This store is also in close proximity to other excellent store in the area, so you can shop a lot of stores at once, so you're not going out of your way just to stop at this DSW. They have a very large selection of just about every style of shoe that you want. There's a limited number of sizes of every style, so you may not find your size in the style you want. They tend to have higher quality shoes than someone like shoe carnival or pay less, but the ones they carry are marked down by maybe $30 for a $120 boot. Sometimes they are 20-40% off of that price, but again you might not find it in your size. There's extremely limited customer service so you'll have to hunt on your own unless you happen upon a really nice salesperson that's not busy restocking shoes. Staff is very helpful and friendly and the store is very clean with shoes and other offerings well displayed. DSW is my "go to" place whenever I need shoes!

There's about 25 customers in the store, but one employee. I know retail is tight, but this is downright dangerous for this employee. We also found out after getting the total that only 1 of the 6 we got were on sale. The rest were full price. I wanted to leave there, but my mom really liked her shoes. The lady barely knew how to work the register. What really soured me was the manager. He started out nice, but I could clearly see this was an act because he turned extremely rude to his employees and an older customer who he talked down to. He screwed up and forgot to give her a discount and then acted like he was "doing her a favor". Combine that with no bags and barely any sized 13 shoes, I'll pay more for shoes down the street at Dick's I used to be in retail. I know it's a thankless job and customers tend to be pretty bad, but this guy should not be in management. If he is the face of Sketchers, it doesn't reflect well on the store. It seems like this store and company have given up.

I estimated that I stood in wait for around 15 minutes. Finally, when it was my turn, the cashier agent asked reasons I was returning, and I told why. She examined the shoes to ensure they hadn't been worn, scanned the bar code, and asked me to swipe the card that I paid with. The issue I didn't have a physical card with me, but because their device supports NFC, it can accept my digital credit card copy and it works perfectly. I didn't have time to tour the store because I needed to hurry back to work. I was irritated that I had to wait so long just to return one item. The only thing I can say is that the return process was made simple.

Took my tall Uggs to be cleaned. They were gross and I didn't think they could be saved. When I picked them up, they looked almost brand new! I'm so happy I get more wear out of them. The wonderful gentleman helping me cleaned them multiple times and sprayed with a protective coat so that they would stay nice and new looking. He also told me they can fix my slippers! Evidentally the same family has been operating this store from the same location for 37 years now, now being run by a guy named Bill and his brother, and taken over from their father. Perhaps more of note are the prices. I went to DSW recently to buy a few pairs of dress shoes, found nothing that I could walk comfortably in - and everything was pretty pricey. If the average decent shoe I tried on at DSW was 90-135$ - it is of note that at Athenian the prices for the same styles and designers were averaging 49-89$. Hugeness. So, a chronically pissed off shoe customer like myself walked out 20 minutes after I walked in with sweet pairs of Giorgio Brutini and Stacy Adams for about 130$ total. Giggity. The place is a hidden treasure. Go with immediacy.
