After ordering multiple times for pick-up in-store this customer service is horrible and anything but helpful. I hesitate every time I go to use the discounts for pick up in store simply because I don't want to have to deal with their staff. Rude and unhelpful. First off the pharmacy staff is top notch and always helpful. I would especially like to thank pharmacists Henry and Shannon for their incredible customer service and overall caring attitude every time I come in to get my mother's prescriptions. Then to keep on with the kudos...the gentlemen in the Electronics department was a lifesaver. My absentmindedness caused me to leave my new S5 cellphome on the display case when I was asking questions. After I checked out at the front lanes I realized I didn't have my phone. I went to the Customer Service desk and the search was on. They were so helpful and by the time I hauled ass back to the Electronics Department, the team member back in Electronics was bringing my phone up to the CS desk. This place would get 5 stars if it wasn't for the cashier opening my shampoo because she wanted to smell it. Weird and I had no idea how to handle that situation. I mean, it's Target. I love Target and shop there several times a week since I am not a Fred Meyer or Walmart fan. I've never had any problems with using coupons at this location or any other customer service related issues. I've noticed that this location is often out of things more than the one in Lakewood but I live closer to this one now so I'll deal. The only issue that I have had so far with this Target has nothing to do with Target itself (unless you want to blame them for not having outside security). I have had people come up directly behind me to ask for money while I am with my toddler and putting her in her car seat. At night, this can be rather frightening and so I have learned to watch my back and be aware of everyone a bit more closely. This happened at the one in Tacoma often too though, it's just something I was hoping to get away from once I moved. read more

Worst service I've ever received. Getting talked down to by a sixteen year old is what you face when shopping at this location. I'll never shop here again. They offer a promotion then go out of their way not to honor it. Though their policy states that regardless of if wic checks are used, when you buy $100 in formula you get a gift card to Target, they refused to honor it though between the formula I was buying ($170 worth) and other groceries I was spending at least $250, instead I walked out and took my business elsewhere. read more

I love shopping Target, but this store has become obsessed with curbing couponers... They are constantly changing their coupon policy and micro manage the cashiers because of it. It's made my shopping trips there very unpleasant. And I'm not an extreme couponer. It's become so extreme on their part, that it has become offensive and has me mentally prepare myself before getting to the checking out (if I'm going to use any coupons) because of the cashiers and managers disagreeable attitudes towards Coupon users. My first time to this store and as I am pulling into the parking lot a kid runs from the store with a Target shopping basket of clothing and jumps into the backseat of a car and it speeds away. I witnessed someone steal from the store as I parked and went immediately to customer service and reported what I saw. I had the license plate number and everything and she took a rough description, not the plate information and asked a co-worker, she reported she saw it as well but did nothing. Then I went shopping, I typically shop at the one at the South Hill Mall, but this one was next to my bank so I figured all Targets are the same. Wrong. At the check out I was informed that THIS particular store does not let you use Gift Cards from a previous transaction for the next purchase. Meaning, like I did, I purchased $75 in diapers and could not use the $10 gift card to purchase the other items I had. I would have to make a separate trip to buy a mascara and package of pacifiers. I can imagine that couponing and doing this multiple times that this would be a hassle, but I have never had this happen before since NO OTHER TARGET HAS THIS POLICY. I had a few food items covered by EBT so fine after she told me I couldn't use the card, I used my Target RedCard, because we have a one year old and a two year old and shop at Target A LOT. The card reader wasn't working. So fine, no mascara and pacifiers. That is going not going to end well. So I asked if I could go to another cashier, use the gift card and buy the pacifiers. She was completely frazzled and said no and rescanned all my purchases and we had to start over for some reason. Finally a manager came over and ALLOWED me to use the card this time, after 20 minutes of trying to check out. I have been to Target countless times and had coupons, Cartwheel app, Target REDCard, WIC checks and 2 babies and never had this much trouble checking out. It was ludicrous that the store, THIS STORE would be so critical to how their PAYING customers make their purchases and then completely not involved in their NON-PAYING customers. I was embarrassed and stressed out after visiting this location and I will not return. I have already completed the survey on my receipt and contacted corporate Target. read more

Wish I could leave zero stars. This store consistently violates corporate coupon policy and is rude to customers. I have reported them to corporate in regards to their deviation from corporate policy who their store manager Shelby claims that she can make up her own policy which is completely not true. I don't know how many times people are going to have to report this store before they comply with the rules. From now on I'm driving farther away to shop at another store even though this one is a mile from my house. It's a shame I have to do that since I have shopped at target for years and have lived all across the U.S, been a red card holder since 2011. Worst customer service in all of America!!! Went to Target tonight to return some items I received at my baby shower. Noticed I was given a lesser price than what was currently in the store. Brought the product up to register to explain what I noticed. Ended up having to explain myself about four times to different people. Eventually a manager came over who seemed to be very irritated with my request. She never spoke to me or my friend that I was with. We asked for the items back and were told they were already put back on the floor. We sat and waited for over ten minutes to get the items back. Decided to just go get it ourselves since they had now turned the lights off on the customers in the store and it was only 10 o'clock. The manager sent someone to "help" or more like watch us. I got the items back and while walking out of the store. The manager decided to let me know her name was LAKISHA. Worse service ever and to have it come from a manager is even worse. They do not care about the customer at all at this location and it is clear. I will be calling the corporate office to report this. read more

By far my favorite Target compared go the other Targets in or around the Puyallup area. This one is about 10 times cleaner than most other locations. They also always seem to have more variety of products than the other stores: more sizes, styles, etc. This one doesn't get as busy either, there are always less people here, which makes for a better shopping experience. The best Target in the world!!! This is "our Target." I know several of the staff, just from coming into the store a few times a week. Everyone there is always friendly, despite the chaos they are sometimes dealt. Jenny is always the nicest person and I love that she remembered me from the beginning. She and Van are always smiling and happy to help. I can't think of a single negative experience at this store. Everyone is always willing to go above and beyond to help me find items. read more

Love this Target, I go all the time. The employees are super friendly and I love that they let them be themselves here (tattoos, piercings/gauges, etc). If the lines get too long they will scramble to find people immediately so you aren't stuck waiting. read more

This location only gets a 3-- Target should always be a five star in my book because I so easily love their clothes, shoes, accessories, beauty cosmetics, food, home decor etc... BUT the shift managers at this store come off so rude!!! There is one in particular- just the other day she was working on Thursday August 23 evening. There were two lanes open (what, is this Walmart?!). There were three people in front of my line and employees standing around (how annoying). The shift manager had an employee open a new register (awesome!!) - I went to this register then heard the shift manager say to the cashier "the lines weren't even that long these people were standing so far apart it looked long"..... to which I rolled my eyes, but didn't allow them to see me (not true and why even say that especially loudly enough for a customer to hear you?!) I then purchased two bottles of nail polish... separate bottles. I had scanned them on the cartwheel app, no special came up but there were signs posted saying "buy one get one 25% off all SINGLE bottles". I took a picture to ensure I would get this deal. Sure enough at the register the second bottle was scanned, but no discount was shown. I explained to her the deal and showed her the pic of the sale posted on nail polish displays. I had an Essie bottle and a bottle of Sally Hansen that comes in a clear box. The shift manager was called over to verify the deal. She took my phone and then said "it has to be a single bottle".... I said "these are single bottles." She said "no it has to be not in a box..." I said "that's not what it says, it says all SINGLE bottles, how many bottles are in the clear box?" She said "ya, but it has to be a single bottle....." I simply said "whatever, forget it- it's not worth the fight for a $1.25 off..." the manager walked away didn't say sorry or anything. WE ALL KNOW TARGET EMPLOYEES CAN ADD DISCOUNTS. I had a coupon for mascara that didn't ring up for some reason and the cashier was about to enter $1 off. I'm not sure why this shift manager had such a power trip?! Even the lady behind me in line said "that's ridiculous, it's one bottle!!" I was going to go to customer service, but when I went to leave the same rude manager had moved over there. I love this Target because of its merchandise and location.... but PLEASE get rid of this shift manager girl. She is running on a power trip, never acknowledges you or asks how you are, and lack customer service in general. read more

I am extremely happy with my experience at this location. I typically never go to south hill although I was in the area and needed to return an item. I bought an item for full price and then a week later had a great deal on the items online. I bought the items on sale and planned to take back the the ones I paid full price for. I had difficulties at the other target location and they would only give me the sale price even though I had bought the items less than 2 weeks ago. South hill location understood the situation and it may of taken a little more effort to try and figure out the system but they gave me what I paid for the items and had wonderful and extremely helpful customer service! read more

Horrible return policy. It was clear that I walked in with items that I needed to exchange for a bigger size (I got them for Christmas without a receipt). The man behind the customer service counter was being very short and rude with me. He said that they go back 90 days to see the lowest sale price of the items I was returning then they will refund them for that, then I would pay the full price difference! WHAT??? So the clothes that were bought at full price just a few weeks prior are now more expensive and Target is making a profit because I was given a gift without a receipt. This is wrong on so many levels. I used to LOVE Target, but now I will be shopping elsewhere. I can not condone a business that has shady business tactics like this. Shame on you Target. read more

Went today to return five items I had bought online. I ordered all five things at the same time, but they were shipped to me in three separate packages. I returned everything and four out of the five items easily returned. The fifth item wouldn't return. I had it in the packaging it came in with tags attached and the receipt it shipped with. They tried to return it with the receipt and then even tried using my card that I purchased it with to look up my order. The manager, Bethany, said that my order couldn't be found. How can that be when I have the receipt right there? She told me she couldn't return it and then tried to give me a 1-800 customer service number to call. I told her she needed to call for me and get this figured out. I was well within the return time frame, so there's no reason this shouldn't be easily returned. She told me I needed to call because they will ask for my card info. I then insisted she call on my behalf and it's a good thing I did because they asked her for her store number, employee number, etc. all info I wouldn't have known. After at least 20 minutes on the phone she decided to give me a refund in cash and only refunded the price of the item and did not refund the tax! Bethany was not pleasant to work with and not once did she apologize. She seemed as though I was inconveniencing her. I know we all have our bad days and maybe she was having one, but I will never shop online from Target again and I hope I never have to complete a transaction with Bethany again. read more

I called target to see if they had a stroller that my grandmother got for me in blue instead of pink. The lady I was transferred to was extremely rude from the time she answered the phone to the time she hung up. I asked her if she could find out if their carried the blue stroller and she rudely replayed she need the number. I said I have the item number, but she quickly corrected me no some sku #. I let her know that I didn't know what that was and the rudeness continued with explaining what it was. When she finally understood what stroller I was looking for, she said it was an on-line only item that my grandmother couldn't have seen it on display because they don't have it (just saying my grandmother is a liar). I asked if she could look if other stores carried it and she again being rude said NO! When it says on-line most likely meant no other store would have it. I simply said okay and then she hung up before I could ask for a manager. I didn't get her name or information. This lady needs to stop working with customers because if she doesn't I can say that Target will loose customers at this location. Target needs to find this worker and have a strong talk with her and maybe send her to a customer service training. I am so floored by her behavior and surprised target would allow an employee that is representing them as a company in customer service talk to a customer that way. What a joke read more
