I've been wanting to try their hot pot for awhile. They have a good selection of hot pots, appetizers and desserts. My family got the Golden Spicy Soup Beef and the Herbal Hot Pot. I normally get hot pots with beef but I ordered the Coconut Cream Curry because I wanted to try the curry base and I enjoy pork slices as well. The hot pots were delicious! Although I felt like my pot was mainly cabbage packed on the bottom. The soup bases and the ingredients were pretty good. We also ordered the Super French Fries. The long fries were so fun to eat. We got the cheese, ketchup and wasabi seaweed on the side. We dipped the fries in all 3 condiments and loved it! Currently, they have a buy 2 hot pot get 1 free Monday-Friday, so I will be coming back for that!

I came here for a late lunch recently. The food took a while to come prepare and come out even though it wasn't that busy. I could tell the ingredients were fresh and the portions were generous. I didn't like the broth that much, I couldn't put my finger on what it tasted like but it was interesting. This was a decent place to dine at, I would come back occasionally but this wouldn't be on my usual rotation when I'm craving hot pot.

Cute little spot in Alameda. Street parking, all metered. Can be hit or miss, also could prob park a little further down for free parking if wanted. Friendly service and big menu which was fun. They did not have beef skewers sadly so we tried the lamb. It had good seasoning and crispy but little gamey for my taste. The noodles were decent. The chicken was good! The tofu pudding wasn't too sweet but didn't have the ginger sauce I love. But still good nonetheless! They had a real big selection of drinks- I'll be back to try their other items~

Tasty Point has been spot on with everything I've ordered or my friends have ordered there so far. The first time I went, I got the hot pot which was so much food that it became the next day's lunch. The side of vermicelli that came with it tipped me over the food edge but it was so good and piping hot at all times! The next time I went was for dessert. My friend and I ordered their creme brûlée and now it is my go to dessert on Park Street. That sugar crunch...makes me crave one right now. The owner convinced me to try the coconut pudding the next time I was there which I did. He told me it's one person's job to make it so it may not always be available if they sell out. If you love coconut, this is a must try. They make smooth coconut pudding and put it back in the coconut and top it with fried coconut flakes. Do you get the flakes, the pudding and can spoon out some fresh coconut from the sides and lid of the coconut. So delicious and unique! The next time my friend picked me up from the airport, we had time to make it back to Tasty Point. We both decided to try the ramen since it would be less food than the hot pot. I ordered the black garlic tonkotsu and it was delicious. So don't just go for hot pot, go for the ramen too! The restaurant is always clean and spacious. Cold water is always brought once you sit down. The only one negative I can think of is when they're cleaning tables and they use the spray bottle that smells like bleach (but it goes away quickly thankfully). The two bathrooms are clean. Street parking but it's pretty easy to find in that area.

I'm so happy there's an individual hot pot place in the east bay that's delicious! My favorite hotpot flavors are the laksa and the spicy lamb, I forgot the names! But you'll find it on the menu. The hotpots are super flavorful and packed with ingredients! The girls who work here are also super nice and helpful! The restaurant is also super roomy and comfortable, bathrooms are super clean and parking is easy! I love that they're doing a weekday promotion Monday to Friday buy 2 get 1 free hotpot! My family and I LOVE this spot! I hope the promotion stays for a long time :)

Grabbed dinner here on the recommendation of a friend on a Thursday night. The name caught my eye because it sounds like they basically blended together Tasty Pot and Boiling Point to create a name. We ordered 4 items between the three of us: fries, lamb skewers, and 2 pots. I personally opted for the Chengdu hot pot which was customizable. The portions and pricing are pretty standard, but some of their pots come in a larger size that I thought was a pretty good deal and could definitely feed two people. If I hadn't had Tasty Pot (my favorite for individual hotpot) before coming here I think I would have enjoyed it a lot more, but it was just okay in comparison and I probably wouldn't return. The broth wasn't as flavorful nor as spicy as I'd like and I was underwhelmed by the other toppings and sauces. My friends seemed to enjoy the lamb skewers. We all liked the fries, they were crispy and the batter was light. Fries were served with cheese and ketchup, and tasted like potato chips. I was so amused by how long they were compared to typical fries! Service was on point, friendly and attentive. My experience wasn't bad by any means, quality was good, but there are just better options out there for hotpot. Stars mainly for the service and the fact that others I dined with seemed to really like it! I think I just prefer a broth that packs more of a punch. Giving this 3 stars because Yelp doesn't have half stars, but it was more of like a rounded up 2.5 for me.

Tried Tasty Point in Alameda and went with the large Taiwanese spicy hot pot. The broth had good spice, the toppings were plentiful, and the sauce selection made it easy to mix things up. Service was really nice, and the spot itself felt modern and well lit--great atmosphere without being too flashy. Overall, a solid hot pot experience that ranks right up there with others in the area.

Food was delicious , staff was very nice. Chicken cutlet was juicy and crunchy, and ramen broth was very flavorful ! The three sauces (BBQ, Garlic & chili oil) all went very well with the chicken. I am surprised this place does not have 5/5 stars. This place will be one of my Go-To's for ramen !

The food was definitely tasty, I ordered a beef pot, I think it was the Porcini hot pot, but I can't remember exactly. The service was very prompt and the waiters were very smart and made the drinks in to go cups, so we can just carry it when we leave. It was relatively tame when we arrived as it was late, but the food hits and it's tasty with the variety of ingredients. It's similar to Tasty Pot.

It was our neighbors get-together and we decided to check out Tasty Point for hotpots. Located off Park St on Santa Clara, we were able to find street parking down the block. The restaurant is bright, clean and modern and the waitress welcomed and directed us to our table of six which we had reserved. Their specialty is Hot Pot as there are 12 different choices that come in three sizes, though a couple come in large or big sizes only. For those not wanting hot pot, they also have rice and noodle, ramen and spaghetti choices. There's also appetizers, desserts and tea, yogurt and fruit drinks. For appetizer, we got the deep fried stinky tofu, since some of us never tried it. Having tried in Taiwan, these did not have a strong and pungent aroma. They were crispy and came with a side of pickled vegetables. I ordered the Porcini Hot Pot which came in a large size. It came with sliced beef, beef ball, imitation crab, fried tempura, pork fish ball, soft tofu, fried tofu skin, shitake mushrooms, king oyster mushrooms, daikon, maitake mushrooms, a wedge of corn, and Napa cabbage. The beefy broth had good flavor and there was a lot of ingredients in this bowl. Thought there was just a little too much slice Napa cabbage in it. I had a taste of the Taiwanese Braised Pork Chop Noodle dish which was served in a skillet dish. The pork chop was tender and had a nice crisp and there was a mince braised pork over the noodles as well. Thought this was tasty. Other dishes my neighbors had were the Tomato Hot Pot, Vine Pepper Hot Pot, the Chengdu Hot Pot and Tonkatsu Ramen. They enjoyed their dishes and the two who had the hot pots also commented that there was too much Napa cabbage. Our waitress was friendly from answering our menu questions through service. I've had better, but Tasty Point is a good hot pot choice in Alameda and also they have options for non-hot pot eaters.

I've come here several times because it's one of the closer hot pot places in Alameda/Oakland area. The service is usually perfectly fine but there are very very few times where they are a bit slow/miss things (but no biggie). I usually get a personal hot pot here, but I've noticed they added other things to the menu such as ramen and a lot of new appetizers. I'm pretty satisfied every time I come here, since I have a hotpot addiction and this spot hits the spot. The portions are a bit smaller than Tasty Pot and Boiling Point (other hot pot places similar to Tasty Point) Parking/location: There is metered street parking that isn't too hard to find. It is located on a side street next to Park St in Alameda. Overall every time I come here I know what quality, portions, and prices to expect and I'm always leaving satisfied. :)

This is my second time here. The first time I would've given a 3/5, but I feel like this place has definitely improved! The soup is much tastier than last time. Their menu is HUGE and they have a wide variety. They have many other things other than hot pot, which I'd be willing to try next time. I ordered the Taiwanese Spicy Hot Pot and it was HUGE. There was plenty of food inside. There was even a whole ramen in there and plenty of beef slices. The broth doesn't taste like your usual Taiwanese spicy pot, but I actually like it! It's cleaner and less oily, which is to my liking. My bf got the Coconut Curry Hot Pot and it was quite delicious! I was worried it would be too coconut-y but thankfully it was just the right amount. I think for those who like curry hot pots but don't want the coconut, you can easily tell them to remove it bc they literally just put coconut milk over it. Overall it was pretty good. My bf usually gets the curry pot at Tasty Pot (which is his fave) and he said this one was actually a little better bc, again, it was less oily and had a lot of food inside. Service was great--food came out fast. The server frequently refreshed water. Plenty of seating indoors and pretty spacious.

I stumbled upon this place a couple of months ago. Close to home and comparable to tasty pot. My brother likes boiling point the best but I have yet to try. I usually get the #11 with the Taiwanese spicy soup. My mom likes this place because they have stinky tofu (fried/with soup). The waitress that works there is really nice and attentive. Big portion except for the rice and vermicelli noodles. I never had to wait for a table and the price isn't too bad. read more

I've been watching and waiting for this new restaurant to open, and I was not disappointed! Tried the "Stinky Tofu" Hot Pot, (it's NOT stinky, but the fermented tofu does have an organic flavor like an aged cheese). There were a lot of different ingredients with a wide variety of flavors. The broth was flavorful also. Got the "Big Pot" at $20 and there was plenty to split between myself and my wife. There are lots of other Hot Pot options, so you should easily find one that fits your style. The location is great, central Park Street, and there is no similar restaurant nearby, definitely worth a try. read more

Cute restaurant, we dined in during the soft opening. The staff is inexperienced and are learning. The menu is pretty extensive, many types of soup, from mild to sour to Spicy and stinky. We ordered the Porchini bowl which comes in a large size bowl. My companion and I shared the soup and ordered the King Oyster appetizer. That was a lot of food. I made sure to add the sauces as my dipping for the hot pot. The chili oil and garlic chili head good heat. Make sure you try the mango tofu dessert! The was so refreshing to end the dinner. read more

I think this place is really delicious. I always get the porcini hot pot and add extra vermicelli noodles. It tastes delicious and hits that hot pot taste craving without going to an ayce place. Always great, friendly, and attentive service every time I've been. It's is nice and lots of seating inside. Parking can be very horrible as it is right off of park street, but you may be able to get lucky depending on time you go. read more

A must try! My bf and I went in on a whim on Sunday for lunch. The employees were nice and welcoming. The food was great. The atmosphere was warming. I got the Tom yum pot with a side of noodles, the broth was a great combination of sweet and sour. My bf got the Taiwanese pot, which was very reminiscent of my childhood flavors in a soup. The popcorn chicken was fried just right. The biggest surprise was the pig ears. It was delicious, although I wish the pieces were cut a bit smaller. One thing I would say that needed some improvement would be the ordering process. Although we went through it just fine, while observing other customers I noticed that they were waiting quite a bit of time to put in their order. We saw a scan code on the table that said "scan to order" but I don't think some of the other customers really paid attention. I think it'd be nice to let ppl know as they are coming in and being seated that they can order through their phones, or if they'd prefer someone to take their order. They're still in their soft opening stage so I think there's still a learning curve. Be patient. :) Other than that, 5stars all around. read more

Stopped by during their soft opening on a Thursday night for dinner. Food: My table ordered two pots and a takoyaki appetizer. I got a taiwanese spicy hotpot for myself while my friend got the stinky tofu hotpot. For the Taiwanese spicy hotpot, it did not match what was shown on their menu. The beef was well done by the time it was served to me and there was missing narutomaki(red/white fishcake) and enoki mushrooms. I got very spicy, but there was a lack of heat to it compared to other locations. For the stinky tofu hotpot, my friend had said that the stinky tofu had melted into the broth when it was served to him. Both pots were probably sitting out before being served to us. They had (re)lit the flames in front of us when they had served it. The takoyaki was a decent price. You get 7 for about $8. Service/Pricing: For placing orders, you can speak with the staff or scan the QR MealKeyway (Point of Sale similar to Toast) code on a phone to place an order. Pricing for the pots range from Small($16.99), Big($19.99), and Chengdu pot($22.99). If you go during lunch, it cost $1 less per pot. Pricing for appetizers averaged around between $7-11. Pricing for teas was between $5-7 Since it was during the soft opening, it did take about 20 minutes to get the food to us. Some tables that came later were able to get food faster than us. Ambiance: If you have been to different mini hotpot restaurant in the past, the ambiance is what you expect. A bunch of tables and some booth seatings, signs for desserts, and led signage of the store name/logo. They have a little wall decal you can take photo if right when you enter the store. Other than that, it's what you usually see at a (Tasty/Boiling/Sizzle/Phrase) (Pot/Point/Spot). Overall: The experience could've been better. I get that it's their soft opening, so I'll give them see leeway. The price for the food was expensive considering other places usually provide iced tea at the same price. I'd give them another try once they have stabilized or prices improved. read more

As a long time resident of Alameda, finally a place I can enjoy different types of foods from varieethot pot, bbq kabob, deserts, and fruity drinks. Very tasty bbq beef and lamb on kabob stick! Went to meet up with friends here, first time eating here. We ordered an individual hot pot. I got the fatty beef which was good, it comes with choice of rice or glass noodle as the side. Portion wise is good, enough to fill up. I didn't touch the glass noodle and I was very filled. Must try their 楊之甘露豆付花. The tofu is so soft and overall not too sweet but I would like more mango and grapefruit in. Will return. read more

Food is good. Restaurant is new and clean, hip and young ambiance. Our server was kind and attentive. But...the problem is they charge 15% service charge in the bill already! The server NEED to tell the customers that when she brings over the check or that will put a big dent on their reputation! If I didn't over heard the angry customer next to us I will not know and also tip again ! I don't mind adding more tip so I tip over 15% but I almost tipped 33% read more

I was craving boba and popcorn chicken but every place on the island closes at 8:30-9pm Saw this place closed late (9:30) so I rushed and got here at 9:11pm. Honestly was so excited to try the popcorn chicken here and their drink options but it was CLOSED. Will be back to review when they're actually open just bummed they don't honor their hours read more

I was excited to try this new soup place. We had lamb pepper hot pot. Temperature was so hot it burnt my tongue, roof of my mouth and back of my throat. The portion size was good tho the dish was bland . We ordered brown sugar, strawberry boba tea. Super sweet not a lot depth to the drink. Crème brûlée came to the table with a soggy topping... wasn't crunchy and sagged when we tried to eat it. The custard was good tho- Overall underwhelmed. read more

My wife had a lunch special which consisted of Pork, Chicken, with rice. She really enjoyed it. I had the #11 Porcini Hot Pot. Lots of food, very tasty. The young lady serving us was very attentive and a good personality. The area was very clean and bright; so were the rest rooms. We will be back. We come to visit our grandkids several times a year. read more

The beef options are limited and what comes with the hotpot aren't that great. I feel like they mismatching the meat and stuff with the broth. I had the spicy taiwanese pot and the meat quality isn't that great. There is a lingering peppercorn after taste which I did not like at all. The noodle and dumpling were overcook. read more

The service was odd, they never brought out our tea which we were charged for. The employees reassured us our tea was coming out multiple times but the hour we were there for my birthday dinner it never came. They told us to grab our own things from the weird side table (we were the only people there). My food came out and it seemed that the employees forgot my friends but we ordered via QR code so maybe it was a kitchen issue?? After us having to come up and ask I felt more of an inconvenience to them then anything. Sorry if we just weren't supposed to be there it just looked like a cool spot. read more

I was super excited to try this place because I thought it would be similar to Tasty Pot (one of my ultimate fav spots) but I was a little disappointed. I know this place is fairly new, but the service was slow and the workers don't seem very well trained yet. The place is really nice however and the ambiance was chill. The food was decent. I dont know why my previous review was deleted. But im sure it was the owner who purposely removed. But ill put it here again! This restaursnt is beyond worst!! Not only their mini pot is not good it is not what they describe or display on their menu. We chose the taiwanese min hotpot and it came out as a white creamy chicken soup base. Clearly they do not understand what a real taiwanese hotpot is like. They just want to copy other restsursnt like boiling point or tasty pot. I even ordered a drink on their menu. The picture looks so good and it turn out to be a regular green tea with couple of the jelly. New place in Alameda with variety of food including hot pots, ramen, appetizers, desserts and drinks. Service was good, very friendly and consistent refill of water. The waitress was very thoughtful and waited to bring our durian pudding after she saw we were finishing our food. Definitely recommend the black garlic ramen, it was more flavorful when compared to Tonkatsu ramen. The fried dumplings were crisp and delicious. The sauce that came with the dumplings has a little kick. There is garlic soy sauce on the table which went really well with the dumplings. Durian pudding was creamy and smooth. Delicious food. Clean place. Good service. I came here with my mom. We ordered a Laza seafood hot pot, a fried mushrooms dish and a drink called "old tangerine peel salty lemon soda". The hot pot was filled with good portions of food with a side bowl of noodles or rice. I like how the pot kept the food warm for quite a long time. The drink is the best. It is so refreshing. We love this place. I don't understand all the bad reviews on here. It's delicious, filling, and the service is great. I always see the same guy working here, and he's very attentive. Our most recent time, there was an older gentlemen who was going around making sure all our needs were addressed. He asked if the spice level was ok stating that everyone has a different tolerance for spice and wanted to make sure ours was ok! I've so far gotten the porcini hot pot, the herbal, the golden spicy, and spicy miso ramen. All were very delicious!! Honestly I'm just rooting for this restaurant. If that means an automatic 15% service fee to keep good workers and good service, I'm here for it. It makes tipping easier for me. Its also literally stated in BOLD LETTERS on the receipt. Make sure you hold onto it because a lost token will run you $48 for the day rate. 2. The spot is poppin. It's not a complaint, that's a great thing! However it's really small inside so if there's a wait, you do have to line up in a single file line along a divider wall, where you can watch diners eat. Right next to you is the take out line for BBQ orders. It can get really claustrophobic. Tables do move fast as they're quick to bring out food, however you may be asked to just share a table with someone else. They have a couple round tables for the communal dining, or larger groups (up to 8). This is an ideal spot for 2-4 people. 6+ may cause you to wait longer for seating. 3. The tap water tastes kind of weird. They bring you a hot cup of tea too but the herbal taste is a bit too strong for me. 4. The bbq items are just okay :( I did a 3 item bbq combo with rice for about $21. You get a generous portion of meat, rice and a few pieces of steamed Chinese broccoli (gai lan). No sauce to dip or anything, but they do have a black bean sauce on the table to use. The sauce is pretty salty though, so just keep that in mind when you're adding it on. No spicy condiments on the table unfortunately. The duck was decent, but the bbq pork was a bit too lean for me. It wasn't overly sweet though so that was nice. The roast pork wasn't crunchy at all!! All of the meats were tender though! 5. Fresh shrimp rice roll was hot and steamy and the price is cheaper than some dim sum spots ($7.50 for this one i think). However, you also get less shrimp. The sauce poured on was also kinda thin, and not sweet or umami enough. The rice roll itself had a good chew though, silky but a little thick. It holds up well while eating. The proportion go shrimp to rice noodle is waaaay off though. 6. Wonton noodle soup was good! This seemed like the crowd favorite as most everyone ordered this. The noodle could have had a bit more chew to it, but the wontons were bouncy and the broth comforting. You get a couple pieces of chinese broccoli with this too which is nice. The service was efficient and our main server was nice. She spoke english and actually smiled back. They take card payment too, so that's convenient. You really get some bang for your buck here, but I'd probably stick to taking food to go.

Not sure if the portions in the pictures are much bigger than what you get for takeout. Got my takeout order of Taiwan something I forget, and everything inside was minimal, minimal beef, two piece of tofu, its actually 1 but cut in half to make it look like 2. One beef ball cut in half. Two dumplings, two paper thin slices of taro, ramen and veggies for if i remember $20. Soup wise I barely tasted anything but spice in it. I also got a champagne boba milk tea which was very very concentrated and had that bitter taste to it. The boba has decent consistency to it not too hard not too soft. Apparently the staff here do not consider about the rising food cost when it comes to billing. I've been here for 4 weekends in a row. I will never return here after what happened at the end of my last visit. The bill was $56.80. I put a total for $60. The staff laughed because the tip was a merely "$3." Apparently, my tip was too laughable for them to even charge the tip. The past three previous weekends, the bills ranged from $80 to $110. ordered the Taiwan self hotpot bowl for take out. was $20 for a big bowl they say. Got my food and the big bowl looked the same size as other restaurants normal bowl size. I asked for mild spicy and holy crud...it tasted as if it was full on spicy, whoever the cook is needs to check the spice level. I am so happy there is a new hot pot restaurant opened in Alameda, local for me. I don't have to drive too far. I had the Golden Spicy hot pot (non-spicy) which is perfect for me. It was a good portion and the soup flavor was good, not too salty. There were also 3 different sauces on the table, spicy sauces were available if you like more flavors. I also had the young coconut putting, yum yum....so good. I would come back and try the other desserts. read more

I had an amazing dining experience at Tasty Pot, a hot pot restaurant located in Alameda. From the moment I stepped in, the cozy ambiance and welcoming staff. The fresh ingredients available for the hot pot was impressive, ranging from slices of meat to the vibrant vegetables. I also ordered a Crème brûlée, although it was different from what I had, I liked the restaurant take on it. read more

I wish I can give NO stars! 超級無敵難食，等了半個小時才上的鍋，這種小火鍋一般都特別快上，不知道為什麼半個小時？嚴重和圖片不符。晚餐$21塊錢的臭臭鍋，說是大鍋，裡面之後零星的牛肉碎，沒錯，是牛肉碎！然後特別硬！還有兩塊味道非常奇特的豆腐（不是臭豆腐），一顆丸子，沒錯，是一顆。一片五分硬幣大小的肥腸！一顆鵪鶉蛋，一片薄的豬血糕，最後就是一對的大白菜了。如果這種規格是大鍋，我真好奇小鍋是怎樣的規格？按半塊計算？結帳的時候還自動算了15%的小費。我覺得服務態度是可以的，就是味道和價格真的超級踩雷！！ read more

I had Golden Spic Soup Beef Hot Pot, there are a lot of ingredients, and the soup is great in flavor. The service is very good, taken my order nicely and make sure I have everything. The pot came out very quickly. Definitely come back to try other foods. read more
