(Another story) The clerk was nice and found that my prescription was filled at the other CVS, but could transfer it. Yay, nice. She asked the pharmacist, who came over and within seconds was telling me, "won't fill it, go to the other." I think her words were right, she wouldn't transfer it from the other CVS. But she could..... I was prompt dismissed, as she repeated for me to go to the other CVS, and walked away. Kudos to the clerk, but I'll not go back and I'm transferring my prescriptions to a competitor that's just down the street. (And has better GoodRX prices too!)

I travel for work as a fashion designer and stay in town for pop-ups. "Passing by" a pharmacy is not wrongdoing, yet I was treated like it was. Pharmacists should support patients, not abuse power or make people feel guilty for needing care. This location failed at professionalism, privacy, and basic respect.

The staff was courteous and helpful when I could not locate my items. The cost was 25% less than CVS had them listed for on their website. Here's a toast to wise shopping.

I got excellent service there. . The pharmacy became exclusively for prescriptions filled for in house patients or something like that. So I switched to the 18th street pharmacy at Castro Street. It's been one issue after another . Never the same employees so I have no allies in the sense that someone is looking out for me. Never mind all the company policies that continue to add to the difficulty of getting my meds filled much less the untimely manner as well. I'm frustrated. I hate to give any more business to Amazon. It really made my day and my experience that much better. The super clerk on the floor was stocking away and helped me at the drop of a hat when I asked her a question. And the service at checkout came with nothing but smiles and promptness. It's a very bright and welcome location. I can't truly speak to the pharmacy personally, but my friend Art who I came in with used to get prescriptions here filled. He has come in for boosters and shots and it's been a smooth process though a wait for sure - even with an appointment. Due to a lack of staff in the pharmacy department it seems they get overwhelmed very often and unfortunately miss the mark, but they do try to keep up! As the brother of a pharmacy assistant + someone who gets prescriptions filled monthly I know it takes a lot even with a bigger staff to back you, but this Walgreen's does it ragtag style filling those orders. There wasn't much of a line when I walked by, but it did start to slowly build... Hopefully they can improve with time in pharmacy. Easy parking like you'd expect at any location as far as getting in and out of Walgreens itself, and being on the corner of 111 aka Palm Canyon Drive and Farrell Drive definitely helps (not a crazy traffic area most of the time).

I don't know how they pick and choose location to add one compared to the normal. I've only been to the one in Orlando and now this location in the desert. Of course you have to have a massive parking lot to accommodate the loads of shoppers and wanderer's. Three entrances on either end of the store and garden center. There's a fast food place inside, you have the deli section and bakery. Of course the frozen section with quite some nice decent items. It's basically a grocery store on one side of the place. Even a decent isle for the international goods. There's a fairly decent section/department where the alcohol is located. So you have one side that's groceries and the other is basically everything else. Home goods, technology, clothing and so on. There's even a pretty decent size garden center that is pretty massive but it was a little sparse with what they offered. Some patio furniture, mainly soil and the usual pots and some plants. They also have a department for delivery and pickup. It's quite interesting for me...lol... Of course you have the option of self checkout or with someone. Bags are additional fee as we all know. What I didn't understand is, some of the items you would need to pay before hand if you want them. There's the beauty department where you have to leave your basket outside and pay for what you need before returning to it. And some other items in the store where you have to do the same or they can leave it at the customer service counter until you're finished. I had to do that with a measuring tape. We were still shopping and asked if it was ok. The staff seemed a bit annoyed with the request but took it to customer service anyways. Besides that concept, it a pretty good place for your one stop shop.

Fortunately, I was helped by ANEL at the Front End Customer Service desk, and I can honestly say it was some of the most exceptional customer service I've ever experienced. It took about 20 minutes to resolve the issue, and throughout the entire time her patience and professionalism never wavered. In fact, she thanked me for my patience -- when truly it was her patience that carried us through the situation without a single harsh word or hint of attitude. I've also watched other customers come in and get really upset, even though it is not the pharmacist's fault. They are merely the messengers of insurance, etc. But all the pharmacists and supporting staff have responded really levelheaded and compassionately to a variety of emotions brought in. I feel like they work hard to make sure people have knowledge and work efficiently. I'm really appreciative for this pharmacy.
