You'll have a much better experience shopping here if you understand their business model. They rotate products fairly often so what you see one day may be gone the next, never to return. I don't mind checking back week to week. It's basically like a grocery store version of Ross or TJ Maxx/Marshalls where the business sells overstock items. Over time, they've stocked more and more items that I typically consume and find their deals to be pretty damn good. Yes, sometimes their "elsewhere" prices are comically inflated and not everything is necessarily a good deal here. Usually I come here first and get what's a good deal and fill in the rest at a typical grocery store. For example, if you come here specifically for produce, you'll likely be disappointed. If you see steeply discounted items, they are most likely at or near the "best by" date. I've gotten in the habit of checking dates so it's not an issue. If you have some sense, items like canned goods, dry sealed foods or pasteurized refrigerated goods (except milk) will last well beyond the date. Usually I purchase what I will eat or drink within the next week. I now feel a bit of excitement coming back often to see what's new and typically leave feeling like I scored some great buys! read more

When the original owners sold it recently, I was happy because I saw improvements in the store with filled shelves, more items, new items. Now I don't know what happened but it's right back to the shits with empty shelves, items not stocked, can't find the things I really need. I wish they would have put a real store here. read more

I'm so disappointed because since the turn over in ownership the store had gone down. I wish it wasn't like that because it is so nice to have a grocery store close to the cove. This is a decent place to pick up a 'quick' something you may have forgot. It's much better than a local gas station or Walgreens but for major grocery shopping, I didn't find it helpful. There wasn't much produce. There were very few spices. The meat section had the basics and the choices looked fresh. The bread section was poorly stocked. They were out of 1 gallon jugs of milk (they did have organic for $6). We were trying to stock up for the house we just rented in the area and could only get a handful of items to tie us over until the next time we could shop. read more

This place is TERRIBLE. I've been there ONCE... literally once. My first impression??? I was taking pictures of avocados to my mother in law because I loved the pricing of them and the cashier somehow took it that I was taking pictures of her? I literally had my phone down and not facing anyone lol. I proceeded to check out she made a rude comment in front of other customers saying " do we have a fucking problem? Do you think it's funny taking pictures of me?" I showed her the picture but obviously this girl doesn't care but how embarrassing it is to even say that stuff in front of others? Btw she was blonde, fat, a little talll. Definitely the worst person to deal with at that place. Disgusting attitude. Literally was my first impression of this place. Check the dates on your food. We've shopped here for the past year for quick dinner grabs and never had an issue. Kids sick after shopping here the last two times. Visited today and everything is expired. Pasta, mozzarella cheese, drinks. They are even selling expired food for a discount? Crazy. Must be under new management or ownership. I usually really like Grocery Outlet. This location is TERRIBLE! The shelves are half empty, many items have no sign, and the bathrooms were absolutely DISGUSTING! On top of all that, they do not honor the price on their own signs. Even the owner wouldn't honor their mistake. I will not be back. I think all Grocery Outlets are an interesting time... with the cost of food rising and the fact that snoutin' round the GO is a fun way to pass the time ... I am surprised when people tell me they don't shop there! This one of course isn't in my area where I live, but it is in an area I work. I have to stay in this area a bunch so one evening I decided to check it out before I went to a wine thing. Glad I did! First... this one is simply huge! The amount of space in the aisles almost made this location look sparse. Where I love the GO is freaking packed with stuff, and you gotta dig around elbow to elbow with drug addicts and lawyers for the best deals. Here you could toss a bag of rock and it would take sometime for a user to find it! There were a lot of Christmas decorations already out and a plethora of beauty products. I picked up some shampoo and foot masks. I am glowing up you see... gotta do fun beauty things! They have a lot of low carb goodies. Although I almost was tricked by some old items that were wayyyy past the sell date. Seriously check those dates people!!! They had Daily Harvest items that blew my mind... because I used to subscribe to them and didn't think I'd ever see them in stores. They also had tons of weird vegetarian items! I decided on getting some shelf stable items and keto buns to keep my own buns in shape! After all I've got some important things coming up and I want to be at my best! Thanks GO! The produce part of the market was sparse but they had salad and such. They had a large frozen food aisle. It was weird that nobody homeless wasn't sticking their head in the refrigerated aisle like at my own GO. Overall a good experience and I'll be back. Came here earlier today and was attempting to buy some 99cent cold foam since it was on sale. the cashier had my son recheck the price as it didnt ring up correctly, then called the manager to honor it. The manger came out with the worst attitude and immediately said we were wrong and that the cold foam would never be that low. Just a nasty and rude woman, do better grocery outlet! read more

Absolutely obsessed with this grocery store. Always stocked with tons of variety.i love the prices , you can't find better prices for your groceries anywhere else. So worth it. Employees are super nice and helpful. I will never again shop anywhere else. This is my go to for groceries and anything else I need. They have just about everything! This store is always at a bare minimum and shelves are almost always half empty...would really like to see it improved..was looking forward to seeing a grocery store close by but can never find what we need so we end up just going to Ralph's or Staters..Corporate should take over and evaluate how this store is being managed as there seems to be no improvement in months..the GO in Palm Desert is nothing like this one which actually puts it to shame. read more

Talked to a customer who was voicing a concerns There was a line of about 8 people to one cashier He came up and opens and the customer stated a complaint that there was "bad service", the employee looked at the customer as said "oh yeah well I'm here now aren't I" , the customer then said he was going to call the manager and the employee told him "go ahead , nothings going to happen anyway" In my 20+ years in retail I have never see someone really not care about customer service I understand this business is run independently with an owner operator , but if my name and likeness were literally painted on a poster at the entrance I would be embarrassed to have employees like that I hope someone takes notice and revisits customer service, sense of urgency and how to staff accurately during a weekend, especially and event weekend. I felt so offended for the customer and really embarrassed that a grown man would act like that In front of his other team members. So excited to be the first person to provide a review on our new neighborhood market. We've been waiting awhile for the right fit for our city. Upon walking into the market employees engage you right away. Very friendly it's spacious but not a huge market which I honestly prefer. You'll find all the necessities you need good quality at amazing prices. The veggies are fresh and nicely organized that's always my judge maker for grocery stores. How fresh the veggies are really gives an idea on how the quality will be on other items. The wine selection is amazing! Great quality wines at amazing prices. They have a coupon for new customers right now as they are celebrating their grand opening. I walked out with so much stuff for under 50 that's the first time in a long time. Grocery Outlet is slowly emerging as no longer the best kept secret. It takes a few times of shopping to get the groove of the foods they keep stocked regularly, but once you've got it, you'll never go back to big box store shopping again. Always great customer service, tons of organic choices, and a great assortment of snacks and charcuterie board foods. They also have a section with seasonal gifts and cards at such affortable prices. I Live 45 min away (almost in another county) I am extremely pleased with this store in La Quinta. Staff have been Helpful, Professional, Friendly AND Knowledgeable regarding their products. I am greeted as I enter the store and as I shop I am asked if I need help finding anything. When I check out at register the Cashier smiles, makes eye contact and thanks me for shopping there.....All of These actions are rare and no longer practiced in many businesses. I certainly appreciate it, this causes me to continue to bring my money to this location. I also return often for the delicious Sweet Matcha and Dried Mangos, both quality products . It's sort of a cross between a dollar store and an Aldi. I enjoyed it the first time for us novelty, but we haven't gone back since.

Today was my second time at this store, I stopped by to get a few items since it's the closest grocery store to us it's were I would go to pick up whatever I needed last minute. Staff has never been friendly but today I walked out of the store angry, and upset of how bad there customer service is. I reached for a 4 pack case of bottled Izzy drinks not realizing the bottom of the carton was ripped, so as soon as I grab it 2 glass bottles fall on the floor and brake one cutting my foot, there are two gentlemen working at the registers not one asks if I'm fine,or makes an attempt to go over I go over to the register and asks him if he can help with clean up and he says sure I'll get someone and both go on ringing customers when the finish and there is no line I go over again because nobody is there to help yet my foot is bleeding I ask for a paper towel and he simply says they don't have any,..I stand next to the glass so no one else steps on it and finally a young girl who says she is the manger comes I ask again for a paper towel to stop the blood on my leg and she says no they don't have any and her next words were it's ok you don't have to pay for the broken bottles, by this time I was upset never asked are you ok, what can I do to help she starts cleaning another gentlemen who says he is also a manger comes and gives me a few paper towels and a band aide. Why can't the staff be trained on what to do in these cases, what if I had been severely injured...I understand this was an accident but any other grocery store would make sure the customer was ok, I asked for general Manger or to contact them and they didn't have any information. I took my first trip into this location today. I only needed one item (which they didn't have) and wanted to look at Christmas decorations because I've found some cute items at other locations in the past. I found some really cute things and headed to the check out. I noticed that the employees on the floor weren't overly friendly. They didn't offer to help me find anything when I was clearly looking and didn't even say hello or make eye contact. It was like I wasn't even there. Anyway, while in line, there was one person in front of me and a few people behind me. I placed my items on the belt and was waiting my turn when all the sudden I felt someone poking me on my lower back. When I turned around there was a little girl staring at me, asking me if I had money. I was caught offguard and asked her to repeat what she said. And again she said "Do you have money?". I looked at the lady behind her/me and she wasn't with her. So I awkwardly said "yes" and then asked where her mother was. Before she could answer me, the cashier said "oh thats the owners niece. Her tia's are the owners". The customer in front of me said she had done the same to her and it threw her off too. The cashier, unlike the other employees I encountered, was very nice. But this girl was maybe 5 or 6 at the most and she's allowed to run free around strangers, clearly unsupervised, asking customers for money? I don't know, that just left me feeling very uncomfortable and it's not something that would make me want to return as it was incredibly inappropriate. My current go-to store in La Quinta. I sometimes laugh to myself walking out with filled grocery bags feeling like I've stolen from them, ha-ha. Serious savings on nearly every item - I am a bargain shopper - especially on their N.O.S.H. aisle. Sure, they may lack some items, I couldn't find toothpicks the other day, but also found Cascadian organic breakfast cereal for 99 cents a box. Do watch the expiration dates on baked goods, but also look for steep markdowns on items soon to expire. Produce looks good, meats are pre-packaged and well-priced also. I am also frequently surprised by brands not ordinarily found - sauerkraut from Bavaria, upscale sardines. Anyway, have fun shopping and say Hi to the friendly employees. read more
