This store is popular. Every random time I have dropped in here, and it's only because I'm with the wife who is looking for something, it has been pretty dang busy. It's also a bright, airy, and clean store. It's mostly women customers and I have a feeling they know there are some good deals here, and I agree from what I've seen. I don't personally always buy much of anything, but if the timing were right, I've seen some pretty good values on items like socks, luggage, clothing, local sports team wear, household or kitchen knick-knacks, and even coffee if it's on on sale. I'd say it's a good place to drop in on occasionally and putz around and find items you didn't know you needed and at a good price. read more

Love the store... it's so fun to go to because of the amazing price of name brand products. But the problem is the workers. At around 15 mins before closing, the line was getting lengthy. So as a normal person would, I thought the cashiers would start picking the pace. But NO! Our cashier was moving so slow and looked as if she didn't care that there was a huge line waiting to pay!! I wish I can but I cant give this location 0 stars. Employees there have problem working with people. They won't help you they will show you attitude. Ask for help they won't help. At the register one lady was taking care of me she was paying attention for a bag (it wasn't my bag) she left me with no word. I ask if someone find a hat (my son lost it) what was the answer? Go find yourself it's not my business. Like are you kidding me ?! You can't treat customers that way! Store is sooooo messy like they don't care. I don't recommend this store. TJ Maxx is the place to go to for name brands for less. They used to have a lot more stuff to choose from but they seem to have less now. I also like to shop at Ross. Prices seem to be good there too. But TJ Maxx is much to my home so I end up going there more often. My happy place this is the best place ever! It beats any other store if you are looking for great prices. I went in expecting nothing, just like everything else in my life. I needed a dress for some honor thing, and as a really thin person it is hard to find a dress that fits proper. I actually found a few at TJ Maxx that fit perfect. I left there so happy and was speechless. The staff was friendly, and the dressing rooms were clean. The only thing I had issue with is that I wish they had more clothes in my size. They have some really good clothes, but a lot of the time it is for sizes way bigger than me. But, I enjoy my shopping trip every time I go. I love to,go to different ones because they are not created equal and if you see something you like, you better get it because there is a small percentage that you will find it at another TJ Maxx. But they all do pretty much sells the same stuff but some stuff I regret not get at other TJ Maxx. As I was here, I took pictures of stuff but I hope that cookie sheet is still there when I visit again. I also love that little chair they use to I'm guessing put up items on small shelves, I wish I had that chair at Walgreens when I used to do resets. read more

I was cheated out of a fair settlement for the injuries sustained in a slip and fall in their store and only got any help at all by mass mailings and emails to the board of directors...and it was right under a security camera.. I'll never shop in TJ , home goods or Marshall's again. read more

If I could give zero stars I would because the manager is so rude and racist. This is isn't okay to be racist and I don't know how this person is still working at the store when T.J.Maxx shouldn't allowed this behavior. The manager yelling at customers and not being able to do his job. You asked him for a price and he doesn't look he puts whatever price he wants and he doesn't make sure if the item actually cost that. I don't recommend this store. There was an Indian lady that thought by speaking her language we didn't understand but we did. She was be being so rude. Saying we not able to afford the items. Like any discount retail store you can pick up some good deals, but like most discount retail stores you need to sift through a lot of merchandise to find the right items at a good price. Still I think stores like TJ Maxx are awesome because I refuse to pay $70 - $90 dollars for one dress shirt when you can get the same shirt and the same manufacturer for under $20. Granted the selection will be more limited, but you can still get good merchandise at an affordable price. A couple of months ago I bought some neon colored Under armour shirts for $10. The same shirt across the street @ Sports Authority costs $35. It's about knowing what you want and what you are willing to pay for it. I feel much better about spending $10 than $35 for the same item. read more

Wow, my last review for 2017, ok here we go...this store is Well managed - the place is always bustling with new stuff and things are orderly and neat. They also have a nice selection of backpacks and computer bags for work, this is a big plus. The dressing rooms are also clean and so is the men's restroom. Finally, it's just a short walk to Culver's or HomeGoods, both of which are located in the same strip mall. Oh, and just across the street is the Empanadas place. You've got plenty of dining choices after your shopping. read more

I have to admit that this place was not the disaster that I feared. It was relatively clean and tidy. There were several checkout clerks, and the line moved very quickly. The selection of men's dress shirts was not extensive, but I managed to find two that I liked in the right size. And the prices are incredible--markdowns from $40 to $18 or $22. I also looked for men's dress socks but found none. While their dress shirt section was small, the racks of casual shirts (both long- and short-sleeved) was vast. The store is pretty big, so you might actually find some good bargains here, between clothes and luggage and household items, even electronics. Now that I know that it ISN'T a shabby trainwreck, I will probably come back in three or four years when it's time to buy a new shirt. read more

I am sucker when it comes to Shoppinnnggg(Who isn't eh !). TJ Maxx would be my one of weekend routines when I don't have an idea on how to spend time(More often than you think). This it the closest to where I live, an easy find. Store is huge and sectioned well, but also looks busy with the stuff all over at the same time. I didn't find much of trending stuff going on there for my style. Kitchen section is okay and my favorite is the food aisle..LOL. All the aisles are pretty packed with variety of brands and products. You will have a lot to choose from. The staff is decent too. Not a fan but would definitely go in there to see if I might get lucky ;). read more

Great place to shop. Lots of different items, from beauty to home decor, at great prices. I had the best experience at the store! All the employees were extremely polite and helped me find what I needed. I was pleasantly surprised by the diversity of items offered in each department. I would say they are well stocked, not an empty area in the store. I love the variety of purses and bags they have in T.J. Maxx. The selection of things is really great. This suburban T.J. Maxx actually has good selections on women's sweaters, coats, wraps, and accessories. I was pleasantly surprised. After visiting the tacky Carson's Clearance Center next door, my opinion on the T.J. Maxx was slightly elevated. Really though, I need to stop going to those department stores' clearance centers and start going to more T.J. Maxx locations religiously. I've never been disappointed in any T.J. Maxx, in terms of their inventories. Yes, a T.J. Maxx can be messy and congested with children, moms, and human beings who just enjoy wondering around for no purposes, but that's something lots of us can bear and still manage find something that we like or something that your significant others need. At the end of each season, T.J. Maxx and Marshall's tend to put some of the current-season merchandize on clearance. If you're one of those people who is very proud of not paying a full-price on anything, I bet you will love stores like T.J. Maxx and Marshall's. Make sure you're a self-sufficient shopper, because I really don't see sales associates circulating around and thinking that providing an excellent "customer service" is their priority. They are busy to get tasks done, so I'm assuming that you can bother them...but I usually leave them alone. Certainly you will see me at one of the T.J. This TJ Maxx is huge! In the winter they have the largest selection of jackets. I spend hours here. Well managed as well. The shopping center has a Homegoods right next door which is my FAVE! I like how there are other options right next to TJ Maxx in the same center. Well maintained and the facility is always clean. Eddy Bower, Sallys, & Pet Store its all there. Then eat at the little diner there and you have yourself a fun day. read more

Awful, awful, awful. Messy, dirty and the worst selection of merchandise EVER for a TJ Maxx. You will be so irritated shopping here your hair will come out in clumps and your left eyelid will twitch. Nothing is nice or arranged properly or even worth paying money for. The one cool thing you do find will either have a stain on it or be broken or ripped or have something missing on it. I've been to better thrift stores! Spending a half-hour in this store gives me a migraine. Save yourself the Excedrin and don't come here! read more

we have been shopping this store for many years, generally is has been just OK, fairly ransacked probably due to careless customers and possibly inadequate or motivation lacking staff. we recently shopped the monday after thanksgiving, it was amazingly pristine, well stocked and organized. there were three ladies on floor duty stocking and organizing, going at is with a fast pace. I was very impressed with the recent change, it made shopping less of a challenge, in fact it was quite pleasurable. I hope that they are able to keep stockers on their payroll and these three continue working there as it has made a significant difference. read more

This is my favorite T J Maxx location in the entire Chicago area. Its big, but not so big that it's hard to get around. And everytime I go here, they have new stuff. You might have to search a bit, but there's so much to be found here. And the customer service is great here too, which is always an added bonus. read more

4 stars because the have some interesting things here. I love the candles and can find Yankee Candles for a third of the retail cost. The customers are really terrible opening lotions, perfumes etc and using them like testers. Last time I was there I saw someone returning a used baking pan with baked on grime. read more

Been here a few times and largely unimpressed. Until today. In prior visits, this TJ Maxx typically carried pretty mediocre inventory - like most TJ Maxx stores. Not anymore. Coach & Tag Heuer watches and some pretty high end merchandise. And the men's department in this store is incredible. Ralph Lauren PURPLE LABEL items on clearance.
