I have been trying to get a prescription filled at the Lyon and Florida location and unfortunately my experience has been very frustrating. The first time I visited, the associate entered my information and told me there was no refill available. After I explained further, she looked deeper and discovered the prescription had been rejected due to my insurance. I returned later with my updated insurance information, but experienced a similar issue again. When I presented my new insurance, I was told it was not accepted. My concern is not only the insurance issue, but that I was not given helpful guidance or options -- such as transferring the prescription to another pharmacy. I have now spent over a week trying to obtain an important medication, and clearer communication and assistance would have made a big difference. read more

At 4:55 pm I Arrived 5 minutes ahead of my 5 pm vaccination appointment. Checked in immediately. at 5:22 I went to the counter to leave. I was told my vaccination was ready and will be next. At 5:30 pm, one-half hour after my scheduled appointment, I walked out. They called me by phone at 5:45 to inquire if I wanted to cancel. I did cancel. read more

I live near the Walgreens on N Sunrise Way and Vista Chino. As a new resident, I wanted a pharmacy that was nationally known in case I was travelling and needed prescription refills. After returning home from a trip and my luggage was lost, I had to find a replacement CPAP mask. This particular Walgreens was out of stock and I had to drive to the one on E Palm Canyon to purchase this item. Since I was not sure of the size needed, I purchase a L and M size just so I was able to sleep that night. I specifically asked the clerk if I was able to return this to any Walgreens and they emphatically said yes. I went to return the item one week later, unopened and with a receipt and the Walgreens on N Sunrise Way and Visa Chino would not accept it. They told me I needed to go to the original store. I have had issues with this store in the past, wrong or lost prescriptions, pharmacy employees not friendly and down right rude as well as long lines and a very dirty store. This town is full of friendly, customer-service oriented employees and I will take my business elsewhere. read more

Yesterday I had a 10:00 AM appointment at Walgreens scheduled weeks in advance, arrived and checked in early, and by 11:45 AM still wasn't seen, and was told there were 2 more appointments ahead of me. I had to leave for another doctor's appointment. As a nurse, I know the importance of staying up to date on vaccines, and this was a frustrating waste of a rare free morning. The staff really were doing their best and were apologetic to nearly a dozen patients as they rolled through the line. The real issue is corporate. Walgreens' chronic understaffing compromises patient care and overburdens employees. Scheduled appointments should be honored, staffing should meet demand, and communication about delays must improve. read more

Stopped in to this local Palm Springs Walgreens recently for some miscellaneous things and ran into my friend Jim who works here who I haven't seen in almost ten years!! It really made my day and my experience that much better. The super clerk on the floor was stocking away and helped me at the drop of a hat when I asked her a question. And the service at checkout came with nothing but smiles and promptness. It's a very bright and welcome location. I can't truly speak to the pharmacy personally, but my friend Art who I came in with used to get prescriptions here filled. He has come in for boosters and shots and it's been a smooth process though a wait for sure - even with an appointment. Due to a lack of staff in the pharmacy department it seems they get overwhelmed very often and unfortunately miss the mark, but they do try to keep up! As the brother of a pharmacy assistant + someone who gets prescriptions filled monthly I know it takes a lot even with a bigger staff to back you, but this Walgreen's does it ragtag style filling those orders. There wasn't much of a line when I walked by, but it did start to slowly build... Hopefully they can improve with time in pharmacy. Easy parking like you'd expect at any location as far as getting in and out of Walgreens itself, and being on the corner of 111 aka Palm Canyon Drive and Farrell Drive definitely helps (not a crazy traffic area most of the time). read more

There needs to be an investigation into whether or not this pharmacy has lab techs who STEAL RXs! I had a 90 count of RX pills order from doctor sent to this pharmacy. The pharmacy gave me only NINE pills of my RX pills. When I got home and opened the stapled paper bag the RX was in, I was livid to know almost all of my RX was missing. I was treated rudely and with disbelief when I brought up the issue over the phone to the pharmacy. Not surprised though because I have only been treated with rudeness at this pharmacy. I came in person to have the general manager help me. After I watched her take a corner too sharp and fast around an aisle and knocked down an entire display of candy on her way to "help"/berate me, I told her what was going on with my RX. This rude, seemingly drugged up, disheveled person, was the manager? I was so confused. How? This manager took my 9 pills and went to the back to review the surveillance video to check to see what happened with my RX, leaving me at the front. When she returned, she confirmed that she saw with her own eyes that their lab tech withheld 89 of my pills. She held out a new paper bag stapled shut with the correct amount dispensed while I asked her repeatedly what happened. She could give not valid explanation as to why this mistake occurred and I eventually took the bag from her. BUT I AM THE PROBLEM AND WAS TOLD TO GO ELSEWHERE IN THE FUTURE FOR MY PRESCRIPTIONS! Laughable. This pharmacy needs to be investigated immediately. Charging health insurance companies and individuals for prescriptions that are not actually being dispensed is a crime. So is stealing and taking other people's medications. Disgusting. read more

As a retired retail clerk, I understand that unforeseen issues can arise, leading to customer dissatisfaction. However, my recent experience with Walgreens was profoundly disappointing and frustrating. On December 7, 2024, at 6:24 PM, I placed an order with Walgreens store #09885 at 2465 E Palm Canyon Dr, Palm Springs, CA, timing it with errands in that area. At 6:55 PM, I received an email stating that my order would be delayed--a minor inconvenience, but manageable. To plan accordingly, I called the store at 7:22 PM to inquire if the order would be ready that evening or the following day, aiming to avoid unnecessary travel. The employee assured me she would "get right on it." Relieved, I continued with my errands. After completing our tasks, we arrived at the store at 8:25 PM, anticipating prompt service based on the earlier assurance. We waited, but no notification arrived. Attempting to resolve the issue, we engaged in a chat with Walgreens' customer service, explaining the situation and requesting cancellation if the order wasn't going to be ready as told. Unfortunately, poor cell connectivity caused the chat to drop repeatedly. At 8:59 PM, I called the store again. An employee, named 'Bev' or 'Beth,' answered, giggling as she apologized--a response that felt dismissive given our growing frustration. She went on to state that had it been her I had spoken with she would have gotten it done. In which I replied that it was neither here or there. She promised the order would be ready in 10 minutes. We continued waiting in the designated curbside pickup space, but no one came out. At 9:23 PM, I called once more. The employee curtly stated, "Yeah, it's ready." I informed her we were in space #1, and she said she'd bring it right out. At 9:24 PM, exactly three hours after placing the order, she delivered it. I noticed the order seemed incomplete; she mentioned some items were unavailable. Later, we found two emails sent at 9:11 PM indicating the order was ready and adjustments had been made. Since we were already waiting outside, we hadn't checked our emails. Expressing my frustration over the ordeal, the employee giggled again. I questioned her amusement and expected more empathy. She retorted, "Do you want me to be sympathetic, empathetic, or understanding? Because right now you're the one who's not being understanding. We are short-staffed and only had one person handling this!" Her defensive attitude was infuriating. I responded that I should have been informed if the order wouldn't be ready until the next day, rather than being told they'd "get right on it." I mentioned my intent to file a complaint with corporate and leave reviews on Google and Yelp, as I do for both positive and negative experiences. She walked away, shouting, "Complain all you want!" This encounter was deeply disappointing, especially considering my lifelong patronage of Walgreens, with only one prior negative experience. The lack of professionalism and empathy displayed was unacceptable and has significantly tarnished my perception of Walgreens. read more

They have the makeup, lotions, and vitamins I am looking for in stock. The line to check out usually moves along, and this location has photo services. read more

First and foremost i would like to say that the staff is amazing. They are on it and willing to go the extra mile for their customers. I had the pleasure of working with this one girl alexis she was so helpful I went in there to buy vitamins For my mom and couldn't find them anywhere of course I didn't bring my glasses so I asked for her help and she took 10 or more minutes helping me find what I needed and also brought it to my attention it's buy one get one for a dollar not only did she do a great job she helped me save!! Today we went for our flu and covid shots at the pharmacy on E Palm Canyon. The room we were sent to was disgustingly dirty. There were caps to past syringes laying all over the table, there was trash and debris all over the floor including dirty gloves. In addition the floors and floor boards were filthy and there was a large outside type trash can in the middle of the room. It was not sanitary in anyway. Gross. read more

The Walgreens in Desert Hot Springs has one or two pharmacists, and the rest of the staff are of intelligence high school graduates who walk around looking busy, but they really aren t doing anything. They certainly aren t helping customers. read more

IT LIKE THEY ARE TRYING TO GO OUT OF BUSINESS Unbelievable, the pharmacy consistently never has my prescriptions ready each month. They text that it's ready, but when I get there it's not. They don't follow up on refill requests with the doctor, and staff is full of attitude due to being overworked and short staffed. The pharmacy hours have been cut which are not convenient They close for a meal break each day. Why can't they stagger the lunches so they do t have to shut down ? The store is not any better. Consistently out of stock which is limited to begin with. They no provide shopping carts and the manager is unhelpful. I dread going there each month to get my medications refilled. There's always an issue. On top of that they are overpriced. Just close the store already. It certainly wouldn't be any loss to the city. I miss my Rite Aide. My husband and I went to get our bivalent booster at a Walgreenstoday. The online appointment process was super-easy and I loved the fact that they offered an opportunity to book an Uber to and fro. Okay, that's the end of my loving the experience! We got there a few minutes early. There was no clear signage about where we should go to get the shots, so we waited in line. That took about 15 minutes. They asked us to present our previous records (fine) and told us to get a seat. We sat and sat. After about 40 minutes, I got a text and email from Walgreens telling me that my vax record was available on their app. What????? I went up to ask and the staff (obviously no system in place for what they were supposed to do) told me that I must not have submitted my paperwork. I pointed out that they had it. About 5 minutes later, my husband was called to get his shot. About 5 minutes after that, he told me that the pharmacist was ready to give me my vax. It took her awhile to figure out what the issue was with my paperwork (she seemed appalled at the issues), but after another 5 minutes or so, administered my shot. So, how in the world would I get a text telling me that my vaccination was done and how in the world can I trust that they gave me the right shots? It was a completely shocking experience. I'm normally extremely laid back, but this probably one of the worst service experiences I've ever had. I don't think it's the fault of the staff--it's an issue of Walgreens not having a system in place. CVS has its issues, but are very organized for vaccinations. If you have a choice, go there. read more

This is hands down the worst pharmacy in the valley. The staff is sour and seem to exist only to inconvenience and annoy the clients. They have absolutely no one here with common sense. Run away from this location as fast as is possible - they are horrid. I have 1 prescription that I fill here because I use GoodRx and they have the best price at Walgreens. These highly educated and trained employees kept trying to run the prescription against my old insurance and it was denied. I tried to call them but they are so unorganized they don't answer their phone. I'm still confused as to why they didn't think....hmmmm this is a refill, what happened last month ..... but no. Just put it back on the shelf. So I went in to get it because the email clearly said there is a problem with insurance but you can pick it up. And BAM. Starting over. The lovely lady at the counter said no we just run it against the first insurance provider in your profile (which I haven't had in over 1 year) and if there's a problem it's pulled and put back in stock. Just when you thought the pharmacy couldn't get worse, it did. Staffing problems forced a two hour mid day closure. They still don't answer the phone, aren't particularly helpful, and now the waits are very long. There is no 'I see three' policy. Drive up has been closed for weeks. They change the excuse, but I don't believe any of it. Don't bother calling. They have a phone-feature that makes a ringing sound, mumbles something, then gives you 15 minutes of music before it hangs up. Tried using the online ordering today. Doesn't work. It takes your order but ignores you when you arrive. Had to phone-call the manager after 15 minutes waiting. I think that the positive ratings are ringers. People should be aware that this Walgreens is experience significant staffing shortages in their pharmacy department. The hours listed are no longer valid (there was an incident a few days ago where people were pounding on the doors at 7 pm since the pharmacy is supposedly open until 9 pm.) I can only imagine the stress that some people felt knowing that they were not going to get potentially important RXs because this pharmacy is so understaffed. Today, I was told that my RXs may or may not be filled in the next 48 hours and that the pharmacy was closing at 4:30 pm instead of 9 pm due to lack of staff. if this is the future of service in America then we are screwed. read more

I am a loyal customer at Walgreens in Oregon and California. They have treated me well. So this review of 5 stars is for my past experiences at Walgreens. Yesterday we fortunate enough to get a Pfizer Booster Shot appointment. And this is where I would give the Smoke Tree Walgreens yesterday in Palm Springs less stars. At the pharmacy where we we're waiting for our appointment, a very mean man was at the window. He was visiting with the teller. There was a line, and it was obvious to me he was chitchatting. The next customer behind him spoke up. She said excuse me, but there is a line waiting while you visit. He turned on her a spoke loudly I am talking about medical issues do you have a problem with that!!! He told her to go get in her car and go to the drive up window. He was very intimidating, and he didn't have his mask on correctly. She said put your mask on properly, and then he got really mad. He scared me. The woman left, and did go through the drive up window. Then the man sat next to me. I asked to please put his mask on. He said no I can't breathe, I said none of us can. Then proceeded to tell me how mask don't do anything. I got up and moved away from him. He should have never been allowed to take up so much of the employees time, especially leading towards them and talking nonstop. He should have been asked to put his mask on correctly. There is no customer service here. Not at the drive thru, not inside, and certainly not on the phone. I was on hold twice, and both times I was cut off after 20-30 minutes. Who can operate a business this way? The entire staff in pharmacy is gone; even the manager walked out. Who would work there? This is a deep, systemic issue and won't be fixed by hiring a few people. I have been filling my many prescriptions at the same Walgreens since they opened 7 or 8 years ago...possibly more? Although I have had some problems who hasn't? They used to have a Pharmacist named Ryan and I would get a call from him or other person at the store about my prescription information that showed they really cared about me. Now they are very very busy especially since COVID & other crazy sicknesses. I need to be more patient and let some things just go, no one is perfect especially ME!!!! read more
