I am delighted to pay the fee of $25.00 to book a doctors phone call, but I am not going to wait another 6 weeks for the call! The world goes to the doctor when they get sick. They don't wait 6 weeks before speaking or seeing one! A consult takes 10 - 15 minutes. Is this business not able to hire a second staff member? Very dissapointing. read more

They're not the easiest to find being tucked behind Kaiser Permanente at Cook and Gerald Ford, but they are well worth the challenge. For years, I went to another compounding pharmacy in Palm Desert for an injectable medication. This went on until they raised their prices. Then I went to a different compounding pharmacy in Riverside, until THEY got too expensive (jacked the price and cut the strength in half. Both pharmacies charge extra for syringes, usually around $5/pack of ten. Ambrosia Compounding Pharmacy is not only $10 less, but they give me two packs of syringes at no extra cost! The medication needs to be kept cool, and the Palm Desert pharmacy would include one cold pack, but it will cost you $2.50 for each additional. Easy comparison: FP in Palm Desert = $160, plus $5 (or $10), plus $2.50 per cold pack. MS in Riverside = $165, plus $5 or $10, no cold pack given. Ambrosia Pharmacy = $150, includes ten syringes AND two cold packs! Simple math. read more

This has the most efficient group of employees, who offer excellent service, help with questions regarding my prescription and they also have excellent customer service skills. I send an order for their preparation and it's always done in a timely manner. Always right on. Plus then they ship it to me refrigerated and every time I get the medication in an exceptionally quick manner. I have worked with a few people there. One being Debbie. There's no feeling quite like being a freaked out parent whenever you get on a plane and realize that you forgot your kid's refrigerated medicine in the airport where you just took off from. We had been in over our heads trying to get a medication for our son as he has a mechanical heart valve and Ambrosia pharmacy was able to swoop in and have a prescription transferred from our Originating state and have it ready within a few hours. I would recommend this place to anyone who has compounding needs or is traveling in need of a pharmacy. Their service is wonderful and they are extremely friendly and did everything they could to alleviate our worries. Kindness and quickness was extremely appreciated in this stressful situation. I've been with Ambrosia Compounding Pharmacy since they took over Town Center Compounding Pharmacy. Service has been good and they offer free delivery. I'm happy that Deeann is there to review my lab results and renew my prescriptions. It's a one stop shop just like Town Center Compounding Pharmacy was. It's not as convenient location wise as Town Center was but the free delivery does make up for the Location. Highly recommended! read more

My original review was for Town Center Compounding Pharmacy in Palm Desert near or on El Paseo. That place closed down. I guess they were purchased by Ambrosia, which is an entirely different location and a different setup which does not include the previous pharmacists. I don't have much to say on Ambrosia but I miss Town Center Compounding Pharmacy dearly. Invigor stopped shipping Tri-Mix to CA, so they never told me they were going to have another local compound agency, this one. I've been using Tri-Mix for penile injections for awhile , on and off for the whole year. This new compound supplier either got a bad shipment of the medications that comprise the Tri-Mix Injections. My first injection was 10 units and after 10 20 minutes, nothing but a soreness and itching and burning. Thinking I injected it in a wrong area, I stopped and went to bed to sleep. Tried again two days later, thinking I need to inject a little more, this time severe redness and half of my flaccid shaft was swollen and looked like puffy ring around the base. I immediately called Ambrosia and they will check other patients and ask if any side effects occurred with the batch they used on both of us. At first the pharmacists thought I was injecting it too deep, etc., I assured him I have done this many times. I suggested he should try the exact Tri-mix he sent to me via 10 unit into his penile shaft, and let me know of it feels. He declined due to his health. I reiterated it's one of the formulas they used, either Pap 30mg; Phen 2mg, or Pros 20 mcg and asked why it was shipped to me from Ambrosia in pre-mixed liquid form and not in powder form that the patient usually mixes with sterile water in another vial? I e-mailed Invigor and called Ambrosia, they promised to contact Invigor to find out what went wrong. As a courtesy of my painful ordeal in which I have never experienced before with other compound companies; one of these companies owe me an apology and a refund. I am waiting for a response from Invigor and Ambrosia promised he will investigate the lot numbers of the components that were used to make tri-mix and will get back to me. read more

The customer service, since this pharmacy moved, has steadily gone downhill, culminating in THE most unfriendly exchange I have experienced in a long time. It started, this morning, with the girl sitting at the front desk who misquoted the price on the amount I owed. When I questioned it, she became more rude and finally agreed that I was correct on the price of the progesterone. Her rude behavior set a bad tone; she made me feel uncomfortable for even standing there. So abrupt and grating. Very sad today and very disappointing!!! read more

Beware of their BHRT creams, especially their Estradiol. It smells like urine (in the bottle before it even makes skin contact) and they are aware of this issue. They mentioned it could be because they use a glycerin base, so they made another batch with a different base, but the product still smelled of urine. I asked them why they keep releasing product that smells of urine, but they were not concerned about the odd odor and had no intention on reimbursing. They offered to try another base but couldn't guarantee that it would NOT smell of urine. I had already paid for three bottles and didn't want to monetarily contribute to their science experiments anymore. Get your BHRT product from a more educated and trusted Compound Pharmacy like (Central Compounding Pharmacy in Santa Monica, CA - they ship). No matter which base is used with your BHRT creams, they should NOT have any odor!!!! *Glycerin (on/in the body) is not a very safe base to use with BHRT products* Do your homework and find a great Compounding Pharmacy, they are out there! read more

We started with them in 2015 and recently had to restart the medication for the kitty. They have always been more than helpful. Caring knowledgeable staff, and Wednesday at 1pm, there is usually an informative talk by one of the pharmacists or a visiting practitioner. Attendance highly recommended. They offer a panoply of compounded medications, tests, supplements, books, therapies (thermography, live blood analysis, bone density, Kangan Water etc). Do double check with your regular doctor about prescriptions, etc. So thrilled I found this place, as I am dealing with health issues about which the traditional "medical industry" is pretty clueless. I've been using Town Center Pharmacy (usually) for almost three years for the bioidentical hormones prescribed to me by my physician, Dr. John Carr in Rancho Mirage (Dr. Carr's number is 760-779-5511). I take progesterone, testosterone, and estiol cream, and Town Center compounds these drugs according to my doctor's prescription. For the most part, the pharmacy has been ok to deal with, however, I have had a few problems. The first time I went to pick up prescriptions called in from my doctor's office, they misfiled my meds and I had to make two additional trips back to pick them up. Another time they (expressly against my wishes) kept my credit card number on file, and it resulted in my receiving a refill of hormones nearly 6 weeks before I needed them. When I called and politely informed them of their error, the clerk got very snappy and said "Well, what do you want to do, return them?" I did not appreciate her attitude, especially considering it was their error. Recently, I got a call from them telling me I had neglected to pick up a prescription, and again, they had made an error, they had sent me my prescriptions nearly three weeks earlier and apparently duplicated the order. The pharmacy does do mail order, and they will bill your insurance, something many compounding pharmacies do not do. They have been compounding hormones for over 15 years, so I am confident of their competence in that respect, with the explosion of interest in BHRT over the last few years some pharmacies are all of a sudden claiming to be compounding experts, when in fact, they have only recently started compounding medications. Bioidentical hormones can have a tremendous positive impact on a person's health, but it is important that the hormones be correctly compounded for maximum benefit. UPDATE 9/10/10----These people can't get an order right to save themselves, this is the fifth time that I have placed for my bioidentical hormones that they screwed up the order and do not seem to care. I've dealt twice with Fireside Pharmacy in Palm Desert, and while in the first transactions they did a much better job than Town Center, they have also proven themselves to be hugely lacking in customer service. I will not recommend either Towne Center Pharmacy nor Fireside Pharmacy in Palm Desert to anyone. read more

I think they are very lacking in their customer service. I have called and called them to get back to me regarding results from a blood test and I have had no help. I called in the middle of the day/week last week (for the 4th or 5th time regarding the same issue) and got their answering machine. No return phone call. Instead I had the blood test result copy mailed to me without any apology or explanation or anything! As it turns out this test result had been faxed to them over a month ago!!!!!!!! I think they are terrible!!!!! I hope someone reads this and thinks twice about spend their money there! They will try to sell you EVERYTHING! THANKS FOR THE HELP!!!!! NOT!!!!!!!!!!! read more
