It's got food, and on average it's for less. You get what you pay for, not sure what else one should expect.

I have only good things to say about this supermarket. True, this is not one of the upscale emporiums like Whole Foods Market where you can find six different varieties of caviar, but they do the basic stuff and do it very well. Moreover, service is outstanding. Employees are invariably courteous, efficient and friendly, and go out of their way to assist customers. Case in point, I'm a senior and tire quickly, so I go early to avoid long lines and avoid debilitating exhaustion. But on one occasion I was later than usual and struggling to stay upright while waiting my turn in line. An employee, noticing my distress, offered to open another checkout counter for me. Then there was the time my electric bike was stolen and I was stranded in the parking lot with $100 worth of groceries. The supermarket security guard noticed my dilemma and offered to drive me home to avoid spoilage, and even helped me carry the groceries to the door of my apartment building. Not only that, but he refused to accept a tip. Service doesn't get any better than that. read more

My girlfriend and I were trying to get some hot cheetos as a late night snack but were denied access 7 minutes before closing. The Hot Cheetos were located at the end cap right in front of the entrance, it would have taken no more than a minute to grab the chips and get in line but there doors were already closed and the employee signaled we couldn't go in. Super rude, we were trying to talk to him and he didn't even acknowledge us. I understand it's inconvenient when customers come in last minute but it's policy to keep doors open until advertised time, in this case 11pm not 10:53pm. It was a waste of our time as we made the drive out for nothing. Wouldn't recommend the Indio Food 4 Less location!! read more

This is the worst store from the outside in. I stopped in while doing some shopping for someone else and needed to use the restroom and I just rather pee on myself after viewing the conditions. I was unable to locate management so after I left the store on my way to make my food delivery I called the store and spoke with a young man that told me they didn't have anyone at the moment to clean the restrooms I asked when the last time was that they had someone to clean them he said less then an hour ago which is a boldfaced lie seeing as how I was there for an hour. The grocery aisles are filthy and employees seem unhappy. The Exterior of the store screams run don't shop here it's gross. read more

Store is okay but I received some racial act towards me and my family last night by the security guard that works Night Shift it was an older lady maybe In her 60s she looks Mexican which is crazy cause me and my family are from Mexican families long story short she was on our a** since we walked in the store I took my 4 yr old to the restroom walked out and went to buy some stuff we needed she then comes towards where we were heading and says hey!! Me and my husband turn and she tells us they close at 11 with a bothered face we got there at exactly 10:20 it was about 10:28 when she told us so we said ok thank you we still had over 30 minutes to get what we needed Whole time we were there she seemed to be following us which was uncomfortable making it seem like we were stealing or something or rushing us!! As we were approaching the registers she tells us in a louder tone of voice and rudely tells us they close at 11 again and my husband asks her in register 9 was open a she response we close at 11 rudely again we ignored her and get in line to pay for our stuff so as we wait my 4 yr old was looking at the candy like any other kid my son grabbed one looked at it and put it back this lady (security guard) comes and tells my son (accusing him) of opening the candy at that point I was already bothered and told her my son didn't open no candy and that he was accusing him she says he opened it you have to pay by it o then tell her that if she's so sure he opened it to look at it and give it yo me if it's open I'll pay it she then tries to grab my son and have him give her the candy he grabbed I tell my son no and she starts getting loud so I did too like any other mother would she tells me that my son opened the candy and I need to pay for it again and kept insisting so my husband asked for her name and she did not want to give her name and said it's non of our business and I told her then it's non of your business if my son open the candy or not and said she'll call the cops cause I'm getting violent and that they'll come quick I laughed and told her to do so she then starts walking away still talking and then tell me (I'm Not In My Mexico) I laughed and said what she repeated her self and walked away towards the back manager didn't want to give her name so my husband told him he will call. read more

Great environment with good workers at the near deli! Very polite and outstanding meat workers. But can't say the same towards the cashiers. I was attended by middle age angry and rude Rebecca. She was rude since the beginning with no politeness and absolutely did not care to help a customer. I asked her a question and she completely ignored me when she was clearly done charging someone. And so uncertain if she heard me I asked her again and snapped an answer back at me to wait till she had finished. Been coming to this Food 4 Less for good minute and already know what to expect. The parking lot is always packed with random grocery carts making it difficult to park in certain spaces and trash all over the place. Entrance is guaranteed to have a person loitering or a bum chilling there haha maybe a charity collector every other day as well. The grocery carts can be damaged so always test them out before you're fully committed. Prices here are the lower than most grocery stores except maybe WinCo. They always have plenty of items on sale. I can't rate the helpfulness of the employees because I never ask for guidance or help since I'm usually better off finding that item by myself. This establishment needs to renovate everything and stick with 1 layout! They keep switching the place around and makes it twice as long for me to find certain items. Checkout is moderately paced and is self-bag. Overall I'd give this place a C because they need to renovate the inside, regulate loiters at the entrance and maintain that parking lot! read more

I used to shop here and I liked it at first but now I don't. I'm a new mom and shopping here for wic was a bad experience. On my wic check it says I can buy 1% lactose free, OR 1% low fat non fat milk. Apparently, the women at the register said I couldn't do that. I've done this before at different grocery stores. She then asked the girl on the next aisle if that was okay. The other women said that it wasn't. I've never had that happened...I was allowed at the other grocery store but how come not here? I told her this and they still refused. I understand you don't want to get in trouble and wic is precise but I've done this before with no trouble at all. It's hard doing wic sometimes because people look down on it due to the process. needless to say, I won't be going back. Again these stores are not the greatest out here so sad to say but it's almost as if you need to go further into La Quinta to get to a Vons. You will find better markets around once you shop for produce and other fresh organic selections if you take a little drive into other dessert locations. Palm Dessert also has great markets but you will have to look them up on your maps and gps guide to find where they are at. read more

If I wad able to put 0 stars I would! The customer service was TERRIBLE! 6 out of 20 items I attempted to purchase were missed marked. When I brought it to the cashier's attention she pretty much said either pay the price or don't buy it. I asked for the manager she still would not come up, the cashier called her 4 times over the loudspeaker, finally she called up front and told customer service to go check the prices, I took him back and showed him where the items were and the price they were marked, when he got back to the checker he lied and said the items were not there. Again I demanded the manager, she still would not come up, finally she called up front and told the cashier to give me one of my items for the price I said they cost.
