We stopped by CVS while waiting for a table at a restaurant across the street, and it turned out to be a good little detour. My wife picked up a few basics while I wandered the aisles. They had plenty of candy on sale, and the store itself was well-stocked and clean. It didn't seem like there were many employees on the floor, but when we were getting ready to leave, a very kind lady came up to help us, which was appreciated. Prices were fair, with some good sales going on. Overall, a solid CVS convenient, stocked up, and good for a quick stop. would give them a 3.8 because of the Candy isle. read more

I used to love this CVS. Everyone was nice and super responsive, refills were done automatically, and questions and messages sent in were answered quickly. For the last four months it's been getting worse and worse. I'm treated rudely, I'm not given the best price unless I ask them to double check and even then it's an argument. Recently I sent in two messages and left a voicemail about the an issue. When I didn't hear back I went in to speak to the pharmacist and got the run around. It took me prodding over and over to find out what was going on. I'm done. Back to Costco where I know I'll get great prices and respectful service! read more

The good is that the store is in a prime location, they have some good deals on food items and seasonal candy. The staff are usually friendly and helpful although they are always busy. I have never seen a staff member standing around if they are not on the register they are stocking. The bad is that no matter what time of day you shop the store always appears to be understaffed, the displays and shelves are either under/overstocked and the store looks untidy and has a "scruffy" feel a bit like a dollar-store experience. read more

For the past two weeks, I've been staring into a medicine bottle watching the supply of pills steadily dwindle. In one of those cases of being the victim of modernity, between the pharmacy and my cardiologist's office they couldn't get the refill order done. Now I had run out. Finally I dodged all the guard gates at my doc's office and texted him directly. Problem solved. Order entered. But my next text was from CVS that they had received the order but, alas, it was out of stock and would take 2-3 days to get it in. Alright. At least I knew it was en route. Two hours later, I got a message that the medicine was ready for pickup. Don't know how they did it, but I suspect they borrowed some from another CVS. This is a pretty busy pharmacy and the notion that they went out of their way to get this order filled means a lot to me. This review is only for the incredible service and staff when receiving vaccinations. They were actually happy to see us and there was nothing fake about it. It was also streamlined and organized. Two huge thumbs up if you need to schedule a COVID19 vaccination or you can even walk in. My daughter received both Pfizer's there, while my wife received two Pfizer's and the Moderna booster. read more

I've purchased this item numerous times over the years...and all too frequently I'll get one that is defective... the sprayer won't work, leaving the bottle useless. I've returned them and usually get another that does work. Also, this product is rarely on the shelves...like most things at CVS they're out of stock when you want something. So I thought I'd be smart and order 3 bottles online. And the damn things all have defective spray tops... totally useless!!! I'll be taking these back to this CVS store, the closest to my home, for a full refund. And now I'll be a Rite Aid and Walgreens customer. Pulling my prescriptions from CVS too. read more

Some CVS's are better than others: bigger selection, always stocked, well-staffed... This isn't one of them. Sure, it's the one I always go to because it's nearest where I live, I save a ton with all their coupons, and it's fine for most personal hygiene and OTC medication essentials. I'll even give the pharmacy props for managing vaccine/booster appointments promptly on schedule, unlike other locations. And the self checkout registers usually work. But every time I go, there is at least one thing on my list they're out of (and which they remain out of perpetually). For my face wash I have to go elsewhere or order online, and the travel section is consistently half bare. They also have, it seems, precisely one shopping basket, which you might find in the "pile" by the entrance occasionally, if you're lucky. If you do need a person to ring you up, or if you encounter an error doing self-checkout, be prepared to wait for an employee to walk up front. read more

If all CVS stores were operated like this one, I would never be a customer. I understand the unfortunate need to keep the more costly items under lock and key, but if a store chooses to do so, they had better have staff available to unlock the items. After looking for an employee to unlock such an item and finding the only one available to be the cashier at the front of the store with a line of customers in front of her, I was about to give up. I then spotted an employee walking through the store. When I approached him, he rudely "shooshed" me a walked on past. I left the merchandise I had already selected in a neat pile on a counter and walked out. When I arrived home, I ordered the items from Amazon. They'll be delivered tomorrow. read more

I've been waiting 15 minutes and the line has moved by 2 people, probably because there is only 1 person behind the counter and he keeps stopping to take new prescriptions. Get some more help!!! I used to really like this CVS but unfortunately, I'm going to avoid coming here at all costs because of one of the employees. I usually come here to fill my prescriptions and grab snacks before work. I, a person with chronic pain is on some pretty heavy meds. The pharmacist, Sherril made me feel bad about having to take my meds and would continue reminding me that my doctors need to dose down my meds or I need to be prescribed other things (which I have tried in the past and they did NOT work). She would question me about the doctors prescribing my meds even though I go to the same pain clinic every month. Very disappointed with this locations pharmacist. read more

I had to go on line, place the order at the lower price and then wait for a text message indicating that the order was ready for pick up. I then picked it up at the same store that refused to honor the on-line pricing. Based on this POOR business practice, I'm moving all of my prescriptions to Walgreen's pharmacy. read more

Friendly staff for the most part. Unfortunately, they can't seem to fill my prescription. For the last 6 months they have repeatedly given me half of my meds. I have called in each month to get the second half, each time paying another copay. Quite the scam they have going. I mean, I hope it's not an error with filling prescriptions 6 times. Regional manager reached out and is repaying the doubled copays however will not send the correct prescription in the mail without a credit card on file, company policy. Says they wont use the card, so why do they need the information? I simply don't want to go in the pharmacy AGAIN because of their error with the Corona Virus on the rise. All I requested was for the pharmacy to mail my meds to me. They won't! read more

I could not be more disappointed with a pharmacy/pharmacists than this CVS here in Indian Wells. They're always indignant, they're always understaffed and their pharmacists are basically incompetent. Under no circumstances ever should you think that you should be able to use the photo printers or have the people who work in the store help you with any of this. one photo computer has a sale banner programmed into it so when you login the sale banner pops up but you're never allowed to select any other options for printing pictures. (try explaining this to someone who works the register, and you are more likely to explain the entire theory of ) the other one says that there's a jam... which for several days, I attempted to articulate to the people who work here and they just kind of stare, and shake their heads. if it does not involve stocking the shelves or ringing you up, don't ask, ever. ! read more

The slowest and least conscientious filler of prescriptions of any CVS (or Rite-Aid or Walgreen's for the matter) that I've encountered in the state of California. Every time, I've driven there many times (and it's not next door) to find the pharmacy staff befuddled about why it's not yet ready. Even during slower periods of day, it takes days and weeks to get a prescription filled. And I'm only intermittently notified by text. Really not on top of things. (That said, the pharmacist herself has given me some knowledgeable and caring advice, so I do want to acknowledge the good alongside the bad.) read more

Normally, I would leave no review for an average experience. However, this is about Pharma and the absolutely wretched experience following a surgery. Now to preface, I dropped my prescription off days in advance as my doctor ordered so they will be there when I emerge and head home. I was told by the pharmacists assistant that they were OUT of Percocet (the pain reliever my doctor prescribed for after my surgery) but they had the Keflex - I said I didn't need until after my surgery which was scheduled for Oct. 5th. My partner and I picked up the prescription on the 4th. It was in a stapled bag with receipt. Now, they never asked me about my insurance - so I asked if it was run. No. And she was rude and then asked US to wait while she added the info - and by WAIT she meant while she helped no less than 6 customers who arrived AFTER us. Obviously, our business is not as important to them as the other customers. Or she is just a nitwit who has NO IDEA what Customer SERVICE means. Now then - she punches it all in, and then says, that the filling pharmacist Eric S. Duran - turns out though, he was required to re-count, because the info changed. Even though the FILLING THE JAR pharmacist was Sherril Davidow RPH. Huh. What's the problem you ask? Well, imagine coming home from surgery - loopy, out of it and in pain. My partner opened the pill and gave me one (of what proclaimed #40 ) 5 hours later another. 2 hours after that I was going back to the surgery for complications. Which required me to have another follow on surgery this morning to drain over 250cc of blood from the hematoma and blood leak. Back home, and I asked my partner how many I had taken the day before because my surgeon then recommended I take two the night before, due to her having to blood let me in her office after hours. It was gross. And INCREDIBLY SHOUT OUT LOUD painful. So, cut to the good part, the part you READ ALL the way down too: The count. Now if one starts with 40 - and you've only been 1 day post op, and you are not wealthy but comfortable, and if they had bothered to check the CARES site or the PDMP, would see my entire Pharma history (short and boring). Anyway, I digress. I had taken 4 and was preparing to take 2 more (of what I am able to have up to 12 per day as needed) So my partner wasn't exactly sure if it was 3 or four because I cut them in half as they upset my tummy. So he dumped them on the counter and did the math. Imagine the surprise when the total left in the bottle after day one. 26. Odd. I know I didn't take 14 tablets. So, they failed to fill my prescription for the Opiods for my pain. Here's where it gets even better. I went there directly after my surgery and asked the pharmacist to please do a count because they shorted us 10 tabs. Sherril SCREAMED AT ME, across the counter - "I AM NOT GIVING YOU 10 MORE PILLS OF OXYCODONE MICHELLE full last name.". "IT WAS ACCURATE" I was mortified. Fresh out of surgery and asked her to A) Do NOT speak to me in that tone because bitch you are NOT my mother or even my boss. and B) I want to speak to your manager. (who doesn't exist in the store, of course) I insisted that it could be resolved by simply performing a full count on the drug you were OUT OF last week - so if it is 10 over, you see there was an error. "THERE IS NO ERROR - THE COUNT IS ACCURATE" Umm no it isn't. The manager comes over now (likely hearing her her pharmacist screaming at a customer and further humiliating me, and violating my HIPPA rights all over the place. She can do nothing. This manager. Next. I get the number for the GM of this store Ken Morris - he has yet to return our call. What a surprise. Oh and get this. These two HAVE to be in on it. She filled em 10 short and he recounted 10 short. And then the KICKER was disappearing directly after handing the script to the cashier - to check us out. "Michelle, would you like a consult?" Yes. "Oh, it seems our pharmacist (the one who just recounted your pills) has gone to break. Would you like to wait? No - I have dr. google too. Whatever. DO NOT FILL YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS HERE. Especially if they are to help you after your surgery for the pain of being cut open TWICE in two days. Imagine all the elders people they could be running a full ring of some sort. My best friend is a Doctor and she even commented on how it would be PROTOCOL to do the count. So now, they'll definitely be counting something because we have filed a HIPPA complaint, a Pharmacy Board complaint, Sent notice to the DEA and will be filling out a police report for the theft requesting they ask for the video of this experience, starting with Sherril filling it the first time and then Eric checking it out the second time. I know there is some fuckery about. I don't like to take ANY pills ever except my Vit. D. Ubiquinol and Multi. I'm fit and healthy - not a druggie like she indicated to the entire pharmacy. My PA prescribed Tramadol to me for severe Sciatic pain. I waited a week to open the bottle because I had not needed the extra pain management. There were only eight pills in the bottle but it said that there were 21 of them. The pharmacy said that they couldn't help me and basically accused me of stealing them or something . I explained that I was going to Paris for ten days and that is the only reason I asked for pain medicine from my orthopedist. I now have only eight pills for the entire trip. Thus pharmacy has a photo of 21 pills on a counter next to a bottle and they claim that is proof I got them. Apparently the pharmacy tech stole 13 pills and only gave me eight. I have called the district manager. I have never had anything like this happen before. Don't use this pharmacy and if you make the mistake of going to them , require them to count out your medications while you watch. read more

This pharmacy is so disorganized. I was hung up on after waiting on hold 3 times for over 20 minutes each time. The pharmacists charged me the wrong price for my prescription and gave me the wrong size . Then she Would not give me a refund because had already walked out of the pharmacy by the time I figured it out they had changed me the wrong price. This was their error not mine! read more

I am a 71 year old disabled woman who had a severe neck injury 18 years ago. Since then I have been on a pain medication. I failed physical therapy 3 times and am ineligible for epidural cortisone injections because of other meds I am taking. I am under the care of a pain management physician. The pharmacist at CVS had the audacity to tell me that I can no longer be on the prescription that the pain management physician recommends and refused to fill my prescription. Who in the heck does this pharmacist think she is?? She definitely has never had a consultation with me to know my situation. But she feels she can tell a specialist who spends quality time every 3 months assessing my condition how to prescribe to me? She left me traumatized and without my meds. I am still shaking a day later. Another pharmacist filled the prescription with no problem. I've also heard from a reliable source that CVS is problematic. No wonder I never had to wait to get my prescriptions filled!! CVS had been sued by the Cherokee Nation for flooding their community with narcotic prescriptions. They're trying to tighten up their standards, but they should not be discriminating against disabled seniors!! Horrible pharmacy!!! read more

The pharmacists are rude and unhelpful. The had a promotion that if you buy $30 worth of Gillette products, you get a $10 reward card. Well I bought $37 of Gillette products and they didn't give me the $10 reward card. So I had to schlep back to the store and explain to them what happened. Then the cashier took about 20 minutes verifying that there was in fact that promotion going on, then she took about 5 minutes trying to figure out how to give me the $10. Don't bother. I called the manager, Robin, at CVS in Indian Wells who saved the day by generously offering to bring the medicine to CVS Palm Springs herself. came in to get an RX filled for my pain prior to having a root canal in 4 days time. The assistant (a woman with very short black hair, looked similar to a young boy) greets me with "I will be with you soon"! to stand and stare ahead... Then walk over to me and look at my RX while I also let her know one of my other RX's are ready and I will wait for this as well. She states, "we wont likely be able to fill this, I don't think we have it in stock." After asking if its possible to check other CVS to see if they possibly have it in stock, she then says "no I cannot check stock, it is a controlled substance!" Why? "it is a controlled substance!" The controlled substance act does not stop anyone from calling or checking other pharmacies for stock so a patient can go get assistance faster. It does however prevent transferring an RX for new patients... I am a medical case manager with a local insurance agency who deal with these issues constantly. Now I am forced to believe the agents that are representing a movement to better help our dependent population get better pain management without over prescribing narcotics are just neglecting their duty to provide and advocate. This is abuse from pharm and must stop now. While I sit in pain I have never felt before, this associate dares to treat me like a criminal because I have an RX for a controlled substance........ I will never go back, and you can believe I will push for change across the board with all my contacts to get CVS off the "mandatory list" of used pharmacies...
