Great place to shop for basics: long sleeve black V-necks, plain colored tops, or layering tanks.

From knives to pots and pans to kitchen gadgets you didn't think you would need until you see them. They even have makeup, hair products, clothes, and anything you can think of. It was so much fun roaming around this store, and they have a variety of the same item. For example, my goal was to get a butcher knife. They have big ones, small ones, heavy ones, ones with short handles, and ones with longer handles. I spent a long time picking one out to my liking. The inside feels like a big warehouse with everything neatly placed in a way that you can just walk up and down the aisles with ease. There was so much to look at that I felt like I spent close to an hour or more here. Some things were reasonably priced, while others were a little higher. It really depends on what you plan on getting from here. I almost got a wok from there but decided against it because the one on sale was a little bit too heavy for me. If you are in the area and love kitchen things, I would suggest going to Shin Shin to check it out. It was fun for me, and I plan to take my mom there on our next trip to Seattle. However, I might regret that decision later, because my mom would just spend her entire trip there and not want to leave. Haha, I will keep you posted on this. Parking is plentiful. Credit cards are accepted. One thing that caught my attention, though, was that the employees would stare you down after a little while. Instead of having security cameras, they have employees at every corner who would randomly show up next to you to ensure you are "shopping" and not stealing. If you are okay with having a personal bodyguard while you shop, then there would be no issues at all. Have fun!

It is a fairly large retail site that carried assorted housewares, some alcohol, restaurant gear, small appliances, bedding and linen, Korean hair & skincare products, and clothing. I was rather amused at the gigantic sizes of some bowls, woks, rice cookers, and cooking pots...literally could hold a toddler or two. As other Yelp posts have noted, they do have attentive store personnel that are at the ready should you have any questions. Unless you're a regular shopper, one will definitely be wandering and browsing every aisle since there are no overhead signage. After all that wandering, I did end up paying for a substantial back scratcher for The Homie and a floral print quilted vest for my mom. Both were reasonable and one was even on sale! Chalk it up to, you don't think you'll find anything in particular, but stop in Shin Shin for some momentary retail therapy.

The natural conversation turned to clothing, and Larry really was great. I had never heard of the Calder Caramel shirts and he spent time to educate me about the best colors for my skin type, the brand, etc. The shirts are not cheap, but neither am I, but still I decided to wait. He was not only accepting of that, but almost encouraging of it. But after leaving I turned around and went back in to buy the shirt. He had just closed the store, but opened the door and let me in to buy the shirt. He repeated if I have any troubles with it then do not hesitate to return it. Went at 10:30am on a Monday and it was surprisingly busy. Everyone is coming to check it out. Store employees were super nice. Moderate size store with good selection, but some racks were empty or needed to be refreshed. I don't know if that's because they are short-handed (which they are), or because they haven't had a chance to get to things with the crazy crowds they've had. Either way, I found some items to buy, and will definitely come back.

I had to purchase a pair of dress shoes, and I specifically asked the salesperson when I told her that they were a little tight, but was assured that they would loosen up upon wear and if they didn't, that I could return them. I thought, "that's why I love Nordstrom's." Fast forward two hours, and I had a huge blister on the inside of my big toe. I had to remove the shoes and switch into tennis shoes, which did not match my suit at all. But, I knew I could return the shoes, so I was OK with that. I took the shoes back and was told by a sales clerk and by the manager, "Finn," that I could not return the shoes because they had been worn outside. I explained to her that I specifically asked that when I purchased them earlier and was assured that I could. She said that didn't matter because there were scuffs on the sole of the shoe. I said I would take store credit and she said "aren't you listening, I said we could not take them back." I would avoid this Nordstrom's rack, find another or better yet, just skip them altogether - they are not what they used to be, they do not stand behind their products, and they do not stand behind their word.

They had installed self checkouts. A miracle. Now, I happen to have a personal opinion that self-checkout use should require some type of training or license, but that's a separate issue. I was only buying one item, and I was about to be done checking out in less than thirty seconds flat. Or so I thought. As I walked happily towards the door, I heard a hoarse voice choking at me, "ma'am! MA'AM!" Was she croaking at *me*? "I need to verify your receipt." Sounds reasonable at first. I hadn't noticed a woman in a Loss Prevention uniform at a poorly placed kiosk where the tagging racks normally are. She was helping someone else. So I had to wait for her to finish scanning someone else's things, and then scan my receipt and scan my things. She wasn't doing a visual check like Costco does. She needed to physically scan every receipt and every item, and her scanner was slow, and she was bad at it. Her attitude was just so rude and gross, and she was so slow that it seemed intentional. Was she supposed to be loss prevention, or a decent cashier? Cause she was certainly not both. She was either the worst cashier I've ever come across, or she was deliberately slowing me down because she could tell I was in a hurry. It took her way longer to scan my items than it had taken me. And she acted like it was difficult and inconvenient to verify my one item. This entirely defeated the whole purpose of the self checkout. Ross ALMOST improved their awful checkout process. So close. As I was walking out, a couple of managers called our cheerfully, "That's cute! Have a good day!" It seemed like they knew that their 'lead checker' was bringing moods down, and this was their intervention. If Ross is going to put a lead checker at a bottleneck security check, it needs to be a decent, friendly checker, not a rude security officer who doesn't know her way around a POS. Other than that it was a good store.

I brought Gabriel a designer suit that still didn't feel right after store alterations. He was pretty honest--said the best it could become was a 7/10--and then went to work. He adjusted the shoulders, chest, sleeves, lapels, which required him to move every single button. It was literally a completely different suit. And for the first time, it actually fit the way it should. Since then, I've gone back for five custom suits, multiple shirts, and my favorite, an overcoat (which I'd avoided for years because of off-the-rack fit issues). Every item has come out perfectly tailored. If fit has always been a compromise for you, it's worth seeing what Gabriel can do. Adding some photos, but I'm not a fashion/textiles photographer. It's harder than it looks.

I should have read more into the negative ones before using him. A suit to me is an investment and it's really important that tailors take their job professionally. I came in to The Bespoke Clothier after doing some research as I needed a suit altered for an upcoming wedding. I had 2 weeks before the event which I felt was plenty of time for the job. I made an appointment with Gabriel for a consultation to look at the suit and discuss timing and needs for alterations. No real dressing room, just a closet that you can change in. He looked at my suit and made recommendations for the sleeves to be taken in and shortened and pants let out a bit on the waist. I also asked about adding surgeons cuffs with functional buttons. Gabriel mentioned that it's really easy and they do that all the time but they charge per button. Understandable I said and agreed to the pricing. This was Tuesday and was told that the alterations would be complete by Friday. A busy Friday for me meant a pickup on Saturday which would have been perfect as their posted hours on their website says: Saturday 9am-5pm. When I arrived on Saturday to pick up the suit, the lights were out, door locked and a note posted saying "Flexible Hours" this week and to text a number. I texted the number which replied that they would check with Gabriel on timing and they would communicate back to me a time for pickup. No response through Monday evening and by Tuesday at noon, I was getting a little concerned about lack of communication and timing. I decided to call on Tuesday afternoon and Gabriel picked up and told me the suit will be ready by 3pm that day. I arrived at the shop at 3:30pm with the pants ready and the jacket looking disheveled and unfinished with the buttons popped off one of the sleeves and arms way too long. He said he thought I needed the sleeves lengthened and he marked it incorrectly. He said this is an easy and quick job for the jacket and it will be ready tonight. I decided to give him more time to do a good job and said let me pick up tomorrow afternoon. The next afternoon comes and the jacket looked fine but I noticed that the buttons were not functional. He said he didn't take the correct notes and thought I didn't want that even though I was charged extra per button. Again was told that it was an easy job as he does this "all the time" and he would be the one personally making the functioning buttons. Again was told he could do it tonight and I again gave him extra time to do a nice, clean job. The suit was ready with functioning surgeons cuffs but the workmanship was really poor. Also one of the buttons for the interior pocket was missing. The cut and sewing lines were really sloppy looking and the thread for the buttons were not sewing inside the lining, leaving the button thread visible on the cup to lining. I'm not sure if Gabriel just over promises and has to rush through everything but i think he knows better. Overall a stressful situation being almost a week overdue, multiple mistakes and a seemingly rush job to finish. At the initial meeting, Gabriel was also trying to sell me a custom suit which I was seriously considering at the time. Unfortunately this soured my experience and mindset that he would be capable of making a full bespoke suit.

The good: I went on a search for shoes for my children as they all 3 were in desperate need. There was such a plethora of options. They all received many pairs of shoes for such a low price. I need to return to work on their wardrobe as the new season approaches. Katharinea Was the associate who checked me out. Bless her heart because I had so many things. She was so kind and so patient with me. Chris, the supervisor was so awesome as well. Very prompt when he was needed for assistance. Also, though the bathroom was closed to outsiders, they had pity on me as I am recovering from Guillian Barre syndrome, which comes with its fair share of problems. They allowed me in any way which I appreciated as I did not want to drive around looking for a bathroom. Security patiently watched my cart while I pulled my car around so that I did not have to struggle to The bad: while there, there was a particular associate or 2 who shall remain nameless. They allowed their epic associate, who was dealing with much pain, to check everyone out. There were others around but the other associate behind the counter slowly moved, ignoring the pain her fellow coworker was in. She proceeded to distract her while she checked out ONE of the MANY waiting with a supervisor issue and took her sweet time LOOKING busy. I even asked her why she was letting her coworker do so much, especially given her circumstances. Women ignoring other women in pain... That made me so very sad. I will be back, but I hope to not see that associate again because teamwork means helping your mates when they are down.
