Whatever you do, avoid the pharmacy at the Ralphs Store on Sunrise in Palm Springs. I am a Dr writing this review. When I called them as a Dr calling about a patient prescription it took 2 different calls and a total of 20 minutes to get through their very messed up robo phone answering system. When I finally reached a pharmacist she had a terribly combative attitude and actually lied to me insisting the patient had already picked up the prescription that very morning and that another Dr had taken care of it. She refused to accept my phoned in prescription. I called the patient to confirm. She told me she had not picked up any presciption at all and that she and her husband were discussing ending any shopping at this Ralphs as had deteriorated terribly and become an unpleasant experience and she was going to use Amazon pharmacy in the future. So far, I have had good experiences with the Amazon Pharmacy. read more

I posted a similar review for the Ralphs over on Palm Canyon. Just please will somebody tell me why they can't slice cold cuts "very thin" in the deli?! I always get told that if they slice them any thinner they will be shredded which is just not the case. Maybe somebody from Boar's Head can come in and demonstrate how to do it right. If not, then remove the display case signs that offer the choices for thickness. Always end up tossing unused purchases because they're just not good. Maybe go over to Jersey Mike's and see how easy it is. I worked in a number of delis back in the day so I also know how easy it is. On top of that, the pre-sliced options are crazy thick as well. Not slamming the workers, they are always very nice. Just need better training I think. read more

The worst pharmacy ever. The pharmacist and staff steal pills from customers and take them while working. the entire staff is always strung out on drugs. They treat customers with such distain that it's an emotional trauma to pick up prescriptions. Ralphs needs to drug test all pharmacy employees and conduct a forensic audit/inventory to find out just how bad the situation is. read more

Customer service is just awful. The pharmacy manager is just the worst. I went in for a vaccine and he was lying to me regarding my previous visit. Lets go to Ralph's Palm Springs! In one of my favorite well stretched out plaza/centers in Coachella Valley that I'll call the Sunrise Way Shopping Center (if it's not already named that). Typically clean, typically extremely personable and typically you will find what you need! Depending on the day of the week, like most grocers, this place gets shopped hard! I always keep in mind at any place after Sunday morning it could be slim pickings if any for certain items. I've stopped in during the day and at super late night and everyone is always helpful from start to finish. Parking is very easy as is cart access. Prices may very, but Kroger/Albertsons/Ralphs and others in co have a nice rewards app and program that can bring in some extra discounts and the occasional best customer savings which sometimes include a free item each month which come in handy when traveling. 89oz Simply Lemonade... don't mind if I do! I will say that navigating through this store can be a little odd with some departments being redesigned for a newer feel, but an awkward layout in some areas including some small isles. read more

The worst, most insulting customer service I've ever had. I was shopping at Ralph's after church when I had an immediate need to use the bathroom. That happens when you're a 70+ year old guy. I found the bathroom in the back corner near the pharmacy, but it had a combination lock, which makes sense these days. I asked the Pharmacist for the combination but he refused to give it to me, and sent me to the front of the store to get it from a manager. The produce guy took pity on me and gave me the combo, just in time! When I finished attending to my needs I exited the bathroom, and seeing the Pharmacist in his cage asked him why he wouldn't give me the combo. Having just come from church I was dressed in my Sunday finest and I was pushing a cart of Ralph's finest I was planning on cooking for a big Sunday dinner. This one star review is only for my experience on Fri Nov 18, 2022, with employee named Paul, short guy with short dark brown hair . I found four 1.6 lb bags of shelled pistachios on the clearance rack for $9 a bag. I know the cheapest pistachios where you pay for the shells cost $5.99 on sale at Sprouts, usual sale price is $6.99. Costco's shelled pistachios are $18.99 for 1.5 oz. This clearance label does not say like the other clearance labels say, what the "WAS" price was. Employee was adding a cartful of clearance bakery items to the rack, so I asked her what the regular price was of the bag of pistachios marked down to $9.00. She said to take it to the cashier up front and they will tell me. When I asked Paul, who was at the self serve cash registers to help me find out what the original price was, he put up a wall of an unwilling attitude and said it could not be done. When I told him that his co worker stocking the clearance rack told me the cashier's would be able to tell me, he said that his cash registers in the self serve were "too sensitive" and he did not want to subject them to my request. When Paul saw me starting to peel back the clearance sticker from the original barcode, he said what I was doing was "illegal". I got in a female cashier's line. She peeled back the rest of the Clearance sticker, that I had started, and scanned the original barcode. It said $19.95 was the original price. Wow, I told her. I am going back to get the other two bags I left on the Clearance shelf, cos not knowing what the regular price was, I only brought two of the 4 bags to the cashier just to find out how much the discount was. When I told my cashier to charge me for 4 bags, Paul told the cashier in front of me and the customer behind me "make sure you write this down, because she may return the next day, after I peeled off the Clearance label, in order to return the 4 bags and get $100 refund at regular price.". I was shocked. I thought Paul's conduct was so unprofessional that I am going to tell the store manager what Paul said and give this Ralphs a 1 star review about my experiences v--- - with Paul. His whole demeanor from the time I asked if he could to me the original price, will last in my memory everytime I come to this Ralphs. I see this Ralphs has more 1 star negative reviews than any other star rating. read more

This Ralphs is my go to grocery store in Palm Springs. There's another Ralph's right down the block about 2 miles (smoke tree location) but I prefer to come this one. Why? The employee's attitudes that work at this store is just off the charts terrific. Paul gets the shout out here for excellent customer service and it's well deserved. I've watched this guy bust his ass and help customers at the self checkout since the beginning of the pandemic. Paul is that type of guy to help a lady scan her water so she doesn't have to lift it up. He makes eye contact, says hello and helps you step right up to nearest available machine. No matter how busy the self check out is Paul is always friendly and willing to lend a hand to help us customers. The people who work here are nice. The place is fairly clean. That's all that's positive to say here. The shelves at this store are typically empty of basic items. It's so frustrating to be unable to complete your shopping. Every time I've spoken with management they blame "the supply chain." But the Ralph's just north on Ramon does not have the same problem. I was in a rush, hungry and passing by Ralph's in the afternoon a few days ago. I'm still baffled as to how their deli counter could be so poorly managed. a. Do they make sandwiches to order? Nope. Not anymore. b. Do they offer good sides to go with their 2pc. chicken meal? Well, that depends. If you want coleslaw, potato salad or macaroni salad then no, they had none of those. They did have long-leftover, neglected options that nobody had ordered, so there's that. I went with the sticky, dry mac n' cheese (x2 of course). c. Time to ring me up, right? Nope. They no longer let you pay at the deli counter. d. Well then the checkout lines were ready for a quick transaction, right? Nope. The 2 or 3 registers they had open were at least 3 deep with customers. e. It's hot outside. Is there someplace indoors to eat? That too depends. I posed this question to one of the employees after paying for my meal. In response, I got a blank stare from an older lady who then gestured that I could eat in the shopping cart isle (I kid you not). I went to my car and opened my package up. f. Well, after all that, was the chicken worth all the hassle? Not even close. It was as old as anything else in that deli. I took one bite, then one of the dreadful mac. It was inedible as well. I brought the "meal" home and threw it away the next day. g. How does this experience compare to Albertson's or Stater Brothers? That day I was surprised that Ralph's was so dreadful in comparison to other markets. However, last evening we had a ridiculously miserable experience at Stater Brothers as well. In conclusion: I guess it's just a sign of the times. It seems service workers just don't care anymore. This was one of several epic retail failures I have experienced in recent weeks. I live 3min away from this Ralphs, between my job and personal groceries I spend around $300-400/week here. I discovered an item I did not purchase on a work purchase from yesterday, I had used the self checkout and there must have been a scanned item from a previous customer. A supervisor, Nicole, assisted me with the refund. Unprofessional would be a soft way of putting it. Rude, curt and condescending is more like it. Came close to accusing me of lying and having bought a coconut water together with $150 worth of house supplies for work instead of checking the cameras as I offered. This is the large Ralph's on Sunrise, which is well stocked. There is a Ralph's Fresh Fare store a little more than half mile to the south of this location. In case you can't find what you are looking for, ask the employees. Most of the staff at this location are helpful. Make sure to sign up for their Ralph's/Kroger's rewards program for additional savings. Why not? Go ahead and save cash and pay the member's cost. You'll also receive monthly coupons which is based on your purchasing history. I seem to receive monthly coupons for items that I actually consume. Useful! During the high season, the large parking lot can be tight. The specific department sections (i.e. vegetable, frozen meats, deli, dairy, pharmacy, etc.) are fully stocked with lots of brands and choices. When we moved here almost four years ago Ralph's was our favorite grocery store. It was close, clean and the staff was super friendly. The produce and meats were pretty good. Now, NOT SO MUCH. Today we had to bring back meat was was spoiled. Even though the sell by date is July 16th and today is the 7th of July. This is not the first time this has happened to us. It's actually the eighth time. The produce has also gone downhill. Nothing is fresh. You can tell almost everything is almost to the point of being bad. We've complained before and nothing gets done. Had the worst experience from this Ralphs store. The workers "cashiers" are terrible, they didn't let my friend which he's over 21 to buy a drink for himself and the cashier name was "Jessica" who is basically the sales manager which you can tell she does not have respect for customers and the skills. But also the most important thing is that she refused to put the mask on even tho works are required to have masks until the deadline. She refused to the sell the drink and called the cops on us. After talking to her co-worker "Brian" he started yelling on us and cussing out from the store. We were satisfied with Ralphs service but after this terrible experience we had for no reason we are no longer happy about Ralphs and I hope Ralphs can care about their customers. Visited 9/16/2019 Was heading home back in Ranchita after having a Great Seafood Meal at Ruben and Ozzy's Seafood Grill down the street there in Palm Springs and needed some cases if drinking water and some milk. First didn't know Ralph's was part of Kroger. It reminded me of a kroger when we walked in. Dang they got the liquor situation all wrapped up. Wine or beer on almost every end cap. Beer in fridges. We can't do that in Indiana. Store was pretty clean and bright. Also saved some money with Kroger Card. read more

Ralph's Sunrise is proof that the larger you get, the worse service you receive. While there are many good departments in this store, it is inconsistent and the newer employees are well below the standard of the veterans. Went to Ralph's in Palm Springs here for a few things what a crummy store the isles are so narrow that if you had your honey with you, you could not walk giant with together and hold hands, plush how much do they have on your shelf so little you cannot have no choice is at all if you want a nice bowl of soup no, but check out, so ridiculous, my advice go to Walmart. I have been to the Ralph's on Country Club and the deli is amazing, so I decided to try this one. Well that was a huge mistake! I ordered the 2 piece dark meat fried chicken with vegetables. The vegetables were so salty and the chicken had no flavor, was almost burnt and is kept in a not so sanitary looking food heater. Never again. One bite and I felt it in the pit of my stomach. Called the store and talked to Joe (a manager) only after a woman told me I could exchange it for more chicken. No! Joe insisted the chicken was better than KFC and I reassured him that Albertsons chicken is 1000x's better. So after I got serious, Joe tod me I could return it for a refund. This is the worst Ralph's we have ever been to. We only went for the deli since they have Boar's Head. Unfriendly staff at the deli. She clearly hates her job. They wouldn't honor the prices right there displayed in the deli case. The manager had zero service skills. Didn't even get her name. Left to Jensen's and had an amazing experience!
