This is a particularly large, clean, and relatively quiet and calm Target with a big and spacious parking lot. They are in a pretty large and well spaced out strip mall that includes a Kohl's, an Aldi's, and several eateries as well. We don't go here often, mainly for household knick-knack items and when coincidentally nearby, but it is one of my favorite Target locations. read more

I have been shopping at Target Glenview since it opened over 20 years ago. I can say that I like shopping there. However, in the recent couple of years, I don't know what is wrong with their customer service department. It used to be friendly, polite, and competent. Now, their customer service, especially some of their managers, who are arrogant and unaccommodating, could easily ruin the whole shopping experience. Recently, a couple days before Christmas, my good shopping experience was ruined by the middle-age female staff, named Luba, at the self-checkout stations. Then it was further worsened by her manager Alex. When there was a discrepancy between the scanned price and the price listed on the rack, Luba refused to ask someone to verify the price or honor the posted price. Instead, she insisted the scanned price must be correct and told me that if I did not like the price, I did not have to buy the item. To avoid wasting time, I chose not to purchase one item and paid the higher price for another. At the end, I was supposed to get a gift card from a deal. Nowadays, for security reason, Target would need their staff to put a sticker on the gift card, then scan it to link it to my account. However, after Luba put the sticker on the gift card, she didn't know what to do. She kept scanning the gift card as if I was using it for the transaction. Her action made the purchase system acting weird. Then she questioned if I was eligible for the gift card, and got her boss to help. Her boss was Alex. I had dealt with him numerous of times. He never smiles, acting in a condescending way, had never accommodated. This time, he said that the system had stopped working, and he had to void the whole transaction and re-scan everything. Needless to say, I was not happy. I said it's wasting my time. Then he responded by saying "it's wasting my time too"! I said he got paid for it. The he mumbled something. What kind of attitude was that? He was the customer service manager who needed to correct the mistake made by his staff. When I said the female staff didn't know what she was doing, he dismissed it by saying that Luba usually does not work in that area. That explanation is unacceptable, she was assigned to assist customers at self-checkout and should have been properly trained. It would have been fine if both of them just apologized for my inconvenience, but neither of them did that. No sorry, no thank you, Target really need to re-train their customer service staff of the Glenview store to understand what good customer service is. read more

Today I experienced racial discrimination at this Starbucks. The employee repeatedly responded with "I don't understand" every time I spoke, as if they could not understand my English. I was simply trying to buy a tumbler and a coffee. What kind of advanced English is required for such a basic transaction? I asked whether there was a gift box available because the tumbler was intended as a gift. The employee again replied, "I don't understand." Then they tried to pour my coffee into the gift tumbler, which had not even been washed. I explained that it was a gift item and should not be used. They said they would replace it, but again responded with "I don't understand." Later, I requested cream and sugar for my iced coffee. Once again, I was told, "I don't understand." After I had already paid, they asked me again whether I wanted cream and sugar. I repeated my request three times, and each time I received the same response: "I don't understand." While I was trying to file a complaint, a Target employee who appeared younger than my son suddenly told me to take my coffee and leave. Several employees stood around while I was the only Asian customer there, and I felt mocked and humiliated. Other customers behind me did not know what had happened, yet that employee and his son-like companion were speaking negatively about me. The manager initially ignored my concerns and acted as though nothing had happened. It was only after I asked them to call the police that the manager finally apologized. I do not understand why the police were not called when I requested assistance. I was frightened and deeply upset. A customer who had been waiting for coffee told me, "Your English is fine. I understand you. Please don't let this bother you." At that point, I was in tears. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I have already filed a complaint with Starbucks corporate and plan to file a police report regarding this incident. read more

Be prepared to wait for 45 min to check yourself out. The self checkout line was the only option open , despite dozens of staff milling around the store. The line was backed up all the way to the grocery section & still no one cared to open up a register. I don't blame the people boycotting target. The store itself is great however the checkout experience is not. Since their self checkout machines are now card only, this forces everyone using cash to use the manned checkouts. No problem with that except when you only have one lane open and it backs up into the women clothing aisle. Absolutely ridiculous! I should not be forced to wait in line for 30 minutes when I'm getting one or two items behind people with a shopping cart overfulled and not allowing those with one item in hand ahead of them like people used to do back in the 80s and 90s give courtesy to those with a few items so they don't have to wait while a full shopping cart gets scanned. What happened to fast service? Guess service is far and beyond at Traget when there is no front end manager on duty whom I can talk to nor have them call for backup or themselves be the backup. Now you cut on labor at the self checkout blaming how money would get stuck and machines break so you aren't accepting money there and also due to theft. You're actually encouraging theft now even more with cards only. I ended up not buying anything because the cashier that had one guy in line and was done with him said she's closed even though she saw me with one item in my hand like she couldn't take care of me or could at least called backup. Yep so you lost a sale right there because your refusal to open more lanes or another lane when you see a line backed up. And it doesn't matter if it's morning, noon or night. Thought you guys opened registers when there was 3 people in line waiting but guess not. Worse service than Walgreens. Walgreens opens up additional checkouts when there is a line, actually cares about customer having a pleasant experience despite being small and limited floor staff. But at Target expect to wait hours on end if you are using cash. It's like they are forcing people into using cards against their will of they want to shop. As for a gift card, why should I spend money and pre pay the Target corporation for one time shopping. Just hire more cashiers or get the manager to help at the checkout instead of skimping on customer relations. read more

This is the worst parking lot that I have ever been to. You can't get a close by the door parking space. You have to go around 15 times to get a closer parking space and people honking their horns at you. Someone almost got my parking space when I had my directional light on aiming to go to the parking space. People don't watch for you. It takes forever to get out of here and people are so impatient. hate this parking lot. I was going to go to my car and I saw this black suv just sitting there. Targets are pretty standard. This one looks pretty new but maybe that's because I've been inside a Target store fewer than five times since the panic-buying days of the pandemic began. This one may be a bit more bougie because it's located in Glenview, and has definitely had a bit of a makeover in recent years. Parking is plentiful, and there are some EV charging stations in the lot for the businesses here. There's an optical center and Starbucks as you find in most targets these days. read more

Used the target app then drove to pick up. Excellent drop off service came out to the car in under five minutes! So convenient! The app confirmation is so easy to use. I'd like to take off a 1/2 star because I specifically drove to this location because I purchased a Frankenstein feathery friend. After completing my purchase I was notified it was no longer in stock. It was the only one available in the Chicago area. A more accurate connection between in store inventory and the website would have saved me a trip. read more

Nice outside of the building. Came in for some quick shopping. Everything was pretty nicely organized and the crowd of people wasn't too bad for 6:00pm on a Tuesday. Mostly looking for funk pops to collect to see if there were any new ones out but this location didn't really have much to chose from. On June 6, 2025, Target Red Card electronically charged me the balance, $692.47 twice. Target admits it was a mistake and I am owed the $ back. Target claims it is not possible to refund the $ electronically - even though it was taken electronically. Target claims I will be sent a check. Each time I call Target about the check, I am assured it was sent and I need to wait 10 business days to receive it. Target claims to have sent at least 3 checks. Each time I call, I get different dates that checks were sent. Today, I spoke to 2 people. The first one said the check was just sent on September 11. When I pointed out that day is three days away, he claimed that I was wrong about today's date (09/08/2025). He said no checks have been returned to Target. I insisted on speaking with a manager. That person told me that 2 checks have been returned to Target from the U.S. Post Office. (I have no problem receiving bills from Target each month.) Then the Target manager pointed out that I have an apt. # and those places are known for theft. I pointed out the U.S. Post Office sends me pictures of all mail I am to receive each day. I also live in a building with only 4 units. The Target manager says I cannot get a credit for the $692.47 nor can I get it electronically. He refused to send me to another department or any other manager. I think 3 months is long enough to wait for Target's mistake. read more

I like Target overall and refuse to shop elsewhere (WM) but for some reason the Drive Up service at this location is riddled with problems. They constantly mess my order up somehow, either give me an item I didnt order, forget to give me something I did order, or give me a similar item but not the one I ordered. Can this possibly be the best Target out there? Spotless and well stocked. Everything was super easy to find. The displays were outstanding! Every employee I spoke to was kind and courteous. They would tell me hello as they walked by, I really liked that! When I asked for help they were knowledgeable of the store and took me right away. Today I went to Target on Willow Road in Glenview. There was one check-out open and one area of self-check out open. Between the two check-out options there were over 17 people waiting in line. In the past when a manager would see this they would tell customers to go to the Customer service counter to check-out to handle the over flow. I proceeded to the Customer Service counter where there were 2 people waiting in line to return an item. When it was my turn, I proceeded to the counter where a girl named Jacqui was waiting to help. She said with a nasty and condescending attitude "I can not check you out here as this is JUST for other services than a regular check-out! You will have to go to the check-out areas! Then she proceeded to state "When there is a line of other customers in line here at the customer service desk... we will not help you!" I looked all around me and there was not even one customer at the customer service desk! I then asked for a manager. She called a manager and then they stated the same with an attitude. A customer walked up and Jacqui proceeded to help them. The customer finished and walked off. Then Jacqui immediately went to the back where she could not be seen. I went to the area where Jacqui was which was 2 ft from the doorway and Jacqui was hanging some items up. I said "Jacqui, why won't you help me there are no customers at the customer service desk?" She then responded in a strong nasty tone "Can't you see I am busy?" Another associate who had heard the conversations came to help me. His name was JOE and he understood the concept of CUSTOMER FIRST! What a wonderful employee and was so kind and HELPFUL instead of a young inexperienced girl who was trying everything to not help. This is a very special Target. I drove specifically to this Target a couple of times as they have items in stock that other locations do not. They usually have a good amount of clearance, too. This location is more clean and organized than other locations which is a big plus for me. Most staff I've encountered has been very nice and even chatted me up a bit while checking out. I've only gone in off hours and even then it's seemed fairly busy to me so I can't imagine the crowds during peak times. I have a feeling it gets insanely busy. I love me some Target. I recently visited this location of Target. The store was overall clean and quite organized. The selections of products, items and other stuffs are almost the same with the Target near my place. The staff in here are also approachable, polite and very accommodating. I went to their selection of clothes and they have a really nice collection. I also found pair of clothes with interesting designs something that is purposely made for Christmas. The shelf of it is pretty gone because maybe a lot of people also bought it. This is the most unique Target I've been to. Considering the location, within some wealthier suburbs, it makes sense. it's bright (very bright!), clean, and spacious. The layout is completely different than other locations, and I was a bit lost wandering around. All the clothes are in the middle of the store, while everything is within surrounding aisles. And it was all organized!!! No mess at all! Gosh! I was also kind of in love with the kitchen area, which was set up in a neat display. Kind of fancy-ish. Like Macy's. There's also a Starbucks and I even noticed a Wine & Spirits section on the other side of the store. Whaat!? Is that normal in Target? Neat. The only thing I didn't like was that this location seemed to carry things that other ones didn't and vice versa. There were a few things I knew Target should've had that I couldn't find. Oh well. We came here on Christmas Eve Eve, so it was quite busy; we just looked for a few specific things and got out as quickly as we could (self check-out is a wonderful thing). I strode through the front doors the other day and happened to spy a rare treasure on the cheap racks right across from the electronics section--11 oz bags of Stauffer's animal crackers (the only good brand) for only a buck. My first thought was, "Hell yes--Stauffer's animal crackers for a dollar!" (Is it sad that this was the best moment of my day?) My second thought was "I gotta bump these guys up a star." (Eh, even sadder, I know. Effing Yelp.) But it didn't last long, as I spent the next six minutes trying to find the kitchen section. I did a 270-degree circuit of the store because they rearranged the entire place AND I CAN'T FIND ANYFREAKINGTHING ANYMORE. Seriously, I'm a smart guy, but I staggered around that joint like I was just thawed out of 10,000-year-old ice. This store is my usual Target thanks to its proximity to my office, so I find myself here once or twice a month. How long will it take me to learn the bewildering new floor plan? What was the point of shuffling around three-quarters of the departments? Who is responsible for this? To whom can I complain? Can I be compensated for my pain and suffering? The Good I gave two stars because this has been my go-to since my husband and I moved here last year. The order pickup is generally easy and returns are very easy as well. The Bad Injured my foot and can't walk so I opted to try the drive up service so that my husband could just grab and go (we have a 6 mon old at home). Once my husband got home and we checked the items- 3 items were marked "picked up" but were not included in the order pick up. Called and asked to see how to get the other items that were missed. Was told he'd need to come back inside. The Ugly Called the store before my husband got to Target so they could set them aside and he wouldn't have to wait more than needed (foot is still injured I have a 6 mon old and I can't move). Husband shows up to guest service counter and they haven't pulled the products. Husband asks for the missing product and the employees just stand around discussing who should go get it. Husband asks what's taking so long. Informed the employee that I called to have them set aside. Employees talk over Wallis talkie and operator that handled my request says "that's not my problem" and employee says to husband "well I can tell you where they are" Husband goes into the aisles to grab missing product before leaving. Poor poor service. Didn't receive the product the first time. Requested it be pulled aside to expedite the pick up. Ended up getting it himself. read more

Clean, nicely lit, great selection and pretty good prices for many items. While I won't buy EVERYTHING here, grocery-wise, they do have good prices for Chobani yogurt, which is my favorite. It usually costs a dime less than at my usual grocery store. And with my Target Card, I save 5% on my purchases...not a lot, but every bit helps these days. The staff is pretty friendly and helpful. And when they have a sale or promotion on a certain item, I'll stock up here. Cat litter can be pricey at times, but they often have a sale where if you buy two, you'll get a gift card. Nice deal. The return policy here is pretty good too, I've never had a problem getting a gift card credit for something I didn't like. One time, I bought an expired food product, but returned it the next day and they cheerfully gave me a refund, and an apology for not keeping a better eye on their time sensitive inventory. Good place to go for ear piercing. Piercing is done by an intelligent nurse, and I found from personal experience that getting a piercing from a gun is better than a needle. Make sure you get earrings with a butterfly clasp. This reduces unsightly crust on the back of the earring (known as the post) and makes it harder to get infected. The piercings I got from Target didn't get infected but the ones from the tattoo shop with a long post at the back did. read more

The employees are friendly and actualy sometimes ask to make sure we're finding everything. If I don't, there's plenty of workers stocking the aisles are very helpful. The way they treated me was not acceptable to me. They decided to cancel my credit card with out letting me know by email or sending a letter in the mail I have been a good customer since 2006 and have spent hundreds of dollars with the store and also in line. I am from Minnesota, the land of Targers so maybe my take on this target is a bit too strong but Ive been coming here for about 4 months now and here we go -there is no starbucks here, which is a minus in my opinion, but there is Freshii -they are very clean and organized BUT often times there are out of staples, like pet food, shelf liners, ranch, eggs. -sometimes you can can score some amazing deals on clearance -I believe there are at least 16 registers, but they never have more then 2-3 open and often times your target run is 30 min and then you have to wait 20 min in line to check out. The express check out lines are almost never open and I dont understand that. -prices dont always match with what its marked /ringing at the register. Watch out. read more
