Every manager in this store is huddled in the front of the store chatting. No one is working or helping customers. We waited 20 minutes after the associate who couldn't help us called someone to open a case. No one came until we went to the front and found them all there shooting the breeze. Fire all those managers and put some of the hard working people in their place!! No one needs a bunch of managers who stand around and complain about their jobs. read more

Lady Martha needs to be fired. Would not look at my receipt or scan it or get manager. Told me to go to another Walmart to return since their specific store would lose money on it. I think she thought I said 18 days ago when I said the 18th on a 15 day return yesterday the 1st of the month. The day before yesterday she pressed me on a water refill after I paid for it in the self checkout line with another Walmart worker there. When I asked her if she didn't believe me she said an aggressive mean tone "no I don't believe you". While walking out I turned back to say that the way she was acting was not acceptable and I didn't appreciate being barked at. Mind you this was a 59 cent water refill. These experiences has made me not want to go to a Walmart and I'm actively looking for my shopping needs at other places like Amazon and Aldi. Debating on 2 different alkaline countertops for my 18 wheeler rather than go in to Walmart just to buy faulty equipment that won't turn on/can't return or being harassed after walking out being accused of stealing something that isn't even worth a single dollar. Adding to the mess is asking for a manager and being denied.... This happened at around sunset on the 1st and the water situation happened the day before around the same time if anyone from corporate actually cares for their business and wants to do their job and investigate. But the way I was treated just makes me feel it would be a dishonor to go back to a Walmart or Sam's Club ever. read more

I'm a Sparks driver, your curbside team that brings out orders are amazing. Truly great workers. For them 10/10. The employees that work inside is a hit or miss. There's an older lady cashier who is SO EXTREMELY RUDE. Telling people not to come to her line if they have heavy items. It was a 13 pack of soda. She continued complaining about the way the gentlemen infront of me in line stacked his groceries on the conveyor belt (literallly nothing wrong with it). She said the belt wouldn't move because he over packed it....as it continued to move just fine and she complained. Not all of them, but generally your younger staff is so incredibly rude. I guess I understand how Uber or Sparks drivers can be annoying (I've seen rude ones that are oblivious to their surroundings), but I am personally NICE ASF when I visit your store, so to get attitude from employees is WILD. I'm not ever asking for anything unreasonable. I deliver groceries and I still have mine delivered to me because it's not worth entering the store. read more

We were in at the store around 4 o'clock on 30 December. We asked this young man probably 18 or 19 to help us get a bike down because the one on the floor was dirty and it had a return label on the seat! All he could say was, did you check out there in the lawn and garden section? We told him no we did not but right there's two of them hanging. We'd like to have one of those from there. Then I saw him go and get a two-step ladder. Meanwhile, we waited for 5 to 10 minutes. He was chitchatting with some friends so that I could see down the way came over with the ladder and got it down! Then we go to the checkout and the person in the self checkout was rude and didn't really want to help us either and then we said we checked with the security guy when we went through and all he could do is grumble at us when we try to be friendly with them! Really needs to focus on customer service in the store. I work retail for 45 years and I know it's hard to hire people that really care but oh my gosh three people at one time and this visit I had! People need to learn to be friendly and kind to each other and spread kindness. It would really help change the world! read more

Then asking about if customer service can do it, which should at least be a manager, and being told, "I think they're closed"... This is a typical Walmart but it's new and it's in California. You can't blame Walmart for that. The shelves were pretty well stock. That's always a good thing. We were there to look at computer keyboards which are locked up. Employee in that area wasn't happy about helping. No other employee around except the one. She was very disgruntled and was obvious about it. We did not like the fact that there were no checkers -- none -- not a one. Unless you went through the self-check line or one of the self-scan lines, you might not even see an employee. The self check was where 6 or 7 different check-outs were together and one employee was there to "help" or make sure you paid for everything. The self-scan was a single line just for you -- no checkers. We had an issue with one item checking out. Getting an employee to stop her conversation and help wasn't fast. We ended up not buying the item because it couldn't scan at the location. read more

On 5/12, I purchased a container of Ice Breakers at Walmart. It wasn't until I returned home 50 miles away did I realize that the container had been opened and placed back on the shelf. There was no way that it was worth driving all the way back to the store to exchange the product. I explained my situation via the Walmart survey site provided on the receipt. I was unsure I would receive a response but amazingly the next day I got a phone call from Cesar the GM asking about the issue. I told him what had happened and he said no problem, I can fix it for you. Wow!!!! Very cool!! I went in earlier to buy a charger for my laptop. It didn't work out, so I went back to return/exchange for something else. When I went up to the counter, the guy told me they were closed and didn't do returns after 7 pm. The guy in the front was surprised and said it should be 9 pm. I would give a 0 if I could!!! The workers in the aisles were rude and the checker was absolutely RATTLED AND RUDE!!!!! It was at least 20 minutes in line to checkout and the checker told us to tell the people behind us that she was closed. We had a LONG line behind us of people that had been waiting almost as long as us. The mother and daughter in front of us were acting strange and the mother had a baby in the basket with items. She went through without being checked! In the aisle the male worker just pushed a cart through the aisle and if we hadn't moved, he would have hit us and then parked in the middle of the aisle and walked over to the other side ending up blocking the whole aisle!! DON'T SHOP HERE is my recommendation! I'm backing off a star. Why? Well let me say this first off. My home Wal-Mart is a 4 minute drive for me. Why do I travel from Palm Desert to Indio? Your store is clean, and you have a LOT more variety than the other Wally's. In the international section you have a 4 ft section dedicated to hot sauces alone. There are so many items it can make your head spin like an out of control top. But, why did I take away a star? Because the last THREE times I have shopped here, there were three electric carts that WERE OUT OF ORDER! They were plugged in just inside the West door with signs on them. BROKEN, BROKEN, BROKEN! GET THE DAMN THINGS FIXED! With all the EFFING money that comes in, you are not doing right by your senior and/or disabled customers. What could be worse than that? We were told these baskets are NOT GOING TO BE FIXED OR REPLACED! REALLY? Well guess what? I was going to grocery shop today. Normally I spend about $500 a month in this chain, well I spent $16 here today on canning supplies. I did the rest of my shopping at STATER BROS! That's another axe to grind on Wally. Your produce section sucks. My produce does not hold up very long at all. Within a week my greens are spoiled which is why I have to shop so often. You need to open your eyes and listen to what I am telling you. I CANNOT maneuver a store the size of a Super Center without an electric cart. So I went to the Facebook page for this store and it doesn't allow you to leave critical feedback regarding the store, policies or staff. Last night I went to this Walmart to purchase a few items including a training potty for my son, the website shows the potty for 16.48. The shelf price shows 24.98 but the box rang up 29.98. The staff would not honor the price match to Walmart website from their own actual website, stating this is the Mgr policy because of shipping cost, ahh there's free shipping to the store it's close enough not to be an imposition so I refused to buy the potty and said I would be posting a negative comment because of their unwillingness to follow Walmart corporate policy! read more

The most wonderful time of the year ( Christmas) is not so wonderful at Walmart but I was on a journey to find a specific Ryan toy for my son. ... After searching and searching my journey was not concerned ... I was so sad that my son was not going to get the only thing he asked Santa for this Christmas... As I was walking out the store a nice man by the name of Joseph was there and asked me if I found everything ok. I said No!! I can't find the toy that I came here for.. Can you help me find it??? I asked him. I asked if he could check the system for the toy to see if it was in the store... Joseph checked and it turned out they did have it in store... We went to check out , there were NO check stands open , my granddaughter was screaming because it was to hot. We had to check out our groceries and the conveyer belt wasn't working! I have a Wal Mart very close to me, but I was in Indio and I had a list, so I stopped in. Got everything on my list, not much, but I DID get a bottle of alcohol. There was only ONE register open with a real human running it. All the other were Scan and Go. I got in the "real" line. There were 7 carts with real people behind them, going to a "real" check out After a few minutes I walked over to the line and saw it was a register without a belt! Dammit! Its hard enough to set your items on the shelf, pay, and bag (because we brought bags from home in.) I was pissed and asked hubby if he wanted to do a Scan and Go. Now, this pisses me off because for every Scan and Go, there is someone who needs a job that has disappeared, POOF! GONE! So I was buying a bottle of alcohol. My intention was to pay for the bottle separate from the food. I stuck my credit card in the machine and it said that a CSM would help me shortly. She comes over and says I have to go to a register with a REAL person at it! I said NO! I was in that line, got out, and that line is now down the center aisle. She said we couldn't pay for the alcohol at the Scan and Go. Now why the fuck can't this blood and flesh person not check me out??? Nope, gotta be a real person, so she said follow me. I get out of line and she's talking to me, and I kept saying I CAN'T HEAR YOU. I'M DEAF AND YOUR FACING AWAY FROM ME! Longer story short, I got my booze. I didn't want to leave it, because at Sam's it's always out. I went back to hubby who is holding up the line because he asked a CSM scan for him. There were like 20 Scan and Go open. Call me a bitch, I don't care. Like I said before, and I'll say it again..... FOR EVERY AUTOMATED REGISTER THERE IS SOMEONE OUT THERE WHO NEEDS A JOB! WAL MART profits from this. The Wal Mart family benefits by reducing the number of associates they don't issue a paycheck to. This is so tRumpian of them. MoneyMoneyMONEY! Lets stop this bullshit. When I worked at Wal Mart (for 6 years) we were ALL cross trained to use a register and we would be called off the floor to knock down those lines of shopping carts with REAL people behind them. My other complaint is the amount of STUFF in the aisles, ie: merchandise, people putting stock up, people dragging the curb pick up trains, associates on their cell phones, or carts full of go-backs. Come on people. Be aware that you have customers zigzagging around you or dodging you whilst in an electric cart. To Wal Mart management, get with the program. Terrible management. Delivery service is poor. The other day I received somebody else's groceries. The manager never addressed my issue when I asked to speak to him on the phone. I was told by an associate that I had to re-order my whole order in order to receive it. Another time, the driver delivered my groceries to a neighbor. In addition, the selection of food is limited. When asked if the store could carry the item I wanted, they said no problem. That was over a month ago and the product never arrived. I don't know if this supercenter represents other centers; If it does, they're all sub par and need to be revamped. read more

This store is frustrating for me. On three separate occasions, I could not try on clothing because they did not have staff. Once was at 830 am and two other times were at apx. 9 pm. I do not usually purchase clothing unless I try on first. I wear scrubs for work and have attempted to purchase at Walmart but only one time out of a dozen times did they have my size in matching scrubs. Usually the have Extra small and XXLarge and not much in between. If they had staff that may notice how many sales slip through because of the lack of inventory in common sizes. Also unit price on half and half was marked .2 cents per ounce. It seems to me that they could have a cross check with the unit price multiplied the units to equal total price.
