The employee never even acknowledged me. She went to find the item for the other person. Fine. I get waiting my turn. The employee then proceeded to ring up the customer and then went ahead and did the rest of her purchases, about 20-25 items all non jewelry. Then the woman paid her $250 bill with $20 credits. Not once did the employee apologize or acknowledge that I was waiting while she did a sale for mainly non jewelry. The manager came over and grabbed a key but never acknowledged me. Came back about 5-10 minutes later as I still stood waiting. Asked how to help then told me I would have to wait. At this point is was clear I was frustrated after waiting over 20 minutes. The first apology I got but it was only kind of half hearted and at this point it was 25 minutes too late. I have no trouble waiting my turn. But I was there before that sale even started. That employee should've said I'm sorry, but given that there's other people waiting, (myself and someone else behind me) I'm going to have to ask you to make the rest of your purchase at the front of the store. There are so many other TJ Maxx that are so much better than this one anyways. I'd save your time on this one.

This place has been around for several months now and I never see anyone in it. The workers there…read moreare all Korean, two older ladies that are really nice and this one younger Korean girl whose a lot more fluent in English (which is REALLY nice). They have organic lotions, shampoos, deodorants, bath salts, face cremes, foods (some you can find at whole foods, others not, and their selection is minor compared to the beauty products) beauty products for anti-aging and anti-acne. Also they have shapewear, natural hair dye (without all the icky chemicals), detergent (all natural), serums for your hair, spring water facial moisturizers...(Yeah I've been here a lot) I've bought a LOT of stuff here and if you're a member their discounts are major, especially during sales. Member price for a 12.99 set of microwavable/dishwasher safe bowls (which made great gifts) are 6 bucks. I think that's pretty amazing. They're pretty too. And they also have mineral makeup. They carry the brand Wholefood Nutrition...They have sunscreen, powders that prevent alzheimers, assist in diabetes, protect against free radicals, detox, provide natural energy etc... If you want to try any of the products you can, they have a million testers and you can even try out their toothpaste and mouthwash. The special mouthwash they have is crazy. If you use it you can see how much CRAP is actually in your mouth and you spit it out and BAM. It cleans you out so well and it's not all alcoholey. The weirdest but coolest stuff are these glasses of different kinds that you put water in and it's made in a way where it'll give you this positive energy if you drink it. So it's good for your body. They also have pendants and wands you carry with you that do the same thing with the positive energy (all asian stuff obviously) but it's expensive. If you look up about positive energized water and how the molecules look different (overseas in asia they discovered this) the positive energy is effective on a person. Maybe it's a placebo effect, but I'd like to think it's for real. AND IF YOU LIKE COFFEE they have plenty. My favorite is the pansy good tasting coffee (White Cappuccino) which comes in instant packets. I JUST bought a new package which has a ton of little packages in it, and I hope not to drink all of it today. It's truly a delicious drink... I don't know what else to say other than go look inside. I wish they got more business because I'm afraid they'll close down from lack of business and then I'll have to order online or find a salesperson haha.

Highly recommend using these products!

I continue to be so in love with this store. If you're into shops that will have you looking in…read moreevery single corner wanting every single thing, then this is your stop. Tonight I finished my holiday shopping for my niece and picked up a couple of beautiful gifts. The kids section contains high-quality merchandise. My hubby was literally double-parked outside, and I thought I could just run in and out, but no way. I wanted to buy the entire collection! From adorable natural cotton baby clothes to books, to stuffed animals, to toys, you will not leave empty-handed. They have something for every budget, and I think the prices are spot on for the quality. I truly admit to being completely obsessed with an adorable owl stuffed animal. Sooooo cute! Now, the best part about this store? Well, aside from the well-curated merchandise, is the owner. She's a total sweetheart and helped me pick out the perfect gift. She also gift-wrapped it in a super cute burlap bag with my choice of tissue color and a tie. Thank you...thank you. I'm so happy to see that this store is around. I need to stop in more often. Of course, not just for baby gifts, because they have grown-up goodies and cards too. Run, don't walk to this store. You won't be disappointed. Plus, it's super cute inside.

You know you have little ones at home when you pass by a new store and can't get a nursery rhyme out of your head. Yes, there's a new store in Glencoe...whoo hoo! I haven't done much shopping in town since Shirise closed their doors earlier this year (RIP), but it's fabulous to have a store where you can quickly pop in for a housewarming gift or just a little something for visiting a new baby. In the few weeks BlackSheep has been open I've stopped in twice to purchase: a) a lovely candle for the host of dinner during the jewish holidays b) a lovey for a new baby visit (the "real" gift wasn't ready quite yet) And of course I can't forget the few times my pre-schooler has dragged me in there for "just a few pieces of candy." Based on the fabulous candy display they have set up I have a feeling we'll be spending lots of time (and $) at BlackSheep. Welcome to the hood BlackSheep!

The color was pale and it was plain. When I enter they have a lot of products in their section. I went to the shoe section since I wanted to buy sandals. I need high heels and sandals. On a whim, I decided to head out and check out the new store. I purposely left my debit card at home and went *shopping* with my iPhone camera. I conveniently parked in the onsite parking lot and went in. I immediately noticed that the store feels a bit sparse and airy, but it's probably because everything is nicely organized and well curated. Off to the right you'll find a nice selection of handbags and a somewhat hidden checkout counter. You'll find name brand sunglasses, and a nice selection of workout clothes (don't miss the 70% off rack). Like any outlet store, you can be expected to to spend some time browsing the sale racks. But it's worth it, because I spotted a great blazer I would come back and purchase to wear with jeans. The coat selection is great. Though I don't want to think about coat shopping, this would be a good time to do it before the men's and women's coats are picked over. There is a men's section in the back. On to the shoes. If you're a woman size 8-8.5, I found that size to have the most variety. They have newer shoes, only slightly discounted, mixed with sale shoes. I would come back for a special outfit for a special occasion. As far as everyday shopping, I would have to come back with more time in my schedule...oh...and my debit card!
