This location is very clean and well organized. The staff are nice and fast at checkout lanes. They have a good selection of literally everything. The prices are reasonable with random sales. We always go here for seasonal items and quick restocks. The AC is always good during hot days which make the produces and perishables fresh and ready for pickup :) read more

Typical target. Plenty of parking. Wait times to check out are out of control. 20 mins is just too long to wait. Only two registers open. And the cashiers always seem to be working in slow motion. Once again, we enter the store at opening, it's not even crowded, but we are challenged with moving through the aisles because of all of the employees stocking, arranging, picking, etc., and they all act as though WE, THE CUSTOMERS, are the inconvenience. I go early because I am on the autism spectrum and easily overwhelmed, and overstimulated. It does no good to go early or anytime because the employees get paid by the hour, but they act as though their life depends on every task they have ahead of them. Sorry, Target. I used to come here alot when I was couponing. Now I just come to check out the book selection. They have a lot of YA like Crave and The Inheritance Games and rom-com stuff like Love Hypothesis. I'm starting see to quite a bit of spice too! (YAY for that!) They had Court of the Vampire Queen by Katee Robert. When I saw that I thought, "Ooooookay, Target coming in hot with that smut!" lol I scored with The Fine Print by Lauren Asher. ;P What is up with the lines?! Two registers open and self check out was backed up all the way to cosmetics at around 12pm! It took me 15min in self check out before I reached the machine. All in all, I'm still down to stop through. They always have a decent selection of books I like to read with an extra 20% off - which ends up being less than Amazon's already low price. :) read more

I'm from out of town visiting my aunt on Easter weekend 3/30/24. I came to this target to get my son a pair of jeans for tonight's dinner reservations. The changing room they have only has 3 dressing rooms. It's in the middle of the store and the line was a 20 min wait. I noticed they had another one on the other side. I asked the employees if they could open one of them since 5 employees were at the one that's in use. The employee's response was sorry we can't use that dressing room cause they're being used for storage. This is ridiculous & poor service. Visited this target in La Quinta Saturday 8/30/25 of Labor Day weekend. Two cashiers were open with extremely long lines. Self checkout was long too. Once I finally reached the front of the line I told the cashier he needed help & back up and should call for help. He replied by telling me with an attitude that he couldn't hear me, after I repeated myself, he rudely replied, "not my fault!" I told him I know it wasn't. He should call his manager. He said it's not my problem. You are being rude to me which I replied, No I'm not. don't speak to me in that tone. I'm a customer. He had already scanned some of my items. A nice lady behind me in line also stated to the employee you're being rude to her. Don't speak like that to a customer. What does he do, to our shock? He stopped, scanning my items and walked away from the cash register with items on the conveyor belt and a long line behind me of people trying to check out. He went into an "employees only" room. he left no manager ever came out. No one ever came out to help us or to see what the situation was until. Finally, we flagged down an employee and she came and cashed out the rest of my items. She said she did not have a clue who that employee was, and Did not see a manager. I've tried calling target seven times since it happened and I cannot get a hold of anyone on the phone. I left very disappointed this employee was very unprofessional, very immature. He was working at cashier #7 at approximately 2:15 pm. My hope is that finally a manager steps up & looks at the video of the employee. They know who he is. They know where he was working at what time of the day and rectify the situation so it never happens again by someone getting triggered and having a temper tantrum. read more

How do you have bad customer service in a drive up? Never fails every time I go to drive up and get my stuff they either give me the wrong order (after I make sure by checking my own bag....whats the point of providing the code?) or just straight up are rude. Come to the car, don't greet you, toss my items in the car without care. One guy hit my window by not being careful with a bottle inside the bag and didn't even apologize or anything when I expressed for him to be careful. This Target is really lacking. Do they even have a manager? The customer service counter usually only has 1 worker and they look overwhelmed. Lines are always long to return or do online pickup. The store is never stocked even though the online inventory will show plenty of stock. There are usually 2 employees camped out and talking while they oversee the self checkout stands, while the other checkout lanes are full. Employees never offer help. I've lived all over the country and this is probably one of the worst Targets I've been too. I moved here 4 months ago to live here full time so I've frequented the store enough to see that this is apparently the norm around this location. Do better! read more

Got yelled at by an employee bringing in carts for using the bathroom to change my baby. ALL bathrooms were closed off for some reason and the women's bathroom door was open and other customers were using it but when I come out from just changing my baby I am the one who gets yelled at. Was here to buy some flowers on the left side of the store entrance when an associate was starring me down as I chose my flowers. Walking up to self checkout, I was given almost a stank look for no reason. I continue to self checkout and look to my right to make sure she isn't staring (at this point it's just uncomfortable and weird) and she looks away. This store used to be my favorite place to bring my niece, walk all the aisles, buy tons of stuff. Not anymore. The La Quinta location has been going straight downhill for over 5 years. Since it has gone downhill, I rarely shop there anymore. I've been converted to Wal-Mart. So, about two weeks ago I was looking for something specific and I had to go into this store. The shelves were fully stocked, which is actually very rare for this location. So I went back two days ago, and I swear, I thought I was in a different location. The shelves were back to normal, patchy openings and not fully stocked. What happened in the last two weeks? Did all of that merch get purchased? There was zero rubbing alcohol. Zero. Not a drop. I'm so sick of trying to shop at this store. At least they are consistent with being poorly stocked. read more

Came to purchase very cheap 20$ wired headphone and they put my 20 dollar dill bill through the machine and said my money was fake and that I was being un honest I told them to re run the money in the machine again up in the front and the manager told me no that he wasn't going to even try and made me feel like my hard earned money was not real ? I'm in the store often, as it's very close to my home. Numerous times Ive found the self checkout machines broken, or working at limited capacity. For instance, only excepting cash. Of course you don't see this hand written note until you've rung up your sale. More importantly, I've been in the store twice when only one cashier is working. So you end up with this very long line since 2 of the 4 self serve machines aren't working either Some people are even abandoning their carts in line I like target enough that I still shop here. But I'm aware when I go in, the checkout will be very unprofessional, and you will have very few options about how to pay for something. Most stores just really want your money. I don't understand why target does not. read more

I frequent this target as it is on my way to work and on my way home. I always stop here to pick up whatever I need or order ahead and pick it up. Haven't had any issues and my most recent visit was yesterday, 5/20 to pick up some birthday gifts. I love their selection of gift cards and love that that finally have a cardboard option for Target gift cards as I hate buying the plastic ones that just end up in the trash after one use. I also picked up a Jamba Juice gift card and it was cardboard as well. read more

The worst experience in this store. Staff are non existent. Waited forever in return line only to have the single salesperson leave to collect orders for order pick up. The order pick up counter was not staffed. Clearly this young man had instructions to ignore the return line and focus on order pick up. Eight people waited in line while he left to service the one person who just arrived to the pick up line. Exhausting!!! read more

For the most part I like coming to this target to shop in store. Most of the time I don't ever have to wait in line but of course during holidays, like now, they are really busy and have long lines. The self checkout line can be extremely long sometimes but if you look, everyone usually only has a few items so it's not too bad. But i also like doing online orders for the drive up option, but I do not recommend picking up in the store. There could be 3 people in line for pick up and they'll do one at a time.. having to walk all the way to the back of the store to pick up your order then back to the front to check you out. Then again for the next person, etc. I feel like theres had to be a more time efficient way to do these. read more

Didn't mind the shopping aspect but I love target and this ones customer service was awful. Went to check out and the cashier who just opened up and let us in the lane (as we just finished putting all of our groceries on the belt) then says she had to switch lanes because something was wrong, didn't offer to help us switch everything over either, so we went to another lane with someone else and they said they needed to take their break and they couldn't help us. Ultimately we ended up doing self checkout with a ton of groceries. Just not a good experience overall and I realize now why this one has a low rating. read more
