Okay so, I WAS gonna give a bad review (the phone customer service for the pharmacy can get REALLY annoying - they have like an outsourcing center and it's just an annoying hassle).. BUT today, I went through the drive-thru to pick up a prescription (they closed early yesterday due to the protests going on as a safety and county curfew). There were two cars in front of me but it didn't take too long. The pharmacy lady was super nice and did the usual questions and was able to get my prescription for me.. BUT today was different. With alllll the craziness of 2020, they did something different which was SO cute and just such a nice gesture. I get my prescription in the little drop down box thingy and attached is this orange envelope which was weird to me because usually I just have my receipt attached. I pull forward so the car behind can get to the window and inside the envelope was a card, "happy thoughts & good vibes". We need more energy like that! read more

if i could give a 0 i would. i've never had a worse pharmacy in my life. every, single, time, i have a prescription sent here, there's an issue. if the script got sent days ago, it hasn't been filled or even ordered. i've had to call every month to tell them to order the prescription days after they receive the order. the lady tells me to call a day early to "remind them" to order it. that's not my job. not to mention trying to even get through on the phone. they just put you on hold for 30+ minutes because they're too busy not working. read more

I always have a choice when shopping for certain personal care products. and usually it's either CVS or Walgreens. It's been my experience that, most often, Walgreens is a bit less expensive for the items I want, and they usually have them in stock. Such was the case at the Date Palm Drive location. The staff was courteous and helpful when I could not locate my items. The cost was 25% less than CVS had them listed for on their website. Here's a toast to wise shopping. read more

Customer service is awful. They leave you sitting in the drive thru in blazing hot heat with no one othering to come to the window. When you're sick and need your prescriptions, the last thing you want is to walk to the back of the store and infect the whole store. Their app is never updated with the current status of your prescription. the pharmacist is always 'reviewing your order' and then you call to find out it's been sitting there waiting for pickup. read more

Every single employee from pharmacy to shift leads to cashier were all rude . Made us feel like an inconvenience. Asking to use the restroom was like pulling teeth, and we didn't ask until after we purchased items and picked up medication. All your employees need other jobs if they don't want to work in retail. This coming from someone who works in retail. I'll take my business to cvs and my prescriptions. No wonder Walgreens stores are closing. read more

This pharmacy is NOT 24 hours! Please do not waste your time going unless it is during business hours - which are not listed on the store. Horrible to go to a pharmacy at 3am to get medicine and it's closed - nothing on their website or online. I hope this helps someone before they go for medicine at night. read more

the store is open 24/7 but that's about the only good thing about this store. the pharmacy is THE worst! they simply don't care about doing a good job. I waited on hold for service for 36 mins and was in first place for 23 mins. and then they hung up on me without ever speaking to me. Going to report them to corporate. Horrible don't go there I've lived out here three years and almost all the time the prescriptions are delayed or in my experience they give your prescription to someone else when you've been calling. We had gone to Staples to get a photograph taken off my phone, enlarged and put on photo paper. After a very long wait she printed out a picture on copy paper on 8X11 paper. I had already paid for it since it was all computerized. She wouldn't make it right so we left and went to the Walgreens on Date Palm in Cathedral City. The manager helped us and was very nice. He gave us exactly what we wanted at half the price of Staples. He was professional and kind. We will now do our photo with there. read more

Clueless, Disorganized, The Absolute Worst. I've been in bed with COVID symptoms and made an appointment online for a rapid test. The test was to be done at the drive up window at this Walgreens at 3:15PM today. When I got there the window was closed. The pharmacy was closed. I called the store and a bored clerk told me they would be open tomorrow. I asked what about my appointment? Would it be rescheduled? Why wasn't I notified? The only answer was "call them tomorrow and tell them you had an appointment for today". Like hell I will. read more

Walgreens - 2:20 in the afternoon - Drugstores Near Me - Cathedral City, California

The cashier and pharmacist at this Walgreens location both denied my son a Covid vaccine because my they stated my insurance was not accepted for a shot that's supposed to be free. He had an appointment, was eligible, and they had the pediatric shots available for his age, but since they do not accept my insurance, they refused to vaccinate him, going against both Walgreens and County/State Health policies. If I would have lied and said we didn't have insurance he would have been given a vaccine without a problem, but they were unwilling to help us. After all the wait and worry, my son has to remain at risk and wait an additional week to get vaccinated and I have to go through the work to get him over his shot fears and anxieties all over again. So disappointing that in the midst of a pandemic, they turned us away and put my son's health at risk because of their incompetence. I've filed complaints with both Walgreens corporate and County Health so this won't happen to anyone else, but recommend finding another provider for your vaccines. read more

My Dr called in 2 RX, I don't have Covid as I had a negative test result but I'm very very sick. I went through the drive through and he said to come back in 90 minutes. I've never in my life heard of such a thing. BTW, the RX is for a Z pack-nothing trickery!!! read more

My wife went in specifically to buy some Maxwell House instant coffee on sale @ $3.99. Nothing else. There were only two left, which she purchased , and asked the girl at checkout for a rain check to pickup some more at a later time. Checker refused. Went through the pharmacy drive thru expecting it to be quicker than getting down and waiting a whole hour. Staff would help other people that had just gotten there inside rather than the people who had been waiting in the drive thru for longer. Would not recommend going through the drive thru. You'd be better off getting down or even going to another pharmacy. read more

I spent almost an hour each day for 5 days waiting for my prescription to be ready only to be told daily that it should be ready the next day. Then to find out, they never even started the process! I feel HORRIBLE for the staff even though they were not organized whatsoever. They were very short staffed and overworked!!!!! All the customers were complaining and the staff had to endure painful comments. This pharmacy has ceased to function in any normal way, I'm sure due to the pandemic. Hours are not as posted, phone calls are not answered, and most importantly, prescriptions are not filled. We went here SIX TIMES to pick up our medications and spent hours trying to figure out how to procure them, but at the end of the day we asked our doctor to switch to RiteAid, where we were able to get them within an hour. read more

Pharmacy does not check the expiration date of their medications before they dispense it to you; So, just BE CAREFUL! They gave me expired INSULIN (expires 4/2019). Current date is September 2019. Spoke to pharmacist JIM tonight and he checked and informed me that YES their whole entire batch of Humulin is expired and stated that he does not know why that is, and he will have to reorder. So, just wanted to note that you should always check the expiration dates on your medications before taking and do NOT trust the pharmacy, especially, OBVIOUSLY, this location. read more

The pharmacy is a total madhouse out of control. No matter when you show up, you're going to spend a long time in a long line. Needed some info so tried to call. 1/2 hour on hold only to have them hang up on my turn. Happened to my nurse also. Had to go there 3 times on 3 different days so far to get 4 prescriptions refilled. 2 were available on 2nd trip, one is delayed as out of stock with no known date it will be available (my chemo), and one is delayed because, but may be available on Monday, when I'll have to return again for more of this BS. Winner of Worst Customer Service Award. Today, May 20, 2021, about 9:45am, I shopped here. Last time. Several times I passed two employees who were on the floor chatting to each other about personal matters. One even appeared to be a manager. Neither stopped chatting to see if I needed help finding items. Then the cashier who not only has no customer service persona but has no persona period. She just stood there waiting for me to bag my items. She never offered help or explained that I needed to bag them myself. Walgreens management has no concept of customer service or business acumen. I don't like leaving negative reviews, I've worked in service - it's hard. And I've never been to a place with worse service. I like Walgreen's - they've been my drugstore of choice. This location has told me prescriptions are ready when they're not 4 times. They've told me they'd call me when prescriptions are ready with no contact. Given me long lead times for refills, and I double the length of time to return 'just in case', only to have them not even started on the order. Get your act together. read more

Drive through for the pharmacy is so incredibly slow. Even with only one or two cars in front of you, you can expect to wait about 45min. If you go inside it's not that much faster either. The staff is nice enough but seems like they need more people. read more
