A gentleman named Fernando was kind enough to assess the situation and set up an appointment for us the following day. He approached us...we did not have to pursue any employees for service. Thanks much, Fernando. We returned the following day and Frank greeted us. We conversed briefly and he then did a thorough job of resolving the problem and, as a result, relieving our concerns. Thank you so much for getting our day off to such a great start. Tanisha was the cashier who provided our paperwork and released our car to us. Her beautiful smile and great professionalism were the wonderful finale to an early morning task. Thanks again, Tanisha. I am almost 90 years old and pretty much homebound. Several years ago I began having my groceries delivered by Walmart through their Walmart Plus program. All went quite well for the first two years however within the last six months things have changed dramatically. My wife who is in her 80's and working full time does her best to keep up with my needs. However her job limits what she is able to do timewise. Within the last three to four months Walmart continually pestered me to tip their driver who deliver the merchandise we order and need. I live in a small home less than 400 square feet in a trailer park and have limited means. I told Walmart repeatedly I have pretty much the same agreement with Amazon for which I pay to receive free delivery. Amazon does not continually request that I tip their drivers who deliver items frequently. It has gotten to the point where Walmart will not deliver the distilled water that is required for my humidifier which needs to run continually. I have been told that it is out of stock but if I wish to come by and pick it up it is available???? Up until recently Walmart has always been quite dependable. I am paying for a service and receiving only part of that service. To say that I am disappointed in Walmart and their Walmart plus program is an understatement. My advice to all of those that are limited as I am to be very cautious about investing in Walmart plus because sooner or later things will change dramatically and you are going to be left with unfulfilled needs. read more

I have been a loyal Walmart customer for many years. I have had mixed experiences with Walmart, sometimes good and sometimes bad concerning customer service. However, at this location, I was treated rudely by the manager, and by an associate. Customer service at this location is horrible. I know I should not be making generalizations about the entire store based off my experience with two people that work there. Additionally, I have had some issues with this Walmart in the past. I have decided to stop shopping at this location, I might want to stop shopping at all Walmarts because of my experiences with this company. This was my favorite location in La Quinta. I previously had nice employees eager to help me. I practiced my Spanish skills with the non-english speaking women working in the women's dept. This recent visit, I had the same rude type of service that I had at another store. This younger hispanic obese girl was having friendly conversations with a co-worker and acted basically like I wasn't there. She acted like a robot while doing my return with no smile or pleasantness . She sat on a stool and she was very ignorate and had NO MANNERS. She actually asked me which item on my receipt was I returning ( while she was holding on to my item). I am returning . I ordered a bike online from the Walmart in La Quinta and paid an extra $80 to have it assembled because I needed it for a specific event today. Yes, I paid more than I wanted to but timing mattered. A few hours before my scheduled pickup, I received a generic text message saying my order was canceled. No call. No explanation. No attempt to help. Just "good luck out there." If the bike wasn't actually available, that should have been known at the time of purchase, not hours before pickup when there's zero chance to make alternative plans easily. Now I'm scrambling last minute to find another bike because of their poor inventory control and lack of customer care. Completely unacceptable service and incredibly frustrating. This store has a huge selection of items to choose from and for the most part everyone is friendly. But if you ask a question to some of the employees restocking the isles you may get a reply - "no habla english" unless you're hispanic. Seems they don't want to be bothered...? I ordered groceries yesterday through InstaCart. I got a notification that the ordered was delivered but when I checked, the order wasn't there. The picture they sent was not my apartment. This is not the first time this has happened. I contacted them and they sent out a new order plus gave me a $5.00 discount. I'm handicapped and couldn't go searching for the order. When the second order arrived, I asked the delivery person to check the next building and that's where the first order was. She brought it to me and said laughing, "Now you have two of everything ". I said yes, but where am I going to put everything. I can share some with my 92 year old neighbor. Today I received a letter from them stating that my account was under review because this isn't the first time this has happened. This Walmart makes up its own policies. On 05/28 I came in to return an Olay eye cream that I paid $30 for and it gave me a bad reaction. I had my receipt and the card I used as well as my ID. The receipt was dated 05/19 so it had only been 14 days. Upon trying to return Maria told me that cosmetics only have a 7 day return window, which was a blatant lie, another associate backed her up and said I only had 7 days to return my eye cream. I called Walmart corporate and they told me that has never been their policy and my return fell within the time frame and that they should have honored my return. I let corporate know they should reach out to management because this store is not following the return policy. Also while there I literally saw a customer return a used food item, they had no receipt and conveniently told the associate they had paid cash so she couldn't look it up with a card and that customer received store credit. How someone with no receipt got store credit and there I was with my receipt and form of payment ready is beyond me. read more

I typically try to never leave a review if it's bad but this was just overall a bad experience. Went in to the store because online it said the item was available. Went to its location and it wasn't there. I rang for someone to help me in the section. They went to the back and said I see them but I can't reach them so come back tomorrow and it'll be out on the shelf. I agreed even though I didn't want to come back. Came back same thing nothing there. They said they see it's in the back somewhere but don't know where. I asked for a manager she sent her to a storage at the front of the store but then left. The girl that was helping me came back and said sorry I don't see them. Multi million dollar company yet no management training skills? They should have someone in charge of the back room that any employee can go to. I don't know how many times I heard oh I usually don't work this section. I recently bought the mass-produced Homemade Style macaroni salad. The next day, I opened the container and started eating, and after a few bites I noticed a long, thick, black smegma substance running throughout the entire salad. I immediately spit out what was in my mouth, then brushed and gargled, and then took a charcoal tablet in an effort to try and protect myself from being poisoned by whatever was in the foodstuff. I experienced some cramping, but survived the night, and the next day I went to the Walmart Supercenter and asked for a supervisor. My main intent was to protect others from getting sick. I was told the head supervisor was off that day, but that there was a "team lead supervisor," so I approached her with the container of salad. She was so dismissive and rude, you can't believe- First, she tried to blame me for a potentially expired product, but I showed her my receipt, which showed I purchased the salad the day before, so that tactic didn't work. I asked her to look inside the container at the black globstuff, and she refused. She also didn't apologize, and she only offered to exchange the product, or give me a refund. No refund can account for eating what was in this container or my illness, nor my time to drive and return the product, but she was non-apologetic, rude, dismissive and she held other conversations with coworkers about other store issues while talking to me, instead of paying attention to a potentially lethal problem regarding a thick, black factory goo in the Walmart macaroni salad supply. So, since the La Quinta Walmart supervisory staff had no time or concern for me, I am alerting the public responsibly about a potential problem with their mass produced foodstuff, and looking at the reviews, it appears other people have had issues with food contamination from this Walmart, and they have also had problems with the supervisory staff. I have no way of knowing if there will be other, long-term residual damage to my body regarding the disgusting stuff I ingested. I must say, that I also got the distinct feeling that the lady team lead person, was somehow dismissive of me because of my race, my age and the color of my skin. Although the woman was Mexican and a minority herself, my wife and I left thinking that the team lead lady was somehow gratified by being so rude and dismissive to us. She treated us as if we were unimportant, and a nuisance. Note the uploaded photos, but I warn you...you will be disgusted at what was in the macaroni container. Be alerted, that not only does Walmart sell contaminated food, but also - if you bring the food problem to the attention of the staff there, they are likely to rudely brush you off- We will find another place to shop. read more

Every time I come to this particular Walmart I wait over 20 mins for someone to unlock the formula. This happened again today but wouldn't you know it was pushing closer to 30 mins I had to go to customer service to finally have some sort of assistance. Why do you workers ignore paying customers?? Seriously the only person who was helpful today was Caesar who came and unlocked it for me. I literally hate this Walmart. Not to mention it's always dirty. Most definitely the largest Walmart I've ever visited. You'll find everything you could need (and more) at this Supercenter. Not only are they a traditional Walmart, but they also have full groceries, gardening, a McDonalds, tire shop, and a vet on site. My recent visit was during the post-Black Friday frenzy. I decided to treat myself with a Christmas gift (a carpet cleaner that was on sale for the holiday) and purchased it through Walmart's website for curbside pickup. After placing my order I received a confirmation email stating that my item was ready for pick up. I was giddy with excitement to test out my new vacuum! Adulting is fun. Unfortunately when I arrived at the Supercenter my experience took a negative turn. The email instructed me to check in on the app, but, like most people, I didn't have the Walmart app downloaded onto my iPhone.. and of course didn't have any service to do so in the middle of the desert. It took almost an hour to locate a team member, find my item, and load my car. Tldr: skip curbside pickup. I could have purchased this item inside the store 10x by the time it was finally delivered to my car. read more

Filthy, NARROW aisles during the floor refinishing. No warning to arriving customers, just filth, disarray, and no room to move. I'm also experiencing many many violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act compliance at this particular location. Managers and employees are completely unaware of how to assist or at least make allowances for customers with Autism. Again and again, I have to explain myself and my disability to everyone just to be left alone to shop and check out - and all I get in response is blank stares. The store manager even said to me, "Go ahead and sue us." on Sunday morning. These employees aren't bad people, they are just completely ignorant to the facts and require extensive training on how to be more sensitive and accommodating to individuals with disabilities. I'm going to avoid this location for a while, because I do not believe their policies or actions will change under this manager. read more
