The selection of antiques and records was definitely the high point of this place. The folks at the counter seemed like nice enough people, and were quick to help at any time. The problem is there is a serious dust and mold problem at this establishment that should be addressed. Ceiling tiles falling down and water damage, along with a very terrible smell on the second floor. They definitely needs to be an investment into fixing this problem or else people might get serious reactions from it. read more

Solid store. 2 stories. Good customer service. They got to add AC or better ventilation on the 2nd floor. It must have been 80+ degrees up there. From Fenton to Toys to Pokemon cards....alot of variety. Much better than other antique stores in the area. read more

A Fun Place to Shop! We quickly became repeat customers after our first trip. Some things never change and that's a good thing in this instance! Old School Antique Shop filled in every nook and cranny of both floors with unique finds, gorgeous glass & rare treasures! New items everyday! A few new vendors but a lot of the same old vendors we have had for the last 30 years because they all love coming here and shopping and working their booths and hanging with their customers! An Antique Store with Heart! It's not just another antique shop- it's the place to be. Nothing beats a stroll through the shop after a late breakfast on a lazy Sunday afternoon or a friendly conversation about days gone by. Several lifetimes of treasures and history to be found here! Coming through the door just feels like coming home! They are quick to adopt you and make you feel like family. Kid friendly and have an extensive toy selection for the forever young as well! I've frequently found a few gems here, but I've also seen fakes, ridiculously overpriced. You do need to know your stuff if you are a collector or looking to resell. It's not my go-to place for this area, but it's still a good stop. read more

Went here to shop and found some amazing things that I was about to spend some serious cash on. Then looked around some more and found racist figurines for sale. Very nice and ENORMOUS antique store. We didn't find too much of the items we typically search for ourselves but you can't win 'em all. This store was very clean and had a lot of interesting items to look at even if we didn't find any for ourselves personally. Worth the time to stop! read more

Best antique store I have ever been to. The lady and old man always help me when I come in; they are so nice and sweet. I always leave with something because everything they have are valuable and amazing. You will always find something new at this antique store. The store is clean and organized with nice themes. I went to this store for the first time this week. Two older women were at the front counter gabbing and ignoring me. I was in their direct line of site looking at items for about ten minutes. Then one of them very rudely told me to put my backpack at the front counter if I wanted to remain in the store. I thought about leaving but I love antiques and wanted to shop. After my bag was behind the counter, the women started talking loudly about shoplifting school kids. I wish I looked young enough that they could mistake me for a teenager. Even my kids are out of their teens. The more I heard the more offended I was. The whole time I walked around the store they stayed far enough away that it was clear they had no intention of assisting me or meeting even a minimum standard of customer service. While I do not like overly friendly salespeople, that would have been a welcome change from being treated like a criminal and followed at a distance as soon as I was not in line of site from the front desk. I had a backpack because I was on my way home from my job where I work as a programmer. I was dressed professionally and do not look remotely young. As I was leaving and picked up my backpack the women restarted their conversation about thieves. They said something neutral like "have a nice day" because I was too close in proximity for them to continue to pretend they were ignoring me. As I left, I thought I should post a review so that other potential shoppers would know what to expect. Imagine my surprise this morning when I open Yelp to find a nearly identical review from Bonnie C from 2011. Only in her review the store personnel were not female. So this was no isolated incident. This it the standard for how they treat customers and it is not a new development. Fortunately for me, the merchandise was sub par so there was nothing worth buying. Rather than "antiques" the store is almost entirely vintage items in poor condition. Most items were also dirty and smelled of mold. Not just dusty or the normal smell of old items. Actual mold that made me cough and sneeze. The 20 minutes or so it took me to look through every aisle in the store was enough to make me sick for the rest of the night. Normally I look for antiques in Olympia or other quaint towns within driving distance. Having lived and gone antiquing in many areas of the country, it is a familiar experience. This is the first time I have ever been treated so appallingly by a vendor. While I would like to explore other Puyallup shops, I am now reluctant to try since they are unlikely to have anything I can't find elsewhere and I do not wish to encourage this type of disrespectful treatment. It is truly disappointing since having an antique store close to home held the promise of pleasant Saturday afternoons of browsing interesting and eclectic items for ones that fit my decor. Maybe in a few years I will try again and see if customer complaints have any impact on the vendors' behavior. But I will be prepared to leave at the first sign of hostility rather than foolishly sticking around under the assumption that I must be misinterpreting their behavior and thus giving them the opportunity to add to the offense. read more

Two older women were chatting at the cash register. As I browsed down the aisle in front of them, they yelled for me to come put my bag at the front counter if I wanted to continue shopping. I hesitated and then decided to comply since I love antiques. After I set my bag down, they did not not secure it. They continued talking loudly about shoplifting teenagers putting items in their bags. The implication that I am a shoplifting teenager was amusing in that I cannot possibly be mistaken for a teenager (I wish I looked that young!) I was still in office attire so it is hard to believe I looked like I was there to rob them. When I went online to post a review, I discovered that has been a pattern at the store for years. Hostility toward customers with no justification is appalling. Hope you will avoid this business. Their merchandise was sub par and smelled of mold. Not just mildew. Mold. The place was filthy and items were vintage at best, not antique. read more

I have lived in the Puyallup area for over 30 years and must admit that I've not patronized the downtown core as much as I should have. That said, hubby and I decided to head down the hill on "Small Business Saturday" to avoid the mall while looking for an ornament for an upcoming gift exchange at work. We parked my car downtown and went about on foot. First stop was Victoria Sells where I purchased the coolest Japanese Bobble-head Santa (spent $26), but still no ornament. I then hoofed a few blocks east and went to this shop. Intent on finding an ornament, I spied a cute Yorkie one (very cute and a bargain at $3.00 -- this for a friend not the exchange). At this time, however, I began to feel that I was being followed. Maybe this is the norm for these types of stores as well as cameras for loss prevention. I can understand this and went on my way, by this time with Yorkie bulb in hand and wrapped Santa in bag. I was intently looking at some ornaments when a man (staff) asked to take my Yorkie up to the front counter. I was bit startled and replied, "oh okay." At this point, he remarked that I "was a good actress." ?? okay whatever he meant by that. I just shrugged it off. Not much later, he approached me again and asked to have the small bag I was carrying with my Santa. At this time, it was clear that he thought I was a potential shoplifter. I let him know that I wanted my bag with me and then he really insisted that I give him the bag.???? Is this the standard for shopping in an antiques store? I was shocked and heartbroken and my first reaction was just to tell the guy that I was leaving. I found my husband and we left. Didn't even get the Yorkie. Maybe I'm naive, but does everyone get profiled like this? Did I overreact? I was sure wishing for a good experience at the store (and to buy the Yorkie bulb), but can't help feel a bit persecuted. If you can shed any light on why this guy thought I was stealing, help me out so that I don't become a bitter old biddy. read more

It's my "go to" antique store. They ALWAYS have what I need, and I appreciate when the vendors reorganize their spaces constantly. I hope one day they get new carpet :) Fantastic store. read more
