Grocery Outlet is a treasure hunt for great value. unfortunately as tariffs have ripped up the economy, the deals are not as plentiful as a few years ago, but there always bargains to be had if you look. i never leave without great buys on chips, speciality cheeses, select wine and produce. you never what you'll find, but worth visiting at lest twice a month to keep the grocery bills down. Horribly old building, if felt like a dirty place! A poor lay out of shelves to make rows, very odd. Fruit and vegetable department half full and half bad! I got very little produce. Seemed as if you were on video camera constantly seemed over my shoulder. Then at the register, oh my goodness, the girl was so rude. How could she get off to act that way, not nice at all. Don't go there with bags. They don't touch them easier to let them pack. You must insist, however. Overall horrible experience. Will only use in an emergency. Surprisingly good selection of plant based items like "cheeses" and "meats". Their prices for plant based items are better than other more premium grocery stores. Aside from the good vegan items, GO also has good bargains on other items. They don't have everything you may want, but they do have low prices and a decent selection. I went to Grocery Outlet this morning and pulled down a small bag to get broccoli. The bag was ripped and I left it sitting there and got a new bag. An employee walked by and said to me "pick up your owning f'ing trash". I was shocked by her reaction. I asked to speak to the manager. The manager/owner came over and I told him what happened. He replied "no it didn't. I don't believe you". I used to frequent Grocery Outlet, but I'm in disbelief at the way that I was treated. read more

*Go to GO* Grocery Outlet is a Nationwide chain with 486 locations as of today. But each store is franchised and independently owned & operated. All stores carry items under corporate contracts at set prices, but each individual store is also allowed to purchase items that others don't...and slash their prices even more. Been to GO in Inglewood because it's not too far from Marina del Rey. Liked it so much, wifey & I made monthly trips to change up our routine while saving some money too. Used to go to Bermuda Dunes location when staying in Palm Desert during frequent getaways from LA. Discovered GO in Cat City and became a regular. And now that there's a brand spanking new & huge store in Palm Desert, I go there too. Which leads me to this Palm Springs location I've recently discovered -- tho it's been on my radar the past year...AND I like this location too just as much. Super-duper friendly customer service from everyone here -- including Daniel at the checkout stand. Super-duper mega-slashed discount prices on certain items that makes you think you're seeing things or misprints. They're legit. But make sure to check the expiration dates. My most recent stop I found a 12 pack box of Lara Bars for only $2.99. You read that right = $0.36 each. You'll be lucky to find them on sale for a dollar a bar. I even came back here 2 days later to snag another before they're gone -- got the last one :-) The store is clean with a decent vibe and they have their own parking lot on the front side. They play cool & comforting classic rock to soothe your soul & shopping experience. If you're not into it? My bad. If that's not enough? They also have their own app that's user-friendly...so be sure to download it for a one-time $5 off your next purchase. Reason for 4-stars? 1) some items are overpriced IMO. 2) some of the produce lacks quality. 3) some items are shelved or placed in odd & strange places where they don't belong...AND can be found in 2 to 3 other sections opposed to simply ONE. We come to Palm Springs at least once a month and this is by far my favorite grocery store! The prices are much better than the main chains and the fruits and vegetables are in good shape. In addition, they have a well stocked health and beauty section - and again, you just can't beat those prices! This large store has a variety of items which is great when you're visiting Palm Springs. It's just across the street from a bunch of hotels and I have to tell you. It was like an oasis in a desert. Just enough variety to keep you going, lots of products very good quality to check out staff were excellent And the location is great. It does look like people shop a lot here so they're always busy stocking the shelves. It's a place to go back and continue to kind of browse the aisles and get affordable food. That's excellent in good quality. Snag a shopping cart because the baskets are in short supply, but otherwise I would say it has a very austere look, but it has a lot of produce, which makes you wanna run around and look at a lot of things definitely casual environment. Super fan of this independent owned chain! The Grocery Outlet of Palm Springs is close to immaculate. Located in the downtown area across the street from BevMo and next to Rite Aid between Palm Canyon and Indian Canyon just before the light at Baristo Rd if coming up Northbound. The parking lot is spacious, but all heading in the general flow of traffic, which makes sense given that this part of Palm Canyon is a one way street. The outside has an old bank feel too it, but the inside is nothing but red, yellow and all things G.O. I stopped in for a few snacks during my spring break to myself and went a little wild. I always forget how many great things you can find in every section, from vitamins/supplements and personal care items to wine & beer to all those bulk deals on huge boxes and bags of your favorite eats. If I had a cooler I'd just load it up and drive it back next time as this Grocery Outlet is crazy well stocked and had so many things I never come across compared to some of the locations in Los Angeles. Very impressed with the produce selection as well, though not as fairly priced compared to other major grocers in the are like Stater Bros, Trader Joes or Ralph's even... but the quality sells it for sure! When I see all that ridiculous priced plant-based frozen and cold stuff like vegan cheese for TWO DOLLARS my eyes say yes, but my brain goes what are you gonna do with all of it lol. You won't find everything you might find at a major chain, but you'll find all the essential + so many things you never knew you wanted or needed in your life. The customer service was through the roof amazing and the clerk that rang me up was so friendly and kind to me and everyone I saw her assist. The Outlet crew on the floor was terrific as well. Sorry excuse for a grocery store. Lazy workers always dressed sloppy, chit chatting amongst each other. The stock boy is always blocking the middle freezer isle and casually texting in between boxes. They close the store unannounced what seems like every other Saturday. Today there was a "computer issue". Two weeks ago it was the bathroom flooding. Get it together, you are one of the only grocery stores located downtown. I really only come here for convenience, but it hasn't been convenient at all. read more

I stopped by yesterday to buy some snacks with my family. My sibling had to use the restroom, and he was walking to it, when we hear on paging speaker that restrooms were closed. I felt uncomfortable because how we were being watched (I guess) and then the manager on loud speaker says - Security scan all areas.... ‍ Since when does this store have "security "??? Eventually the don't!! She was just being rude and up on all the customers movements. I bought what I needed and we left. How can you shop comfortably without being watched?? She was automatically assuming we were there to shoplift! We would never ever do that!!! So, this is the last time we shop there. A few co-workers that I spoke to, told me Yeah she can and is a B***h!!! She was discriminating against us!! My friend and I drove here to grocery shop because we were still missing some items for our Memorial Weekend BBQ party at World Mark by Wyndham, Palm Springs, CA on Sunday, May/28/23. The items we needed were: obviously beer, some veggies, eggs and more water bottles too. Fortunately, we were able to locate everything we needed in less than half an hour of strolling inside this Grocery Outlets in Downtown Palm Springs which wasn't far from our Time Share at all. The cashier line went fast and efficient. There was some kind of wait time involved but not that long. Next time we stay at World Mark, we will for sure visit this grocery store again for our future BBQ party needs! I needed tampons and I we were visiting PS without a car. We had driven by this outlet on earlier trips and wondered what it actually had. A quick call confirmed: yes they have tampons. I guess I was expecting more of a dollar store selection, but no. It was a complete grocery store: produce and all. And quality brands. We got 1 liter Smart water for $2. And I got funky brands (they had mainstream brands too for discounted prices) that were organic and made from bamboo and super cheap, $3 or so. Well done. As a frequent shopper at Grocery Outlet Bargain Markets in general I was hopeful that this location in Palm Springs would provide a great shopping experience. Upon walking up to the store entrance, I noticed signage promoting mask wearing before entering the store. The store layout seemed a little disorganized to me in that I'm used to seeing a NOSH aisle in the store with organic items which I didn't find in this store. I did appreciate the visibility of stand up hand sanitizer for customers to use which shopping as well as offering a variety of vegan cheeses.Although they offer vegan frozen meals, the store didn't provide enough variety for me since I often shop at grocery outlets for lunch food to take to work. While this store has a variety of food and home items, I feel that there's a lot of wasted space inside the store. Personally I feel that the store layout could be more open and the vegetarian/vegan food could be better organized for easier shopping for that particular customer base. read more

The selection was a little smaller than I normally am used to, but the staff were very helpful. Comparable prices to normal grocery outlets! Went in for snacks and my bf had to use the restroom because we're going to be in the car for a while. He asked the worker for a bathroom key and the guy said he would go get it and 20 minutes went by and the worker was no where to be found. We asked another employee and they said only that ONE guy had the key. Then someone finally opened the door and there was no toilet paper, no toilet covers, and absolutely nasty. My bf ended up going across the street to BevMo which is way better service and much cleaner. And no WAIT. Also when I was checking out I used EBT and the employee didn't mention only the paper bags are covered by EBT, and then he couldn't remove the plastic bag charge when I said I'd rather not have a bag then. And then he made me feel bad that he would have to cover the cost of the bag somehow today and I ended up paying it - just wish I was informed before & wasn't guilt tripped when the cost couldn't be removed read more

I thought it was inexperienced kids that didn't know when to leave a customer alone BUT! a woman who I assumed was by appearance mentally challenged asked if I needed help after just telling the kids no and leave me to my own. This woman came back immedisteely for a second time and once again I was stern and said no . She Came back again and I told her how to deal with customers ... I walked and left her arguing with herself on the 3rd go round ... asked for the manager and she claimed she was the owner!!!!! Omg . Won't go back . Someone needs to run a welfare check and get her off the floor . With 50 years of successful selling experience letting the customer know you're there then backing off is the normal way . This was a nice grocery store within walking distance of our hotel. Prices were fair on most items we bought considering the area and service was friendly, especially since I dropped my drink at the register. We were able to get what we need in a timely manner and the store was clean. read more

Waited two weeks after the grand opening to come. Fairly clean which is to be expected since they just opened. Despite the store being mostly empty I had some trouble getting down the narrow aisles which were made even more impossible to get down by the staff sitting in the middle with piles of boxes all around them. On the plus side the shelves were being stocked constantly! Just had to wait for the staff to finish before I could attempt to go through. Veggie and fresh produce was a little sad even with the bargain prices. Frozen foods selection was bomb! I can't wait to go back for more. Love healthy food selections and found a lot of products that I wouldn't normally be able to find in the desert plus they were marked down in price!!! BUYER BEWARE! A huge disappointment! I went to their grand opening in Palm Springs with a special fund I had saved and now wishing I hadn't! The deli meats and salads do show the ingredients but they are illegible. They bring other brands such as Boars Head meats pumped full of Nitrates! PRICES are outrageous, quite a bit higher than either Ralph's or Trader Joe's who carries their own brand with better quality and lower prices. Whole Foods does a much better job of everything and is tops for freshness for fair prices. I won't be returning to Sprouts! read more

Not really to much to say about this place. It's pretty much your typical discount grocery store. That said it was fairly clean and everything on the shelves looked neatly placed*i've been so some where it looks like on of our 4.5 California earthquakes hit and they didn't tidy up the shelves* They do have a nice selection of frozen foods as well as canned goods. We filled our cart up with canned goods*filling up the pantry in our garage for an emergency* They followed all the appropriate protections from Covid. Will be back in the future to pick up some more canned goods. PS....I you find something you like make sure you buy extra because if it sells out it may not be re-stalked. Stay safe folks. read more

I believe that I can safely say, that this grocery "outlet", is safe to shop at, considering that they almost have unbelievably low prices, for most things, however other insignificant items can creep up on you without any warning. Shopping today for groceries was torturous. Mostly because I hate to be in a big box grocery store. Instacart is my savior. Today, I was going down the caviar isle, which by the way, is "way okay", considering that its cheap, its not overly salty, which makes it a WIN in my book. Just pair it with something that is bland and you will be golden. In the caviar aisle, there happened to be a cardboard stand where Stove Top whatever was being shoved into the space. This tower of Stove Top marketing was sitting IN the aisle that I was navigating with the huge shopping cart. I hit the Stove Top stand... and many of the boxes fell to the floor. Here I am, trying to pick up and restock and shelve all the items that I had knocked over. Not Happy. Apparently, much to my dismay, this Stove Top, Chicken flavor stuffing mix by Kraft (something that I would never ever ever buy in a million years)... fell into my cart. I ended up buying two boxes of this stuff without noticing. It's okay. I will get over it. But I do not find it funny that I purchased Stove Top stuffing.... read more

I love this store! It's like a treasure hunt every time I go back. They have their main staples that you can always find. Milk, eggs, produce, etc. but I really love the Nosh section of the store! They have the best selection of paleo, keto and gluten free foods! Avocado mayo, coconut oil, gluten free pancake mix and so much more at bargain prices! I used to love this place when it first opened. However during Covid this past year I've witnessed maskless shoppers and homeless inside and outside the store. The staff do not enforce mask wearing. At times you can't even park in their lot as it is overrun by people who are not shopping there. I've brought this up to them, all issues and they go unheard. The owners briskly walk past you when you say hello or try to provide feedback. What they're doing in a customer facing industry is beyond me. We went from shopping there almost exclusively to almost never. I'll drive out of my way to get what I need instead of our neighborhood store. Came here to buy rubbing alcohol and use the restroom. The restroom was DISGUSTING. There was feces all over the toilet and walls. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. There was no hand soap either. We went to buy the rubbing alcohol and a few other items and the line was so long with a bunch of workers and only one person on the register. We couldn't wait so we had to leave and while the one working cashier was helping another customer he yelled at us "did you buy anything!!!!??!" "You CANT USE OUR RESTROOMS UNLESS YOU BUY SOMETHING". Then another worker came out of nowhere and started badgering us as well. How about you open another register and start working instead of yelling at people. They definitely do not pay these people enough to act like that. It was really weird and uncomfortable. They acted as if we stole something. Mind you one of the girls I was with was visibly pregnant. I told them to have the day they deserved and they started cussing at us so we left. We are staying in the area for a birthday trip and we're planning to buy supplies later and WILL NOT BE COMING back! Stay far away from these psycho paths. Also mind you the restroom we used one of the other employees opened it for us and did not say we had to buy something to use it. I recently spent 5 days staying at the Kimpton Rowan hotel, located about 3 blocks to the nroth of this location. Shortly after having arrived at the hotel, and since I had never before stayed in Palm Springs, I decided to set out to find the nearest good grocery store that stocked one-gallon jugs of spring water. I asked for a recommendation at the hotel front desk, and I was told that this store, The Grocery Outlet, was the best choice for me to visit! So, I walked the 3+ blocks south from my hotel, found this little grocery store, and found quickly that it fulfilled all of my needs in the realms of food and drink. I was not only able to find one-gallon jugs of spring water, but they also had bottles of hot sauce, and a good assortment of cheeses, and some other basics that I needed to stock my hotel room with. I ended up walking to this shop at least once per day to get last-minute items that I had suddenly discovered that I needed. If and when I ever return to Palm Spring and stay at the nearby Kimpton, I will definitely come back here to stock up on jugs of spring water, cheese, and bottles of hot sauce, as well as other staple items and basics! BTW, I always found all the staffers at this little grocery market to be very helpful and friendly! I am very glad that this market is here, for it turned out to be a lifesaver! read more

Went here not too long after they opened but after using another item bought there I figure a review is due. I live part time in LA and see the commercials for this grocer so I was happy to see a location (franchised) open in downtown Palm Springs. My first impression was it was a little unorganized and lacking in presentation of items. This chain has been called the TJ Max of grocers and I can say it really is. Brands you've never heard of but look interesting. But there's a reason you've never heard of a lot of these brands, namely they're not very good. A pasta sauce I bought was from the Sonoma wine country looked promising. It was probably the most bland and boring bottled sauce I've ever bought. Face scrub that seemed to be a good buy (but an off brand) is basically paste with nothing abrasive to cleanse your face. Other items seemed to be priced to compete with Jensen's or even Von's. Not really bargains and not really good. Other items I purchased were not really a value or worth the trip. Produce was an after-thought and packaged meats were no better than Wal-Mart. Skip the trip and head to Aldi or Trader Joe's for interesting finds and good prices. read more

1) Understand what an outlet store is (apparently not everyone does) - they only sell excess inventory from various sources so theirs will constantly change - don't expect it to be at all like a typical supermarket. 2) "Wow" level bargains WILL be found, including some brands you know and trust. 3) If you're into health, whatever that means to you, make a hard right when you enter and go directly the side marked in green, the NOSH section (stands for "Natural, Organic, Specialty, and Healthy"). Food, supplements, and vitamins also. 4) They sell lots of "stuff" too, I didn't look at it too closely but did notice a ceramic non-stick frying pan about $6 cheaper than I'd seen them anywhere else before (ceramic is the only safe non-stick pan: Teflon is very toxic!). read more

The staff just lacks professionalism, you get what you pay for! There 2 men that work there that should have zero customer contact! I've almost tripped over them and nothing comes out!
