If there was an award for "The Ghoul-est Pharmacy Clerk" in town, this guy would win by a landslide. I pulled up to the drive-through at CVS Pharmacy on Jackson in Indio, California, and instead of receiving my prescription, I got a heaping dose of attitude. I mean, check out the photo--I'm not saying he was auditioning for 'villain of the year' to the popular novella "Ignacio," but he surely acted the part. Mistakes happen--I get that. But this time, the mistake was on CVS, yet I was the one being treated like I committed a crime, when all I requested was my medication. The experience was so outrageous, I half-expected Ashton Kutcher to jump out and tell me I was being Punk'd. And let's talk about that sign CVS has plastered everywhere: "No threats. No abuse. No violence." I'm starting to wonder if that's just for customers, because clearly, the staff didn't get the memo. CVS, you've got to train your employees to practice what you preach! At the very least, can they be mildly pleasant, instead of acting like Halloween goblins. That said, the pharmacist was actually a gem, pleasant and professional. At least he didn't make me feel like I was living in a bad sitcom. So, kudos to him. But CVS, really -- no one should have to deal with a clerk, who's one eye-roll away from starring in his own reality show, "How to Lose A Customer in 10 Seconds." read more

Waiting in line for my prescription is the worse, because they only have one register open and they can most certainly have the other two registers open. It takes more 15 minutes, waiting in line, to pick up my prescription & the 6 people waiting in front of me & the other 10 people waiting behind me would remark the same frustrations!! read more

If I could give this pharmacy 0 stars I would. This is the absolute worst pharmacy in the valley. They have messed up mine & my daughters medication multiple times and have even told me sorry we lost them, they tell me to come back 15 minutes later because they have to fix the issue I give them an hour just for wiggle room I show up and they say oh we forgot to fill the prescription we lost come back tomorrow. Jackson St-Indio. The women pharmacist lied to me on 9/27. Doctor sent prescription at 2:30. After not getting a text that it was ready, I call the pharmacy at 5PM. It was a pain medication needed after a surgery. The pharmacist answered the phone and I inquired about the status and she told me she needed to order it. I asked, why didn't you contact me? I need it today. She asked me to hold, stating should would check for another brand. She said it will be filled and ready in 30 mins. Guess what? She filled it with the exact name medication as prescribed from the prescription and qty. Code for pushing off work is "we need to order it." I expect more from a pharmacist. It was pain medication. PAIN doesn't wait until tomorrow. Terrible. Plus, this store has no inventory. This is normal, not exceptions and not recent. Tried to pick up big bottle of hair gel we occasionally get from CVS. Nothing. Only found a tube. Lost sale opportunity. read more

Terrible pharmacy, they offer no help to senior citizens, I was there when there was no one in line at the pharmacy and they had just opened and I couldn't get a shingles shot! I was told by the woman pharmacist that she had the vaccine for the shot but couldn't give it to me because I did not have an appointment. So, I stood there and tried to make an appointment to get the shingles shot. The online site kept sending me to Palm Springs, even though I am in Indio. I quit going to CVS years ago because of other problems I had with the pharmacy. This CVS is no different than the others like dealt with. I called Rite Aid about getting a shingles shot and they said I could come right away. I don't recommend the CVS on 42nd and Jackson St., not any other CVS pharmacy!! read more

The two women I dealt with at the pharmacy were insanely rude. When we first arrived for our second booster, they lady checking us in seemed so unhappy with her life and rude. No "hello" or pleasantries. Not to mention, we were the only two in the pharmacy. Then another lady came out and said we cannot get our booster yet and it's only for 50 and older. Pretty sure if you check the CDC site it says 4 months from your last booster, which I qualify. However I am also pregnant which makes me immuno-compromised and my doctor INSISTED I come get boosted. The pharmacist is a real bitch. I stood at the window for 10 minutes before she even acknowledged me. Previously she refused to let me use my 30% coupon to buy sinus meds because they keep it in the pharmacy. It's still an over the counter item and the coupon was valid so I had to get the Manager involved. I had to wait for like 20 minutes to get it all straightened out. No one apologized or cared about the pharmacist's error at all. Not a great CVS like the one I went to in Wildomar for 13 years. read more

I come here occasionally this is A well-stocked clean location, they usually have what I come in for. with that being said the one downside is extremely long checkout times which is partially the fall of the cashiers and or store policy and the customers, cashier's seem to linger and move slowly when they see you only have one or two items they always ask do you need anything else, there's always a very long and dramatic receipt that's hard to read. Many of the patrons do not have adequate funds or a legitimate paying method that exasperates this process as well. the one upside is a Caucasian woman manager that assisted me about 3 weeks ago she was very friendly and helpful! read more

Bad experience. They gave me the incorrect box. I noticed when I got home so I went first thing in the morning when they reopened. The girl told me we dont have them in stock and we cant order them so call them directly and order it yourself from them. Also since I opened the box I cant return it or receive a refund. I said it's my first time getting this I opened it to use it and noticed something didnt look right and realized it was the wrong one. This was your mistake not mine you gave me the wrong box I should get my money back. Count it it's all there I didnt use it. She said sorry I cant. I said can I speak to someone else. She said yes shes running late you can wait for her. I waited 15 mins another girl showed up, heard the story from the employee and she asked me no questions, she gave me a refund and reordered it because it was available for order! I showed up to pick up my order and it was incorrect the second person i spoke with ordered the wrong thing! The gentleman said I'm sorry I can call the CVS off of hwy 111 in Indio and see if they have it. He called and they did so he transferred my prescription over there and I headed my way over to pick it up. I get to the CVS and he is once again handing over the first box they gave me that was incorrect. I said that's the wrong one. He said this is what they called in and sent over. He showed me and they sent over and asked for the incorrect box once again! I was beyond frustrated because I drove over there for nothing and he had to order it again! read more

Horrible location. I used to use CVS in Huntington Beach and they were wonderful. This place has absolutely no customer service, and incredibly rude pharmacy techs. I ordered a refill on my prescription for 90 days. They called me back and said they didn't have 90 days worth of medication it would have to be ordered and would take a week or more. Since the thyroid medication is something I have to take daily, I asked if I could have a weeks worth to cover until my 90 day prescription was able to be filled. She said no she couldn't do that. I tried to explain it a different way and said, but this is medication that I had to build up to and I have to take it every day first thing in the morning. How can I do that if I don't have it for a week? She said she couldn't help. When I persisted with what CVS had done in the past to cover a lapse in availability, she hung up on me. read more

I like the customer service received while I am in the store. The one star is for the evening pharmacy staff who are completely unhelpful when it comes to customers and their needs. I waited for my 2nd COVID vaccine and the two staff in the pharmacy acted like nobody was even there. Earlier in the day I tried to contact the pharmacy to reschedule an appointment and nobody was answering the phone. Well no wonder the 20 minutes I was here the phone rang multiple times and never seen either of the two staff pickup the phone. Completely different than the morning pharmacy staff so I will be making sure I schedule or come in early in the morning!! Never again in the evening. read more

She was very knowledgeable, cautious, and answer all my questions regarding my mother's medication. She also put in request to my mother's doctor for an expired prescription. Once again I was overcharged for an item that was marked for clearance of $1.99. The item was rung up for $6.99. This overcharging happens frequently at many CVS stores and has never ever under charged me. A store policy in the past was to give the price posted and an additional $2.00. The clerk was rude and said they would not give me the posted price or the $2.00. Please be vigilant at all CVS stores because overcharging happens frequently. read more

This pharmacy is great. The store carries almost every item you could ever need. The prices are okay, Walmart might be a bit cheaper but I prefer going to a store with polite, friendly and helpful employees. The customer service in the Jackson Street CVS is outstanding. The store is always clean. The pharmacy has a drive-through drop-off. Whenever I stop in I am greeted by a friendly employee who offers to help me find whatever I need. I have been a lifelong customer but not anymore. You lost me over $3.99! Here is what happened. I purchased a CVS pharmacy rubber boot for a cane. I took it home 40 miles one way, too small. So I brought it back later in the day. I couldn't find the receipt, but the casher remembered me. Basically, I couldn't get my money back only a store credit. I found the rubber boot I need elsewhere and just wanted the money. I put the boot back into the CVS package, no issues, no damage. They said I could only have a gift card... for $3.99 because I had no receipt. I thought about that and said no. I put the rubber boot in the CVS package on the counter and said you keep it. Restock it and you now made a great profit from me! Then I said, I wouldn't ever shop CVS again, then walked out. So, you lost me over $3.99! Terrible customer service in the pharmacy. Hours listed online for 'CVS Pharmacy' are only for the convenient store, which I didnt realize. I am 8 months pregnant, parked the car, walked all the way to the back, and only then realized I was 20 min past closing time. The consultation window was still open so walked up to it and said hello. Instead of acknowledging me at all or apologizing that they were already closed one employee said; "Carla, we forgot to close the consultation window!" Carla relplied; "You're right!" She proceeded to walk over, press the button, and close the window right in my face. SO RUDE! I've tried calling them twice today because I'm supposed to be on bed rest and need to find out if my husband can pick up my prescription. I was left on hold TWICE for 20min each time. Still haven't gotten through to anyone. Will not ever use this pharmacy again. I will say anytime I shop at the convenient store they are super nice and helpful...must not be the same training for the pharmacy. read more
