Today was the second time I was in this store. I wanted a cotton white button down and based on my online search, it seemed Land End may have the shirts I wanted. No one greeted me, no one acknowledged my existence for 15-20 min after I was wandering the store. It's funny because there were A LOT of employees working. Most were just standing around either doing nothing or chatting amongst each other. One of the employees actually said they need to figure out how to get more people to the store. More people in your store won't do anything if your staff doesn't offer to help your in store customers. I asked 2 people for help and neither were helpful. I tried to ask someone if all the sizes were out and with her back turned to me, she barely muttered yes. I would have placed an online order, but decided not to based on my store experience today. I ordered a number of shirts online. The fit on 3 was a little odd, and the other 3 were poorly made, so I tried to start my return online. Happy Returns decided that my order was a gift, and so would not allow me to get my money back, only a store credit. (Hello in there - even if it's a gift, if it doesn't fit, someone (the person who paid for it) should be able to get their money back.) Hmm. I call the customer service number. Rep says there's a discrepancy between my billing address and shipping address. I ask what the difference is. My name on one is Margaret M, and just Margaret on the other. My street on one is XXX Ave, and just XXX on the other. It's a pretty stupid system that can't figure out that the bill-to and the ship-to are the same person. Rep tries to start a return, and can only send a UPS label. I've read horror stories about that online, and so I hold on to the items until I can get to a store. I go to the store. No signage indicates that online returns are done at a little desk in the back of the store, but no problem, someone came up and told me where I had to go. Clerk lady tries to start a return, but can't do it, says it has to be sent to Dodgeville. I have to agree to this, there's nothing else she can do. I give her credit, though, she did try to help me. I purchased 2 coats 1 I kept and returned the other. They sent my credit to an outside 3rd party. I did purchase another coat. It was a couple of dollars Less. With the difference tax and cost it only came to about 4.00 dollars. The third party informed be that they would keep it for my next order, refusing to to do anything else. I won't do business like this. it could have easily been a 30.00 difference. so today I called to remove myself from the mailing list. Lands' End has certainly gone downhill with respect to online shopping. Shipping is very slow and returns for credit are atrocious! It takes over a week using drop off Happy Return and 2-3 weeks if you ship it back to get a credit. Then they don't credit your account, but send these email refund cards with numbers and PINs for each return. It's impossible to keep up with what's available on what "card". So you have to go through each one when you make a purchase. It's terribly frustrating. Even ordering a different size of the exact same item requires this effort. As soon as I use my credits, no more Lands' End for me. It's too bad because I love the quality and the sale prices for many items which is why I give them 2 stars instead of 1. read more

I've been to this place exactly twice. Walk in get the feel like you're in the 1980s just like you do it the Lands' End catalog and each time the people work here are very short with you. I can take it. Whatever. It's lands end. This time the woman who was doing the return for me, berated me and shamed me and tried to correct me for not having the correct plastic bag for my return as if I should've known as if I should've known better and she had to tell me all of the extra steps she was gonna have to take to justify this return. Mind you it's a freaking fleece. I even printed out my receipt off of email like it's 1990s. I watched the person do the return. I watched her make sure that it was the right item and the whole thing didn't take long. It looked no different than returns. LANDS END SCAM at Happy Returns. Until Proven Otherwise, Happy Returns scans only a fraction of your return to Lands End, pretending to scan the rest. Lands End acknowledges receipt of these few items and pockets the money you paid for the rest. This is based on my experience 4/2/25. I did not check the receipt at Happy Returns. Never been scammed before If Happy Returns ships back to Lands End all items you intended to return, Lands End reaps $100 for a $20 item if it cycles through 5 times. Purchased towels as a gift. Recipient was sent the wrong colors - it was supposed to be a set and not even close to the color ordered. Now the recipient has to return the wrong towels. Lands End would not consider a courtesy replacement. Poor customer service for a repeat customer! read more

I recently had a very bad experience with a purchase from the Lands' End Store. We purchased a down jacket in the fall. My husband didn't wear it much until the cold weather in December when he discovered problems with the zipper coming apart and with the lining. We paid at least $125.00 for the jacket. We brought it back to the store where we were told the item had to be sent back to corporate because I no longer had a receipt. I did have a copy of my credit card bill with the charges on it. I just received a credit of $12.00! I went through all the steps in customer service in Lands' End. So much for customer service and standing by their products. I bought a shirt from your website several months ago. I didn't wear it for several months after purchase. Then when I did wear it after the third tome that I buttoned it, one of the buttons fell off. Then I was sitting in my chair looking at my computer and another button fell off. Then, I put in washing machine to prepare it for trip to dry cleaner to have buttons put back on and while in machine, another button fell off. So far this shirt has cost me the purchase price plus $10.00 to have buttons sew back on and other buttons sewn on properly plus one and a half hours of my time for three walks to dry cleaner. I've been wondering about this. Over the course of my life I have had many shits and I do not recall ever having a button fall off, much less three immediately after purchase. How could this happen? Did this happen to hundreds of other customers? Shirt was made in India. Isn't there any quality control in factory? My rating is zero stars. read more

Have only been twice, both times were toward end of the summer when swimsuits seem to be all marked down. Today I walked away with two complete swimsuits (tankinis) that I LOVE for $56! Last time I got several pieces to complement other pieces I already owned for about $10 each. So, if you take a look at the pictures posted, you will see they are from 2005. The clothes in these pictures is a perfect example of the opinion I had of Lands' End for years. Baggy, shapeless, boring, suburban grandma. I had a friend who would shop here because she is a kindergarten teacher and they sell a "stain resistant pant". Ugh. I wouldn't have come here for a t-shirt back then had you begged me. However, in the past few years Lands' End has really tried to turn around that impression with more stylish cuts, cute patterns, and better fabrics. Walking in for the first time a few months ago I was pleasantly surprised. Linen A-line skirts, wide leg trousers, fitted scoopneck T's for women, great button down shirts and trousers for guys, and very cute clothes for kids. Everything is extremely well made too, and priced right. Most things were in the $20-$50 range. The store is divided into two sections. The front of the store is the current merchandise, and is only discounted during a sale. The back of the store though, is what is called the "Back Rack" and is loaded with discontinued and overstock merchandise. Men's pants for $10? T-shirts for $5? A darling red wrap dress for $20? If you want a bargain this is the place to come! Oh, BTW, the Yelp listing on this is wrong. It's not called Lands' End Outlet, it's called Lands' End INLET. I happen to be travelling through MN today and thought it'd be nice to actually go to LE store. So, I diverted about 30 miles off my route-well here is my advice to men or those shopping for: Don't bother going if you are male. 1/10th of the store has men's clothing and at best the selection is sketchy! I asked a female clerk about the obvious lack of men's clothing (and forget any men's trousers with a waist size 42 or more) compared to the womens (where clothing ranged in every concievable size) and children and she said that mostly women shopped there. 5 stars for the customer service, and 4 stars for the selection of merchandise. This is an outlet (they refer to it as an Inlet) with men's, women's and children's clothing. We came for our boys, because this is our annual stop for Flurry boots, and this year it was time again for another winter coat. Sadly the down coats were super picked over, so we didn't make it out with a coat this year. But, we were able to score the last two size 4 boots in our favorite style. I am a huge fan of the quality of Land's End products, so we might end up ordering online. Something they have in their coats that other brands don't seem to have is their SnowGuard™ wrist cuffs with thumbhole to give extra warmth to their hands and lock out cold and snow. Despite my last review with the lack of customer service, tonight the woman that assisted us actually went into the back and brought out an entire collection of coats from the back in my boys size to see if there was anything that might work. She was determined to help us find a coat, since the store was having a 30% off sale. No luck - darn! Thanks for being a great alternative for us! I just left the Lands End Outlet store on Dempster and had the BEST experience. I regret not getting the two employees names, but it was a very tall man and short woman named Musharaf. They are working tirelessly to keep the store Covid safe by wiping the counter between customers, reminding a woman she needed her mask even inside the dressing room, and not letting the next customer in a dressing room until it had been disinfected. The store is immaculate and they are cheerful and helpful even with all the extra work on their plates. They are truly putting in the time and energy to keep the shopping experience lovely and safe for all of us. I got great prices from the sale area as well. It's a FANTASTIC time to shop here and when you do, please complement the hardworking staff, and thank them again for me! read more

Well stocked, organized, etc. However, the women that were working there the night that I went in to shop were so lacking in customer service skills that I left without making a purchase. I am so disappointed Lands' End decided to close their Schaumburg location as I am now forced to find my great deals at this location. Overlooking the lilliputian nature of the store, a crazy parking lot, and inconvenient (for me) location would be easier to do if the staff there did dot so eagerly display such a rampant disdain for their customers. It makes for a truly dreadful shopping experience. It is amazing how rude and uncaring they are. I have shopped Lands' End for years, both over the telephone, via internet, and in multiple "inlet" shops and have never found this to be the case. That being said, the deals here can be quite good. I have had my most success with men's trousers and an occasional shirt. Winter outwear selections can be be had occasionally as well. Ties are nonexistent, sweaters hit or miss. Shopping companions that have joined me for the trek have reported good success with ladies wear, occasionally racking up some outstanding buys on blouses. read more

A great place for amazing bargains. Khakis and Jeans for under $20, button down shirts for less than $10 and great selection of shorts, Polo's and jackets. Also a really good children's section. Very clean and organized store that doesn't feel like an outlet. Their clientele seems more clean cut than other outlets I have been to. Usually I am treated very well at this store but today I felt differently. Went in to return a catalog order and the clerk was helping someone else ahead of me. Never acknowledged me or said be with you soon. Other clerks were walking by but no one offered to help. Then another customer came up to pay for an item and a clerk came over to wait on her. I went to this Land's End store to return some coats that my daughter and I ordered online. There were 5 coats in total and this confused the Customer Service woman, Heidi so much. She started one return and then could not figure out which receipt the other coats went on. she actually told me that the item number from a coat of mine was to be returned on my daughter's receipt. That coat was the same style, but a different color and size. When I told her that was not correct Heidi got pretty mad. She told me that she was going to take the items "over here" (on a different counter) and that I should not say anything to her because I was telling her the wrong thing. If she would have paid attention to what I told her the returns would have been so simple and short. I was there for a good 20 minutes. Poor Heidi, she needs a refresher course on how to read receipts for returns. And when she handed me the completed return receipts I said "thank you" and waited... but never heard a "you're welcome."
