It was a quiet Thursday evening, plenty tables were available and no noise. I even got a parking space in their lot. Service was welcoming, attentive and quick. I like the funky graffiti decor at Rockin Crayfish. It's a cool, casual spot. For my next visit I'll have Calamari and Garlic Noodles. :-D Rockin Crawfish prices are quite reasonable. They now automatically include a 15% gratuity for eat-in customers. This spot is literally 5 mins from my house so I gave it a shot. I ordered a shrimp boil peeled and deveined with one potato, one corn and extra sausage. The spice level was medium and I couldn't taste a hint of spice. It was actually sweet which tasted really weird. I couldn't taste any garlic and the sauce was more watery than anything. The shrimp tasted like it was cooked a while before that order, the potato was real soggy, and the sausage wasn't even the right sausage for a boil. I overall didn't have a good experience at all.
