I love this Ralph's but today I witnessed a Ralphs employee, who works in the deli department, park in a convenient front space after blocking​ us customers while waiting for the spot to open.​ The ironic part is that she parked in front of a sign that reads 'Parking while shopping at Ralphs'. This is the second time I have seen employees taking prime parking spaces that ​could be reserved for customers.​ In a busy lot where customers often have to park at the farthest end, having front spaces occupied by employees for entire eight-hour shifts significantly impacts the customer experience. Most businesses designate specific parking areas for their staff to ensure convenient access for shoppers. I hope ​Ralph's management will consider implementing or enforcing an employee parking policy to keep the front spaces available for your customers. read more

What an annoying experience I had there. I went to the self checkout line and the lady employee who oversees the self check out was hovering over me. I could understand if items are being stolen, I had about 10 items, I've been going to this Ralph's for over 10 years. The it you're going to be right on my back with little personal space, bag it up. I stopped by this massive Ralph's location on a recent visit to Indio and was super impressed with the quality of the produce and flowers and overall selection of all kinds of other items. The staff seemed friendly and the store seemed clean enough... the restrooms too, which I needed after sitting in the car for quite some time! I purchased some random items including flowers, bulk candy, snacks, toiletries, juice boxes, and dog food / supplies. We don't have Ralph's in Phoenix where I live, but if we did, I'd shop here for sure... We do have Fry's, which is also part of the Kroger family, but I think Ralph's is better from my quick visit! read more

Visited store twice.First visit with meat market attendant (beard with hoodie) was not good. It's all OK My 2nd visit to store and same meat market attendant (beard with hoodie) was worse than previous. Asked about Ribeye Prime cuts, he said " I have 3 in the back did I want one". I told him I wanted to see before buying he told me "they were all alike did I want one". He showed such a reluctance to let me see them that I decided not too. I'm not going to buy a steak sight unseen, so I went and purchased something else. He obviously knew I was not happy, made no attempt to show me the steaks. Crazy bad service and poor attitude. I am not a big fan of this Ralphs location in Indio, which is on the border of La Quinta. I usually go when I only need a couple of items and do not want to drive all the way into the La Quinta business district. The store setup is very congested, and merchandise is stacked very high. This gives the impression the store is coming in on you. Although this could just be me, competitors do not do this. It is just a tight and congested setup. On my most recent visit, I needed a couple of items and some cash. I asked the female cashier (didn't notice a name tag) how much cash back was allowed. She said $200 and then rudely asked, "Is that what you want to do?" I said yes, and she took a deep breath. Oh boy, my cash back request was too much for this cashier apparently, and I thought she might have to get some cash from the manager. I was correct. Unfortunately, I inadvertently upset this cashier with requesting $200 cash back. I will continue to avoid this Ralphs location. read more

We moved here about 7 months ago full time. In this time I have brought home unintentionally spoiled food and produce. It makes me angry because it's the closest store to me, so like an idiot I keep going back, and they will continue selling out of date items, or it's bad. It's expensive throwing away 4 avocados, and lunch meat that smells, AND today this chicken. I bought this chicken for tonight's dinner on Sunday. I just opened the package and it's spoiled. ITS ONLY TUESDAY. The date on the package says to "Sell By 01/12/2021;" it's today's date. . It will take me 12 minutes to drive to Ralph's just to get my money back, during Covid I hate to make extra trips. My time is more valuable than the $5.91. As I was checking out today, I noticed I'd accidentally piled all of my groceries on top of my loaf of bread. So I said out loud "oh bummer, I crushed my bread", Ruben, the ever-effective checker, overheard me as I was talking to myself and he offered to get me a replacement loaf of bread. I declined as I didn't want to be a burden and it was my mistake so I figured I deserved crushed bread! Then, Karra, the thoughtful sacker grabbed my crushed loaf and ran to get me a replacement loaf! Ruben and Karra made my night! They were both so thoughtful, courteous, attentive, professional and personable! I hope Ralphs knows they have little treasures (aka Ruben & Karra) who elevate a typical grocery shopping experience exponentially!!!! Another day at Ralphs, I wanted to let you know I had another awesome experience at the Ralphs on Jefferson/Ave 50 at the Citrus Plaza. Larry, in the flower department, was incredibly helpful, friendly and kind. He retrieved an inflated dinosaur for me and though fully assembled it for me along w filling up other balloons. Also, Todd at checkout was fast and funny, expeditious w cleaning his area between customers and authentic with his charisma. I am not one to write reviews because I do like to give places and people the benefit of the doubt but after 3 times of experiencing the same in professionalism I must write. Thank have experienced 3 times in the past 2 weeks where their items that are on sale scan full price. Not a big deal right? Just have them fix the price. Here is where the problem lies. When I asked for help in the self checkout line the girl treated me as if I was bothering her. She had no concern for the inconvenienced was to have to wait 10 min for a manager to come help approve her price fix. She also seemed to be in so much of a hurry she was hitting the wrong buttons and making errors. I live right up the street from this location and I am new to this area but I will be returning to the Bermuda Dines location where they are more professional and kind. read more

Ralph's Fresh Fare in La Quinta is a showcase store for the Ralph's corporation and it's annual gross sales are in the millions of dollars. It has a distinctive niche in that it is situated centrally between greater La Quinta, the La Quinta Cove, and the outlying county areas of Thermal, Vista Santa Rosa, and Oasis, where there are no other large chain grocery stores. With this said, we are fortunate to have such a well-stocked, dynamic and accessible location so close to home. Ralph's has everything from the Kroger store brands to the finest, top-of-the-line provisions one cannot easily find elsewhere. The staff is genuinely friendly, helpful and cheerful (which is rare, because working in retail is NOT an easy task). I was concerned when one of this locations friendliest and most helpful managers, Juan, retired earlier this year, but I was pleasantly surprised when the store continued to run with helpful smiles and friendly staff after his departure. Among some of the wonderful people who stand out to us as regulars are: Aaron, Roman (at the Starbucks kiosk), Karra, Gwyn, and so many others whose names I cannot remember. P.S. a valuable shoppers' tip: If you are a regular at this store, and they don't have a specific item you want, just ask a manager. They will see to it that the item gets stocked regularly, even if you're the only customer that ever buys it. Their inventory-to-overhead ratio and massive sales allow them to do this on a regular basis. Sadly, the only reason I could not give Ralph's Fresh Fare a five-star review is that the deli is hideous. Most of the food is left out way too long, the staff who man the deli seem to be led by someone with an entirely different customer service style than the rest of the store, because they are rude, off-putting, and seem to be unable to manage a deli counter with five-plus employees, even when there are only a few customers waiting. If you want a fresh sandwich made, expect to spend at least half an hour just getting someone to help you, and the ingredients will be sub-par compared to the rest of the store. read more

Thank you to the cashier who helped me this past Monday, 2/15! It was busy as ever and I accumulated more groceries than I had planned. When I was checking out, the bagger asked if I brought my own bags and I said yes. He proceeded to walk away after I said that so I assumed due to Covid I would be bagging them myself? Wasn't sure. But the cashier called to him and said bag them and the bagger questioned and the cashier confirmed by nodding. I'm not sure if I had to bag my own stuff because I brought my own bags and didn't go to self checkout because I had way too many items to hold up that line but I appreciate any help as it can get somewhat stressful when you are alone, got too many groceries and are trying to hurry because of the line behind you! Great Store!! So many ready made food to choose from!! I chose Veggie Sushi, and it was DELICIOUS! Grab a number at the Deli and wait your turn. This Ralphs store that I found near our Vrbo rental house in La Quinta (the store itself is actually in Indio) should've been five stars. Should've been, but I couldn't do it. It was impeccably clean and well stocked. It boasted a great deli section and fresh produce. It was easy to navigate with excellent signage. Sounds five star right? Not so fast Buck-O. My two bitchisms that dropped it a star - I even debated about dropping two stars - were: First, the beer coolers. They were those idiotic coolers with no doors. All of the cold escapes into the aisle. One must dig that case of beer from the very back to have any semblance of chill. Second - and this is a real pet peeve of mine - The 15 items or less "express" lane. The signs at this Ralphs read "About 15 Items". What the hell is that? "About"? I had three items. Not "about" three. Exactly three. Two of which were alcohol so I could not use self-checkout. Meanwhile, the woman in front of me had a full cart. I'd say "about" 60 items. Is 60 "about" 15? I guess technically it is. Or is it? Do you know why I use the express lane when I have just three items? Because I don't want to be behind the woman with 60 f-ing items, that's why. It is the EXPRESS lane for a reason. Pick an f-ing number of items Ralphs and stick with it! Ambiguity is no one's friend! read more

At Ralph's in Citrus Plaza in Indio, CA., Brian in Meat & Seafood helped me today with a large order of fresh caught crab. Brian went above and beyond good customer service by agreeing to crack and clean our whole crabs before wrapping them up to take home. He also made sure that we knew about a significant price drop on the crab to take place tomorrow (we unfortunately needed our crab tonight). Brian provided what only can be described as outstanding customer service and we left the store as very happy and dedicated Ralph's patrons. WORSE Pharmacy! Stay away from Ralphs on Jefferson in Indio next to La Quinta. They have trouble filling prescriptions the same day your doctor sends it over. Then you have a long wait in line to pick it up with everyone in line complaining about the wait. If that's not bad enough, once you get to the window for pick up, the dark-haired woman at the counter is rude and acts as if she's doing you a favor. If you ask to use a GoodRx coupon, she sighs and snickers! She's very unhappy and shares her unhappiness with you! This market is the only one in the the area. Sometimes the lines are so long to pay for groceries that the lines form down the isles. You're not able to walk near the check out stands. They know they have a captive audience so their PRICES ARE HIGHER! They get lots of out-of-towners, people in the high-rent areas, and music festival people. Okay so I had been looking for "CHESTNUTS"...NOT water chestnuts but regular "chestnuts" you know the "chestnuts" that have been a staple for over 100 years here in America as well as Europe! The same chestnuts they sell on every other corner in New York around Thanksgiving & Christmas! The same chestnuts put in stuffing for Thanksgivng. I went online & Ralph's online said they were available at this location so I took my break from work to drive over there. NO chestnuts either canned, jarred, or even in the shell a week before Thanksgiving!! EVERY employee took me to water chestnuts! Finally I go to produce and I am told they have them in the shell. So I go to the manager and because of him I will never shop at this store again. He was condescending and actually told me he had NEVER heard of chestnuts!! That he had been in the grocery business for over 23 years and never even heard of them Lol! Really sophisticated guy, huh! Then he told me that their website did not have them on there, argued with me about it and acted as if I was weird because I was looking for them! WHO does that as a professional. Just shows how uneducated he is about food and then he says well we have them in the shell according to the website. We go to produce and the rude jerk over there says nope we don't have them and don't even know if we will get them! Wow...I flat out told him sarcastically that okay I can see there aren't too many sophisticated people here so I will go to Williams Sonoma or Bristol Farms where I know they have them. The persons in the service deli are incompetent. There were five people standing in line waiting for service. I was a third person waiting in line the service deli person started helping a customer in front of me and another customer so I asked the person are we in the right place do you service the whole line she said yes I said because there are two customers in front of the one that you're attempting to help we were here first she said OK. The ticket machine is not working is first come first serve I said yes, I understand but we were in line before this customer, she proceeded to help the customer instead of coming down to where I was in the other customer worse. I asked for a manager to come the manager came and try to correct the situation but by time he got there the items that I wanted were no longer available because a customer service tech person in the service deli did not do her job. One of the cleanest, well stocked and friendliest Ralph's I've ever been to. One of the funniest things was seeing all the workers in chicken hats. Which tells me that they have a fun culture and explains why everyone is always smiling. At checkout, the bagger asked if she could help take one of our carts. Bought an iTunes card and it wouldn't work. Called apple and was told this card had been purchased a year prior and was returned. Then Ralph's put it back on the shelf which is not supposed to happen but apple said that's what they had done. Cards can't be activated twice. Even though we got the activation receipt and they took our $20. We are screwed. I recommend you never buy gift cards from Ralph's. I will never be going back to this store again. I walked inside with my girlfriend in the early morning hours....... I feel like the leadership here is failing. I had a horrible experience. I did not know that I was walking into the worlds worst grocery store. Everyone was in a bad mood, the shelf stockers would ignore me and they shrugged me off. The check out person, was a complete deviant from the Ralph's customer service that I'm used to. I tried to sort things out with MIKE the manager. I was in Ralph store yesterday -located on Jefferson in Indio, California. There were many people shopping at around 5 pm. As I looked around there were multiple groups of people , doing shopping and checking out WERE NOT WEARING MASKS. In addition, most people waiting in line were not in at least 6 feet apart. There was no staff in the store directing the traffic flow, reminding customers to wear mask, and keep safe distancing. I heard that couple of employees who worked at Sherman Oaks store had passed due to Covid 19. When I reported this appalling observations to the two store managers in Indio location and in Bermuda Dunes location, they both stated that there was no directive from their supervisors that "Customers MUST wear mask" when shopping in store. Until the Corporate Ralph educate their line staff on transmission of Covid 19,and implement infection control measures for all their brand stores , shopping at all Ralph stores present a major RISK to the community at large. BTW, compare this to Vons, Stater Bros. and Sprouts nearby where my visits indicate appropriate safe behaviors are supported and followed by staff and customers alike. I'm extremely displeased with Ralph's. I was a dependable customer to this buissness but i was so displeased with how little the employees aid their customers lately. Recently i visited your store to acquire several groceries and i wanted some assistance reading several ingredients on a bean can that i was fascinted to be purchasing, i asked a worker who appeared pleasing but they stated they'd be right back and they had me waiting and never came to assist me.Im old, it would make sense why they'd forget to assist me but it composed me to feel extremely disrespected as a customer.I wish Ralph's would hire pleasing youthful individuals like they did before. I especially appreciate Veronica and several of the pharmacists. Before this pharmacy I used Target and Walmart and received some very poor service especially at Target. Usually have good experiences when in town but getting worse over the years. Driving in from out of town and needed a b-day cake, spoke with someone on Wednesday who after 5min directed me to order via website. Ordered a Disney team expecting the best only to be called on Saturday b-day morning while driving in from Utah that they cannot do that cake?!?! Last minute!!! we had made arrangements and they executed the cake incorrectly forgetting the middle layer of cream. Cake was cut for middle layer but with missing cream it fell apart constantly! read more
