Went in a few weeks ago at opening 9:00 . When I went to the front door it was still locked so my two small children and me waited outside for a few minutes only to have someone open the door ( pretty rudely ) didnt even look at us or respond to my good morning. So I felt like the service could have been more polite and punctual. There wasn't a great selection but we did find a few good priced books. Because I do not like inconveniencing people, I very much like having an appointment policy for donations. Their process for trading is very organized! I dropped my stuff off and in less than 20 minutes had a phone call saying she was done going through my things (and it was a Saturday morning). They nearly bought all the items I had except for maybe 5 things which they had an understanding explanation as to why they wouldn't be purchasing them. They have a HUGE selection of girls clothes and boys clothes (baby section ) , everything is organized wonderfully and thought out . Nipple creams, baby charms for their car seats, teethers , strollers , carriers , backpacks, shoes, sandals, clothes (some Are new others are second hand lightly used !) the prices are so hard to beat 3 Amazon rompers were 65$ vs I got a giant bag of spring and winter clothes for My 3 month daughter some shirts for the boys and paid 100$ (bag had about 36 garmets + in it) They have a great Facebook page and constantly posting new content and sales . They had more selection for babies then older , but still fully racked clothes . They are super kiddo friendly there so if your kiddo Is having a break down mamas they understand . Came here awhile back to look for toys. There was a lot of clothes and baby items like carriers and jungle gym type things. I was a little disappointed in the toy selection though. If you're looking for clothes or baby items, this place would be a great stop. If you're looking more for toddlers things then probably not going to be the best option. I been shopping here for 2 years and i gotta say i love this place. The people who work here are super helpful with trying to find what i need. Their prices are definitely reasonable.With the owner she is an amazing person and went above and beyond for her customers doing a curbside pick up for a day during the Pandemic. I never buy new for my son because he is just going to stain it himself! Wow just rude. I've heard of staff being unfriendly but never the owner. It's a shame to see that the people that work their have a better work ethic than the owner herself. I brought in lots of items collecting dust. They were very intentional about what they took and that really reflects on the quality or items they have in the store. I was supervised the amount I was able to get and store credit and was able to buy a Brand New high quality item for getting rid of things I didn't even need. I've visited several times and have been trading in my 18 month old daughter's clothes for bigger sizes, as well as gathering clothes for her baby brother who is expected to come soon. They waste no time when procing out your items to make sure your visit goes as smoothly and stress free as possible. I'm always surprised at the great monetary amount they offer me for my trades and at their changing selection of clothes at every visit. They also have a really great selection of top quality and affordable baby equipment, which I plan to go back for soon. The employees are very friendly and help me with any questions that I may have. It pains me to write this. If I could give zero stars, I would. This place has gone down hill in a big way. I have been a loyal customer for four years now, way back to when it was located right next to the Lakewood Towne Center. I stopped going in as much after she fired Catherine and hired the two creepy/unfriendly women that work there. She actually may have just hired one, and the other one may just hang out there. I don't know for sure. This is based on today's experience. I posted on their Facebook page asking when they take items, which was responded to promptly with the times and a request to call in with the items I had to bring in. I called and was told that they'd take them. So I come in and as I'm walking in the door carrying my bouncer, the woman behind the counter tells me, "we're not taking those." No, "hello!" Just a, "we're not taking those." Which is weird, because over the phone she said they were. Okay. Whatever. I traded in a bassinet, extra mattress, and bumbo and received $27. Not a lot by any means but they were just taking up space, no big deal. The woman at first forgot to include the extra mattress in the price. When I reminded here she added $2 to her offer. $2 for a $20 bassinet mattress? Really, lady? She (the unfriendly one) then started talking to creepy one. The creepy one started talking about how she was in her last semester to become a nurse midwife, and asked if the owner had an "irritable fetus". Lady, there is no such thing as an irritable fetus. The term you were grasping at is "irritable uterus". You are no nurse midwife. I strongly dislike liars. THEN the unfriendly one started talking about Coach diaper bags and how valuable they are, how someone claimed you can get them cheap up here (you can, btw, the Coach outlet is an hour away) and claimed it was "bullshit" that you could get them cheap. You know, SWEARING in a children's store. Totally kosher. What did she do then? Certainly not apologize. I perused a bit, and as I was looking at the shoes, the creepy one commented that she hated her purse and that the unfriendly one would really hate where she got it...from the former employee, Catherine. They both made a "ugh" noise. Awesome and professional, yeah? Bashing former employees around customers. At this point I had no desire to shop and wanted to leave. The very large creepy one was blocking my way out. I said, "excuse me." To this she grunted, glared, and moved. No "pardon me" or, "no, excuse me!" She literally grunted. Not figuratively. Literally. She let out an honest to God grunt, like how dare I inconvenience her by expecting her to not block and entire aisle with her massive girth. Seriously, lady. I just wanted you to move eight inches to the side so I could sidle past you. I will not be back. It's a bummer, because this place used to be great. The selection is really bad now-- I think they just bought whatever crap they could because they needed to fill up the bigger store. The clothes are faded, the gear is very old, a lot of the items were dirty. I don't know if this is the owner's doing or because she's trusted the two weirdos to handle things. I'm sorry, Shyanne. One of the best kid's consignment stores I have ever seen! And we have moved almost all over the country. They honor military discounts on their non-branded goods, and have a really wide selection of items. The store and merchandise is clean, well-kept, and even has amenities in the area for you to shop at your leisure. Shyanne and her staff are amazingly helpful and friendly to do business with. Many other stores need to take a page out of her book on how to successfully run a store like hers. They keep prices fairly low as well! This was my first trip to this store and it won't be my last. Children's Trading Post is one of the best children's consignment stores I've been to. They have a huge variety of items and they maintain the shop well. I go when I can and wish I could go more often to take advantage of the store credit you earn as a valued customer. Color me unimpressed. Going in, I had high hopes. It's a cute shop from the outside and I know they recently moved into a larger store front in the same plaza. But maybe they were trying a little too hard to fill up the bigger space. There were a few items that were new, with tags, but it seemed like a large proportion of the items I saw in my daughter's size were quite faded. One t-shirt even had a bleach stain on the collar. Many of the tags also identified them as being Target brands (Carter's Just One You, Osh K'osh Genuine Kids, Cherokee, Circo), which made the prices seem a bit much considering their condition. I realize that toddlers can be hard on their clothes, but if I were going to consign my daughter's old clothes, I certainly wouldn't bring in the harder worn items and I wouldn't expect to find them on the racks. I saw significantly better condition at the Goodwill we went to immediately after. The "gear" area was even less appealing. I saw a stroller I would have liked, but it clearly hadn't been cleaned. Looking at some of the others, it didn't seem like any of them got as much as a quick wipe down before they were put out for sale. read more

This little boutique is amazing!! The employees are super helpful and kind as well as the owner! They are always willing to help and answer and questions you may have. They sell gently used baby clothes as well as brand new LÍLLÉbaby carriers and Jujube . They have a little playroom in the back so mom can shop in peace while they kids have a contained safe area to play. The prices are outstanding. Really gone downhill. The one woman gave me attitude how she's been doing it for 8 years & claimed clothes that were never worn and washed once had stains or were washed too many times. Then gave more attitude about how should have sorted them a certain way because it would cut her time in half. It took her over a hour to get to our stuff. Our clothes were significantly nicer than their selection & would have almost doubled the size of their selection because they didn't have much.
