Instead, I was met with the most shockingly rude, dismissive service I have ever encountered at any retail establishment. This one employee single-handedly cost your store a guaranteed $500 sale. I left empty-handed -- not because you didn't have what I needed, but solely because of her attitude. I took my business elsewhere, to someone who actually wanted to be there, and spent every dollar without hesitation. As a business owner myself, I would never allow someone with this disposition anywhere near a customer. One bad employee can undo everything you've built. Today, that's exactly what happened. I hopped on to check their hours and then fell down the rabbit hole of reading the comments and I was shocked!!! I started shopping at Kidz Kaboodle about two years ago when I discovered them. I felt uneasy my first time dropping off (hello, us anxious mamas plus baby hormones have us wild some times), but I did it and it was okay. I kept going back, and y'all-- the people who work there do their best! I've been in there while customers verbally assault them, threaten them, and argue like WILD.... Honestly I can't believe the behaviors of some of these grown women, and the workers do their best to navigate this. I take all my kids stuff there and trade them out for new to us stuff. I have found really great deals there and specifically love the quarter table. I read several comments about stuff smelling bad but honestly anything I've ever ever bought in there has been clean. Sometimes items on the quarter table may not be as clean, but those items have been donated and are being sold for a quarter, they are really doing a service to us the costumer. When my baby was young she had a poop mess and once the owner encouraged me and was so kind. I also needed a stroller once, and they taught me how to take it down and put it up. Once I was shopping for a carry pack, I'm a bigger mom, and they helped me find one that would fit without making me feel bad or trying on a million that didn't work-- she walked up to the rack and guaranteed me the one she grabbed would work-- and that was amazing. She didn't have time to help me put it on with the baby etc. because people were piling in but a customer helped me and now when we run into each other there it's so happy! I'm grateful for this store, for the owner, and the gals who work here. They try to give back to the community and go out of their way to do what they can. On trade in prices, we all wish we could get more from our items, but they have to make it work for the store and pay their employees as well. Honestly, I've decided that $40 credit is more than I had before and I can usually walk out with a full bag of stuff, especially if I look through the quarter table. I'll first say that this store is great for finding deals, if you don't mind digging! I will continue to shop here whenever I'm in the area. I am leaving a low rating review based on the service. The store and it's policies feel engineered to be at odds with customers. This makes the whole customer experience feel like they're defending themselves against the customers. I have been shopping when people come in to try and sell, and they're met with attitude and told they're basically "doing it wrong". One time I was buying some parts to a feeding system that I use with my breast pump, and they had pieces bagged up incorrectly. Parts were mixed that didn't go together. I considered fixing it for them, but thought it might look odd to be switching products between bags, so I asked if I could switch things and they told me no! I had to buy both bags. Today I had loaded up my car with baby things to get rid of, so I called while driving to inquire about selling. The person who answered asked if I had read about it online and seemed annoyed that I hadn't. Reading the website isn't something I could easily do while driving. She told me a bunch of times and days and limits to what they take. She explained I had to set up gear outside and a bunch of other stuff. I didn't have gear, just a couple of bags with nicer quality items I had planned to sell online, but didn't have time. I felt bad for calling, since it seemed to irritate this person. I was a bit overwhelmed and confused after the call, and decided to just take my things to donation. I image the experience would have been better if she had conversed with me vs. just reading off a list of their rules. What's actually prompted me to write this review is the experience I had at Value Village after deciding to skip Kidz Kaboodle. I just donated the items I had, and I thought I had accidentally donated my breast pump, so I called them shortly after donating and inquired about it. The person on the phone was incredibly kind and understanding. She said they would look for it for me tomorrow. I ended up finding it in my car later (I'm a mess with a new baby!). It was just such a surprising difference to be treated as an inconvenience at a resale shop and then to be treated so kindly by a Value Village employee! Such a weird day. read more

I love this store. It has a TON of selections at reasonable prices for all age ranges from birth-older toddler years. They accept donation or you can sell your items also. Make sure to call ahead to see if they are interested. They have a lot of stock. Hours vary, and days to sell too, so call to ask. They also have 25cent sales where you can score great deals! I brought some stuff in to sell/trade and as I single mom to 4 kids it means a lot to me to be able to trade their old clothes for "new" clothes especially when I know they'll be growing out of things so fast. With that being said the owner is absolutely getting over on people & the fact that majority of her customers are parents it's almost sickening. The items I brought in were all in good condition. I would never bring in obviously stained or extremely worn out items as I respect the business kidz kaboodle offers to the community. With that being said some items were taken & I was given around $8 for them and the rest the owner decided to pass on. Since my space was limited I decided to donate the things she didn't want which I believed wouldn't be going up for sale but put into the free or quarter sales that are held. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. One of the items she passed on she told me was "too specific" as it was a 4th birthday shirt. I ended up donating that but several days later I noticed that same exact shirt on sale hanging on the wall where she placed other birthday shirts and/or decor. I can't get over this fact as our community is already struggling enough and to sell something that was marked for donation in a CHILDRENS consignment shop is mind blowing to me. Very unclean shop. Clothing selection is eh, although I have pulled a couple of great items out of there. The owner is very rude!! Doesn't have any sense of customer service and her attitude is sour. If you're lucky enough to get the other lady who works there, be warned as she talks your ear off and doesn't know when to stop. I went in on a trade day to inquire about bringing my stuff in as she had posted on Facebook they needed equipment. I had tons! I got $20 credit for everything. Ended up being like $2 per item. Big things like a jumper, seat, high chair, walker, etc. for her to turn around and sell those items for that much per item. I don't recommend this store. Like many have said, the customer service doesn't exist here. I asked how their consignment works (they call it "trading" which I wasn't familiar with) and was handed a business card with the "trading days" listed on it. When I could only respond with a blank stare, I was asked "did you have a specific question?" Yeah, like could I have ANY specifics?! She went into something about getting cash and credit, but since she had her back to me I didn't quite catch it. I had decided at that point that I wouldn't bring anything in or buy anything there anyways so didn't press for more details. The prices seem high for fairly low quality items - you can get brand new clothes for the same price if you shop regular sales at Carter's. There were 2 high chairs there for $69.99 (I bought a similar one brand new last week for $85). The equipment didn't seem particularly clean to me either. However, if you shop consignment for environmental reasons rather than price it might be worth a look. read more

I did my first trade with Kidz Kaboodle today and I was very happy with the ease of the transaction. I came by around 10am on a weekday while school was in session and it wasn't busy. I used my own 18gal bin to bring my items in but if you don't have one they have some in-store to put your trades in. They measure trades by the tote so you can bring bags of your own clean items and they will file it into a tote with your name on it. Registration is quick and you only need to fill out a small 4x6 card with your info so that they can contact you further for pickup if necessary. They take trades on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturdays only between the hours of 10-6pm. It was a quick item assessment for my items and I was able to pick up my non trade items by noon. I could have stayed in store while they looked over my things but I chose to come back later as I was running several errands. My time is valuable and I appreciate that I don't have to be present while they check my things. I noticed that they also have a punch card for purchases made and then you get a discount once you've reached the purchase marker. This looks like a good deal and I will inquire about it on my next run. They made a fair cash and in-store credit offer and I didn't have to hassle with things like setting up a garage sale or hoping people pick up their items through BuyNothing. I can see how some people may think their offers were low but The items they were not able to take were few and it was only a quick 5 minute drive to the Goodwill where I was able to drop off and donate. You can donate your unwanted items through Kidz Kaboodle but I choose to go through Goodwill as they have helped family members of mine gain job training and life skills. To me the time and ease selling to Kidz Kaboodle in addition to the friendly service and fair offers was well worth the visit. I'll be selling to them again soon as I clean out closets. read more

Stellar quality and variety every visit. I love that this store always seems stocked but it's not crammed (you can maneuver with a stroller; clothes not falling off hangers). Super organized by size and item type- no digging through random stuff. Seriously, easier to look for an item than TJ Maxx. Merch is on and ahead of season. Prices are fantastic. Easy parking. Staff has always been friendly. So many items/clothes like new. I've never been there without finding SOMETHING. They update Facebook on sales and new items often. read more

Prices they pay for consignment are not fair AT ALL. The stuff they're selling looks old, dirty, dingy. I brought in $400+ worth of toddler clothes & shoes to sell in great condition, washed, no stains, high quality brands & they gave me THIRTY DOLLARS. 10 pairs of shoes were taken, 3 of which were Nike Air Force ones in great condition, 3 pairs of converse, boots etc. Nike jackets, Columbia fleece coat never worn. Their pay outs are insulting, the employees are not friendly AT ALL, they make you feel like a nuisance for being in their store. I was in such shock I just said "ok" took the money & left but cried afterwards because I'm just so shocked & upset that I didn't take the time to decline & take the items back. I've been shopping here for 15 years and this new ownership has changed the store for the worse, like way, way worse. The young woman working today could barely pause her phone conversation to tell me--after I had been there long enough to start filling out he form--that they don't do trades on Sundays. Obviously, the decision to be open on Sundays was helpful to me, as I live out of town and have made special trips to this store for years. But if they can't have a capable worker there who can at least sign in the trade on Sunday, what does being open even do for me? Clearly, they staff the store insufficiently on Sundays. And the prices are so much higher now. I can get cheaper prices at an REI or Gymboree sale for new stuff instead of They think if they get a name brand it's worth like 90% of retail! Ha!! Sad to see such a previously great store go down the toilet. Update: I decide to give this place one more chance and I'm totally done. After 15 years of shopping with them, I'll never go back the new owners have completely wrecked what used to be a nice business. They have sporadic times they take trades--today is my 4th (!!!!!!) attempt to make it on a day that they're accepting trades. This place is pretty awful. This was our second time in, and I was trying to give it another shot. As soon as we walked in, we were snapped at twice by a very unpleasant sales associate. She then told a very strange story about how she hit some " dumbass kid" with her car( in front of my three year old.) I pretty much tried to ignore the unstable child maiming associate, and my son found a pair of shoes he loved. When we brought it to the front however, the woman at the counter couldn't find the price tag on the shoes, and accused me of removing the tags. It was my first time visiting this store. I wanted to "trade for cash" an infant car seat with base, a mobile, a bouncer, and a snap-n-go stroller. I got there right when they opened and walked in and greeted the woman behind the counter "Hello Id like to trade some of my items for cash." Her response was rude "Oookay?". I asked her where I should put them because I did not know. All of the items I brought in (listed above) were in great condition, and I was offered $21 for all them. Brought in a large box of beautiful like new girls clothing and dresses. Some still had tags on them most of them name brand. Probablyn50% were Justice and had tags. Gap,and etc. They offered me $9 for the entire bin or $19 trade. I said ill come and pick them up. I was insulted. Not to mention some of my clothes had coffee or hot cocoa spilled all over them. I asked what is this and she said it might be coffee or something, sorry! I had washed and neatly folded every item before carefully packing them! I also saw a couple bring a nice stroller and a nice car seat, they offered them like 25.00 for it all. I wanted to tell them no, go to Offer Up or Craigs List. I was really upset when I left. And some of their clothes looked really worn out and very used that were hanging in the store in comparison to my clothes that I brought in! And customer service not good! This is now the second time in less than a week that I've been in and been completely ignored. For awhile I was the only person in the store and the sales clerk didn't even bother acknowledging me. Luckily, another couple came in after me and the sales clerk told them all about the sales. Had they not come in, I may have never known. At one point, I was looking through racks between the counter and the other customers and the sales clerk let the other customers know that there was a sale going on for boys size 2T shirts and up. I happened to look up at her (since it was precisely that size/section I was looking at) and the sales clerk was making eye contact with the other customer. The customer who was looking through much smaller sized clothes. She actually asked if there were any sales going on for the sizes she was interested in. So again, had the other customers not been in I may have never known. I was actually in today to return and item I bought on Saturday which was damaged. On Saturday when I was in, I was not told about the $0.25 sale they were having and on more than one occasion I stood at the counter waiting for someone to acknowledge me. Today the sales clerk was on her cell phone for a bit so I can see how I may have been ignored for part of my visit (personal business obviously trumps doing your job) but every basic bit of customer service was ignored. Even as I left (after asking for the sales price on the pink tags that wasn't given to me), she handed me my receipt and said nothing. No "thank you for coming in" or "have a nice day" or any acknowledgement at all. They have a really great selection of stuff and the prices are all decent. I'm not sure if it's because I was the only non-white person in on both days or maybe just because I happened to get three completely different staff people who lack customer service skills or maybe all three of them were having bad days. Who know. Either way, it's really disheartening to be treated like you don't exist. Especially when you're just trying to buy cute stuff for your kiddo. Update: After coming home I realized that one of the items I just purchased and a shirt I bought at the previous trip were also damaged. My husband just went to return them today and was told that they can only do returns while a manager is there so they weren't able to help him. This means we get to make a 4th trip tomorrow. Not only is the new owner incredibly rude but they also make sure only comments that make them look good remain on their Facebook business page and deleted the rest without addressing anything. HEADS UP FOR ANYBODY DONATING OR EXCHANGING ITEMS FOR CASH/CREDIT : Apparently your not allowed to leave the store to even sit in your car and wait for your donations to be looked through . You have to sit and linger in the store or your items won't be looked at immediatley ! They only take clothing donations that can fit in a small bin . DO NOT WASTE A TRIP HAULING BOXES OF BABY CLOTHES THEY WONT TAKE THEM . THEY DO NOT PAY YOU FOR BABY BATHS . Not sure what happened here, but the customer service is absolutely horrible. They hardly acknowledge you when you enter the store if at all. They don't say thank you when leaving, a good business always appreciates your business. They are lazy as well. A smile and eye contact goes a long way. I have to agree with Tracie F., this is an amazing store! I've reviewed a couple of children's consignment shops around the area, and this is probably the one I like the most. It's clean, spacious, well-organized, and the racks aren't super-stuffed so you can actually browse through them without worrying something on the other end of the rack is going to pop off. The clothes are clean and in good condition and well priced! I saw a lot of Carters, Old Navy, Gap Kids, and Gymboree in the racks. They also have maternity clothes. Of non-clothing items, I was pleasantly surprised to find Maya ring slings and a Sherpani child-carrying hiking pack. Everything I saw was fashionably current and in good to great condition, including the toys, strollers, and other playthings. They also have punch cards for frequent shoppers ($10 off when you fill the punch card), and the last Friday and Saturday of the month is their $0.25 sale. They also accept trade-ins of clothes, toys, and children/maternity merchandise for either store credit or cash on the same day you bring it in (and you don't have to make an appointment first or wait until your items sell to get your credit/cash!) Really awesome store with great merchandise and friendly staff. If you're near the area, I'd definitely recommend checking them out. read more

This place is fabulous! When I think of consignment stores, I have flashbacks to some of the places my grandma used to drag me to as a kid for school shopping in the 80's. This place restored my faith in the phrase 'gently used.' Kidz Kaboodle is a family run children's store. Mostly they specialize in clothing, but they also carry strollers, pack n plays, and assorted kids' paraphernalia. This place is super clean and well organized. They are particular about what they purchase to resell which is awesome because you know that when you do buy something it isn't going to fall apart before your little bundle of joy outgrows it. Many times I have browsed through the baby clothes and found items that still had the original store tags on them....totally brand new. And cheap! EVERYONE loves cheap! This store is a gem. If you have kids, or know people who have kids, or ever plan to have kids, then you absolutely must stop by and check it out! read more

A good, dependable consignment store can be a hard find, especially when it comes to children's clothing and Kidz Kaboodle has been pretty awesome for us! How I part my daughter's clothes goes like this.... first pick is for my niece, then a good friend's, then the Kidz Kaboodle. I love that they donate what they don't want, honestly I would pretty much Goodwill it all because I hate hoarding and I hate offering things if people don't ask but in my case that's not an issue. I tend to only get anywhere from $15-$20 per drop off but it works, I just do the credit since I am not really looking for the CASH or else I would consign ALL her clothes first. They offer more credit, less in cash as most consignment stores do. I have found some pretty amazing steals here, not deals but steals!!!! Every third Saturday they have a twenty-five cent sale. That's right. Every item is TWENTY FIVE CENTS. If you want big ticket items, like a stroller or a crib, etc, then get there early or on time. This is a consignment store, and a popular one at that, so be patient and comb through. Visit often. There's always new stuff. You just have to search. I've found lots of clothes for my son, a bag full of legos that he'll use in a few years, shoes, hats, all sorts of good stuff at amazing prices. The only reason I'm giving it a 4 star rating is that I struggle with figuring out exactly where my son's current size is located in the store. It's not well labeled, so I have to check a bunch of tags to make sure I'm in the right area. But once I do, then I'm good to go. If you want to take in things you'd like to sell, keep in mind they are quite selective for what they sell in the store. You have two options - cash or credit. For the stuff they won't sell in the store, you can either take them back or donate them to the 25 cent sale. read more

On 1/20 I took cloths/baby related items in to possibly sell. They called me at 13:30 on 1/21 to give me an offer and told me I had until 1000 on 1/22 to give them my response which goes against their 24 hour policy. I called at 16:40 on 1/21 and told them I wasn't Accepting the offer and I'd be in at around 1600 on 1/22 to pick up my items. I showed up a little after 1600 put my stuff in the car and realized that the things they offered money for were missing. When I confronted the employee she acted clueless. I found one of the items tagged and the others obviously were hidden. I wasn't offffered the money they even told me I would be given. They just took my items even tho I responded before the 24 hour time was up. Now they have done nothing wrong even tho I told them at 1640 only a few hours later I wasn't accepting the trade offer. read more

What I love: Big, open space with lots of choices. Organized. The staff is friendly. Plenty of places to park. A fair amount to choose from for little boys (0-12 months). What I do not love: They are WAY picky about the stuff you bring in. I never, ever bring anything that is stained, has holes, looks worn or is out of season. And, I almost ALWAYS buy name brand: Gap, Pumpkin Patch, Zutano, etc. But, it never fails that I will give them 50 items and half come back. And it's little boys stuff, in sizes they never seem to have. Weird. And, it smells in there. But, all consignment stores do, don't they? The .25 sale is HEINOUS! It stinks and is overly crowded. Everything is absolutely FILTHY too. I found two things and went to go purchase them, but I was behind 8 women with 2-5 garbage bags filled with stuff. No way. No how. Would never go again.
