A couple of visits to this particular Costco location and not overwhelmed or rushed starting with parking the car and browsing around the store. For some odd reason, other locations like Federal Way and Southcenter, you really have to fight for a parking space since it is always super crowded there! Then you have to maneuver yourself quickly once you are inside the store because everybody else is in a frickin' rush!! Not to mention that the Checkout lines get really long at all times. Anyway, was able to browse around nicely from the electronics to produce to frozen foods to drinks to others. A few of the products were on sale. It was very easy to go around to find what I was looking for without someone following me from behind or getting in my way without them paying attention to their whereabouts. read more

Have stopped for gas here many times!! Tonight was the 1st time I've been in the actual store. All staff members were super nice and helpful. I had some Christmas gifts to return and I waited less than 5 minutes in line. The guy who helped me was nice, professional and super fast. The customer service is great. The people are really, really nice here. The selection is OK. I've been to bigger Costco's with a better selection, but this one is decent. The value is good cause you're definitely saving money. The parking is horrendous to me as a pain in the butt to get in and out of this location, but if you need to run in, nothing is ever quick, but you know it's a good place to go large parking lot always busy. You're never going to find a quick In-N-Out Spot Unless the sun is shining on you and God has blessed you for the day but I definitely say yes go to. read more

It feels silly to write a review for Costco, but this is my favorite location! If you're over the age of, let's say, 25 or so, Costco is a utopia that all of a sudden makes you want to get your life together and simultaneously spend your life savings in one trip. How could you not love it?? Something that does set this apart from Costcos in the area (Fed Way, Tacoma) is the parking lot never feels like a fight for my life. Sure, there's been busy times, but nothing that was stressful or had me looking for a spot for any longer than 5 minutes. Of course the highlight of Costco is the prices. The fact that I can get a giant tub of taco seasoning for barely more than what I would get small packet at the grocery store for? Amazing. The fact that I can get 40 Honest juices for just a little more than what I buy 12 at the grocery store for? Phenomenal. The fact that Kirkland boxed wine (4 bottles in a box) is delicious and only $13?! Truly beautiful. Staff here that I've interacted with has always been really nice. Bathrooms have always been clean. I think my only gripe is that their food court is a little on the small side in comparison to other locations. And you KNOW I'm not getting out of here without a Costco hot dog or slice of pizza, so I'm very well-versed in this part of the store. My love for Costco runs so deep and always will. Costco since when does a Customer need to show membership Twice. Unless I was picked among all 12 customers coming out. I went in on a Sunday in February showed my Membership then went to get food. And Tammie stopped me in front of many shoppers making their way out. She Targeted me. Was in my Ethnicity, only thing I can think of Since your job is to check the receipts of others to make sure things were properly paid for and purchase. You made the choice to stop me in my 5-year-old to see my membership card. When I've already showed it when I entered at the entrance. I don't think I needed to show it at the exit. While I'm a huge fan of Costco this is possibly my least favorite location. True to all Costcos: you must pay to play (memberships start at $60), but the playing field is worth the money! Looking for lunch? Hit up the food court or find some samples (which they've started doing again!). Car tires, alcohol, foods, home décor, prescriptions, etc. etc - Costco is very good at taking care of your household's basic needs while dangling awesome stuff in your face that you didn't know that you needed -- but you can't live without! They also have a variety of auto, trip, cruise, etc. offers. The one thing I really don't like about this location is the overall layout of the store. It's one of the smaller stores which means less selection, but the layout of the store, especially in the back, tends to create bottlenecks and I hate it. I already get miffed when people block the aisles with their cart, but add in that bottleneck? And then there's the gas station. I wanted to get gas, but after looking at the layout I noped right on out of there! Went to this location once. Don't feel like coming back. read more

Store is clean and nice...one main big negative...their famous cheesecake has now changed for the worse and the price went up. It now just tastes bland and isn't that nice dense rich cheesecake as before.... I confirmed this with a girl that works there.. she said the bagels.... same thing.. they changed them for the worse.... really depressing. This Costco is pretty close to perfect... the bakery is top notch and the assortment of adult beverage bulk buys is a steal... we stopped in to stock up for my best friend's wedding and found everything we needed including 48 ft bulb string lights, muffins in bulk, misc snacks and a solid 3Liter bottle of Prosecco for roughly $42 before tax... that's 4 bottles in one... a lot of people near us wanted to grab one as soon as we rang it up.... it was/is a great deal... We also nabbed a truly great deal with a Truly Spiked Seltzer 24 pack... where else but Costco... right? I don't personally go to Costco too. I usually tag for the experience with friends or family as Costco doesn't cater to this vegan as much as I wish they did... but they do carry a small assortment of frozen plant based products from morning star, etc. and some great deals on vegetarian and vegan friendly snacks... most of the bagels or kosher for veggies like myself (made with no milk or eggs). Costco is a great place for large families or people who tend to only shop once a month or so in terms of food but also great for planning the holidays, special events, and getting out of the house for those free samples they have daily, but in abundance on weekends. Check out is pretty fast especially if you leave your heavy items in you cart with the bar tag/code of the product facing up or towards your Costco Clerk. The boxes they provide are pretty sturdy for lose items and the service is perfection. Even though this is a pretty large location... so much so that I forgot where the entrance was by they time we left... (right by the exit on the way past the food court area where they have self service kiosk for ordering food so you don't have to wait in line)... one thing I really enjoy about this C-Warehouse is you still get a sense of small town/neighborhood/local/everyone's welcome kind of vibes when you stop in as well as complete your experience and what more could you want from a store that almost has everything.... and in "wambo." read more

Last year, I had a not-so-great experience with the South Hill Puyallup Costco Tire Center. I spent 8 months getting more and more frustrated as I contemplated my issue and the original response when contacting the tire center. But then, a former worker told me to call the corporate office and share my experience. That call resulted in a call from the regional manager and from the store tire center manager. They fixed the issue and restored my faith in their service. This week, I ended up with a large bolt stuck into the sidewall of my right front passenger side tire. I called the South Hill Puyallup Costco Tire Center where I got my tires and they got me right in. Not only were they fantastic, but, upon learning my tire had to be replaced, I was told I only had to pay the difference between what I originally paid and what the same tire costs now. It turns out my tread was still like new. So, an hour out of my evening and $59 later, I departed Costco a very happy customer. Thank you, Costco for one, restoring my faith in quality customer service and two, getting me out of a jam expediently. Cheers! read more

Our membership fee rewards are always equal to or over our annual membership fee. So worth it! Wild caught Salmon seems expensive but investing in your health and tasty food a package of 9 individually wrapped you will not find for less! They are so consistent in allowing returns. It's Costco ‍ nothing special or terrible about this one in particular. The gas station seems to move pretty fast and usually has some of the cheapest gas in town, unless you go to the Tahoma owned stations. The lines can get long, but that's Costco for you. Most of the staff doesn't know anything expect their one location. If you ask someone working on folding clothes if they know where a product is, they don't. If you ask someone who is at the jewelry counter if they have a specific gift card back this year, they don't know. Save your time and go to customer service in the front. read more

Went to just get a couple of things during my work break. Went through the self check out and was trying to scan my Costco card. Admittedly, I was not very well-versed on how the self check out at Costco worked the attendant, name, Connie, walks up to me and says "you're doing this the totally wrong way" and then attempted to show me how to scan my card. I was a bit taken aback by her choice of wording even if I was doing it wrong. When I completed my check out, the video prompt on the screen, said "please wait for cashier". Since I am the customer, I didn't think that I was the "cashier". So, I asked our friend Connie again. Connie said "the cashier would be you, you would be the cashier". I looked at her and just said "of course. Self check out... Duh... I would be the cashier... Not the customer... I should know that." If Costco is hiring individuals to work in customer service, they may want to invest in giving them some soft skills. Very rude. read more

First, I want to say I'm not a frequent Costco shopper. I'm picking up water at Costco and I hear someone near me say think we can only get two cases of water but they don't see a sign anymore so they say it must not be the rule anymore. I picked up three cases(we normally get four)and finished up shopping. After getting everything cashed out, cashier tells me that only two cases of water are allowed but he will make an exception to give us three. I asked if there was a sign stating this? Cashier and checkout clerk both say it's everywhere. First and foremost, it's not everywhere just by the water area. I walk to the area to take some pictures and the clerk followed me(even though I didn't ask for) and pointed out where the signs were located. First sign was a fine print under the price(who even look at the prices of water after shopping for water after 30 years?) I'm getting older so had to climb over water cases to even read it. Second sign says take two but away from the area where I was picking up my water. Maybe Costco should hire full time employees to police the area to make sure we only take two cases of water. It sure looks like they are slowly taking away jobs from cashiers. More self checkout now than before. Also, Costco, if you are increasing these self checkout lines for those who only have few items, maybe you should put up a sign indicating that(10 items or less). I've seen some people in the line with over 10 items. If you are increasing them so anyone can use them, do you realistically believe weight sensor(not sure what it's called) in the check out is big enough for the household that buy a full load on a flat cart dolly? Just my thoughts. When did it get to a point where employees are right and customers are wrong? Don't get me wrong, employees were right that there were signs that they put up. So of course you can see them. For us non frequent shoppers that are aging, it's not so obvious. So don't lecture us as if we are kids in front other customers! read more

I love cosco for the bigger items that I have to purchase such as toilet paper, paper towels, dog food, frozen food items, and canned goods. It is difficult at times when looking for meat and items that come from the deli because either they are pre made or in large packages that don't break down to smaller ones very easy. I do love the variety of items they carry here in both locations into Tacoma as well as Federal Way. They have a wide variety of alcoholic beverages as well as non alcoholic beverages such as juices and water that is flavored. Lots of pet supplies as well as cleaning supplies available at both locations. I will continued to purchase things specifically at cosco for that reason read more

I went to Costco for tires, I talked to 3 different salesmen about buying tires they did a very bad job on communicating with me. They lacked respect and had little knowledge about tires as I am a automotive technician so I know more than they thought. I will never go back and tell ally friends about my visit. Rachelle was scanning my groceries at checkout. Sh was incredibly disrespectful because I was trying to use a visa gift card that my wife had to pay. She practically yelled at my wife to stop touching the pin pad because she wasn't the one paying or holding the membership card. Not sure why someone scanning groceries would take it seriously enough to disrespect paying customers. We were very polite to her but before the whole gift card thing she off the bat had a horrible attitude. She not only held us up at checkout but held up the line behind us. I've been to Costco stores before. Big warehouse and lots of products. This one is huge. I went on a Saturday midday and it was crowded but not so bad you can't move with your cart. I find most everything I needed there. Upon checkout the cashier asked if I going everything. I told her if the one item I couldn't find. She immediately had someone look up the item. Unfortunately it isn't carried right now. But she said be sure to check back as they do as items frequently. I appreciated the effort. My overall impression is very good. There's always room for improvement. For this store, it's better signage for the restrooms. If you didn't know they are at the far end past the registers, good luck finding them. I know it seems like a little thing but not to someone needing the restrooms. I plan to return here. read more

Well I wanted something small to eat like pizza and a drink. They start yelling at me that they do not accept card, and can only accept cash, or to pay with a Kiosk. Like wtf is a Kiosk. So before you want something small to eat? I recommend going elsewhere otherwise you would be yelled at. POOR ASS MANAGEMENT AND DRY ASS FOOD. Out of all the Costco's I've been to, this one seems to have the shortest wait time (if one at all) for gas. The warehouse itself is similar enough to rest. Every time I've been in, I've always found what I was looking for in a timely manner, and have made a mental note of the overall cleanliness. Costco sells a cod from Alaska and tag wild in the refrigerator area. We bought three pack ,well the first one was no taste and chewy. We toss it. Tonight we try the second one , the same thing. I highly suggest don't buy this cod in less you like to waste your money. read more

Of course there is no such thing as a perfect business, but Costco sure tops my personal list! I shop here 1-2x per week. I buy nearly all of my groceries to feed a semi-large family. Most of the employees are friendly and helpful. Most of the checkers are funny and I really enjoy that. I saw the optometrist for the first time recently and to my surprise, they did a great job. It was quick and they have all the up-to-date imagining so you don't have to get your eyes dilated. My only suggestions to managers would be: keep the popular items stocked, train the checker/baggers to be careful with the bread and avocados! And for the new employees checking receipts, please don't profile. I know that sounds a bit harsh but sometimes they will quadruple the time spent looking at the carts of dark folks while not even batting an eye at the lights' carts. I am kind of late on writing this review for Costco but honestly.. I have coming to this Costco since the 4th grade. My dad used to own grocery stores/ gas stations and therefore bought most bulk items at Costco! I have some fun memories about Costco:) riding on the orange cart (3 daughters, my dad has) and he would have to roll us around and if he wasn't buying that much, we would end up sitting on the bottom layer of the regular cart... Oh the good ol' days when we used to be able to fit :/ Now... it's my sisters and I who have to push the cart! I loveeeeeee sampling their foods! It's not as good as it used to be with the yummy foods- nowadays... its ehh.. We have been shopping at this local Costco for roughly 1 1/2 years now and I feel this yelp review is LONG overdue! This Costco has the BEST customer service I have ever experienced​. (I've been a member off and on over the years as my family has moved around for over 2 decades as an adult, even longer as my parents were also longtime​ Costco Members.) The wait times for checkout here are very reasonable considering the volume of sales they produce. All of the warehouse staff members, the optometry department, and also the third party vendors at this store have been helpful anytime we have questions. This is for there food court. There pizza has gone to crap. They sell pepperoni pizzas with no pepperoni in the 6 inch diameter of the center of the pizza. They also sell there pizzas with huge dough bubbles on the edge of the pie , that is not even desirable to consume. I mentioned it to a food court employee and they said that is the way they have always done it. I have been Costco member for 25 plus years. And there pizzas have never been this bad. Since the Covid 19 pandemic, they have gotten cheap on there pizzas. read more

Used to come to this Costco all the time but after being followed and harassed by their loss prevention and manager for no reason at all Because their loss prevention guys "thought" he seen me put something into my little bag. I no longer feel safe coming here. I feel targeted and truly feel that this guy is targeting women shopping alone. We spend a lot of money here and I know they won't miss my money but I always held Costco to a better standard than most stores. This Costco is the bastion of poor selection. Whenever a new product is introduced to customers you can count on two things happening at Puyallup Costco. 1. Not enough product is available 2. If it is popular, you will never see it again. We often solve this issue by going to Tacoma or Federal Way, which seems to be better stocked and offer more variety. This Costco takes a very conservative approach to product ordering and it could learn from other local Costcos. The only things that are excellent at this Costco are new ordering machines at the food court and ease of transiting in the store. Customer service here depends on the mood of the store, sometimes it's pleasant and sometimes it's not. read more
