This place stands out for the pricing and service. The interior of the place is nice and modern. The staffing is always around for rounds 2,3,4 and on when we needed anything. The option of soup base is great and the quality of meat is perfect. This place is not skimpy on the portion and it comes out fast. The sauce bar is my favorite, where else do you get XO sauce as an option? Did I mentioned free Boba Milk Tea? Yes, unlimited and included in the price. Lunch goes til 4p at just $25.99 and $29.99 for premium which then comes with more meat options and dim sum. Other places will end lunch hours at 2pm. Here, I can pick up my teenage kids from school and still make it here for lunch pricing. There is literally nothing I can knock on this place aside from street parking only. One of my favorite places to eat in Oakland Chinatown! So happy we have a good AYCE hot pot option nearby. They also always have different promotions/deals going so be sure to check those out. I've tried the seafood boil here and thought it was decent. The individual hot pots are also a good value if you don't want to do AYCE- similar to Boiling Point or Tasty Pot. My go-to is the lunch time AYCE hot pot, which comes with unlimited pearl milk tea. Their tea is actually solid and is your typical black milk tea with chewy boba! For hot pot, I usually get the coconut chicken base and the hot and spicy base. I appreciate how they use fresh young coconut pieces and coconut water in the soup. The hot and spicy base is super flavorful and I think it has the numbing spice from Szechuan peppercorns. The sauce bar has a great variety for you to mix up your own yummy concoction or select their house sauces for dipping. The protein options are good with the Wagyu beef being my top pick. They also have many options for veggies, fish balls, seafood, noodles, etc. There are even more options to choose from if you select the premium menu. First time trying this spot and I thought it was really good! There's a lot of variety and special deals throughout the week like 10-15% off certain dishes or BOGO beer/wine. My fave things were the grilled corn, steamed surf clams and razor clams. Some steamed items come on a bed of vermicelli noodles and TONS of garlic. Must try for garlic heads. We also tried the steamed scallops and oysters, but they were ok. Not bad, but didn't stand out. They have a self-serve sauce bar since they also serve hot pot here. The variety of sauces are good, but I wish they had lemon or lime for all the seafood. You can also add a porridge at the bottom of the steam pot to catch all the seafood juice for $20! Didn't try it this time since I literally ate porridge for lunch today lol. Also, tried the fire and ice sushi roll. Pretty good if you like spicy tuna and mackerel. Here (again) to show some love to my favorite spot in the East Bay. I brought a couple of friends for AYCE hot pot yesterday and we had such a great dinner. They had all the TVs playing the Super Bowl and then switched to the Winter Olympics, which was perfect. I also love that there are TVs on both sides of the booths so all four of us could watch comfortably at the same time. The hot pot was delicious as always. We tried a new soup this time, the pork stomach soup, and the pieces of pork stomach were actually really good. My personal favorite is still the coconut chicken soup though. My friends were super impressed with the food and also pleasantly surprised by the free boba that comes with AYCE. I'm so glad they still offer that because it's the perfect sweet drink to balance out all the savory. We didn't even know there was a promotion going on, but when we asked for the check, the staff happily let us know and made sure it was applied. Since it was Super Bowl Sunday, one person ate free with a party of three or more. After tax and tip, it came out to about $34 per person for our group of four, which honestly feels like an absolute steal in today's economy. Loved how thoughtful and transparent the staff were about it - such a nice surprise! Such a fun, filling, and worth-it meal. I pass by this place a lot during my lunch walks and finally decided to give it a try. They offer lunch special mini hotpots, and each pot comes with a free drink, a choice of green tea or black tea. I was seated quickly, and the server took my order right away. The service was friendly and welcoming. Since I knew what I wanted and only had an hour for lunch, I placed my order immediately, knowing it might take some time to prepare. I had the Szechuan Spicy Pot, which came with beef, fish filet, enoki, tofu, clam, shrimp, cabbage, glass noodles, fish ball, corn, pork blood, and squid balls, and a choice of rice or noodles. The portion-wise was good, and had lots of different ingredients. But the flavor was lacking; Szechuan flavor should have the bold, numbing, and tingling sensation, but I didn't find any from this pot. My sister got the Satay Beef Pot; the flavor was spot on. So if you are craving spicy, I would not recommend getting their Szechuan Spicy Pot. read more

We dropped in after jury duty around 4pm on Monday. There is steam pot, happy hour (Mon-Fri 2-5 bbq foods either a soft drink or beer for $2) or AYVE hotpot shabu shabu. We decided to try the AYCE premium for $35. We got the hot & spicy soup and herbal chicken soup. We loved how there's 4 sections in the hotpot. We could cook meat in one of the same broth and drink the other clean broth. So we only got try 3 different meat slices. The Ribeye and U.S Prime beef were juicy and tender. Don't get the angus beef! It's so dry and tough. Get the shrimp paste! Soo good. We also got assorted mushrooms but there was way too much mushrooms and we couldn't finish them all. We also got watercress, fish ball with smelt roe, taro, soft tofu, pork stomach, beef tripe, bean curd sheets, squid (would skip this, it's frozen), lotus root. They also have dim sum, noodles, fries, sushi rolls on the AYCE menu. They also gave some add on seafoods for extra price if you want to splurge. The pearl milk tea is included in the AYCE. We went for the all you can eat hot pot! You are given an expo marker and you can mark down what you want on the laminated menu. We did have to ask for that menu because they forgot. They have steamed dishes too so they had another menu for that. After you mark down what you want, you hand it to the waiter. They give you a blank laminated menu again so you can mark it down when you're ready to order your next round. The ayce hot pot comes with boba milk tea for everyone and we got it without sugar. It was good and the tea had a slight floral taste. It was a huge mug too! We got the coconut broth and they poured the coconut water into the broth for you when they bring the soup over. That was cool. The broth is DELICIOUS. We also got the pork stomach broth and it was good too! The coconut broth was really delicious though!!! We got the more expensive items which was 31.99 per person I believe. Those are the red menu items. We got lamb for meat and it was nice thin cuts! Not too fatty! We got assorted mushrooms. We got noodles and tofu. We also ordered off ha gow and nai wong bao on the small dim sum part of the menu. We got fries too lol. They have a sauce bar you can make your own sauce at. Staff are nice and approachable. There's a bathroom. Parking is metered on the street. Loved it here. Will definitely come back. Amazing place for the location, with good vibes and you can't beat the value for the price; I don't know of any other place that has AYCE hot pot and all you can drink milk tea. Meat quality for Hot Pot is drastically better to many AYCE places in the bay area, with tender meat. Because many other AYCE restaurants' lean cut of meat are often on the tougher side. Service is ok, I think this is the only thing they need to work on and a solution is to have a notification button on the table; it will help with this. Currently you will have to flag down the waiters just to get refills and order more stuff after the initial order. read more

This is a story of how moms know best. The best soup base here is the mushroom. Yes moms know best - and that is what mom would choose. We had both chicken and mushroom soup base. Mushroom soup base seemed more nutritious less salty. I've always liked the idea of mushrooms - they are one of these miracle foods. Yes, moms will tell you to eat your vegetables and I would have to agree. The strangest thing about this restaurant is if you are on a strange restricted diet this would be the optimum place for you to go. Caveman diet or low carb diet - this is a paradise. I tend to avoid the carbs if I can but it is actually what I enjoy the most. Two types of beef, green bean noodles, fish, crab cakes, sushi California rolls, corn, squash, lamb - I could go on and on with all that we tried. A real feast - something I think suitable for a special occasion or just a night you will remember. Service was ok - you won't get fussed over but it is efficient - and the ambiance is a little off - as its very bright and drafty and cold from all the air vents over the hot pots. Bring a jacket - or somebody to snuggle up with - great date night. My favorites were the wagyu beef and I think a good way to approach the endless options is to try a little of everything at the beginning. Once you finish cooking all your vegetables at the end of the night your soup is done. I think that is the real treat. Moms make the best soups. Of the soups the one made by the mom looked the best in the end. Beautifully created with tons of vegetables and very little fat floating around.
