First of all, it makes me angry that the first reviewer gave this small business only 3 stars…read morebecause it didn't have more "man stuff." Each antique dealer has their own aesthetic, and it's typical for each one to specialize in certain items or periods of time, e.g., kitchenware or linens or the 1960s. Not every antique shop is obligated to appeal to men in order to be worthy of five stars, just like not every clothing brand needs to appeal to every gender or age group. This particular antique shop has teacups, postcards, jewelry, art, a small assortment of lamps and light fixtures, linens, knick-knacks, etc. I would say most items are from the mid-1900s or earlier. The owner sews felt Christmas ornaments and table runners by hand, and she also makes charming earrings from old necklace beads and, I think, chandelier crystals. Her shop is one of the tidiest in the area, and her prices are very fair. I enjoy going there to check out what's new.

But just know this is a WOMAN'S sort of antique store - 90% of the stock, at least today, will be of little interest to most men. But what they have is good stuff, tightly packed and nicely presented. Dave & Anne

But having gone back a couple of times since then I always seem to find that super cool niche thing for a gift or just my own personal collection I do find that some of the vendors here are a little more high priced But most always you can negotiate down a little bit and get a better deal and that's the point of antiquing right. So I definitely recommend it and we will be back to explore their treasures often

There isn't much in the way of service unless you scan little pictures on the vendors booth to get someone to come to help you. It's definitely way different than it was just a few years back before the new owners came in. The energy is even different. I was told by one of the vendors that they don't just have video cameras, but also audio so they can listen in on conversations. I guess that's not horrible and we should expect it when we're in public anyway, but it made me a little uneasy anyway. They have some cool stuff just like all antique malls do but you can always find parking here. I also used to come here because I've lived nearby for 21 years and I noticed the prices on things I had looked at before did go up when they changed the tags with the new owners. In closing, it's worth a try, but I wouldn't have huge expectations. Some days they have a Carne Asada griller in the parking lot too.

There are SO many vendor booths and there is something for everyone - kitchenware, MCM, farmhouse, model cars, sewing crafts, glassware, books... you name it. Most of the booths have a very specific curated vibe or theme, so it helps you narrow down where you want to browse. I always seem to have luck with vinyl records, which is usually slim pickings at other antique shops I've been to. Each vendor dictates their prices. Most things were very reasonable, though some things were more than I'd personally pay - but value is in the eye of the beholder, anyway. The staff here is so welcoming and helpful, and you can tell that they love what they do. Definitely check them out!

Friendly, informative, helpful, and just plain happy are a few descriptors that come to mind. Honestly, the woman behind the counter at Sparrow & Nightingale's was all of those things. She greeted happily greeted us, asked if she could help, demonstrated a paint product we were interested in, thanked us for even the small purchase we made, and left us with a smile. Sooooo few and far between are these interactions in customer service industries that it's no wonder a lot of purchases are made online. Anyway, kudos to Sparrow and Nightingale's, we will definitely be back. Thank you.

Many different items to see or purchase as each vendor display their own unique style. It is an adventure in some ways put you in a Victorian state of mind. Staff is very informative and helpful without making you feel pressured and you can look at your own pace. They are, however, there to answers questions or concerns as well as give advice on perhaps a refurbishing project you may be doing. I would recommend Sparrow & Nightingale's for that unique gift whether be a Victorian type gift or if you just want to get the one of a kind item. 10/15 Visited Sparrow and Nightingale today to capture the upcoming Halloween theme all the shops in Sumner display. It is such an adventure with all the " scary" items to enhance their already uniqueness. I love the whole downtown of Sumner and the Victorian feeling but by far this shop is my favorite as staff is friendly and informative. It seems no matter how many times I visit Sparrow and Nightingale I do not see all the unique items. Vendors change their displays so you never know what you will see, but I guarantee if the one kind and unique item you seek, more than likely it will be here. It would be worth your time to pay a visit.
