I often shop at Winco. The prices are considerably lower than other stores. The bananas are green (a must in the desert). A big bulk section, I Bring my own measuring cup and spoons to "buy the recipe". The store is big and the restrooms are clean. Join the smart shoppers (they are at Winco). Jimmy M. This is our go-to stop whenever we travel between our home in Mesa, AZ and California anywhere from Indio to the coast of Los Angeles, like Ventura. It's a huge store so it benefits you to stop driving and take a walk around to pick up some snacks and drinks. This store even has a pizza shop inside of it, if you make it inside in time. Slices - or a whole pie, breadsticks, fountain drinks, etc. One of our favorite selections are the individual packages that contain a sandwich, cookies, mints, and a bag of chips. Terrific way to get a meal and keep driving. No sit-down meal in a booth or time spent in the drive-thru line. Get in, get your grub, and get back on the road. Quick. Efficient. This location has great bathrooms to use before getting back onto the freeway. The store only accepts debit cards or cash, so they won't get you into debt. No need to finance your next meal. read more

It's great to know that they are open 24/7 for supermarket. Huge parking lot, many empty spaces available. They have great selection of fresh fruits, self-serve items (nuts, grains, candy, etc). It's the size of a Costco but no membership needed. The deli meats available are almost half priced as in other supermarkets. The staff is helpful. It's quiet, and spacious. read more

I stopped into this store looking for some locally grown dates which I found in the bulk section. In the same section I found chocolate covered almonds and other great snacks for our road trip. Can't wait to find a WinCo near my house and go in for more groceries. read more

We don't live in the Coachella Valley but when we go, we try to go to one of two Winco's , this one, or the one on the way in Pomona. The selection of veggies and fruits is unbeatable, as well as the selection of *most* things. The prices, oh the prices, if only we can get these prices in LA. I can't recall anything being more expensive than a Ralph's, Vons or Smart & Final. The only section that could be better as far as selection is alcohol. Don't expect super high-end stuff. But it's a *decent* selection nonetheless. Service - be patient; you're saving money because they save money by not hiring as many people as they should. Also you must bag your groceries. This presents a bit of a challenge for folks like me who are disabled (I can stand but am a fall hazard). Ambiance - um it's a generic grocery store. Don't expect bachata music to dance to while you pick the spiciest peppers. 5 stars for selection and prices 3-4 stars for service (still better than your avg Ralphs!) read more

Nice clean grocery store with fresh food in Indio. Haven't shopped at Winco for a while because not many locations are near us. Glad we stumbled upon this store during our vacation literally 5 mins away from our resort. It was so organized and well maintained. Perfect crowd not too busy so made shopping easy. Friendly cashier checked us out with a smile. The best part of it all, our grocery was well spent on unbelievable prices! Bang for your buck! Wish they had more locations so I can be a frequent customer. Awesome grocery store to shop for your daily needs. read more

Clean, well lit, organized; so many groceries to choose from + great prices. They had a lot of what I needed coming from out of town, gathering items for our weekend at the air BnB in Terra Lago. Short lines, friendly staff, multitude of cashiers & a lot of parking... read more

Great fresh items with an above average selection. The prices are pretty reasonable as well. Walked out with 2 full bags at $47.00 read more

I have never been in a WinCo before and it seems similar to a smart-and-final. It was very large but like smart-and-final it had limited options of brands. The staff weren't the nicest but it was late when we went so they were probably tired. The place seems a little sketchy at night but we were able to get everything we needed. read more

My husband and I went to buy our groceries to cook pozole and we found everything in this store.... All ingredients fresh and the meat are good. I highly recommend this store. All the cashiers are very friendly . read more

I love WinCo. I seek out these stores when I'm traveling and when I have moved, finding the nearest one to me. While there are closer stores I could shop at, I religiously travel the distance to shop at the Indio location. Great prices, clean store, AMAZING wide aisles where we could have drag races with our carts if we wanted. LOVE the deli, sushi & pizza! But...what I love THE MOST? The employees. From the Dope AF guy in the deli that knows our order, the amazing employees who always give their time to help with questions and those amazing cashiers. In today's society where we're getting more & more disconnected from one another I think the biggest thing this company & store gives is that nostalgic, hometown, community vibe and that's not an easy achievement for such a large store - but they do! This store makes grocery shopping a more enjoyable experience! Well done to everyone who works at this location & thank you for being in the Coachella Valley! read more

Wanted to give a shoutout to Mario M in the Hot Deli area. Went there yesterday to pick up a few items and Mario told me I should try their Fried Chicken it just came out of the fryer and potatoes wedges as well. Mann the food was great way better than KFC and the price is unmatched. Don't sleep on Winco fried Chicken and potatoes wedges. Thank you again Mario M for all your help. read more

This is my favorite grocery store, I wish they had delivery because I would definitely order from them all the time. The prices are fantastic when I see employee I have to double check the price because it's unbelievably low on some of the fancy cheeses that I love. The bread that is made fresh daily is fantastic too another favorite and their cinnamon rolls with the cheesecake frosting... Those I highly recommend but be careful they're addicting. I'd rather grass fed beef, organic bison, meat, and the two fillets wrapped in bacon... Unbelievably delicious. After shopping for an hour for my weekly groceries, I get their pizza at the end that's another incredible deal plus delicious.. everyone that works for a super nice and helpful. it's definitely a plus to have an our community because you get quality and a deal on shopping there. They also have a lot of great organic products that I purchased there.!!! read more

WinCo's Sneaky Price Hike & Product Shrinkage - A Clear Scam! This is how they cheat us on the products we buy! Look at the pictures. On 03/12/2025, I bought the same cookies I always get, but this time, they were in different packaging and priced at $5.98. The new pack contains only 24 cookies (20 oz). Now, compare that to what I bought just a few days ago on 03/07/2025--the same cookies, but in the old packaging, priced at $5.67. That pack had 36 cookies (27 oz)! So, in just a few days, they cut 12 cookies and 7 oz of product while raising the price. We're paying more and getting way less! Why not just be honest and say, "We raised prices because of greed and profit"? Instead, they try to deceive customers with smaller packaging and hope we don't notice. This is a scam, plain and simple. They may fool some people, but not all of us! (Just my personal opinion, but the facts speak for themselves!) read more

I go to winco in Indio . They used to have beautiful veggies now that they don't have to date them they are very bad quality, I am so disappointed. I have to check the dates on everything else and have found other items outdated. We shouldn't be taking the loss for this they need to purchase their stock better. read more

I paid with a $100 bill. Cashier was chatty and distracted me as I was bagging my own groceries, & handed me back my cash with receipt. I slipped it in my pocket as she'd started ringing up the next guy without putting up the partition, mixing our groceries. When I got home I called them as I'd been shorted $10. The person I spoke to sounded annoyed, claimed she'd check the register "when they had time," and call me back. No-one ever called back. I'm done shopping there. read more

Only market I shop at. Clean market, good prices.Alway's have what I want.Good selection of food to chose from. Meat and Deli.

I shopped WinCo in Salem, OR for 50 years. After retiring moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ. NO WINCO! Moved to Palm Springs, CA, no WINCO BUT one 33 miles away so now twice a month I go to WinCo in Indio. It's very clean, most workers are extremely helpful and they are cheapest prices even lower than Grocery Outlet! So happy I finally found them! read more

Employee owned !!! so philosophically speaking , I'm already there . I got hooked on Winco visiting family in Oregon. I was so surprised and pleased to see Winco signage on the i10 In So Cal . Then I was amazed to see ,inside the store --the same extra low prices I had encountered in Oregon! Every item from the Deli counter has been above average ! I especially loved the pea salad & eggrolls and wings and tamales ! All were excellent. I think it is cool you don't need a membership OR Large Bulk purchases to enjoy great savings on good quality grocery items read more

This is my number one favorite supermarket!!!!! First of all the prices are so cheap. Second It's huge lots of items to choose from and ,the best part is that you don't need to buy in bulk I wish they would bring this store to the valley ... One thing I don't understand is that they don't except visa only cash or debit card. In order to shop here you need at least two hours because it's so big read more

There was a gentleman at the fruit and vegetable section that is very kind and helpful, though he's very busy restocking he takes the time to explain most questions about his produce he's name is Isrial . He deserves a 5 star rating just for his kind attributes. read more

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER The cashier was very rude and it seemed like he hated his job. I had to greet him instead of him greeting me. He question why I didn't put my other groceries from the bottle cart on the counter like if I was going to steal them or something. The counter was full nothing more fit on there. I was waiting for him to start ringing everything up so I can put the rest of my groceries on. I paid and he didn't say thank you or anything. I honestly had never had that experience ever at WINCO. I spent almost 200 dollars and felt I should of just went to Walmart and got better customer service. The manager needs to be more vigilant about how there employees work and if the customer service is how it should be. read more

I hate fake customer service. I have been a customer since Wino opened up in Indio. There is an employee that has been there for at least 3 years. Over this period of time he's spoken to me at best 10 times. Each time I see him I speak just to see if he would speak back and most of the time he does. It for three years I'm the one speaking. Today I went to the store he was at self checkout as usual. As I was walking to checkout I saw the store manager coming I saw her before he did and when he saw her he jumped up and spoke to be. I knew it was only because his boss was coming. Now he didn't just speak he thanked me for shopping there seeing that Wino is an employee owned company. I wanted to say don't speak now that business is slow and you need business I wanted to tell the manager how said and how fake that is. I hate fake customer service read more

Love, love, love Winco Foods. Every place we go we hope to find one. This place was no exception. Shelves were stocked. The store was clean and the employees were friendly. What more can you ask? Well, you can ask about prices. Prices are usually better at Winco than any other food store. That's what we thought about this one too and especially in California where everything is normally higher than other places. This Winco is definitely a winner. read more

I just love winco! I've been to multiple locations and they are just Always on par with one another. This location like the others was clean, everything I needed was stocked and the staff always seem so helpful and friendly. The checkers actually try sparking up conversations which I enjoy. Haha. But winco is such a great supermarket. Such better prices then other stores and the layout is great, I get excited when I know I'm going to go shopping at winco haha Side note. Their winco branded foods are great as well. Open up more wincos! Preferably in Orange County ca read more

8.12.21 I visit Indio occasionally , always in August and we went shopping there last night ~ walked in the doors at midnight . Plenty of other shoppers there, well lit and clean . The array of foods and other non grocery store things is fantastic . Every person we asked for help was polite, courteous and helpful plus they _KNEW_ where every single item was no matter how obscure . Right off the i-10 freeway Jackson Street exit, go North over the freeway and turn in at the McDonald's & drive straight back, the parking lot between is dark but the store proper is well lit . NOT CHEAP but not over priced either . -Nate read more

First time going to a Winco and I was quite surprised. The store is so big with so many different options of the same product. Lots of employees around to help you locate items if you are not familiar with the store as well. It was not crowded at all at the time I went in and everything we bought was so affordable! The best way to sum up this store is to compare it to a Costco! Very very pleased! read more

Great prices and great selection. You can't pay with a credit card but that's a minimal inconvenience.

This is my favorite place to get my weekly groceries. While I love coming here and have been for years now the employees don't seem to be friendly and hardly ever do they acknowledge me. Felt spoiled as we walked into this vast paradise of grocers here in burning hot Indio. The meat and drinks were cheap, the staff was cheery and easy to deal with, and the pizza was extra fresh. WinCo Foods - Winco Guarantee - Grocery Near Me - Indio, California

Very reasonable priced grocery store. No frills - you pack your own groceries and they dint take credit cards.

I love the concept of employee owned. The people who work here are all clearly happy with their jobs which makes a huge difference. Now to the problem: I so desperately want to do all of my grocery business with Winco but the selection of sugar free and low carb products is conspicuously missing. I always have to go elsewhere to finish my shopping. 10% of the American population is diabetic, so this failure is really striking. Most companies make sugar free versions of their products...why not carry them? read more
