Excellent store location and a great place to find discounted shoes. Personally I have not found many plus size garments here but one needs to stop by frequently for the best bargains. Don't overlook shopping at the regular Nordstrom store! They have many marked down items that are far less than The Rack. I miss the old Nordstrom location inside the mall. The current location just doesn't feel right. It gives me bad energy. The staff at this location are courteous. The selection here is questionable BUT they get a lot of customers so keep stopping back. Again, the regular store is likely to have what you are looking for so try both the same day. read more

I've been shopping for 30 years at Nordstrom and Nordstrom rack. The reason I shop there is their customer service, the quality of their items, and their return policy. I had to purchase a pair of dress shoes, and I specifically asked the salesperson when I told her that they were a little tight, but was assured that they would loosen up upon wear and if they didn't, that I could return them. I thought, "that's why I love Nordstrom's." Fast forward two hours, and I had a huge blister on the inside of my big toe. I had to remove the shoes and switch into tennis shoes, which did not match my suit at all. But, I knew I could return the shoes, so I was OK with that. I took the shoes back and was told by a sales clerk and by the manager, "Finn," that I could not return the shoes because they had been worn outside. I explained to her that I specifically asked that when I purchased them earlier and was assured that I could. She said that didn't matter because there were scuffs on the sole of the shoe. I said I would take store credit and she said "aren't you listening, I said we could not take them back." I would avoid this Nordstrom's rack, find another or better yet, just skip them altogether - they are not what they used to be, they do not stand behind their products, and they do not stand behind their word. read more

Who doesn't love a Nordstrom rack the prices are great even though I have realized they've gone up a little more almost full retail to be honest with you. The parking is chaotic because it's a large lot. That's always busy and shared with other stores, but the selection value and prices are good so pick your own battles read more

Ehh...I hover between three and four stars with this Nordstrom Rack. While they have some nice, discounted prices compared to a regular Nordstrom's I typically don't find anything that I can live without. I y=usually am more apt to find something to my liking at a regular Nordstrom's but I wouldn't quite count myself as a regular shopper there either. By and large it's more of a preference thing really more than anything else. While I do love acquiring clothes...and from an observer's point of view that may look like I am not picky at all with what I get I actually am more picky than it would look. So that really has nothing to do with quality of product of service really. Just preference. Moving away from preference however is the parking to get to the cluster of stores where this store is at. It's often a tight squeeze and and very congested to navigate through here. Other driver's get mixed up at the Stop signs or simply don't care and one can risk a collision. That's why if I go to this sector of stores I park over in the main mall parking lot and get in and out from the main mall routes rather than navigating through all the pedestrians and cars. This Nordstrom Rack is located in close proximity to the Tacoma Mall. I liked the cleanliness and organization of this store compared to other Nordstrom Racks nationwide. I found the items I was looking for relatively easy. The shoes were priced at a very good discount and I didn't really care about the color arrangements. Check-out was easy. I didn't request a plastic bag even though the price would have been 8 cents. Parking is relatively easy and can be walking distance to the main mall shops. read more

My mom and I were shopping for dresses to wear to my daughter's wedding. Mom found one she loved and it was marked down from $300 something to like $129. It rung up at full price and the cashier wouldn't honor the mark down even though "the writing looks familiar" The manager came and explained that the dress had been part of a sales event at Nordstrom but now that it was at NR it was full price...wth?! It's Nordstrom RACK! Mom reluctantly bought it but was SO happy to find another dress and return this one! Note to manager: a little service goes a long way! read more

This is the nicest rack I've been in. There wasn't clothing all over the floor, things were organized and where they were supposed to be. It was one of the smaller stores that I've seen, but it was nice and organized. The woman helping us was awesome and it was nice to get Nordstrom level service, at a rack. Brand new Nordstrom Rack next to the Tacoma Mall! So nice to have a location in the South Sound instead of having to drive to Southcenter or Auburn. Went at 10:30am on a Monday and it was surprisingly busy. Everyone is coming to check it out. Store employees were super nice. Moderate size store with good selection, but some racks were empty or needed to be refreshed. I don't know if that's because they are short-handed (which they are), or because they haven't had a chance to get to things with the crazy crowds they've had. The mens shoe selection here a wild! There seem to be supply chain shortages all over the place but not here. They always have tons of clothes and a crap ton of shoes. What they don't have in store, they have online. I recently bought my wedding shoes here as well as several work shirts and they never disappoint. read more

I have been getting my orders delivered at the Southcenter Nordstrom Rack for quite some time now. It is always easy (even with the sometimes long lines) to grab my things and go, and I've even been addressed by my name (I'm almost embarrassed, because I shop too much! Ha ha) while I'm in line. I went to visit this Nordstrom Rack when I was in town visiting family. It is HANDS DOWN THE BEST NORDSTROM RACK AROUND. Tacoma needed one and now not having to drive to Auburn or Tukwila is great and saves gas. The store upon walking in was tidy and clean, it is a new building and it is beautiful inside. Everyone was so kind and hard at work. This Nordstrom's Rack opened about a month ago and will be busy for a few months especially with holidays shortly approaching. Give the workers a break and understand this is a brand new store and many people are coming from all over to visit this store. Was great and cheap and very busy, wife found what she wanted and I got what I needed
