From knives to pots and pans to kitchen gadgets you didn't think you would need until you see them. They even have makeup, hair products, clothes, and anything you can think of. It was so much fun roaming around this store, and they have a variety of the same item. For example, my goal was to get a butcher knife. They have big ones, small ones, heavy ones, ones with short handles, and ones with longer handles. I spent a long time picking one out to my liking. The inside feels like a big warehouse with everything neatly placed in a way that you can just walk up and down the aisles with ease. There was so much to look at that I felt like I spent close to an hour or more here. Some things were reasonably priced, while others were a little higher. It really depends on what you plan on getting from here. I almost got a wok from there but decided against it because the one on sale was a little bit too heavy for me. If you are in the area and love kitchen things, I would suggest going to Shin Shin to check it out. It was fun for me, and I plan to take my mom there on our next trip to Seattle. However, I might regret that decision later, because my mom would just spend her entire trip there and not want to leave. Haha, I will keep you posted on this. Parking is plentiful. Credit cards are accepted. One thing that caught my attention, though, was that the employees would stare you down after a little while. Instead of having security cameras, they have employees at every corner who would randomly show up next to you to ensure you are "shopping" and not stealing. If you are okay with having a personal bodyguard while you shop, then there would be no issues at all. Have fun!

It is a fairly large retail site that carried assorted housewares, some alcohol, restaurant gear, small appliances, bedding and linen, Korean hair & skincare products, and clothing. I was rather amused at the gigantic sizes of some bowls, woks, rice cookers, and cooking pots...literally could hold a toddler or two. As other Yelp posts have noted, they do have attentive store personnel that are at the ready should you have any questions. Unless you're a regular shopper, one will definitely be wandering and browsing every aisle since there are no overhead signage. After all that wandering, I did end up paying for a substantial back scratcher for The Homie and a floral print quilted vest for my mom. Both were reasonable and one was even on sale! Chalk it up to, you don't think you'll find anything in particular, but stop in Shin Shin for some momentary retail therapy.

The natural conversation turned to clothing, and Larry really was great. I had never heard of the Calder Caramel shirts and he spent time to educate me about the best colors for my skin type, the brand, etc. The shirts are not cheap, but neither am I, but still I decided to wait. He was not only accepting of that, but almost encouraging of it. But after leaving I turned around and went back in to buy the shirt. He had just closed the store, but opened the door and let me in to buy the shirt. He repeated if I have any troubles with it then do not hesitate to return it. I love the shirt, the service this store offers, and mostly the genuine and personable nature of these good folks. I will be back for more!

Ehh...I hover between three and four stars with this Nordstrom Rack. While they have some nice,…read morediscounted prices compared to a regular Nordstrom's I typically don't find anything that I can live without. I y=usually am more apt to find something to my liking at a regular Nordstrom's but I wouldn't quite count myself as a regular shopper there either. By and large it's more of a preference thing really more than anything else. While I do love acquiring clothes...and from an observer's point of view that may look like I am not picky at all with what I get I actually am more picky than it would look. So that really has nothing to do with quality of product of service really. Just preference. Moving away from preference however is the parking to get to the cluster of stores where this store is at. It's often a tight squeeze and and very congested to navigate through here. Other driver's get mixed up at the Stop signs or simply don't care and one can risk a collision. That's why if I go to this sector of stores I park over in the main mall parking lot and get in and out from the main mall routes rather than navigating through all the pedestrians and cars. So if there is anything that causes actual frustration it's that.

They had installed self checkouts. A miracle. Now, I happen to have a personal opinion that self-checkout use should require some type of training or license, but that's a separate issue. I was only buying one item, and I was about to be done checking out in less than thirty seconds flat. Or so I thought. As I walked happily towards the door, I heard a hoarse voice choking at me, "ma'am! MA'AM!" Was she croaking at *me*? "I need to verify your receipt." Sounds reasonable at first. I hadn't noticed a woman in a Loss Prevention uniform at a poorly placed kiosk where the tagging racks normally are. She was helping someone else. So I had to wait for her to finish scanning someone else's things, and then scan my receipt and scan my things. She wasn't doing a visual check like Costco does. She needed to physically scan every receipt and every item, and her scanner was slow, and she was bad at it. Her attitude was just so rude and gross, and she was so slow that it seemed intentional. Was she supposed to be loss prevention, or a decent cashier? Cause she was certainly not both. She was either the worst cashier I've ever come across, or she was deliberately slowing me down because she could tell I was in a hurry. It took her way longer to scan my items than it had taken me. And she acted like it was difficult and inconvenient to verify my one item. This entirely defeated the whole purpose of the self checkout. Ross ALMOST improved their awful checkout process. So close. As I was walking out, a couple of managers called our cheerfully, "That's cute! Have a good day!" It seemed like they knew that their 'lead checker' was bringing moods down, and this was their intervention. If Ross is going to put a lead checker at a bottleneck security check, it needs to be a decent, friendly checker, not a rude security officer who doesn't know her way around a POS. Other than that it was a good store.

I brought Gabriel a designer suit that still didn't feel right after store alterations. He was pretty honest--said the best it could become was a 7/10--and then went to work. He adjusted the shoulders, chest, sleeves, lapels, which required him to move every single button. It was literally a completely different suit. And for the first time, it actually fit the way it should. Since then, I've gone back for five custom suits, multiple shirts, and my favorite, an overcoat (which I'd avoided for years because of off-the-rack fit issues). Every item has come out perfectly tailored. If fit has always been a compromise for you, it's worth seeing what Gabriel can do. Adding some photos, but I'm not a fashion/textiles photographer. It's harder than it looks.

My posture is very upright and that just makes the chest issue even more difficult. There aren't many places in the US outside of New York that do real bespoke -- patterns cut from scratch. I'm glad I found Gabriel. He has a great understanding of classic men's style and proportions. The suit he made for me is very comfortable and continues to get better as the canvas takes the shape of my body. I keep looking for areas to make micro improvements for my next project with him. But to be honest, the fit is so good I'm not sure there's much to change other than experimenting with other styles, like a double breasted. I plan on commissioning something from him every year as long as I stay in Washington. The super tight, short jacket with the bum exposed, with skinny lapels was trending for a while on off the rack clothing. Even some made to measure places make suits like this. If you are looking for a suit to wear for the next 10 years, I encourage you to give Gabriel a try and have him make something timeless for you.
