It was decorated for Christmas. We were greeted by a nice gentle man who works there named Jesse Parks I think that's his last name. He's worked there for 27 years. He guided us to the children's area and the Santa's corner brought my daughter a balloon and a candy cane while searching. He checked in us to make sure we were doing good. We got 4 chairs for a reasonable price and good quality. They had a wide selection and cool Easter eggs throughout the store. The trains throughout the store were amazing to look at! Jesse told us about the team that tends to them and a team that decorate the store for the holidays. It was such an amazing experience and such a cozy and welcoming vibe. We were pleasantly surprised by the fudge they sold as well. We will be back for the environment and fudge. When we checked out Jesse found us and checked us out and brought my daughter a deer stuffed animal and brought us directly to where they help load the stuff into the car. They helped us easily put the chairs in the car and I loved how they have a loading spot that's out of the rain. You can really see the care and time took out to cumulate the store to be what it is. I don't think I've ever gotten that great of customer service. We will definitely be back and just so happy to be surprised by the experience.

Hunter Douglas was will to replace the 10 dollar cord but would not cover the labor to remove replace and reinstall the shade. I thought this was not fair. Renee at Newell Hunt got them to completely replace the shade for 35 dollars shipping fee. That's customer service.

The shop was small, but everything in it was worth looking at vs. shops with too much stuff and only a 10th worth looking at. Both Debi and Sarah were very accommodating with holding our purchases in their store for a couple days while I scrambled up a vehicle to pick up the great treasures that I was able to find in their store. I didn't bother looking through my hundreds of online receipts from them because I knew all they needed to do was look everything up with my phone number. The Manager said that they don't do that. I explained that they do and I have done it several times; especially since last year or so when they first started that process. She was EXTREMELY combative!!! She had this rude arrogance where I can tell her she was doing it on purpose and trying to push her position. She contradicted herself after I had my friend come up who had a basket full of items to purchase. I told my friend that we are not shopping there and told her what happened. She is also a frequent shopper at HomeGoods in the policy, so shared my disappointment and agitation with this individuals demeanor. I even called another store and they validated it could be done. After that, she tried to change her tone and actions saying yes, we do that but by then it was too late. We went to another store that I shop at frequently which are all of the others and I had no problems with my return and actually ended up spending an additional $300+. My friend spent close to $700. I will not shop at that store again because they lack diversity with staff and that area lacks a lot of diversity, which may be the reason why I was treated the way I was treated.

I've always thought I had relatively good design sense. But after a year-and-a-half of lock-down and working from home, I felt the place was looking a little blah.  But I'd been procrastinating.  On a whim one Saturday, I walked into Seldens and met Christine. I explained what I'd been thinking, and she got it immediately. She asked a lot of questions and took the time to get to know what I like and don't like. I appreciated that she listened and worked with me to propose a range of solutions that seemed to work for me and helped me prioritize what would give me the most "bang for the buck".   She didn't propose a radical makeover but rather a smart choice of options that had the impact. And she was able share examples from other projects she'd completed so I could see how some of the ideas she was suggesting would look in my place. I went from hesitant to excited, and I can hardly wait for everything to get the first phase of my spruce-up project implemented.  I started out thinking I didn't really need a designer per se.
