This is what a liquidation store should be. There used to be a number of different types like this and they were always my favorite, this is no exception. Start off for saying that the produce is absolutely amazing at a really really good price. Once you head inside it's a treasure hunt. Sometimes they have what you need and sometimes they don't. I've seen other reviews on this we'll talk about expiration dates, which I think of as a suggestion. There's no way that a box of stuffing mix or other dried good is going to be expired by the time that that date rolls around. But if you're somebody who really pays attention to that you probably should look at the dates before you purchase, for me doesn't matter I'm buying getting a good deals and I'm very happy with this location read more

I really like coming to this place with my mom. It's pretty much an indoor outdoor fruit that liquidator store surprised at the goodies that the fruit selection is above and beyond exceptional. You might get a few that I have bumps and bruises but as for a fruit, everything is ready to eat at the time you get it no waiting I also like to look inside as well because they have a large variety of foods and fun items, even dog food and cat litter. I definitely would suggest this place to anybody. They do have their own parking lot as well. read more

I had no idea what to expect from this place. The pictures and review don't do it justice. If I had to describe it, I would call it an independent Grocery Outlet. It had a lot of produce. I didn't pay a lot of attention to it, but it did look very ripe and a little dirty, that said, all produce is dirty and most stores wash and sort it before putting it on display. Lots of closeouts here on grocery, I saw a lot of items I've never seen like Tropical 7-Up, Cheeseburger Doritos, etc I also saw cleaning supplies and other oddities. Reminded me of a small chain that used to exist called Liquidation World, however, they didn't have produce or a lot of food, they had closeout items and more hardware in their stores. I purchased mayo that was spoiled with a bad oder. The mayo was expired. The store was contacted and informed of the issue. The store refused to give a refund. They offered a store credit which wouldn't resolve the issue of a bad product. The store said signs were posted with no refund which I've never seen. The majority of the signs are badly hand written as though they're written by a 3rd grader. A lot of the fruit and vegetables are in very poor condition but still on display to sell. This place needs to thoroughly inspected for the safety of the community. The board of health should conduct unannounced inspections and hold them accountable. read more

I was unwelcome in the store this afternoon. I drove across town to come here. I should have stuck to my original plan and went to Tacoma Boys where I would have been treated with kindness. I've shopped here for years. I like the surprise of not knowing what cool stuff they'll have. The woman working this afternoon was obviously tweaking very badly. She kept staring at me. I asked for the restroom key, like I've done many times in the passed and she said no restroom for the public. She seemed suspicious of me after that. I have pelvic floor issues and OAB but I can understand people steal so it's reasonable for them to no longer offer restrooms. I knew I had to hurry as I can't hold it long. I went to the pet food area and left my cart up above as this is a small store and that area is tight. It's hard to navigate around each other. Within 5ish minutes she had taken my cart away. I was shocked when I went back above. She informed me I broke the rules by leaving the cart. Wtf. I totally understand not leaving a cart for an excessive amount of time. Everything gone. She offered NO help to get my items and she shrugged indifferently. It's wild NOT to say loudly "hey is this anyone's cart?" and just take it away in 5 minutes. There was a very cool planter I was so excited about. She had No interest in retrieving it. It was the last one in the store. I told another employee I'd really wanted the planter. She stared at me with blank eyes, saying nothing. The employee who took the cart seemed satisfied that she punished a customer who was in the wrong. I didn't need everything in my cart but I was having a fun shopping experience that was ruined by a hostile atmosphere. I left without my items. read more

Cool place for goods at a low price. You know what to expect here. Some stuff is close to expiration date, and stuff that needs to be used within the next day or so. Produce has some good selections. They have many drink items, canned and boxed foods, olive oil, home and pet items, some clothes, and more. They just don't carry frozen foods, meats, seafood, or dairy products. Folks at the store are really friendly here too. They do have a board at the registers to inform you on what specials they have on discounts. Example: Mondays are military day 10% off/ Tuesdays are senior 55+ days for 10% off. They take Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. If you pay in cash, they will discount you 5%. Look for the yellow standing banners. They are also located right across the street from the Planet Fitness and Sonic. read more

My Favorite Discount Produce Store in Tacoma Area It really is a hit or miss on what they have but the fresh produce is so cheap that it is usually worth the drive from Lakewood area. I absolutely love shopping here! I've never been disappointed by the selections not the pricing. And the customer service is amazing! I had a coworker whose bank account was frozen due to someone stealing his bank card and using it. He couldn't access his account to even get enough money to buy groceries. After driving by numerous times wondering what this place was all about, we finally stopped. If you aren't worried about a printed expiration date and produce that isn't as pretty as it may be at another big box location, this place is for you. We have stopped in a few times now. Prices are great, selection is plentiful, produce is all delicious, and the staff is very friendly. It's worth stopping in and exploring. You'll get exactly what's noted in their store name- loads of liquidated items but not everything was a steal in terms of value. Tons of overstock items ranging from non-perishable pantry items (think spices, teas, seasonal goods, cereals, snacks, etc.) to cleaning supplies, small housewares, toys and everything in between. Their produce quality isn't high up there and I assume it can be a hit or miss depending on shipments they receive. I managed to score some good looking baby bok choy and fingerling potatoes at less than market price. Though the asparagus one day, for example, was priced higher here than Safeway. I'd also skip the pre-bagged aromatics like shallots and onions as they looked one day away from being in the compost heap. They also sell fruits and veggies by the box so if you juice regularly like me, you'd get a good deal on these. Overall, I would probably make a stop once in a blue moon though I wouldn't rely on them to meet my weekly/bi weekly grocery needs. Note: Buyer beware! make sure you check on expiration dates of ALL your cart items. I considered buying some Godiva Easter chocolates until I read it had expired last year. They carry items from seasons pasts and well beyond their shelf life. 2nd note: get a nice discount on your total purchase if you pay with cash but credit cards are accepted. read more

Sure I could go across the street to the $1 store, but I'd rather pay 10¢ more for an item if it means it's going to a local business and supporting their family/staff. My mother, mother/father-in-law, husband, and I all swear by this store! They have a giant selection of candy as well, sugar free, too! So this is a great place to buy stocking stuffers, party favors, and for those days where you just need a bag of m&ms. They also offer weekly specials! And college student discounts. On their Facebook page, the owner advertises the new stock and informs everyone of awesome deals! She also sometimes does drawings. You just can't beat the prices at Valley Liquidation! Probably the best advantage to going here is their produce. They have a wide and diverse amount of veggies and fruits for excellent prices. Inside the store they have lots of variety for cheap. There is an impressive candy and tea sections! They have lots of potato and corn chips too. They had samples out for one kind of chip. I am not sure if it was sitting in the sample box for a long time or not but the taste of the chip was very stale. Not a good sales enhancer when the chips do not taste good. I had read the reviews and had an idea of what to expect. Reviews said the produce was not good. I disagree. The produce was actually quite decent and at good prices. They also had a few potted plants. (All outside) There's plenty of grocery items inside, but most are out of date. A month or two out of date is acceptable. Some things were over a year out of date. The prices were not that much less than stores like Walmart. That being said, there were a few bargains. Spices were only a dollar. Pasta was .69. Chips that were only a month out of date were a dollar. Lots of candy to choose from. They also have a few toiletries and toys in the back. I would stop there again if I were in the area. read more

I just went today after the parking lot was re-paved and it was great not to fight for a spot. Everyone I encountered was friendly and helpful. My new place for cheap produce and other goodies. Keep in mind some items are expired or near expiration but not all things are like that here. As you know this country has to put expire dates on items but that item may still good past the date. We just see a number and begin to freak out. How many times have you bought a yogurt or sour cream and it was good a month after? Just sayin... I have awesome friends who find places like these once I find out through them..I'm all over it. GPS your way here. Worth the trip if you live within the area. There is some space outdoors where the produce it kept but covered from the elements. Inside has all other consumable and non consumable items. This is my new 'go to' place for the lowest cost produce hands down though when I feel like driving the distance. On the day I went $2.99 for a flat of blackberrys? Really? SOLD worth the trip just for them. A case of 12 Vita Coca Coconut water $6.99. Last I checked in the regular market when not on sale they go for $2.49 sometimes less per individual container. I heard the day before pineapple were 2/$1 but this day was .99 cents ..SOLD anyway. Honey crisp apples were I think $1.24 lb which is the cheapest I've seen anywhere..SOLD bought some of them and other goodies. Left happy so this is my duty to get the word out. Great prices on produce! Went in looking for fruit for fruit kabobs that I'm making for a brunch. They had a very wide variety of different items. I ended up with : 4 granny smith apples (good sized) 4 Crimson Pears (never had them before but they sounded interesting) 1 Pineapple (good sized) 1 Organic Orange Honeydew (also new to me, but what the heck we'll give it a go) and One container of Strawberries All for under $7! Here's the kicker though....some of their produce was VERY ripe. I had wanted peaches, but all of their peaches were so ripe they probably should have been eaten like yesterday. Some of the strawberries looked less than appealing too, but I did manage to get a good batch. All in all I'll totally be back, just gotta pick through some slightly over ripe fruit to find the good stuff. read more

I have been shopping here since it was across the street, over 10 years. They carry all kinds of food products and some hard to find culture foods (Asian, Mexican etc). Lots of produce and some organic as well. Some things are close or out of sell by date, but most foods are good to over a year past this date, feel free to Google. Parking is tight, but I have always fond a spot. Staff is friendly and helpful. In short, this place can save you a ton of money! Also a great place to try foods you never have as they are cheaper there. They also carry beauty, house, car and other items.
