Best service I've ever gotten at a Marshall's. Never seen so many BIPOC people employed at a Marshall's and its a great look. Sheila the manager is doing an awesome job at this store. Great store. Organized. Staff is nice. Selection great, I had to go to 3 different Marshall's/TJ Maxx to find the items I needed and found them at this one. I asked one of the employees for the restroom expecting her to just point them out to me but she stopped what she was doing and lead the way. read more

The only place I can find these in a 3 pack for a cheaper price lol. I rock these like I drink my liquor! That made no sense lol but yes. I usually come in here to buy the 3pack lacoste or lucky brand vneck shirts. They go with everything. But they are kind of like a one time use only because after you wash them they're never the same so I just give them to goodwill or Salvation Army after a period of time lol. Went to return an item ( didn't realize it had a stain). Manager was absolutely nasty when relaying that to me( which would have been fine if she wasn't nasty about it). Then she proceeds to go up to other managers and say nasty things about me while near customers. I am completely embarrassed and had to leave due to the laughing towards me. I honestly did not know it was dirty and if she would have told me in a kind way I would be fine. I'm honestly at the edge of tears. read more

This review is most pertinent to the Marshall's converted. If you are one of Us, you know that each store carries radically different stock and variety. If you are one of Us in the area, you know Super Mall has a large, interesting Marshall's and that you should only go to the Marshall's by Tacoma Mall on a dare...a dare with very high stakes that requires trying on clothes and use of the barf room, I mean bathroom, and you get like....a hundred bucks or something. This Marshall's is standard issue, and gleans enough little gems to warrant regular checking. Today's score, a pair of J-41's (normally $80) on clearance for $28. Yay! I like this Marshall's mostly because it's always clean and organized. Sometimes it's a hit or miss whether I find good stuff or not, I think that would depend on their shipment. I do like that they have a baby and kids section. read more

I bought a small magnifying mirror yesterday. When I got home, I discovered that some silly person had put the price tag ON the mirror itself. Why would anyone do that? After trying to get that gooey glue off with goof off, scrubber rags and razor blades, I was finally able to get it off. Please Marshall's, put your price tags on the BACK of mirrors and picture frames. Too much time & energy trying to get that crap off! Thanks. Otherwise, love your store. read more

My wife loves shopping here...me on the other hand, not so much. I am not really a fan of discount stores. Everything is usually a mess and I can never seem to find anything to my taste. But considering how crappy most discount stores are, Lakewood Marshalls isn't bad. It's a lot smaller than the Renton or Supermall locations but there's usually a good amount variety of apparel, luggage, and kitchenware. During the holidays, it's a good spot to pick up cheap toys for donation to Toys for Tots. Hopefully one of these days I'll actually score a great deal here on something. read more

I went on a Sunday afternoon and the store was packed! The aisles are extremely small and sadly, crammed with customers that doesn't understand how to share the full aisle. The store was a huge mess! The racks were messy with clothes falling everywhere. Aside from that, i found some pretty awesome stuff at a great and affordable price. This is the worst store when it come to racial profiling. I went in this store a few months back because I was going on a business trip very and needed new bags. At first I couldn't believe the price because it was reasonable but than I kept noticing rude behavior from most of an all one race staff. Than one of them had the nerve to come up to me and said you are buying to many bags. Just because I wasn't in my suite from work doesn't mean they can treat me so poorly. I am in talks with my lawyer now. I wish I had my camera on so I could post it online. I would stay away horrible staff and company when I call their corporate office. read more

The staff here is just really friendly and always so kind. Today I witnessed an employee signing with a hearing-impaired customer. The employee went above and beyond to be helpful and kind and it was a very touching moment to witness. I generally am not a fan of discount stores. They make me think of messy racks of mixed clothes, dirty dressing rooms, always hit or miss... but Marshall's has won me over. They actually keep this store well organized and the selection is solid - lots of name brands at affordable prices. They have a large selection of kitchenware, a couple aisles of toys, good-sized sections for kids and womens apparel, and quite a bit of furniture/home accessories. Plus, there is always the sense of adventure in never knowing what you'll find. Great for gift shopping. read more

Today I went in with my sister and there was not much to look at but apart from that there was this white female employee who was at the fitting rooms. She left the station for a while and went to put clothes back where my sister and I had been looking. She was so close to us that she reached over and didn't even say excuse me. I always enjoy shopping at this store, but my husband and I especially like to go after we eat out. There is a bargain to be found in every department. One of my favorite places to snoop is in the home goods section. They always have cute decor in the latest trend. this is one of my favorite stores, due to the mgr. and his staff. i also shop at tj maxx, a sister store. the two stores are as different as they can be. tj maxx is run by very cranky people. if you have a return, good god, it is a mortal sin, and they punish you by sighing, complaning to you for the bother. tj has merchandise that has the price tags fall off then you lose all your money, cause everything is the customer's fault. while marshall's accomodates you and no punishing. tj has had many mgrs. and the morale is still very bad. tim has been in lakewood for all the years i've lived here. he gets out on the floor, he does markdowns so fast you don't see his hands moving, tj, mgrs. never do floor work unless they are coming down on customers. the sister stores, one is a pleasure to visit, the other, wear your tough skin. any returns or problems, you leave feeling horrible, like you've done a no- no. many happy returns and staff having worked there for 10 years or more. kudos to who ever hired tim and had allowed him to stay in lakewood, wa. i saw in the digest for soaps that marshall's was a favorite for those buying items for "days of our life.". read more

I am very disappointing in the store. I went there yesterday to out some clothes on hold for a friend. I specifically ask the lady to make sure that I can pick it up tomorrow. I went there today, drove two hours, with traffic and all and it was gone!! All they could say is someone else took it! Customer skills need to be improved!! read more
