Every year for Christmas, I make photo collages for my nieces, and every year I end up coming here to this Walgreens. Today I came in and spent too much time going through my phone and loading and uploading and moving pictures. And in the time I was here, several of the photo employees greeted me and made sure I had everything I needed. They were so friendly, and I felt super relaxed to take my time. I watched one employee talk with a customer in such a gentle way as he was helping her understand what it meant to have a family member upload a picture rather than taking a picture of a picture. It was so kind, and it's just those little acts of kindness that the world needs right now. I could tell the couple really appreciated him. Upon picking up my pictures, unprompted the employee scanned a code that gave me half off. I really appreciated that today. Thankful for this place. read more

My experience with Walgreens pharmacies has been consistently disappointing. The pharmacy staff is rude and unhelpful. A few times my doctor has ordered a vaccine or medication that was out of stock. Every time I have asked if they can order it. And they always say, "we cannot receive a drop shipment." When I ask for more details and if they can order it, they say they could order it. But they say nothing else and provide no other details. The store is great. It's the pharmacy that isn't.. always an issue there. - every month when my prescription is due, they tell me "not enough in stock" so the last 2 months I call 3 to 5 days before it's due and say "can you please make sure it's in stock"? this is the second month in a row. I've called to make sure they've had it in stock and they said oh yeah it's fine and then due to pick it up and they tell me "it's not in stock"so I have to go three days every month without medicine I've been on for 20 years. and I get very sick without the medicine.it's absurd, I get my moms, my sons and my prescriptions at this Walgreens and it's a pain to change and they're the only ones somewhat close to me. but I would give it zero stars. Being of age I do frequent pharmacies on a regular base. If there was a award for the most rude, dumb, inconsiderate, and just plain stupid employees it would have to go to this Walgreens in Rancho Mirage. Pharmacy - It appears that the staff is not properly trained. This place will have you jumping through hoops, and in circles. My prescription couldn't be filled from my other Walgreens location. I was told I had to have my doctor call it in. Ok fine. I call the office, and doctor calls it in the next day. Long story short after going back and forth with a series of error, and misinformation suddenly my order disappears from the website. I call and have the frustration of speaking to a Pharmacist who says she wants to ask me questions. One question was why I would need to fill at this location. I am on vacation! This Pharmacist suddenly tells me I am not filling your prescription. You are from out of area. I can not do that. I must be some type of criminal attempting to get a prescription refilled that my Doctor prescribed. I told her that if this is the case then why on earth would I have to have been dealing with this all week? Obviously...these people are not trained. However...I called my home Walgreen's, and this is a lie. My RX can be filled. I just can't have any open RX anywhere else. Long and the short of it. This pharmacy is pathetic. This is a review of the pharmacy at this location. I called in to give them some new business- to get a prescription transferred to them from another pharmacy. This was at about 4:30 pm on a Thur. Not exactly prime-time. A bot answered my call, saying there were more than 3 callers ahead of me. That went on for about 8 minutes, then it was 2 callers ahead of me then another 2 minutes later the hold music changed (aha! Getting somewhere!). Another 2 minutes passes and I was hearing my call ringing thru on their end. Yay! They're going to take my call. But it rang and rang and rang and after ANOTHER 2 minutes of ringing I was hung up on! 14 minutes of waiting on hold only to be hung up on! Arggghhh... F U Walgreens pharmacy! There are other pharmacies in town. I suggest everybody use one of them instead of this one. read more

Called earlier today to ask about passport photos and they said they can take them until 10 pm. We brought our two children at 8:30pm and the man working didn't seem like he was in the mood to work today. He claimed that the "passport photo system was down". Says you're #3 in line then #1 and they just keep putting you on hold. If you can't keep your staff then pay them a living wage, it's that simple. The store manager is worthless. This pharmacy is closed on weekends!!! Who closes a pharmacy on weekends. I had an emergency prescription called in on a Saturday and when I went to pick it up it was closed. I almost had a planned surgery canceled because of this. Was left in pain all weekend. I will never trust this pharmacy again. read more

Brenda at Walgreens is amazing! She always goes above and beyond for people! I just picked up my RX and she reminded me of upcoming Rex's and said she could get them ready now, I said tomorrow is fine. I know it has been hard there due to having pharmacist staffing, but she kept her cool with customers even when they were rude and unreasonable. She took the time to call my drs office and my insurance in order to get my prescriptions. Always smiling even in a seemingly chaotic work environment. read more

I am from out of town and went to this Walgreens to transfer a prescription from another pharmacy chain. It was for a refillable topical solution prescribed by my dermatologist that I left at home. They took home Pharmacy and insurance information and explained that it could take 24 to 48 hours. They contacted my home Pharmacy and the prescription was transferred and filled within the same day. I made the request around 11:00 AM and the prescription was filled by 5:30 PM. The staff was very pleasant, cooperative, and exceeded my expectations since the prescription was filled in less than 24 hours thank you. read more

I made reservations for an Shingles vaccination using their online app (reservations were required). I did not receive a confirmation email. I arrived 10 minutes early for my appointment, but was turned down because they could not find it. I left the store to get the vaccination elsewhere. Around 30 minutes after the schedule appointment they couldn't find, I receive the confirmation email! Obviously the pharmacy does not know how to coordinate with the app. In addition the pharmacy staff were rude and unempathic. I will not return to this pharmacy. read more

If I could give them no stars, I would. Yesterday, I went to Walgreens to fill a prescription for my husband who just tested positive for COVID19. The pharmacy was closed for a lunch break at 2 pm. It appears that they have one pharmacist. A sign posted there said they would be closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I have a chronic illness that requires over $100,000 a year in pharmaceuticals. I encountered a very unproffessional cashier (january 20, 2019 - 12pm) - I wish I had gotten her name before I left - but I was so taken aback. She was so rude taking my money and usually they ask to put your number so you can earn points - she told me don't bother - I don't need them. Walgreens has been a great find for us who have recently moved to Rancho Mirage. The associates are very helpful, and will even assist you finding a product. The pharmacy is very efficient, and no time wasted when getting my flu shot. I would recommend this Walgreens, and will use them as my full time drug store. read more

They lost one thing, but float in when they feel like and don't apologize when there is a very long line of people waiting for them and their posted hours show they were supposed to have been there 20 min earlier. I am a Walgreens fan but this location is horrible. Hard to get to, you can't make a u turn at Bob Hope if you're coming from the east on Dinah Shore...so the left turn results in having to drive a half mile south ,then make a u turn and come back up. Not really the store's fault, but set up my visit perfectly. I wanted to buy a nutritional supplement. I had looked it up online, cost was $29. I get to the store and it's $31. I spoke to a clerk who said they couldn't "price match." I asked to speak to a manager and got passed to this buffoon who refused to honor the online posted price. If it is a corporate policy, it's a stupid one because it feels like bait and switch. (Price matching is when I go to Walgreens and ask them to sell me a product at Target's price because Target is selling the same item for less. Posting it on YOUR website at one price but charging more in the store is just sleazy.) But back to the buffoon. He was rude and raised his voice at me because I had the temerity to say that quoting company policy was one thing, but trying to convince me that it was standard practice to charge less online was a bit ridiculous. The Pharmacy is horrible at this site. They have no regard for people's time. Very poor customer service, on weekends there is a sign posted that says Lunch 1:30-2:00 PM(time is approximate) when they know they will be back later than the 2:00 PM time, common decency and courtesy would be to put the time on sign that they will be back, instead of waiting, and waiting for people to show up and not knowing how long it will be. 1/23/2021 Saturday, waited from 2:00 PM, finally around 2:15 PM the Pharmacy saunters down the hall slowly with the no apologies after I mentioned that everyone had been waiting since 2:00 with no idea when they would show up. I said how rude it is to leave people hanging like this, poor customer service. I got back in return, "sign said the time was approximate" rudely, and a mask is required for you to be here. I was wearing a mask, but it had slid slightly off part of my nostril. I mentioned that he could have left a sign saying when they would be back. They obviously don't care about anyone else but themselves. Don't go here, -10 in customer service. I bet Walgreen's HDQ Co wouldn't approve of this kind of service. read more

Stepped in there was a slight smell and walked the aisles to find something that gets my attention. So found a LED lantern which uses 4-D cells the price was $9 So got two of them. Tried them and they work fine. Well will have to start visiting Walgreens for cost effective LED lanterns. Parking was just next to the entrance. read more

My experience with this store is the consistent with other i counters at this chain pharmacy. Understaffed, long waiting for RXs that were promised an hour previous and pompous attitude with counter help. While waiting in line, other customers voiced the same frustration.
